Hey, don't feel bad. Tech and combat's the way to go. those FILTHY BIOTICS aren't anywhere near as valuable as the gun at your side. In the first game, biotic powers are not anywhere near as good as the guns are, it's only at the second game where biotics become useful and remain so. Keep in mind that in the first game, getting a ton of kills with any gun will allow you to give any class training in that gun, so engineers can use shotguns, adepts assault rifles, etc. What I always found annoying was that only soldiers have assault rifle training. kinda weak...Anyhow, in the third game anyone can use any weapons they want, but the more you take the less powers you can use...

Admittedly, biotics(indeed, the ability system in general) are hard grasp and use at first. But stick with it and keep using the wheel and you'll eventually use it with nary a thought.

Go grapple fighter! I'm actually thinking of making a new Pathfinder character who's a grappler. I don't know if I'm going to make a Fighter Archetype or just go full monk.
