"Thank you." Chase replied with a small smile curved on her lips; but the smile lasted shortly as she heard shockwaves of bullets and smashes. Without pure intentions, Chase walked to the infirmary door and exited the place. Knowing that chaos is in the distance, she leapt up with the spring of her feet, landing on the roof of a four-story building.

She observed the three fellows waging hellfire against each other. Two men were armed with weapons, and a disfigured orc-like monster charged after them with relentless brutality. Suddenly, a familiar scent was caught in her nostrils; the same smell that came from her wintry coat when she woke up from the infirmary.

"Matt," she whispered, staring at the man whom she presumed to look like him. If there could've been any assistance she can acquire to the humans, she would use them to help strengthen their abilities, or help them defeat this monster. But she is not adept to this sort of skill, she's a weakling. If the vampire she met could help her, then she would develop the skills to fight with these mortal beings - and avenge the vampire who killed her Alex.

Tabea nodded and let Chase pass as she walked out. Well, now she had a newbie to train. She'd probably pick some bits off here and there to find her own style, but before that she'd need to know her limits. Gosh, was this going to be a pain. Tabea waltzed out of the infirmary and climbed on top of a abandoned building, watching the battle unfold. Idiots. They were all idiots, fighting for a lost cause. All because someone had broken the oath. Was everyone really this stupid? Tabea sighed, sitting down and imagining of what they'd be doing now if the war hadn't started. She noticed 'him' and glared, trying her best to track his movements. That barbaric son of a cow was a mess. Tabea wished she could just jump down there and slice his head off, but that was insane. Too...too good at fighting, he was, although she hated to admit it. Tabea continued watching, mostly staring at Darren.

Matt, this time stunned at the fact that the shot hit. He stood there blankly staring at Dresden's motionless body. He placed Michelle on the roof of the car and hopped down, walking over to where the beast lay still. Glancing at Dresden's Crimson Blade, he grabbed it picking it up and thrusting it into the air shouting, "Your leader, Dresden has been killed! If you bloodsuckers don't want to meet his fate, you best get the hell out of this village and far from it, or I will personally hunt you all down like the dogs you are!"

He grinned in triumph as the vampires began to flee to village, by some strange miracle they had won. Though they had lost many people, they had beaten back the vampire force, at least for now.

Rayden was prepared to face his death when he saw the bullet hit Dresden. His regeneration was taking too long and he knew it was game over for him. Suddenly he heard Dresden scream and saw that Matt had fired the last crossbow bolt straight at Dresden's chest and by some miracle,it had actually hit. The dead body of the elder vampire fell to the ground and disappeared and the other vampires, seeing that their leader was dead, fled the village. Rayden struggled into a seating position and let his regenerative abilities do their work. Soon enough, his wounds had been reduced to just a deep cut and he was able to walk, albeit with some pain. Walking over to Matt,he then said,"Well, guess its over then".

((Nope. Doesn't dsapear))
No. Dresden had been prepared to lay here, dead, in order to fool these humans. He would have let them have their little victory. It wasn't about them anymore. It was about Matt. He wanted to see more of the human before he sired him,Quicker than the human eye could follow, he grabbed Matt's arm, breaking it in two, before retrieving his sword. He made sure not to shatter the bone. The wound would heal. He smiled, as he stood, turning towards the small group of human survivors.
" 'And no arrow or blade shall slay the chosen one. And no mortal will defeat him. For he is death itself, and will not reap his own life.' Behold, humans. Your death has come." Laughing, Dresdenwalked over to Rayden, brandishing the Crimson Blade, as he grabbed Rayden, holding him up by his neck. He could kill him now, simply by crushing the neck. It would sever the head. He lifted the vampire to his eyes, grinning toothily. "Well then, traitor. What say you, when you're faced by a living prophecy? I am the Chosen One, written in the Vampire Bible, that will enact the will of God upon the world."

Matt screamed out in pain from Dresden breaking his arm. He turned to see Dresden, crushing Rayden's neck. Near passing out from the intense sudden pain in his arm, he grabbed his pistol from its holster. "You just...don't know..how to die..do you..you bastard?" He said aiming at the back of Dresden's skull, vision going blurry. He began pulling the trigger, then it all went black and he fell to the ground with a thud, unconscious from the severe pain.

Arthur had decited to walk though the woods for a good peaceful time, walking thought the woods he was wearing his usualy Black habit suit with his white shirt and red slips which he had come to love and didn't stop to wear since the early 1930s in the great area of the mafia inside in a holster is his favorte gun an very old flintlock gun that he had picked up around the late 1600s centory back in the 13 British colonies only to wake up around the start of the 1900 after his long sleep to find out that the world has dramatly changed and for himself it has changed for the better so many new people to meet, so much to learn about and to see if the humans still have that group of people of crazy lunatic nut jobs still kicking around.

Walking in the forest he found a lovely lake, walking towards it Arthur sits down by the bank of it and looks over the lake enjoying the view of this wonderful sight of nature and all its gifts, taking his black mafia hat off, putting it on his face and laying down to catch a little nap

((Tell me if I'm being too GM in this post.....))
Hours later, Matt wakes up. It's sunny. He's covered in blood, but his wounds have been treated. He's surrounded by his slaughtered comrades, the blood dried in the sunlight. Nearby, you see Rayden. His body has been pinned to the floor with crucifixes, his clothes stripped open. He's covered in burns, but no stake has been driven through his heart, and his head is still attached. However, something was off. Rayden was five meters away. So why could Matt hear the quiet sizzling of his flesh? Matt could smell the blood, and it made him feel hungry. He could see details on the infirmary door, which would be out of his sight normally. Was he a vampire?

ooc: Sounds fine to me, I figured something similar would happen so that's one reason I did that, plus. While he was highly trained, he wasn't a bad as a completely impervious to pain, and I'm quite sure a normal human woulda blacked out.

IC: Groggily sitting up he looked around, his vision far more clear than it had once been, able to see every tiny little detail of just about...everything. "W-What the hell?!?" Matt exclaimed looking around swiftly. Not only was his vision better, his arm had completely healed where it was almost shattered a while ago, on top of that he felt strong, not just your average strong human strength. Like, strong enough to punch a hole through a cement block.

"No! Impossible!" He shouted to no one other than himself. Quickly standing up he looked around and saw Rayden lying on the ground, pinned to the floor with crucifixes. Relieved that he was a live he began running towards him, reaching him much faster than he had anticipated because when he stopped, he didn't quite stop. He almost skidded into the wall behind Rayden.

Reaching down to try and rip up the crucifixes, upon touching them, his hand burnt like hell. Snatching it away in pain he came into full realization, it all made sense, his arm being healed,
His feeling of strength, his speed, and now this. Upon feeling realizing this his hunger fully set in, he wanted blood no, he NEEDED blood and he needed it now. He racked his brain trying to figure out where the quickest source was, considering the entire village had fled except for a few people hiding out. Then it hit him, yes...the infirmary at the outpost. There were plenty of blood packs there...

Running at full speed he reached it almost instantly, dashing into the infirmary room he ripped the door off the small refrigerator housing various medical supplies, including blood packs. He snatched them out of the refrigerator, pulling the plastic cap off of one and proceeding to drink from it like a straw. He repeated this proceedure with the remaining packs until he had had enough. If he thought he felt strong earlier, hell it was nothing compared to this. This feeling, this strength, it was absolutely overwhelming to Matt.

He then thought about Rayden, and how he could possibly use his new strength to ignore the pain and remove the crucifixes. He ran back towards him, now much faster than earlier, reaching him in mere seconds. This time stopping instantly when he reached him. He grabbed a crucifix in his hand, ripping it out of the ground and throwing it off into the forest. He proceeded to do the same with the other one in Raydens other hand. Pulling it out of Rayden and the ground he threw it into the forest alongside the other one.

Suddenly, his mind now at ease from quenching his thirst, caught up to him. He had become what he was instructed to kill, what he hated. I mean sure, there are a few vampires in SOLDIER, a few of them were his friends, but only because they were also his comrades. This was different entirely. He looked up in the sky and roared in rage, "Dresden! I will kill you for this! Even if it takes years, I will find you, and ram that fucking blade through your skull! Do you hear me? You will pay!!"

Dresden watched his sireling from a nearby rooftop His blood flowed strong through the young one. He would grow to be a powerful warrior, worthy of the clan. Many of his sirelings had hated him, but human hatred knew it's bound. From experience, Dresden knew that it would abate. After a few hundred years, there was no doubt Sam would be a warrior the clan could be proud of. Hatred simply couldn't last that long. And in that time, his skills, knowledge and power would only increase. There would be phases. Dresden would have to be sure to intervene occasionally, make sure Matt had a good upbringing. He would put to the test both Matt's willingness to learn, his intelligence, and his sheer skill and power. However, if he lived......
Dresden smiled, as he moved silently, the heavy scent of blood clogging even a vampire's sense of smell. He wouldn't be noticed. The boy was too young and confused to notice him. But he'd have to act with caution, if he wanted to influence the boy's life with the subtelty he intended. He speculated on this, as he walked through the blood-streaked alleyways of the desserted town. Outside, one of his OldBloods was waiting.
"Drakul, the SOLDIER have been eliminated, but some have fled to a fortress to the south." The OldBlood spoke in almost military tones, a reminiscent of his training, all those years ago. Dresden hadn't personally sired this one, but he was a vampire of good standing. For now, he served as a General. "The fortress is the bastion of their strength. They will rally to it. My Sireling will head towards it, and lead them. It is in his blood. There will be distrust, but they will follow." Dresden grinned, revealing his long teeth, said to be capable of ripping tanks to pieces. "And then, when they are truly his, we shall slaughter them all."

(Templar (Maria) assuming position in the said Bastion by thewizardguy)

There was a sudden influx of SOLDIERs pouring into the fortress like boats arriving by ports as they sought asylum. The entire facility was crowded with men and women of supposedly trained vampire hunters. This influx inflicted difficulties in the near instant that the refugees stepped in. Those inflicted with wounds and injuries did not took their time to seek out help into the medical wing. They felt the stress and the limited supply of the medical wing began to become overspent.

"Reports say it was an attack. Awfully powerful vampire was leading them I heard."
"My mate made it out, said somethin' about a teethy one."

The chatter was strange to the Templar as she strolled past the SOLDIER barracks. Teethy vampire was sighted during the attack on the forward base in the north. Maria took her ears off the mumbling SOLDIERs while the clacking of her heels met the ascending stairs towards the command post. The Field Marshal had his wrinkled fingers and weary eyes over papers and reports about the assault of 'Point Kilo' as they called them-- The northern forward base. By the front of the desk, littered with files, reports, spent cartridges and inkless pens she stood frigidly as though it was normal. "Some of them men are MIA." The Field Marshall's unconcerned and monotonic voice said to a lower rank officer.

"That or they went AWOL." Maria said it as if she had slipped her tongue. The Field Marshall looked up to the raven as though he had just seen a phantom ghost. Field Marshall Rueben was surprisingly clean-shaven for somebody of his status.

"They're sworn vampire hunters, Templar Maria. They've broken their oath if they did went AWOL. My guess is they're decoying themselves to let the others escape." It was an obvious and horrifying deception. You could see it by the way he read the papers. He didn't care if they were MIA, KIA or AWOL. They were expendable. "I'll send a search party for them if we have men to spare." Maria could only roll her eyes away.

"You've seen the reports. What of this 'powerful teethy vampire'?" The sound of a page flickering could be heard as FM Rueben looked over the papers again.

"A pile of bullshit. They fucked up and made a story from it. That'll teach them to follow the rules. Now my base is crawling with these bunch of failures, sapping my supplies." Maria could almost guess what his next move would be. Send those crippled men and women of SOLDIER as the searching party. An indirect way of condemning troops to the death penalty.

Point Kilo was kilometres away from this settlement, Maria began to have vibes inside of her that the attacks would occur again. FM Rueben wouldn't be interested to hear about ill-feelings. Maria immediately displaced herself from the command post and back to the barracks. The chatter remained the same, teethy vampire-- deaths or return of comrades. It looked as though the SOLDIERs were riled up for a fight after their stories.

Slowly, but not entirely, calming down from his rage against Dresden, Matt began to think about the base Johnathan had told him about before..somewhere in the woods hidden amongst the denser trees. That's where he would go, if any SOLDIER were still alive here, they would have re-grouped there. He was still SOLDIER vampire or not. He stood up, and began sprinting towards the base. If the vampires knew where it was, then SOLDIER would need help, and fast.

He reached the base rather quickly with his heightened speed and senses. Lightning was standing guard, more alert than ever due to the recent slaughter. She noticed a blur stop right in front of the base, a vampire she thought to herself. Taking aim with her Gundam she noticed something, he bared the SOLDIER rank insignia on his jackets shoulder. "Alright Vamp, you got exactly 10 seconds to explain how you got that jacket before you lose your head!" She yelled out to Matt.

Matt looked up at the woman, a bit stunned. She had noticed, and she also thought this jacket was stolen. "Don't shoot! I am with SOLDIER the names Matt, I was one of the few who survived the attack. I passed out in the village soon afterward and when I woke up I was turned, all I know its hell back there the village is deserted." He replied to her. She paused and thought about it for a few seconds, if he was telling the truth and she killed him she would have killed one of the only people that could give detailed information should another group of soldier arrive, on the other hand if he was lying even more people would die before they could him.

"Damnit.." She said under her breath. She lowered the Gundam and said "For your sake vamp, you better hope you aren't lying, or I will personally cut your head off and mount it to a stake outside as a warning. Get your ass inside." Matt then proceeded to walk inside, unsure how many had survived the attack.

Maria strolled by the security officer's office to alert them of a possible impending danger. Point Kilo was attacked and this stronghold wasn't far from it. Those cunning vampires would've spotted and began preparing an attack to the stronghold already. Extreme caution must be exercised. "Would they even listen to an advice? Or are they just as stubborn as Rueben?" She thought to herself.

"Ma'am, this is a--" The door warden was interrupted by the shoving of Maria's ID. Maria's quick thrust would've directly pierced into the poor warden's heart, but being aware of who is an ally and who is an enemy made her stop. The door warden turned to look behind him surprised before reading her ID. His face seemed to understood who Maria was.

The security officer clearly was having a good time relaxing whilst his paychecks were continuing to roll. He had a cup of hot black coffee in his hand and a set of screens in front of him that spied across all sectors of the stronghold-- and he has eyes enough to see them as one. The soldier slurped his brewing coffee to break the initial silence. "Can I help you?" While he didn't say them in a very enthused tone at least he had bigger ears to listen.

Maria bent her body down towards the desk looking towards the security officer's eyes directly in a standoff. Neither eyes blinked nor shake. She pulled her face away and stood up with her arms crossed under her chest, hoping he would understood her message to pay attention. "How many people came in today?" Maria was practically interrogating him. The officer however, only sipped to coffee.

"Not many. About five of them arrived. Mostly uninjured, but they were sent to the med-bay anyway for treatment. Arrived a while ago." The sound of the thudding cup on the table made the security officer turn away to his screen. "There they are. Still in the med bay, although less than it was before." He pointed his finger towards one monitor before pointing to two others. "I believe you're not here to just 'pay them a visit' are you?" Maria eyed the officer in front of him, like he would notice it anyway.

She brushed her hair with her hand. "No, I just need to find a reason why the Field Marshall becoming worked up over around five people. But what I did come for is..." Upon hearing those last few sentences, the security officer turned his chair around to face Maria. "Keep your men on high alert... The forward base isn't that far off from here. Make sure that you have men ready to sound the alarm or to alert somebody to sound the alarm. If this stronghold falls, I don't think we have much to live for." The look of the officer's tanned complexion wasn't what she had hoped. His fingers immediately wrapped around the mug's ear again.

"Sure. I'll tell them is that all?" The response made her angry and frustrated. She turned her back and exited his office as he himself turned back to the screens where he stared at one particular screen. "Hey! Somebody's arrived by the entrance!" Hearing the statement, Maria began to hurry for her ID and the entrance.

A survivor perhaps? Maybe a spy? Was that guy a vampire? The security officer only yelled out somebody was by the gate. When she arrived by the entrance, the gates were already closed. She had no idea who the newcomer was but from the looks of it, that guy must either be injured in some ways-- unless he indeed is a vampire. A man was standing directly in front of the gate and he confused and lost. He was wearing a standard SOLDIER uniform and it was well tattered. He survived the attack. That warrants some suspicion, although he would provide an accurate intel on what kind of vampires attacked Point Kilo. "You there, did you just arrived here?" Maria said loudly as she pointed towards the man (Matt).

Turning towards the woman who had shouted at him he replied "Yes I did, and who exactly are you? If you don't mind I've been through hell and back and survived. I would at least like a ten minute nap before having someone yell at me..again..". Highly pissed and tired, Matt was in no mood for people shouting at him, let alone questions. "Anymore questions? I would prefer you to not shout at me. I can hear you just fine.." Matt told her.

The man turned-- His face grim and definitely did not look very happy to hear a shouting stranger at his face. He looked at Maria with the eyes of a predator whose intent was to kill in cold blood. Sights like such was normal... If he was a vampire. "Yes I did, and who exactly are you? If you don't mind I've been through hell and back and survived. I would at least like a ten minute nap before having someone yell at me... Again..." Maria's palms were on her forehead in disdain. This wasn't a time to pick fights with your own allies. "Anymore questions? I would prefer you to not shout at me. I can hear you juts fine..." The man grew calmer over his last few words. Once her hand had slipped away from her face, she made sure that her attention was on him.

"I'm sorry. Templar Banehold. Maria Banehold." She remained to shake her head for several seconds until it had calmed down. "This entire attack on the forward base is drilling my head in. I'll need to speak and ask more questions to you later... After you have your nap. Although the Field Marshall wouldn't exactly be too happy about it if he heard." She made short of her humour before nonchalantly offering her help. "Do you require a guiding hand to the Med-Bay? I still got some time to wander about before I get back to business."

Hmm a Templar Matt said to himself..guess word spread pretty fast.. She seemed nervous..or was it angry? Perhaps a mixture of both.. "The Name's Matt, I used to be..well technically still am..one of the CO's of Point Kilo. Before the slaughter, that is.. Never been here though..the guy that used to run this place had told me of its location. " Matt replied " I honestly have no idea where the hell anything is here, so directions would be nice I guess, if you don't mind."

At least the change of attitude eased the tense beginning between the two. The man revealed that his name was Matt and he was one of the Commanding Officer stationed at Point Kilo. She would applaud for someone so young to be a CO, but this was not a time for celebrations or compliments. Things were sure to blow up sooner or later and Maria was anxious to see it all unfold before her. "... Never been here though, the guy that used to run this place had told me of its location." Previous guy? "I honestly have no idea where the hell anything is here, so directions would be nice I guess, if you don't mind." Well... Perhaps before granting this Matt entry, Maria should check his ID first... But...

"Was his name Rueben? Anyway... Med-Bay is this way then. Stay close to me, unless you want other SOLDIERs sniffing you up and giving you a nuisance." Maria guided her hand towards the direction of the Med-Bay and followed after it, knowing that Matt would follow about. The man's skin was pale and his eyes certainly was brightly coloured. She thought over the fact if he was a vampire... Even so, was it really a problem? There were other SOLDIERs that are vampires too serving to track and kill other vampires in exchange of their terrible fates. Loyalty was questionable... But for somebody who lived as a human working in SOLDIER after all this time?

All that thinking brought silence between Matt and Maria. Her brows were flushed down and her eyes idly looking towards a general open direction whilst other SOLDIERs people walk past. She widened her senses and leaped back into the real world as the commotion began to fill her head. Maria stopped. "We just walked past the Med-Bay." She shook her head again and turned back.

As soon as Maria arrived, a nurse came to attend to her. "Pardon me, Templar Maria... Something the matter?" Even the nurses could tell that she was feeling weary. She feels as though her own privacy was leaking out everywhere and she didn't like it.

"This man needs to rest. Could you prepare him a bed and maybe some stimulants? He's needed for questioning later." Maria kept it nice and direct for the nurse so that she wouldn't sniff around her business.

"Right away, Templar." Being a Templar always had its perks...

Two days had passed since the slaughter at Kilop Point. Dresden licked the air. No fear. Not yet. The humans in this fort were fat and timid, cattle waring for the slaughter. Dresden had wished to hold off on revealing his presence for some time longer, however, the more bloodthirsty among his followers wished for action now. If he waited much longer, he would lose half his Horde, and the losses would be quite devastating. Of course, he had visited nearby villages first. turning all those willing to accept Dresden as their lord. Most had recieved Old Blood from one of his greater followers. Dresden wished to breed the bloodlines back to their wilder origins. By diverting from the old ways vampires were becoming more stealthy. Who needed illusion or mist when one could tear the opponent to pieces?
There was a growl. It was ready. It was time for the siege to begin. Dresden smiled, as his vampires stepped from the trees, bearing large wooden crucifixes, upon which men, women, and children were lying. They were beyond the reach of most rifles, but Dresden had no doubt the humans would be too shocked by the display as he, too stepped from the darkness, setting himself before the row of screaming humans, their gags removed, as some form of orchestrator before a play. A master of a pack of wolves, grinning in his own hunger, his aura of fear and respect rippling through the assembled crowd. His voice was deep and clear, filled with sadistic glee, as he addressed the fort, easily carrying the long distance.
"Children of daylight, I come before you now. I am Dresden, and tonight, I declare war upon all those of you who declare themselves SOLDIER. Your fellows resisted. They are fools. Behold their fates, humans." As one, the younger, newer vampires stepped forward. This was to be their initiation, and, as they had not yet drunk, they bit into the legs and calves of the humans, tearing at the skin, gulping in the blood with savage hunger. Not a single man halted. The Vampire Blood was driving them to frenzy. Good, Old Blood, of a well-satisfied vampire. However, this was not to be the true display.
As one, once more, the vampires cut themselves, as they fed their own blood in return to the humans. And, as their blood mingled, the humans became still, their humanity slipping away. Then, as the ascent hit them, smoke rose from their bodies, as the crucifixes they were tied to burned them. Laughing, the vampires prodded the newly turned vampires with sticks, and threw buckets of holy water over them, careful not to get splashed themselves. The screams rang in the night, louder even than before, as pain unknown to humans filled the traitors. They hung there, and it simply did not stop. And Dresden enjoyed every second of it, howling as his vampires did, before retreating back into the night, leaving his grisly display to continue without him.
The vampires did not retreat far, however. Simply slightly deeper into the forests. They would return, the next nght, And the next. This was far from over.

"No, His name was Johnathan, actually" Matt told Maria while following her. Eventually they reached the med-bay and Maria gave the nurse instructions to prepare him a bed. Matt thanked Maria and the nurse and proceeded to follow said nurse to his cot. Eventually they reached it, having to step around other medical personnel aiding other people. He laid his gear down beside his cot and took off his boots placing them beside the gear. Laying down on the cot he stared at the ceiling for a while, as tired as he was sleep didn't seem to come. This whole event proved too stressful, his mind racing with thoughts about what had happened, about what he had become.

If anyone from Point Kilo that was part of the main group stationed there had survived and arrived here, what would they think of him? More so than that, what if he snapped and went ballistic? Closing his eyes trying to force himself into unconsciousness he eventually drifted off to sleep.

Lightning heard it, the sound of hundreds, possibly thousands of vampires howling in the distance. She took aim with her weapon looking through the sights, unable to see anything yet. Eventually she saw it, a horrific sight, vampires carrying humans attached to crucifixes. They were just out of range of her Gundam so she was unable to do anything. What appeared to be their leader was shouting warnings, declaring war on SOLDIER. After which, the vampires proceeded to drink from the captured humans. What followed was far worse, the vampires began turning the humans, and when they turned they started burning from the crucifixes.

The vampires poured buckets of holy water on the vampires that moments ago were human. After which all of the fled, off into the night. Light cursed under her breath and ran through the door leading to stairs back down into the main portion of the fort. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs she ran to the security room shoving the guard out of the way and got on the intercom: "Attention! All personnel! The vampires have found us! They have declared war on the entirety of SOLDIER! I believe it is the same group that destroyed Point Kilo! If anyone that is alive has any means of communication to the Field Marshall we need back up and we need it now!"

Matt, rudely awoken by the loud voice over the intercom shot up in his cot. Easily recognizing the voice from earlier, it was the woman guarding the entrance. Not only that, she was speaking about HIM...Dresden...the one who had brought this upon him.. He quickly shoved his feet into his boots and grabbed his gear. Standing up he was all but snarling in fury. If Dresden was near, if he was planning to attack, he would make damn sure he would kill him this time. The nurse tried to tell him he should rest but he wasn't in the mood to listen.
