I guess that makes sense, although you might have thought that the soldiers would have become selfish. By that, I mean they would have been safer behind their Apache gunships, cruise missiles, tanks and machine guns than if they went AWOL. They would have seen how bad things were first hand, no one in their right mind would have just "walked off" on a suicide mission to find their families.

However, regardless of what the TWD canon indicates, we already have enough soldiers in this RP. Any more and the idea will quickly become trite.I'm not sure if your last remark was a snarky jab or a good-natured joke. In case it was the former, that sounds like a false dichotomy to me. You can have an interesting and complex character without them being yet another experienced badass from the army. In comparison to the idea of , fried chicken warriors sound quite entertaining and original.
