Dresden leaped, moving forward at incredible speed, as he twirled and stabbed Rayden in the chest with his blade, laughing at the vampire's pain. The human turned, too late to catch up with the rapid movement. No matter his skill, his eyes simply weren't good enough to follow the speed of a sprinting Trueblood. He threw Rayden aside with a flick of his arm. The vampire was not dead - the Crimson Blade was not made of wood - but the blood pumping out of his chest would weaken him greatly. When Dresden killed the rogue vampire, it would be with his bare hands.
As the human fired, time seemed to slow down. Dresden had been expecting the shot. Unlike humans, he could see quite clearly. The bolt flew at high speed. Faster than gravity would take him down, so that wasn't an option. He wouldn't be able to move his entire body aside in time to dodge the blow, although he could take it on his soldier. However, Dresden instead chose to do something foolish. Standing before the bolt, he rose on hand...... and caught the bolt in midair. The arrow tried to keep moving, jerking his hand forward, the tip stopping inches in front of his skull. However, it did not pierce it. Dresden smiled, snapping the arrow in half, as he advanced on the human. "Tell me your name, human. You fight like a vampire. Now choose to die with honor."
