The last part with Crashing was rather effective - I could see the the darkness in his eyes and the gravitas when he spoke those words. It captured a force of nature ready to strike. Nice :) Yeah, I tossed in a few Mythos shout outs in the previous posts myself. I also enjoyed the newest entry, reminding me of walking through an ancient library. very cool :D

Thanks. :) I've been working on almosphere lately.

Eyo guys, I have a few questions for some of you.

Grimdark: What exactly do you aim to do? Laying waste to a few of the outer coastal cities and such is okay, but I would advice against going against Canterlot itself or any other major establishments simply because it will change a lot, and if any major change were to be made it should be arranged between all of us, or at the Dawn and I. Eitherway, I'm ot saying you can't continue what you're doing, only that I'd like for you to throw a word my way if you intend to do something really bi.

Eldritch: That room of Scalpel's, what exactly is it? I get the feeling that it's a temporal pocket of sorts, but a very, very big one, and in case it is I'd like for you to remember what Scalpel is only a mortal, and there's a limit to how powerful he is. A temporal pocket of that size seems... a bit much. In case it's just a normal room which requires a magical key (of sorts) to enter, then just ignore this.

Its a normal room, with a lot of magical countermeasures, a complicated series of locks, and a shit ton of metal. The reason its so big is that it basically consists of the innards of the House and stretches to the roof. If it was the reference to it "disappearing" thats more to do with Scalpel knowing exactly how to disassemble it in an extremely fast fashion and get the hell out of there within a limited period of time, It really helps that he now has a lot of helpers around him these days.

Poor Lens - her family values science, but has problems trying to figure out romance. :p Actually like many of the Scholars, she doesn't do so well with Romance. Charter and Vast are pretty good at that because their mother was a pirate. They may not have mares at every port, but at least they know how to keep their cool.

Also, I'm sort of surprised that Scalpel didn't ask or wonder why Director Prancer is so willing to trade so fast.

I think the assumption he has is that the Director is distinctly impatient to get his hooves on it, given he has been waiting to get it for many years, still it doesn't mean he isn't partly suspicious of Prancers interest in it, and it doesn't mean he won't be watching Prancers actions closely now he knows about it.

Besides, Prancer will no doubt be wondering what the Dok wants with a book of meaningless gibberish as well.

Well I felt bad about the first time I did it and I was all complacent! Anyway, I am going to be posting a lot more given I have to interact with both you and Grim soon! :P

Anyway, soon we'll be seeing a new creation of Scalpels, and doubtless it will be quite deliciously creepy.

Speaking of interacting... This doesn't have a place in this OOC, I know, but you still up for Shifting Worlds? I've lost contact with ~half the players, and those I do have contact with... I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but it's the "I'll post soon" and then radio silence from then on :/

I dunno, I think I'll still try and post, but I think the setting is the main problem for me, some standard forest with nothing to really set us up with asides from survival is not exactly inspiring, I noted that down a while back. Honestly it may be a good idea to delete it and restart again with some new players, after all In Nomine took three or four attempts until it weedled away all those half interested players and left us with our core group. But that's just a suggestion.

I have been thinking of that... would also give me a chance to have everything cleared out, rather than forget to write things down like it happened a few times this time around... Still, I don't know exactly how I'd change the setting. I don't want it to just be on Earth and such. That'd be boring and something everyone could do <.<

I have an idea for what I could do, but... it would require quite a bit of moderation from my side of things, and I'm lazy in that regards xD But it would give people a bunch of things to do, and chose from.

Ummm ok. I was planning on full out war on MaS considering their complete lack of respect for another's freedom. How do I go about this ?

Very carefully. To begin with, at least. Twilight is a freakishly powerful unicorn, in possession of the Element of Magic, a fragment of Harmony's body so there's a chance that she might very well be able to kill Crashing if he is too reckless. I'll think on it and get back to you. And if I don't, then just poke me a bit.

Frankly Twilights in a better position than you anyway, all but a few of her troops are hardened veterans of the various campaigns against the other factions, she has the greatest number of spell casters in all of Equestria and the aptitude to pull of considerably powerful feats of magic, as well as numerous generals who are likely highly skilled at warfare. Given you decided to land on M&S territory and not immediately attack with overwhelming force and surprise, they are likely now prepared for you, and your armies are largely untested and unskilled due to more than a millennium of peace and tranquility under the sea, don't prepare this properly and you'll get massacred.

Even so, Crashing is a god and he commands insane amounts of power. Untested and outnumbered they might be, but I still think that they stand at a 50:50 in the war. It all depends on who emerges victorious: Twilight or Crashing?

To put it bluntly, Crashing may be a god, but that means bugger all when the force of an army will be battering him like crap. The greatest advantage the sea horde has is Crashing and the Leviathans, but Crashing can only be in one place at a time, and the Leviathans are so grotesquely large that they can be easily hit by artillery and those moving statues M&S has and killed.

As for the horde itself, it is immediately put at a disadvantage by unfamiliar terrain (they haven't stepped on land in years doubtlessly), inexperience, an archaic understanding of war itself compared to the clear and definite modern understanding moon and star has, but most of all their own weaponry. Thanks to living in the ocean, they will have no ranged combat units, because if you hadn't noticed bows don't work under water and they would have no way to practice archery in the ocean, this wouldn't be so bad if they were like the Stormwing and could fly, but they can't, and so they consist of a lumbering horde dependent on melee combat against a foe with ranged superiority. Technologically they are not on the save level of war Technology as M&S either, so thats another issue they will face, and tactically they will be terrible due to being at peace for so long. In an ocean war they stand to win that conflict, but on a land war they will be completely overwhelmed, the only way they could win is if they accumulate in one horde behind Crashing and stick together, but thats just asking to be ambushed and anihiliated, furthermore, the more his forces move inland the more likely their supply lines are to be cut off, starvation is just as useful a tool as any in war.

Furthermore, and most definitely so, Moon and Star are prepared for them, Clashing has been causing a big stir up, and due to his attacks on the slave pens next to Canterlot the army will have been likely pulled back in response to it and placed on high alert. Now they have landed with a fuck huge beastie and any local farmer or fisherpony could have spotted them camping nicely where they are and reported it to the authorities.

In other words, if we took this realistically, they would be completely fucked.
