Good luck. I've been working nights for years, but the switchover is terrible.

Backstory:

Ur-Jubaal was always a little different then other Zern. While other Zern studied both arcane studies and guided evolution, Ur-Jubaal was bored to tears by the Arcane studies. Most Zern spent their days learning about the secrets of magic; Ur-Jubaal instead studied them. He learned about interactions, tells, and how to lie from watching his kin. After a while, Ur-Jubaal started to wonder why the Zern in their evolutionary quest studied inferior races instead of the race closest to perfection--the Zern themselves.

In secret, Ur-Jubaal began his studies of Zern--how they worked, thought, and felt. After only a single year of study, Ur-Jubaal got caught and was forced to flee in haste, leaving behind most of his lab and his experiments, the true source of the other Zern's ire. Thankfully, Ur-Jubaal kept his exploration supplies ready to go at a moments notice, giving him armor, food, and water along with some basic tools.

The other Zern's pursuit was relentless. Eventually, Ur-Jubaal took shelter in a cave that he had never seen before. As he went deeper and deeper into its twisting passages in an attempt to lose his pursuers, Ur-Jubaal stumbled and fell into a pit. When he awoke, there was a shimmering hole in the air in front of him. Deciding that if this hole took him to a different plane of existence, like the other Zern talked about, he could continue his experiments and expand their scope to whatever creatures live on that plane. Ur-Jubaal stepped into a brand new world of creatures just waiting to serve his work.

Since then, Ur-Jubaal has assumed another name to hide his identity, that of Ananta.

So this pair of off days was supposed to involve a lot more of not doing shit for work. I also work this weekend but I will try to get the OOC up, but my main problem is the motivation now since I am still dead tired from going from nights to day shift.

Last off set they had us come in for training in the middle of the day so I am indeed tired all the time. I feel bad for making everyone wait like this since I am now planning a more barebones OOC post.

I've had an idea for playing a barghest for a while. I'd have him go as a goblin for the most part, until he needs to kill or intimidate something, then he'd go Hell-Wolf and attack. I'd eventually have him go warlock/hellfire warlock.

Or maybe a griffon. Who would go monk.

So many options. :P

I am US military, I have this weekend off, so on Friday I need to run some errands, will go to sleep and when I wake up will make the OOC, even if it is barebones as all hell just so you guys can start getting really ready to do this.

You awaken a tree or animal to human-like sentience. To succeed, you must make a Will save (DC 10 + the animal's current HD, or the HD the tree will have once awakened). The awakened animal or tree is friendly toward you. You have no special empathy or connection with a creature you awaken, although it serves you in specific tasks or endeavors if you communicate your desires to it. If you cast awaken again, any previously awakened creatures remain friendly to you, but they no longer undertake tasks for you unless it is in their best interests.

An awakened tree has characteristics as if it were an animated object, except that it gains the plant type and its Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores are each 3d6. Maybe throw on the Giant and Advanced templates to make a MEGARAPTOR! :D

Too much?

If anything too little, you cannot hold items and it is only CR 3 so you will not really get much in terms of abilities and after level 3 everything will build up for more ability bonuses and natural attacks given how it looks now.

Yeah, I was thinking about having him go Druid, with the eventual goal of summoning more of him. I would call it... The Pocket Posse!
