Do other parts of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise feature in this RPG? Such as SMT If ..., which the Persona series is a sequel of, or the Devil Summoner series, seeing that Kyouji Kuzunoha turns up in the Persona 2 duology.

Persona is it's own sub-series in a separate universe to the classic SMT, so no.

While a different timeline (Raidou 1/2 -> If ... -> Persona series), there are concepts from SMT that do appear in Persona (eg. demons, Devil Summoners, the Kuzunoha Detective Agency). So they won't be featured in this game?

Name: Leiko Hamada

Age: 16 (Starting Second Year at Warakuma High)

Appearance: High School Drama Queen

Leiko's sense of style radiates a potent aura of sophistication and rebellion. Eschewing her school jacket and ribbon, she chooses to wear an expensive, imported apricot coloured Angora sweater, along with the standard Warakuma skirt, and black stockings that reach just to her skirt's hem. She also wears specially customed rosewater perfume, the fragrance of which is noted by many who meet her for the first time. Her auburn hair is naturally wavy, but she tames it with straightening products every morning before school. Her use of makeup, whilst minimal, is effective in giving off an air of class.
Her wardrobe is mostly influenced by European fashion, and with the sage advice of her fashionista friend Saya.

Arcana: Empress

Personality: Brash and outspoken, Leiko has a powerful aura that few people can deny in her presence. For this reason, she is often found to be the ringleader of her group of friends, and with her confidence, is also the self-proclaimed star of the Drama Club. She is either sweet, or very sharp and scathing depending on who she speaks to, and due to her snobby nature, many classmates are either afraid of her or try desperately to fall in her good graces. However, with power comes a price, as Leiko sometimes doubts that the people close to her really care about her at all...

Equipment/Skills: Wooden Spear (A prop from drama club, later upgrades to real spears.)

Background: Born and raised in a fairly affluent family, Leiko had always treated other people like they were different from her. Beneath her, in a sense. For this reason, she was met with hostility from her classmates, and for a long time, Leiko was isolated from her peers. However, in her middle school years, Leiko finally snapped when she was confronted with a particularly vicious school bully, and rather than suffer in silence, she fought back, to the surprise of many. This caused her popularity to soar, and soon enough, Leiko had gained a group of friends and the reverence of the school, which then carried her forward into High School. Now, she is considered one of the most popular girls in school, but only accredited through her wealth, and her intimidating demeanour and reputation. Deep down, she suspects that her 'friends' aren't really her friends at all, but she chooses not to dwell on it, instead focusing on her studies and her acting hobbies. She is also currently engaged via her parent's wishes, and she is set to marry when Leiko graduates from High School.
She has heard about the new rumours circulating around school, but pays them no mind, and merely thinks its a case of delinquents playing too many violent video games.

Since the start of The True Self, Leiko has shown her enthusiasm and commitment in her role as Drama Club President, going as far as leading the recruitment campaign by herself, with some relative success from the male demographic. She has a strong work ethic in regards to the club, but shows doubt in her leadership abilities, particularly whilst under the scrutiny of her fellow clubmates, such as an arrogant male named Masatomo Owada.

Bonus fact: She absolutely despises the name Leiko, and insists on being addressed as Hamada by everyone, with the exception of her close family.

Garula
Tentarafoo

Saya Ueno

This is an RP, not game.

My assumption is that the Velvet Room connects to other SMT franchises and series through the Compendium which summons those same demons.

Would also be more accurate to call Persona a separate dimension rather than timeline too. There's nothing in Persona that directly connects it to SMT other than as works of fiction, or the demons/personas.

While I'll defer to your judgement on not featuring mainline SMT concepts in Persona, the claim that nothing in the franchise directly connects it to SMT is blatantly untrue. Two characters (one from SMT If ..., the other from Devil Summoner), appear in the series. Both former protagonists, even (although Kyouji turns up as a ghost possessing a detective).

Apologies, however, for starting this off-topic conversation.

Contracting with demons is a concept shared between both mainline Shin Megami Tensei games and Persona. The characters of Tamaki and Kyouji have minor roles, but roles nonetheless. They're cameos, true, but they do serve a (admittedly rather small) purpose in Persona 2. From simply the gameplay option of being capable of contracting with demons, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that Devil Summoners (such as Tamaki) exist.

But really this has gone way beyond the original point of whether Devil Summoners or the like will appear here or not, the answer of which is no.

Well. In my mind the cut off is Persona 3. Past there, it all becomes its own thing. Igor becomes a higher entity with more interesting lackies, you have social links and Personas born from childrens hearts. Oh and animals. And Machines.

But I assumed unless they directly stated, there is no corrolation between a past game. And or Universe.
And I wouldn't count references, they're merely easter eggs.

I actually quite liked Philemon's Velvet Room minions in Persona 2. Nameless and Belladonna really added to the atmosphere with the piano-playing and singing.

A lot of the stuff changed between Persona 1/2 and Persona 3, but I chalk that up to Philemon taking a less active stance in the world (eg. hanging around as a butterfly save point). Still, the connection's still there (tenuous, but still there). After all, the Kirijo Group is an offshoot of the Nanjo Group (mentioned in Persona 3).

Um considering Chiaki is new to town. I don't think that is a good Idea. Its not like she has any Idea where she's going

Edit: Oh, we're in an amusement park. Welp, I'ma needa a map.
Double Edit: Oh, no we're not. Sticking by my first statement.

If no one takes the Tower in the roleplay, then sure. Sorry, but I wanna give other people a chance to get a persona in the roleplay if they could ^^;Once part 1 of the roleplay is finished, then I'll make all remaining tarot cards available, however only make one character for it.

Sorry, I was being rash. I get where you're coming from.
