Same. I love Venice.

Poland is good too, as are Babylon and Korea, e.g. Civs you can get an easy tech victory out of.

Dai Nihon!

Yea... I've only won via conquest in Civ 5. Much quicker (for me) than the other victories. So, I love playing as Japan.

Diplo is way too easy.

If you're going for a tech victory, you're most likely going to win a diplo victory long before which is why I usually turn it off.

I'm confuse, since Brazil is a republic, does it have a congress and how many are in congress?

I tried to answer your question and came across this:

From 1889 to 1930, the government was a constitutional democracy, but democracy was nominal.

In reality, the elections were rigged, voters in rural areas were pressured or induce to vote for the chosen candidates of their bosses (see coronelismo) and, if all those methods did not work, the election results could still be changed by one sided decisions of Congress's verification of powers commission (election authorities in the República Velha were not independent from the executive and the Legislature, dominated by the ruling oligarchs). This system resulted in the presidency of Brazil alternating between the oligarchies of the dominant states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. This regime is often referred to as "café com leite", 'coffee with milk', after the respective agricultural products of the two states.

You're a republic/democracy, but only by name. You should do some serious reforming to get rid of this corruption.

What's even worse is that, since Brazil is effectively an oligarchy, it's going to be really hard to get any change in government. The Oligarchs aren't just going to let the government they profit so much off be reformed.

I kept checkin' around and found even more bad news (now I feel bad ;P): Vaccine Revolt of 1904 and the Revolt of the Lash in 1910. Neither are too crazy, but they both stem from problems that Rare should definitely look into amending.

Pepperm1nts, I already knew about the Vaccine Revolt of 1904 and the Revolt of the Lash in 1910. The Vaccine Revolt was caused by the approve the Mandatory Vaccination Law. While the Revolt of the Lash was caused by the fact, that black people were forced to enter the navy, where they faced widespread discrimination and other shit. Both could be stop in a year or so.
