Cloudhaven - Dawn

-Peck-
"Fife moor minetsss" Xris moaned.
-Peck-
Xris swung without opening his eyes, and something fluttered.
-Peckpeckpeckpeck-
"Enough!" Xris shouted, rolling over... And fell out of the tree.
"AAHH!" he shouted in surprise, then landed in the grass with an "Oof!"

Xris wiped the sleep from his eyes and looked around. He wasn't in his bed, he was in some sort of garden area. Then it all came back. The video game, the announcement stating that the log out button had been disabled, and perma-death had been enabled, and the past couple of days. He had all but given up on reality as soon as he heard that they were trapped. The announcement said nothing about an escape, so he didn't know if there even was one, let alone how to find it. He still had a sliver of hope, however.

He struggled to his feet and stretched. After a yawn, he made his way towards the center of town. He needed to get himself some breakfast. Then he had some work to do.
Cloudhaven - A bit before midday

Xris finished his lunch of a ham sandwich under a tree in the Cloudhaven park. He then stood up and brushed the leaves and dirt off him, and made his way back to the Market district. He had decided that he would always eat lunch early, then preform at the market during lunch time, that way when people were eating lunch, they would watch him for entertainment.

He arrived at his chosen spot, and started. Pretty soon, a small crowd had arrived to watch while on their lunch break.

Well, that's one way to deal with it. With the small shrug of his small shoulders, he watched as the girl accused him of having an agenda. Really? A kid like him have an agenda, look at how cute he was. It was absolutely impossible. As she turned down his request, Chrys sighed a little, she seemed so capable. As the girl left and disappeared, away with the hope of getting this request done. "Well, this a waste of time. Sorry about this, well let's go find another person." Chrys stated with a bored voice, dropping the cutesy little act a little bit more. He felt shy still but at least he could drop that ridiculous stutter. Hey, he could try to find fun in this situation. A mischievious smirk appeared on his cute little face for a split second.

"Well, let's go then? We can go exploring for now. C'mon!" With a restrained but obviously elated voice, his smile grew wider as he wrapped both handss around the feline man's right arm. "Is that moonlight picnic still an offer?" He wasn't going to be devasted over something like this. As he began to walk, he noticed a crowd gathering at the town square with cheers and excited laughs. "Hey, let's go over there. Looks pretty interesting!" With a beaming face, he guided his taller companion towards the crowd.

As expected, the thief pretty much immiedietly dismissed them without giving them a word otherwise. Making the points he pretty much thought most people had. Prince really couldn't blame them, with all the PKing recently it was normal for people to be paranoid about being the next victim. Especially wih a class, whom trapped in a ambush, would have no chance at such a early part of the game. Despite how she left, the tall red head waved after her cheerfully with a happy smile.

"Okay glad to see you again bye bye beautiful!" Prince cheered before laughing softly and glancing to his companion to see how he handled their utter rejection.

Chrys seemed to take it well, as his once stuttering cutesy voice now resigned into a bored one. As expected, it appeared the cute act was a act of sorts. It wasn't a bad one. If one had the looks, they used them to their advatage in times of peril. Prince himself managed to get some snacks thanks to being tall and handsome. Course a adorable kid like this could probably appease both genders easily.

Though as Chyrs suddenly voiced in some excitement, even wrapping his hands around the feline's arm. Another little odd action since the boy didn't seem to much care when his arm was around his small body. There was no complaint from the red haired man as his ears twitched and his smile beamed. His tail flicking from side to side almost more like a happy dog. Purrs emitting his throat as Chrys questioned about the picnic.

"But of course, I wouldn't deny you cutie." Prince answered, grinning as he innocently nuzzled the top of the spiky hair with his cheek, like the feline he was but he didn't do it too roughly so he didn't totally ruin the air.

As they walked along, his ears perked at the commotion, curiously following close beside his smaller companion. "Mhmm looks like a street performer. Don't see too many of those." he whised but smiled, slightly thankful for his height that he had a easier time seeing what was happening.

CloudHaven

In the CloudHaven Tavern, Kevin Stonefall calmly poured a man a large glass of beer and slide it across the counter to him. The young adult wasn't one for loud places, but his workspace was usually always rowdy. The past few days had been like a broken record, just repeat... Repeat..... Repeat. He would wake up, and go straight downstairs and get to work. His apartment was right upstairs, he was hired by a npc to work in the tavern while he went on a trip to see his family in Skyrest. Kevin was already sick of the job. He wanted to do more. He heard about guilds forming, dedicated to going down, into the monster infested dungeons. That's what he wanted to do, if there was a way out, he was certain it was through the dungeons. Kevin sighed, and decided to close shop. The customers didn't like that, seeing as it was in the middle of the day. "Sorry folks, I'm quitting, I got more important events to attend to." Stonefall quickly left the tavern, and equipped his bate attire, it was got to know he had his sword on him. The PKers were starting to run rampant, now that they knew that no one could really leave.

Kevin was drawn to the bustling market, he had some coin to spend, his 2 day job payed him well enough. He moved through the crowd, glad that he could see over most of them. He probably stuck out like a sore thumb, 6'4" with blood red hair. The young adult quickly bought the items that he wanted for the plan he had in mind. He had a healing potion, energy pills, and some food and clothes for travel. Kevin was drawn from his shopping towards a commotion about a performer. Stonefall thought, 'that's very gallant of him. To do that in front of all those people, in a world where there nothing matters besides your own life.' Kevin had nothing but respect for that guy. He even decided to watch. Two women caught his eye, they weren't NPC's. Stonefall moved closer, "He's a very skilled performer," he commented, to get their attention. Once he grabbed both of their gazes, if they so wished to lay their eyes upon him he would say, "I'm Kevin Stonefall, nice to meet you m'ladies." He would flash them a wide grin, but would then become serious. "Have you ladies heard of any of the guilds around here? I'm looking to join one, strength in numbers right?"

Kevin doubted that they actually knew any guilds, but this was the first human interaction he had in this game. It was kind of nice to talk to people who had actual feelings and thoughts. The young man wondered what class they were, he knew that the system allowed for custom classes. This really amazed him, come to think of it, he had no idea what his class was. He pulled up his menu and looked under the "Character" section. It said that he was an Elemental Warrior, that seemed interesting. His skill list seemed well enough for a beginner. Of course, he never fought in the game yet. Death was an ever looming fear for Kevin. If he died, it all just...ended. Well, he would make sure it wouldn't happen!

"Walking" Through the crowded area, an odd figure was trying to push her way out. This exact player had been staying at a small inn nearby. When she had left the place, it had been decently late into the day (in regards to waking times at least) and thus, most people were already about heir business. Unfortunately for her, this meant she had to get through their business, just to find her own.

Doing a remarkable job of passing between people, the small figure managed to slip through small gaps, and hardly even had to brush shoulders with others. She gave an "excuse me" her and a "pardon..." there, rooting (get it) through the bodies and heading for the less densely packed road towards the gardens.

Just as she thought she may actually manage to get through without hitting anybody, a sudden step back from a large man knocked her off balance, she tripped and stumbled low, still frantically dodging people, until she finally failed.

Hitting a strong leg with her head and an "oomf" she landed on the ground. Her "feet" were obviously uprooted now, and gave a cold and somewhat unnatural feeling to her. It seemed this body hated being away from the ground.

She looked up, rubbing the side of her head. To the person he had collided with. Finding a very tall man, with tanned skin, red hair, and a gleaming eye. With her mouth somewhat agape she just took him in. Reading the man over with her berry pink eyes. "Uhh..."

Was all she managed to say.

The man was either so large to her (or so captivating) she did not notice the smaller boy at his opposite side.

"My name?" Serena questioned, "My names Jes-." She stopped short. It wasn't the first time she had introduced herself since the game had captured the souls of many gamers. . . But she started to answer it the same way many times. With her real name. They were in the game now though. . . She had best just adopt the name to keep it simple. "I mean, my name is Serena Landsworth! Light Knight at your service." She shrugged off Aeona's hand, did a bow and tried to keep a smile. This woman was. . . Awkward, to say the least. Nice, so far, but awkward to Serena.

Serena looked around to see if this woman, Aeona, had traveling companions. . . It did not appear so. "Are you by yourself?" She asked the woman. At this point, Serena was sure she was alone. "If so, you looking for a teammate?" The girl thought she might as well try it. She might say no, but there was never harm in trying. Even with the chance of her being a PK, Serena figured she could just shrug off her damage enough to escape or just batter her enough. "What do you say?" Serena had a look of hope in her eyes as she asked. . .

Prince was happily watching the entertainment, humming a soft tune until his ears perked as he sensed something coming at him. First, his instinct wanted him to dodge out of the way, but he soon paused when he caught the glimpse of a falling person who sorta looked like a miniature tree. Soon finding that she smacked her head against his leg. His tail slightly fluffed in his surprise but did not move, soon he relaxed and gave a friendly and slightly concerned smile down to the apparent Druid. Light green skin, pretty pink eyes, makeshift limbs made out of roots. Defiantly a Druid.

"My my, hello beautiful maiden of the forest." Prince purred a greeting before leaning down and held out his free hand. "Are you alright? You took quite the fall there and I'm sure my leg didn't help the impact." he chuckled, his blue eye curiously looking at her.

Eira Glowheart according to her profile. Such a interesting class and one that could prove most useful. He could provide some distraction as she assists them in the quest. Perhaps luck was on their side or all these chance encounters were the start of fate's thread in their adventures. Who could say?

"My name is Prince, and this is my fellow companion Chrysanthemum. Excuse me, this may be sudden but I'm not passing up this lovely chance luck has decided to throw me. We and my friend here wish to go on a quest, but we require three people. Don't worry we aren't Pkers or robbers. Even if we were your much too cute to do such a thing to." he said cheerfully, his smile bright a warm.

"But of course your free to refuse. Perfectly understandable." He assured as he gently gripped her root shift hands.

This game wasn't all that bad like so many freaking people considered. He was with an attractive guy, today's weather was nice and the street performer was really great! Feeling the feline's cheek on his pointy hair, his face looked up, the poor sucker really did offer Chrys a date. Add that to the list of why it's not too bad to be trapped in this crazy death game. As a reply, he gave a genuine smile before returning his undivided attention to the harlequin on stage. Being captivated by the street performers actions and movements. Chrys laughed modestly, with an adorable smile on his face of course, as the clown continued with his over exaggerated expressions and gestures. Really, this was most fun he'd had since he'd been in the game, he'd been busy training, grinding, farming, buying potions and all that. Not much chance to really experience the fun aspect of this damn death game huh? Letting go of his companion's arm to cheer and pump his small fists in the air, he noticed a green colored with a lot of twigs in her hair or perhaps it was quite literally a bird's nest, either way, he moved out of the way to only see the girl knock into his kitty little friend next to him.

Opening his mouth to ridicule the girl with snarky words, bitchy statements and sarcastic attitude, he realized just how foul his mouth was (and how his non-existent mother would be ashamed and grab a bar of soap) so he decided to shut up and bit his tongue so his aggressive comment wouldn't come out. That was a first. Watching as the crimson tail reacted slightly, maybe it was an erogenous zone? So many evil and horrible ideas filled his mind as his expression slightly darken and his smile slanted on the right just a bit. Prince sure did have a way with words though. "Maiden of the Forest?". Really? Maybe he was a Shakespearean teacher or something. Scanning her profile and learning her name and class. Eira Glowheart. Druid. It was a strange class based on what he heard, a class that can do both roles of mages but couldn't take a hit. Why would a clumsy girl like her be such a class? She's was so gonna get blown up. Chrys was a judgmental asshole, that was for sure.

Watching as Prince helped her and introduced him and explained the details of their small dilemma. Did he just call him Chrysanthemum? Geez now he had to talk. "U-um, you can c-call me Chrys for short..." Chrys tried to say as he was reduced to the little blob of cuteness. "U-um... You don't have to join.... But there is a reward of 600 gold. I'll split the earnings... So... Do you mind helping us?" He put on a slightly worried and anxious face while he spoke to the girl. All he needed was another person, having a healer would be useful for sure so it was in their best interest to try and recruit this player with pink eyes.

Affected Players: Isaac, Pyotr

Isaac continued to watch the Harlequin's performance with interest, his smile gradually growing as he began to forget the scenario he was in. It went on for a blissful 5 minutes, as laughter, cheering, and good moments were created. It was going great until he wondered if the Harlequin used to be a performer in real life...Isaac's smile faded. Yet he continued to watch, and when the Harlequin had finished, Isaac was the first to clap, and it was followed by cheers and other chatter from the crowd as they made comments about his performance. Isaac sighed, his gaze still on the Harlequin.

Pyotr went on and on in his performance, going from an over the top heartbreaking monologue, trying his earnest to draw sympathy from the crowd, to a rousing speech and finally ending his encore performance with a few light-hearted jokes, trying to break up the dire situation some might find themselves in, and make them forget about their worries if just for a few minutes. He flounced and waved his hands, the smiles and cheers driving him on, till he finally called an end to it with a last joke to send the crowd on their way happy, thanking them profusely all the way - though he did make sure to keep his eyes on the more interesting ones, especially so when he found a particular boy, one with a rather striking appearance with his fair blonde hair and tan skin, evidently staring at him. Bowing and smiling and soon having dispersed most of the audience, he kept his eyes on him, staring right back until most other people had gone on with their business - though the harlequin didn't take his gaze off him for a second, even raising a painted eyebrow, wondering whether the boy would say anything.

Isaac hadn't realised that he had been staring the whole time, but it became apparent to him as soon as the Harlequin looked right at him, and raised an eyebrow. Isaac blinked a bit in surprise, and could feel a bit of heat on his cheeks in embarassment. He cleared his throat. "Sorry...I didn't realize I was staring," he said, "-it'snotaboutthewayyoudressIswear" he added quickly. He hated being awkward, it was one of the few things that made him an idiot. Like joining this game."It's just that I'd been wondering during your performance.... how do you do it? I mean, how are you so happy? You're one of the very few people that seem to have a smile, or seem to make the most of it, and damnit, I want to know how." His voice wavers at the end, he felt his eyes begin to water. The Harlequin gave Isaac a grin before tumbling off his stage quickly, until he was right in front of the taller boy. "Well, that'd be the question, wouldn't it?" He examined the knight-like figure standing in front of him from top to bottom, the grin not having faded from his face as he looked up at him. "Well, allow me then to be serious for just a minute - a rare occurance, treasure it! - my life before this didn't go so well, mmh? But here, you can be whatever you want! Tell me then, if you want, what was life like before you got stuck here?"

Isaac's gaze looked down on the Harlequin's painted face, "It was how I wanted it to be, and I wanted nothing to be different. The idea of me being in this life..this virtual, fake life...with my parents and family at home looking at my real life body, thinking I'm in some sort've coma or dead it just sickens me!" He slowly exhaled, looking up at the sky for a second as he did so before looking down at the Harlequin and talking again. "Not to mention all the Pkers everyone's been talking about, and the people that have already died just two days into the game. I'm just...overwhelmed. I know I need to increase my levels and experience so that my survivability is more likely if I ever do meet a Pker. But I can't really do solo quests because I'm a mere support. I'm not really one to do much damage. Just to help peel for people who do do damage, and soak up all of the damage for them you know?" Another deep breath, trying to calm down a bit. Isaac was sick of being homesick, and being annoyed at this stupid game.

"Ah, so what you are meaning to tell me is that you are searching for a group to be safe. Doesn't look like we are so unlike each other, you and I!" Pyotr let out a bright laugh, slapping Isaac on his armored back before withdrawing his hand in a grimace of pain, though neither his laugh nor his words stopped for as much as a second. "My calling is to make people smile after all! You don't like people killing each other in this game, do you?" The harlequin got on his tip toes, trying to go eye-for-eye with the boy though he was still short a couple of inches, "Well, it seems like you have found your calling in protecting those who need it! Maybe in the grateful laugh of someone you saved from a killing blow, or in the sheer appreciation of someone you helped protect, you will find your happiness? How... noble! How lordly! How inspiring! But first! We must find you these people to protect, I say! We must find your happiness and grab it, and not let it go again! There must be groups who are simply dying at the prospect of having someone like you protect them! On our way, then!" He took hold of the Hope Seekers arm with both hands and tugged, though soon realising he had no chance of budging him even an inch by himself, and settled for just moving up ahead, looking back at Isaac to see if he would follow, or if he had anything else to say.

Isaac smiled faintly as he slapped his back, and did a slight laugh when he saw his grimace of pain, but before he was able to respond the Harlequin was already rambling on. He had never thought of such a thing, the happiness of saving a person as a support...the idea appealed to him. Every character was a person in real life, besides the NPC's. If he was able to save a couple real life lives...he'd be doing something good for the real world. He could make a real change. The idea lightened his chest, feeling like a faint weight was off his shoulders. What the Harlequin had brought up had a good point of view, a good path to follow. He could still make a change for the people in the real world, and he would do a good, no; brilliant job of it. A tiny tug caught Isaac's attention, realizing the Harlequin had tugged him, before motioning to follow him. Isaac gave a white smile. "Let's go find that group"and he walked with the Harlequin.

Xris was doing a marvelous job, and the very small crowd cheered him on as he flew around doing all sorts of tricks one after another. He was having fun, too, except for the fact that the small crowd he had would never cough up the amount of money he had wanted to earn that day. He had always wished he was nimble and agile, but in reality, he wasn't the most fit person there was. He wasn't fat, oh no. He was almost too skinny, but wasn't really that strong. He was more sort of wiry.

As he was getting close to the finish, he glanced over the ledge to the lower part of the city. What he saw at first made him surprised, then angry.
So that's where everyone is! he grumbled inwardly. It seemed like a different street performer was preforming in the part of town he had claimed, and was doing good enough to be a threat.

the boy finished his act and gave a bow. The small crowd cheered and tossed coins into the hat that he had bought for that exact purpose. He didn't really like wearing hats. As the crowd began leaving, Xris looked over the edge. People nearby could almost see the steam coming off him as he glared below.

This needs to end now! he thought, and jumped off the edge as if he were doing a belly flop. As he reached the half way point of the fall, he curled up and did a flip before landing on his feet with ease.

"Hey buddy, this is my turf. You wanna work, do it somewhere else!" he exclaimed angrily. He normally doesn't talk like that, but there was something about playing MMORPGs that really makes one want to sound cool.

Cloudhaven - Market District
Affected Players: Chrys, Prince and Eira

Eira simply listened to the man without giving much of a retort. Her mouth had stayed open open until his hand fond hers. She looked to the two intertwining, her cheeks filling with a bit darker green. Her brown and rough appendage glaring back at her to ruin whatever moment she had though was happening. It was interesting how she still felt with it, the warmth from the red heads palm translated to hers just as it would if she had her normal body. She met eyes once again with the man and stumbled some words out.

"Uh...s-sure..." What she was agreeing too or affirming, she wasn't exactly sure. With some level of clumsiness she got her "feet" back on the ground and stood to her meager height, her renewed and constant gaze into the blue eye was only broken when the other person began speaking.

Prince smiled a little as the smaller boy started to stutter once more, explaining their quest in a little more detail as well as shortening his mouthful of a name. Eira nodded somewhat as if a response to his hello. "Uh..." She looked between the two. They could still be evil....She hadn't dealt with it herself, the stealing or...killing. She had sort of kept locked up inside the center of town. "...Okay..." She nodded softly a few times. "I can come with you..." The tall cat man purred as the Druid shyly agreed to their request.

Chrys on the other hand was having less... optimistic thoughts. Wow, was this girl a faker like him? The girl was quiet and meek, not only that she was totally shy! How could someone like her, who doesn't even try out do him in cutesy attitudes? Maybe it was because the girl was actually pure and not corrupted unlike the wonderful and absolutely bitchy Chrys. However, he has to deal with this girl and with a half hearted smile, he nodded and let out a nice and simple, "Th-that's great! I can't wait to work with you."

Eira wasn't sure how much she could trust them, but she needed to do something. If she just sat around she would waste away her whole life up in hat virtual inn, and she didn't want to stay...this way.

"I'm...Eira." She lingered on her name. She wasn't sure if introducing herself in the games name was smarter or not. For a while it was all she had been going by, but...a part of her was worried she would actually start thinking of herself as that, not Sarah as she actually was...

It took her a good while to realize she was still holding hands with this person, and she with a nervous mumble withdrew it gently yet quickly. The tall cat man purred as pulled her root made hands away from his. It was quite a surprise to feel such rough texture, yet still feel warm with life. It was nice though, the smell of the forest and the silent whispers of leaves felt quite relaxing.

"it's nice...to meet the two of you."

"That's great! Then we got a party! Yay!" Prince cheered with a wide smile before wrapping his long arms around the both of them in a big hug. His ears twitching a little in some of his excitement before he released his strong hold on his new companions. Uncomfortably close to two new people the druid began to panic inwardly. A whole plethora of objections quickly filled Sarah's mind but before she could fail at saying them clearly the hug was over. Chrys' excitement, however, was pretty decent, he could go get 200 gold from a quest. Didn't he left the information in his inventory? As he was caught in a hug by the giant kitten, a bit hard there, he thought about how he was going to adjust with this life and as he was let go, his face turned serious and the demeanor he had went from bored to something with authority. He walked ahead of them and looked at the two with determined balls of hazel.

Prince merely chuckled as his two much smaller companions pulled away after releasing them, his carefree smiling expression never changing even when Chrys got more commanding and serious. It was quite difficult to see any change with the felines mood. Perhaps it was a mask like many others, perhaps not. Either way, it would be apparent he didn't completely leave his emotions on his sleeve. Though he was not surprised at Chrys's attitude. Again, it was one of the many possible conclusions of this boy. That is why only truly naive people underestimate a cute face. Stumbling back a bit and crossing her arms as to keep any intruders away, Eia looked with flush cheeks at the smaller boy. His face had turned from it's previous soft one to one of commandant.

"OK, I'll send you a party request and I want you to accept understood? Also, since this quest seems to be a hard one, I need us to practice our co-ordination." Chrys swiped his hand to the right, revealing a white menu with grey lettering. Where was it? Party Request... Party Request..... Found it. Third option. Pointing at the option and he clicked their profiles and sent them each a request. Another request popped up on his screen, asking to be in a party with himself. Wow, did they really think he was that stupid?

[Party Request from Chrysanthemum Hayazel
Accept Request? >Yes No]

Accepting his own request, as redundant as that was, he opened up another menu. Quest list. He remembered taking the quest and putting it on his reserve list. "OK, I'll send you both the quest details. Be warned though, we will need to stock up on this quest." He spoke again, he wanted to make sure both of them knew what they were getting into. He wasn't going to deal with 2 dead bodies.

[Quest Received from Chrysanthemum Hayazel
Quest: Oh no! I've Lost My Miracle Seed!
Description: Someone please help me? I went for a walk down the Cloudhaven Sewers so I could find something to train on. However, I found a rare item on the way there so I decided to keep it in my inventory. But then I was driven out by this huge monster and now it's in the monsters possession! I'd go back down and fight it but I'm too afraid so I'd hope a group of people could come and get it for me? Please! It's my treasure ever since I've been trapped in here!
Rewards: 600 gold, 3 steel ore
Requirements: A party of 3 or more. Miracle Seed needed for completion]

"Seems like this one quest where we need to be ready for anything. I want to go on a few training trips first so we can co-oridinate our attacks together better so we have a chance. Also bring as many potions, healing crystals and equipment as you can. We'll get killed if we aren't ready. You can back out now if you want to but please remember... Death IS part of this deal." Chrys forewarned them in a strict tone. No one was going to die as far as he was concerned.

He went on about coordination and teamwork, and soon a request found the druid's and buccaneer's HUD. Eira scanned the silver gilded party request she familiar questions filling her head. Should she actually go with this? Biting her lower lip a bit she looked quickly up between Prince and Chrys. Well, she couldn't really back out now, sure they said she could, but it didn't feel like she should... Accepting the request she simply tugged her arms behind her back, the twisted wig intertwining. "....Okay..." Was all she said after the small brown haired one finished speaking.

"Mhmm sounds great." Prince grinned as he swiped his right hand and accepted the party invite after reading over the quest. "I bet you ten gold the creator of this game loves Pokemon Mystery Dungeon." he laughed softly before humming. "Well then I better to get my adventuring pack. I'll be back, I'm heading back to the ship I work for to get it. Unless you want to come." The tall man purred, seeming not fazed at the warning of death being final. Then the red head practically bounced along through the crowd, heading toward the docks to apparently get his items he would need for this journey. He had to be prepared after all. A class like him needed potions.

Hopefully, they understood the danger they were getting themselves in. Knowing that Chrys already had everything in his inventory, he nodded as the feline man decided to go off and grab his equipment. Shaking his head in refusal to Prince's, he stared at the cat man walking towards the docks of Cloudhaven. Chrys gave a glance to Mother Nature next to him. "You going anywhere? If not, I recommend you go and check on your supplies." With a sigh, he folded his arms and looked downwards, thinking about what he'd need to do. "I think we should part for now, Miss Glowheart. Remember to stock up on potions and the likes okay?" With his back turned, he turned his head to the pair and with a smile, he spoke, "I'll send you and Mr Prince a message then we can meet up here. See you." He needed to go see the sewers and see what monsters lurked there. As soon as Eira thought to actually ask question about what to do, it seemed that her partners already knew where they were going.. Eira turned to her other teammate when he began to speak, when he finished she managed a small "O-oh, alright. I'll try...See you." And with that the boy was off, leaping up a building with ease. The small druid watched with some amazement, then after their body had completely disappeared, she looked down to her own.

Her gnarled arms and legs sneered at her, 'you'll never be able to do that.' She sighed at the thought, all the ways she loved to move back home she wouldn't be able to do now...Sulking a bit now, she decided to make her way back through the crowd. Any items she would have are either in the inn, or the gardens. "You'll get out...you aren't always going to be a tree..." She murmured reassuring thoughts to herself as she not so gracefully pushed through the crowd, the earlier notion of not hitting anyone was long gone.

Cloudhaven Market District
Affected players: Lovissa, Zen

The young lady pushed a strand of her messy hair behind an ear as she watched, smile ever present and gracing her otherwise pouty lips, and she definitely clapped as one of the loudest when the Harlequin's little show came to an end. After which, he seemed to take off with another young male from the crowd, to be disrupted later by somebody who looked like they were looking for trouble. Maybe they were a PK, like she had heard of? Ah, it didn't matter to Lovissa. Not in the slightest just yet, she had nothing to do with the people otherwise, though if the occasion called she would talk some sense into both parties. Perhaps for the sake of quelling arguments and building more proper bonds between people. Everyone needed a friend of some sort to keep themselves from being killed. It was almost something she'd regretted by turning down the two males from earlier.
Ah well. I'll find something to do.
Noticing a flash of silver in the corner of her eye, she spun on her heel to notice another player in the crowd with striking hair, and not an NPC since his username was up there, hovering above his head clear as day in the shiny lettering. It was long, and complicated, and too much so to have been of an NPC. She dismissed it the instant she saw it, the NPCs were by mention much more easy; simpletons. This person looked like they were in deep thought, or distressed about something. The logical thing to do would be to ask, and as the crowd around them dispersed, the thief closed the little distance between him and herself and made her presence quite clear, even clearing her throat and standing right in front of him. She had to look up at the man, though she made a quick scan of his attire. He looked like something out of a comic book, really. Some...Japanese samurai comic book. Perhaps from back in real life? It didn't matter. Conversation was to be made.
"Hi. I'm assuming the forlorn expression means something is wrong, good sir?" she purred, eyes mimicking the ocean with how they gleamed in greens and blues and turquoises in the daylight, and maybe something more. They shone with a playful, calculating spark.
Avoid using his name at all costs. Wouldn't want to pronounce it wrong, after all/

Cloudhaven
Affected Characters - Xris, Isaac

Pyotr flinched in an exorbitant manner, moving an arm in front of him for protection and shouting in a high-pitched voice. "Shrieks! A villain has appeared!" He looked to the side, relieved to still see Isaac there - seems like his first task came even earlier than planned! Taking a step closer to the knight, he looked at the wiry boy - he didn't seem particularly dangerous, but he wasn't about to take a risk with somebody who would just off a tall ledge with a flip just to confront him. Clearing his throat, he lined up a response. "The adversary confronts the hero! But he is quite wrong, for there wasn't any sign that said 'Only thin blonde people with green eyes are allowed to perform here!'"
The harlequin examined the one standing in front of him - it was rather clear that he was an acrobat with the dexterity he had displayed so far and his build, perhaps someone they might even have some use for! "After all, it is the people's choice of who they want to see perform, and they chose me today, my springy friend!" Pyotr turned to Isaac, expecting his loud and strong approval right about that time.

Zen continued to stare at the harlequin, acting as if he didn't pay attention to the person who had just talked to him, but he took note. Zen was panicking just a slight bit, someone had just came up to him and tried to... talk to him.

Why?

Zen could not answer that question, at least, not without getting to know the person, and getting to know someone meant talking to that particular someone. While Zen knew the person couldn't do anything such as slit his throat in plain sight - or perhaps she could if she was quiet enough about it - Zen was still a bit on the cautious side. Slowly, but surely, Zen turned to look at the person who tried to talk to him, questions floating around in his head. Perhaps the person was an NPC? But, as Zen looked at the person, he knew it wasn't any kind of NPC.

It was the same person Zen had acknowledged earlier, and even then, Zen was extremely cautious around her until he dismissed the option that she could be a PKer, but now? She was striking up a conversation with him for no reason. Zen would have to navigate this field of landmines carefully.

"Nothing is wrong," Zen said, carefully analyzing the girl from top to bottom. "Do you need something..." Zen looked at the username hovering above her head, deciding to pause mid-sentence to address the girl by her character's name. "... Everglade?"

Cloudhaven - Market District
Affected Players: Pyotr

Xris had nothing to say as a reply. This man had some very good points. It wasn't like Xris had bought this land, nor it wasn't his fault that the people like him more than Xris.

"What would you suggest, then? I have needs just like you. I was here first, so this is my hunting grounds. If you're going to be performing here, we're going to need a schedule of sorts." Xris said, raising his eyebrows. So much for the proud approach. At least this man seemed at least somewhat reasonable, unlike a lot of people he had met.

"Oh, the name's Xris Vincin, I'm a street acrobat." Xris said, holding out his hand.

((Meh, sorry for the short post, I just felt like I needed to get something out.))

Cloudhaven - Market District
Affected Players: Pyotr, Xris

Isaac watched as the man had tumbled down onto the ground, followed by The Harlequin's unique way of talking. Isaac couldn't help chuckle a little. Who says 'shrieks!' when they're in panic? Isaac's gaze was on the somer salting man. He didn't feel like this man was a threat, but the display that he did to confront the two was certainly interesting. "After all, it is the people's choice of who they want to see perform, and they chose me today, my springy friend!" Isaac blinked, being snapped back to reality to look at Pyotr, who was looking expectantly at him. Isaac gave a confused look, and before Isaac was about to ask what he'd done the somer saulting man spoke up. Apparently his name was Xris and some stuff about territories or whatever, he hadn't really listened. Isaac's gaze went to Xris's hand, then went to the Harlequin to see how he would respond.

Isaac's face still held faint amusement throughout the whole scenario. Two street acrobatic people arguing over territory in a video game...'how will the action unfold?' he mused.

Cloudhaven - Market District - Affected Characters: Avon

Vallence grinned and gave Avon a thumbs up. "Great, I appreciate the help." He then looked around. Many performers had been working in the Market District. He hoped maybe he could convince some of them to help spread the word that he was looking for a party with Avon. Then an idea began to form in his mind. What if he instead got the news out that he was making a guild that was active in the action. Active in attempts to move forward in the game and progress. A guild that worked to keep people safe from those insane few that were killers.

He looked back at Avon with a thoughtful expression. "What would you say if I told you I wanted to make a guild? I bet there's plenty of people out there itching to get out of this city and try and figure things out. It'd make things safer too. Maybe we could get some of the performers here on board and with them recruit new members?" He wanted to know what Avon had for suggestions about this before taking action, after all the creation of a guild was a group process.

"Ah, but alas, you have no proof of that." the harlequin said with a grin, though stretching his hand out and shaking Xris'. "There are some that call me Pyotr... and they would be right, as that is my name. Harlequin, bringer of fun, artiste, maestro, virtuoso! And this..." he added with a flourish, letting go of the hand and waving around to point at the Hope Keeper to his side, "...is the protector of virtue, the chevalier of chivalry, the baron of, err... benelovence, and MY understudy, Isaac!" Pyotr took a deep bow, before spinning around to look at Xris again, his eyes bright and his smirk as wide as before. "Currently on a journey to bring charity and joy to all those who need it, and get food in our bellies in the process!

CloudHaven || Docks

Prince walked along, smoothly moving around people as he headed to the docks, wondering how well this mission would go. Hopefully well but one could never be truly sure. Many possibilities ran in through the felines mind. The monsters being to strong for them, or one of them making a fatal error that would cost a life, the possibility for betrayal... Though Prince doubted the Druid was really a threat to them, he had a but feeling about it, the small boy he was unsure about. By his quick change of expressions earlier, he used his looks to his advantage and that could pose the point of the possible betrayal outcome. Yet he also had the feeling the boy wouldn't exactly try and murder them.

There was a certain feel with killers... It was hard to explain really. They had that look in their eye.

Flicking his tail at a memory, he shook his head and walked into the ship he last piloted, waving to the NPC that gave him the job. He went below the deck where lots of boxes lay, though the feline moved to the back corner covered in three boxes stacked on top one another. He moved them aside before pulling up a loose board to reveal another wooden box that was smaller in size. Opening it, he took out twenty health potions and magic potions as well as a agility potion.

Pondering if he should bring his collected gold, he shrugged as picked up the small purse, putting it around his neck then pushing it into his scarf, hiding it from sight. Smiling in satisfaction, he put everything back to the way it was before heading out back into the city streets. Ears twitching as he thoughtfully walked.

"Ah, nothing is wrong, yet you're one of the last people to leave the little gathering around the Harlequin's makeshift stage, good sir. You must be lost in thought I thought. Besides, there aren't many samurais with...err. Glossy silver hair like yours. Wherever did you get it?" the thief grinned back at the man with a pleased, almost manic glint in her eyes, though a playful charm lingered around her smile as she purred a little, puffing her chest out a little to make herself look a little prouder when he made his careful observation. His eyes were watched by hers. Green and twinkling, and her hair, near-completely dry by now from the morning shower still glistened with the afternoon light. It was a strange kind of look she had about her at that time, some might have mistaken it for flirtatious, if looked at from one angle. From another, unfortunately very close to which the taller man was looking down at her from, she'd appear on the verge of insanity, grinning like the Cheshire Cat himself, and her expression just as difficult to truly read.
"Last names, eh? How...gentlemanly. But of course, samurais were always very courteous. I would try pronouncing your name, Mister...Ze...uh. Zeh-uh-en-an" she shook her head. That definitely didn't sound anything like his name, but it would have to do for that very attempt. She'd stick with calling him sir. It was easier on her at very least, and his earlier minimal shock detected by her keen eyes would make sure he wasn't a threat, and possibly wouldn't slice her to bits should she have gotten his name wrong.
"Why did I approach you? Let's see...to be frank with you, I cannot remember why I do much anymore in this accursed place. I think I had a question. Maybe I've just gone crazy. You don't think I'm crazy, do you, sir?" she shook her hand dismissively with a pout, the grin never leaving her lips for too long. The question was one to be saved for later. Maybe she really was going crazy. Or just becoming one hell of a socially-awkward bumbling fool when not brushing anyone off with the utmost sarcasm.
"Oh...wait! Yes, yes I do remember now! Fabulous!" she mused to herself, clapping her hands together as if in a congratulatory little applause to herself before looking back up at the man, her expression hardening into one of a little more seriousness, with the smile waning to a smaller version and her eyebrow rising, natural curiosity at play. "I...actually, I was wondering. Your guild, what's it like? I saw some on the way here, but...uh. I dunno. Didn't know if it was worth joining one or not. What do you have to say about it? You...are in a guild, aren't you? Most everyone is by now. I think I'm the only one left out, really! Except for these two people who approached me earlier, I mean...they seemed to be ready to just ask a random stranger, I wouldn't assume that they were part of a bigger group. Or maybe they were, who knows? They seemed nice enough, but it wasn't an offer I could really accept. So I declined, kindly as I could. I don't know, maybe they must have been the underdogs of some group...but who knows? Who knows anything anymore, am I right, my good sir?
...in fact, I wonder if I can call you Zen?. I'm not as formal as you I'm afraid. Lovissa's the name, but Everglade works just as well. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, a little more formally at this point."
The woman froze for a minute but chose to just lower her head in a little bow. She didn't know whether to curtsey, or extend her hand for a shake, or anything that seemed normal in this world. Anyone might have mistaken an extended arm for an attack. So her head dipped in a tiny bow before rising back up slowly, expression softened into a genuine smile and curious, almost childish eyes, giving away her youth.
