Grankle walks around the forest near his den. He seems to be looking for something, "Where did Grankle lose have his shiny-rock last..." THWONK! A rock hit him in the head, "Hey, dumbass!" A goblin shouted from a tree, "This your quartz?"
"Me Grankle, not Dumbass. And yes that's Grankle's rock."
"Well, it's mine now!"
"No it's not."
"Oh it most certai--" THWANK! Grankle threw a rock at him, knocking him out cold. He fell out of the tree with a heavy thud, dropping the gemstone.
"Grankle's rock again." He picked up the quartz and began to walk to his den.

"Prepare to meet your doom foul demon!" The knight yelled towards Darrken, who was sitting on a rock fishing into a stream. Darrken ignored the man and kept fishing. The knight seemed to be perplexed and then angered. "Face me evil beast!" He tried again. Darrken still sat fishing. Darrken's lack of interest and concern enraged the knight. "Prepare to be sent to the foul depth from whence though came!" The knight yelled, rushing forward, sword raised above his head.

As the knight got near Darrken, he swung his sword down with all his might. Instead of burying itself deep within Darrken, the sword bounced off his skin with a metallic "THUNK!". The knight looked down in horror as he saw Darrken's flesh was now iron. Darrken threw down his pole, and stood up and spun around. "I was about to catch a fish!" He bellowed at the knight. Darrken's eyes had turned pure black and it seemed as if black flames shot up from the ground around him. Before the knight could react, Darrken thrust his iron fist right through the knight's chest and out the other side.

The knight slowly crumpled over, dead. After searching the knight's body, Darrken was pleased to find some food and a few gold coins. As he sat down to eat, he saw a fish grab his bait and drag his fishing pole into the water. Darrken sighed loudly. "Always when I'm about to catch a fish."

Remes was downwind to a large buck. He was good enough at a bow and arrow to hit a target. That is all Remes needs. The poison tips do most of the work. He prefers traps thou but all he gets is small game. A deafening sound came from the stream, the buck lifted it's head in the direction of the stream and ran off. Remes cursed a little . "Well, it seems that I will be eating rabbit tonight.". thought Remes. Remes checked traps on the way to the stream because firstly he needs water to clean himself and the kill and secondly he fancies a dip in it but lastly to find what made the sound that scared his prey. On the way, he got a rabbit in a snare and a squirrel in another. After resetting the snares, Remes proceeded to the stream.

Grankle's stomach rumbled lowly, "Grankle needs food..." The troll scratched his chin, "Aha! Grankle will catch and eat a fish from the river!" He hurried to his den and this his gemstone, he then set off for the stream.

Darrken had just finished eating, when he heard a low rumble in the trees in front of him. He stood up and listened more intently. It sounded like a large animal stomping through the woods. The only animals he knew that didn't care about making itself known were bears and other predators. Darrken smiled to himself. He always loved a good fight. As he readied himself the noise got closer. It was getting louder and his anticipation was growing. Then, out trudged a troll. Darrken relaxed a little and eyed it quizzically. It was busy muttering to itself to see it. It plodded past him right to the water's edge. He watched as it attempted to catch fish.

His eleven side warned Darrken that trolls were dangerous and not to be trusted. While his demon side told him to kill and loot the creature. His eleven side piped up that trolls rarely had any treasure on them. To which his demon side gave his eleven side the middle finger. Darrken shook his head and decided to play it safe: "Hey there...you." He called out. "How's the fishing?"

He waved, "The fishing isn't bad. Grankle just started fishing, though. So fishing could be bad, but then again it also could be good." He grabbed a sharp rock and hummed it in the water. A few seconds later there was a little red in it and he reached in, grabbing a catfish, "Okay. Fishing not bad today. How are you doing?"

Darrken rolled his eyes, shook his head and smiled to himself. "I'm...good." He wasn't used to pleasantries. Especially not with trolls. Well not with anyone really. Everyone Darrken encountered was to be distrusted until they were killed or posed no threat. This troll seemed harmless enough and didn't seem to have anything valuable on him worth fighting over. So, with that Darrken decided to take off, but a small growl in his stomach made him stop. The food the knight had was not enough. Darrken had an idea, an awful idea. He had wonderfully, awful idea. He could could get some free food out of this troll. Alright, so it wasn't that wonderfully awful, but sometimes it's hard to think on an half-empty stomach.

"Tell you what...you. I'll make a little fire and you keep catching the fish. Then, if you share your fish with me, I'll share my fire with you and we can have some nice cooked fish. That's sounds wonderful right?"

Remes came near the stream. He slowed and dropped to a crouch. What ever Made that loud sound could still be roaming around. Through the foliage, he saw a troll in the stream and a half-elf that has unusual features for one. There was a knight on the floor, not moving by the looks of it. Remes weighted the risks and took the risk to expose himself. Remes stepped out and said " Hey there." Remes kept a safe distance.

"Sure!" Grankle answered, "That's a good plan, Grankle likes it." He put the fish on a large rock and took out the stone, using it to gut the fish, "You start the fire, Grankle will catch more fish."

The troll noticed Remes and waved, "Hello! You want to share fish?"

"I am good. I have a rabbit and squrrial" said Remes. The troll seems friendly but the half-elf has an uneasy feeling about him. "A fire would be nice. I could cook It for you and your friend."

Darrken turned as the creature emerged and wondered to himself: "Why is everyone so friendly?" He huffed and threw the knight's body into the woods as he started gathering firewood. He walked up to a sizable tree and looked it up and down. Satisfied he had chosen correctly he turned his arm into iron and reared back and with one punch, fell the tree. He then turned the rest of his upper body into iron and began to break the tree into manageable pieces of firewood.

Once he was done he piled up the firewood, took a stone and began to scrape it against his arm until the sparks caught the firewood. As he stoked the fire he eyed the new creature that had just arrived. He didn't appear dangerous or to have anything valuable on him. He had never seen a creature like this so he couldn't be sure of anything. He sat down facing the fire and both the troll and the beast creature. Watching them both. He wold be damned though if he wasn't going to be getting some fish out of this.

He nodded, "Sure you can stay and help Grankle and his friend. Let Grankle get more fish, though." The Troll went back to fishing.
About fifteen minutes later, Grankle had about twenty fish on the rock, "Is this enough fish? It was pretty easy catching them," he brought the rock with the fish over near the fire, "What're your names, anyway?"

As the half-elf took care of the tree in mere seconds, Remes went to the stream to gut and skin his prey. "I am Remes" he said to the troll "nice to meet you."He throw away the guts and skin of the squirrel. The rabbit fur somewhat in demand and rabbit's feet is never out of style. When the fire was ready, Remes skewed his prey on an arrow to cook on the fire.

Darrken's eyes widened at the site of the fish. He loved fish. It was his favorite thing to eat. Maybe it was the crunch of the scales and bones. Maybe it was being able to eat its face. Maybe Darrken needed professional help. Whatever the reason, fish was his favorite meal. He quickly turned his hand to iron and began to cook the fish, one by one, in his hand and devour them.

"Darrken." He replied through a mouth full of fish. He looked like a dog eating real gravy for the first time. "Get your fish now, before I eat them all." He slurped, still keeping a close eye on them both. Free food aside, he still didn't trust them. Well, the troll seemed harmless enough. Anyone that got him fish must be half-way decent. What the beast man said, he didn't know how to take. Darrken just shrugged his shoulders at him and kept eating the fish.

"Grankle is pleased to meet Remes and Darrken," he grabbed a few fish and ate them raw. After finishing his meal, he said, "If you want to know where Grankle lives, it's right over there," he pointed away from the river, "It's in the hill, Grankle dug a hole in it and fancied it up." He went off in that direction and waved goodbye, "Goodbye, friends!"

"Bye Grankle" said Remes and finish his meal. Remes stood up and said to Darrken " I hope we may never have to cross paths on opposing sides. Well see ya." Remes went downstream hoping to find a path. He thinks he needs to hear some rumors. As the sun sets, Remes sits next to a tree trunk and falls asleep

A while later...

Grankle is sitting in his den. He notices a Goblin with a telescope outside, "Scout!" He ran outside and hummed a sharp rock at him, scaring him out of the tree and making him run far away, "Grankle must prepare..." He went inside and opened the closet and looked at some armor inside. He puts on an iron helmet, leather armor and chaps. He looks at a pair of spiked steel gauntlets fondly and put them on. He went outside and knocked down a few trees strategically, making some makeshift walls out of them. Goblins aren't known for their climbing skills. Then he carried some boulders to the front, where the walls end and fenced off most of it, making a fence of sorts with a small opening in which maybe only one or two Goblins could get through.

"Grankle is ready."

Grankle has dealt with Goblins before, so he knows what to expect. Goblins aren't great strategists and his plan would ruin their flank. Kill about ten invaders and the others chicken out and run home. However, the Goblins had a trick up their sleeves this time...

Four hours later...
"ATTAAAAAACK!" The commander screeched. The Goblins came later than Grankle expected. Grankle threw a sharpened rock, piercing a Goblin's brain and killing him. Two invaders managed to get up the quite steep hill around back and attempted to jump onto Grankle. One was then a gory splat on a log, the other managed to bruise Grankle's back fat. He was then hummed into one of his brethren, knocking them both out cold. All the Goblins fled, "Aha! Grankle will feed your dead to the critters..."

THUNK. THUNK. THUNK. The ground around the Troll shook, he looked confused and concerned.
"GRAAAAAAAOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR" A gargantuan Ogre roared.
"What was that?" Grankled looked to his left, seeing the Ogre climb over the logs then attempt to club him, but missing. Grankle ran to a boulder and picked it up, throwing it at the Ogre and knocking him over. This was Grankle's chance. He ran over to the Ogre who just stood up and headbutt him, knocking him over yet again. The Troll jumped on him and began to pummel him, taking out a few teeth and breaking his nose. The beast flung him into the hillside then went to finish him. Grankle got up and dashed over to a tree that was still up and climbed it. The Ogre ran over to it, attempted to break it with his club. Grankle got higher up and bodyslammed the Ogre, killing him. The Troll wiped his pants off and carried the bodies away from his home and into a local wolf pack's territory.

Darrken watched as the two creatures parted ways. The beast-man's words made Darrken furrow his brow in confusion, but he continued eating the rest of the fish. They seemed like decent enough creatures. The beast-man was a tad on the dramatic side, but okay none-the-less. Darrken liked food and loot and anyone who gave him either couldn't be all bad. He finished the last of the fish and laid back and watched the fire as his eyes slowly closed.

Some time later, Darrken awoke to the sound of a large crashing sound off in the woods in the direction the troll went off. He slightly cocked his head to get a better listen, but the noise seemed to be contained to that area. Unconcerned, he began to drift back off to sleep. He awoke soon after to a constant rustling sound in the trees around him. He looked up just in time to see a small man jumping down on him shouting: "Sneak attack!" Darrken didn't have to time think how odd it was that someone would say "sneak attack" before attempting a sneak attack. Not even saying, yelling it. Only a crazy man would do that. A tiny odd crazy man.

Darrken rolled out of the way and the man lands right here Darrken's head was. "Stab stab!" The tiny man yells trying to poke Darrken with a dagger. Darrken jumped back. "What is your problem?" He yells lunging forward to punch the tiny man in the head. "Flee!" The man yells running away, his arms waving in the air like a lunatic. Darrken ran after him. He wasn't going to let a tiny little man dictate his actions to him and get away.

The little man was quite fast and disappeared into the woods. As Darrken kept running in the direction the man had went, a small blue fireball shot from out of the woods and hit him square in the chest. It stopped him in his tracks and Darrken frantically put the flame out on his chest. "Damnit, that kind of hurt!" He yelled into the woods. "Then this should feel fantastic." Yelled a voice from the woods as an arrow pierced his chest. Luckily it wasn't deep and Darrken yanked it out with an ungodly yell.

"Show yourselves cowards!" Darrken bellowed. From out of the woods strode two men, with the little man standing behind them, dagger at the ready. He quickly surveyed them. Near the front was a heavily armored man. He wasn't a knight though, for his left hand glowed blue. So the fireball had to come from him. In his right hand he held a mace covered in crosses. Crosses are never a good sign to any type of demon. Darrken knew that, but his brain reiterated it to him. Behind him stood an elf, bow in hand, aimed right at Darrken's head. Behind him cowered the little man. Mumbling "Stab stab." The elf spoke up first: "You killed our brother in arms. You will now pay with your life."

"Look guys." Darrken started. "Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who..." Before he could finish his statement the armored man swung his mace right at Darrken's face. Darrken leaped back just barley avoiding it. "Fine then." Darrken growled. "I don't know what kind of weirdos team up together, but this is where it all ends!" Slowly it seemed as if Darrken's skin was burning. It began to blacken and slough off in patches to reveal iron underneath. His eyes turned black and the very ground beneath him erupted with black flames.

The armored man grinned under his helmet. He was a demon hunter and he lived for this moment. Darrken lunged forward at the hunter trying to grab his helmet. The hunter rolled out of the way with surprising speed for someone in full armor. Both the elf and the little man sprinted back for the safety of the trees. The elf let fly an arrow, that harmlessly bounced off Darrken's iron skin. Rearing back, the hunter swung his mace at Darrken, who put up his arms to block it. It connected and with a mighty "WHACK" sent Darrken flying back, taking down a few trees in his wake.

As Darrken rose to face the hunter, the little man jabbed at him with his dagger. The dagger bent in half. Without looking down, Darrken grabbed the little man by his head and threw him at the hunter. Without missing a beat the hunter swung his mace, batting the little man away from him and killing him instantly. "Holy shit!" Darrken exclaimed. Stopping in his tracks. Distracted, the elf run up behind Darrken to thrust one of his elven blades into Darrken's back. Darrken spun around and caught the elf's wrist. "No elf magic today." Darrken sneered crushing the elf's wrist. The elf fell in pain holding his wrist.

Darrken turned just in time to avoid another hit from the hunter. "Today you will die hell spawn!" Exclaimed the hunter." Darrken avoided the next few blows. "That, is, a, different, creature!" Darrken bellowed back. The next swing from the hunter's mace struck Darrken on the face, sending him flying back and landing next to the wounded elf. The hunter raised the mace over his head and swung it down towards Darrken. Quickly Darrken grabbed the elf's blade and thrust it into the hunter's chest.

The hunter slowly slumped over and died. Darrken turned to the elf, out of breath and badly injured. "We'll call it a draw." Darrken panted, slapping the elf and sending him flying backwards. Darrken slowly hobbled away."What a bunch of freaks." He said limping to find shelter and recover.

Remes was finding it hard to sleep. He rose slowly and stretched his body. He continued downstream to find a path to a nearby town. A while later, Remes found a well-lit bridge but it had a elf on it. He was wearing leather armour and had a wooden shield and spear.

Remes approached the bridge and the elf noticed him. The elf asked " Are you Remes? " Remes nodded " I am here to stop you putting up snares and traps in the forest that I am protecting against exploitation." Remes said to the elf " so you are a druid, I take it? If so, why me? There is a troll and half-elf in the too. They could be causing damage as we speak."

The druid replied " Indeed I am a druid. I am dedicated to stop hunters coming to this forest for many moons. You are hard to track. Also I needed to see if I can find any weaknesses. As for those two, they are not my concern." Remes shrugged because he know there was going to be a fight. Remes put down his rabbit pelt and bow. He was not good at hand to hand combat but he could disarm, grapple and bite the druid's neck.

Remes took a stable pose and said " I am ready." The druid smirked and raised shield and spear. The two circle and finally the druid launched the first strike. Remes moved his body so that the spear would catch in the shoulder. As quick as the spear was in, Remes swiftly broke the shaft. The druid was surprised and angered. " You will pay with your life" said the druid throwing down the shaft.

The druid drew a concealed knife and took rapid strikes. This was Remes's time to take action. As Remes dodged a strike, he tripped and pushed the druid on the ground " Surrender or pay with your life." Said Remes. " Never will I surrender!" Barked the druid "Your choice." said Remes and he bite off two chunks of flesh off the neck. The druid screamed in pain and shortly bleed out.Remes got his things and walk down the road. He needs to get his shoulder fixed.
