Quick comment. In the list of cities, Attolia is listed as Wretched when it's Fair.

I'm only allowing Cale to make a mercenary company. This is because, if everyone had a mercenary company, there would be a lot of ways you could kajigger it so that the companies could both act in their best, rational self-interest, and do nothing but serve your own kingdom's interests.

This way, there is only one major merc. company, and they thusly have a monopsony, making collaboration as mentioned difficult.

Cale also has an understanding with me that I am confiscating them if I feel he is abusing their power. He's the only one who can make a merc. company because he asked first. Sorry, lads.

If you're an evil sadistic and murderous Lord or Lady, don't expect to get my cheap merc group. I mean, if you're something like chaotic neutral, sure. Maybe, maybe evil on some acceptions. But I think I'm gonna have the group attack towards the south/south west, so hireable by north/northeast. All depends honestly

Hey guys, I'm back. I'm hoping to get my initial post up soon. As for my crops, I was hoping to get some raiding in to recieve crops, but I'm not so sure anymore. Everybody else is almost twice the size, if not thrice, of the Ironstone. Getting into a war right off the back would be suicide. I will have to look and see with my crops and such. Also, I was wondering about using a patrol. The Ironstone has recently dethroned the previous lord and declared independence. But that would turn most of the united Lords of Lundland against them. So is it possible if I use patrols to prevent news of the rebellion reaching the mainland?

You're lucky I'm no metagamer, Ulster. Not to threaten you, no. But I would, or will, send my troops to create order (or my own if you'd like to think), if I ever found out.

I wouldn't take control, just stay until a new Lord is assigned, then help bolster and strengthen forces before pulling out

I was working until 3am last night. Ended up sleeping for eleven hours. Shame shall be mine forever!

I'll be on skype or another chat tonight to finish the PMs I started.

@ ulster: Perhaps this was a misread on my part, but I read your history as your considering to declare independence, not having actually declared it. If that were the case, even on an isolated island such as yours, news would reach the Crownlands pretty fast, due to your trade ports being widely accessed by all the other sea trade ports.

Since it's too late to really edit your sheet, I recommend buying crops from So Boerd, or another nearby lord. It'll be costly, but the Growing season's fast approaching.

And on that note, the new season begins at midnight tomorrow. If you haven't made your orders, a simple bullet-point list of things you'd like done is all that's needed. An IC post is not necessary for every season, but your orders are, so please get them in!

EDIT: I've also completely forgotten, I'll be needing to get the Church and Overlord sheets up soon as well.

@Flooby, I'd like to wait for Ashgan's permission so I know they'd even be allowed to dock. I mean, an entire army is at his port...

Also, that one message was pretty quick, will I be getting response to the original before the next season?

I'm here. Quite frankly, I haven't really felt like or had the time to be active here, so I kept postponing getting to stuff. Since the deadline for handing in orders is today (though I do not know which timezone's midnight we're aiming for), I'll be around for the time being and get around to whatever needest be done.

What's that? I don't know about no fleet, didn't see mention of it in the IC either unless I missed it.

I see! Thanks for pointing that out, I actually missed that as it turns out. Uhm, yeah, your mercenary group may land in Mortham, if they enjoy a reputation of being reliable and not a bunch of pillagers. The kingdom's people will most likely keep an eye of them, but they're permitted to stay for a while so long as they do not cause problems. They are also informed that for the time being, the lord of Almare has no interest in hiring them.

Sorry for not seeing this earlier Cale!
