Character Name: Shorus
Species: Minotaur
Species description: Big, strong, fierce and not so dumb (average human intelligence)
Gender: Male
Noteworthy Abilities / Limitations: Sharp senses(except vision which is regular), Infra- vision, natural navigation skill (can get out of any maze, always knows where is the North), natural cunning, Natural armor and weapons (Thick hide, horns and hoofs), huge physical strength and stamina, a practical engineer type ( doesn't understand formulas and high mathematics but has a big amount of practical experience and therefore can build simple mechanical instruments, able to figure out how things work by trial and error). Despite his huge physical strength, Shorus's agility is rather doubtful. He is ok for a minotaur but in compare for other creatures he is pretty slow, he is actually not fast enough to catch his own dinner without using a trap.
Background: Shorus is a son of a hunter, so the others in his warrior centered village always gave him a hard time. Not accepted into the village society, he spent big amount of time experimenting with his father's hunting traps and became an expert of anything mechanical. He even once built a small catapult, using a picture he found as a guide.
Having good genes, Shorus is actually stronger than the average minotaur and he discovered it when he was recruited to the clans militia as a young adult. He was outstanding in heavy axe fighting and defeated even his superior officer, which was an unforgivable crime in Shorus's village. Shorus was expelled from the militia and is traveling the world ever since (as he has no intention of becoming a hunter like his father).
Appearance: About 9 feet tall, almost 4 feet in shoulder width, black fur and eyes, fierce face expression but rather intelligent eyes for a minotaur.
Reason for Detainment: The guards of Eblistan were rather racists and didn't like minotaurs too much in the first place(of course that might have something to do with the fact minotaurs ate few of them..) so when Shorus, driven by his interest to mechanical systems was caught glancing at the war machines near the palace, he was immediately thrown to prison on the charge of being a spy.

Whatever man, it's freeform in many respects. If someone wants to blast their way out of the cells, then I guess the rest of us have to adapt. Y'all better ready for a fight though, I doubt there's only a few guards.

Some of us could probably sneak out *looks at the rogue and assassin*, but others will need to find another way. Maybe a sewer system or something? Hidden passages? There's loads of possibilities I guess when you think about it.

I'm accepting you because you was in the interest thread. Oh, add something about your guy being physically slow, to counterbalance his many abilities - you know, big hulking strong warrior type that can remove doorways with his left hand, but would struggle to catch a chicken.

Any other entries will have to wait until we've escaped the dungeon.

Ah!! I also will get a post up but I haven't found the time this morning yet. I will soon though, hopefully. I've only been able to skim so far so, just to clarify, they are all in the same cell basically. Just one large cell. And there are multiple guards. And it's probably underground or at least down some stairs? I'm just going to assume there's no windows where they are at. I don't know, I'm rambling.

I went and placed my character across from the larger cell with multiple ppl in it, next to the minotaur in case your trying to get a visual idea. I'm totally picturing the tutorial mission from.elder scrolls oblivion as the setting and how the jail looks from my understanding, but I could be wrong.

From what Hamster wrote, it looks like at least most of us were in the same cell... I know Kyrtaar was in the same cell as Hamster and I... The minotaur was in the one beside us and Roman's character was across the hall from ours. I'm guessing the big monstrous guys probably have their own cells since that seems to be how it's playing out.

I'll add in a bit about doing the opposite side to 9.

Yeah, I thought it will be logical that a huge minotaur will be accommodated in a separate cell, and besides I wanted to break a wall ! :)
But please notice, Shorus didn't break the bars in his cell, those are made of steel and are too strong for him to break, he broke the wall between the cells and entered the adjacent cell where the majority of other players are imprisoned(leaving a huge hole in the wall), introducing himself and ready to run into the hallway through the already open door and backup the green eyed elf.

I left it vague as to who was in the cell, but I originally imagined just one large open room with chains and nasty torture contraptions. However, if people wanna be in a cell across the hall, or elsewhere, then that's all fine with me. I thought if we were all over the place then no one would interact but I'm not bothered :)

EDIT: I like how everyone has automatically copied my character summary hider. I thought it'd be useful if everyone knew where everyone was; especially when we get out and start doing stuff.

I thought it was a nice touch Hamster, it's actually really convenient to be able to see how everyone's doing. Woohooo! We're moving!

I understand that. That's why the minotaur has entered the adjacent cell, so he will interact with the others. Unfortunately people ignore the huge beast..
I also originally wanted Shorus to lead the attack on the guards (being a hot tempered minotaur and all), but Kyrtaar did it first, so I suggested to back him up (doesn't matter who starts the attack).

A quick warning, I'll be contributing to the IC at night (now), at least the first half of the week. Got family and work keeping me from 8AM-10PM. Won't be able to respond mid-day most-like.

EDIT: Also, we're at the start and we have enough people, and enough going on, that players/characters might not get notice. if someone's getting ignored, bring it up. If no one else, I'll make sure to remedy the problem. :]

Timings never really seem to be a problem, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm from the UK myself, which puts me topsy-turvy with some of you time-wise. So long as people are fairly frequent, i.e 1 post a day if possible, then nothing should grind to a halt.
