"Well met, Eramaa. Have you taken any champions yet to aid your cause?" Arcturius stood quietly, once more invisible to the human world. "The night is yet young, and mortals are flooding to the altar. Surely some are still following the ancient ways." A pause. "Have you seen your brother, by any chance? He skipped out on our last game of chess."

"Tevan is doing as he always is Arcturius, Playing with girls and flowers"
Erämaa sank down to kneel, leaning on his spear
"see this girl? She was to be an offering to us, so I told the man to hunt her.
You will not believe the madness of this mortal! Thinking it would please me somehow, he starts chasing her.. on hands and knees!
Fool..
But this girl.. she interests me. She fled, with wit and agility. All she has to do is prove she can also fight, not even win, and I will bring her to my hunting grounds to make her mine."
Erämaa looked at Arcturius
"If she is worthy, I might even make her one of my brides one day, it has been long since I had sons on this world.
Did you know she is a professional birther?"

Something black shot through the tent flaps'Well done little pray.' the raven said upon the panting girl.'He likes the way you think, and act'Erä wondered if the silly man would find her, that would prove interesting. She fled like a true creature of the forest floor, but when driven in a corner, would she fight?"Would you fight to survive?" Asked the raven, now with a deep voice, raw like the wolf's

"I will fight to survive. I am very clever." Jade told the raven. She didnt know why she was talking to it other then it was taking to her. She looked around the tent. There wasnt alot that she could use as a weapon. She smiled when she found a fork. She picked it up and held it tightly. "The best weapons are the ones that your enemy doesn't expect." She said. She wasnt a fighter really. She had stopped fighting years ago. But now she had a chance and a possible reason to do so she was going to do her best.

John bows. "A knife milady? Sure I carry one. It's not very large, but the perfect size cut open a sack or purse. I don’t fight very often and if I have to attack someone I rather do it form the shadows. Because the strongest blade, is a blade you don't see coming. However if I do have to fight I am quite confident. As a thief I learned not only to be strong, but also to be cautious and fast.”John was a bit confused by the question.“Why do you ask milady?”

Roxy chuckled. She liked the little human very much. He was definitely someone she could work with. "You are very right. The best blade is the one your enemy doesn't see coming." She walked around him nodded thoughtfully. "I think you will do for my champion. I need someone who isn't aftaid of the shadows. I asked if you know how to use a knife because I LOVE knives. My champion will be expected to carry one. Would you be interested in being my champion?"

Haedorman laughed "I apologise my dear man I did not mean to frighten you. But from past experience mortals... Of your age seem to ethier want it one way or the other and trust me Ive had ALOT of experience with your race most entertaining you all are" Haedorman looked as a flower formed in the flames and he smiled gently "Oh yes this is my work indeed! Took many of your mortal years to form it did, myes a true work of art and all. But please, please! Do touch it, feel its soft petals at your touch... Or take a petal for yourself if you wish it is of no concern to me" After intense study of the flower wondering who of the gods created it Haedorman yawned and looked back at the old man "As for me you can call me Haedorman, a name im sure you heard many tales about considering all the exploits ive been on"

Jormen hesitated. If the fat man truly was Haedorman, then temptation and damnation wouldn’t be far way. The Great Temptator, god of pleasure and hedonism. Jormen had to be cautious.

But then again, he was old. Maybe it was time for one last glorious story?

“Well then, Lord of Sinners, I am most grateful with your appearance. That a great divine like yourself would honor us with your presence.”
Jormen turned away from Haedorman, facing bystanders. He put his hands to his mouth and shouted.
“Come all, Com all. A great divine is here, Haedorman is attending our feast!”
Groups of people stormed to the pyre, surrounding Jormen and Haedorman. Some praised him, some cursed him and some were just disappointed to see a simple fat man standing in the fire.

“I present you, Haedorman, Lord of Sinners! He just created this beautiful rose to honor our feast!”
The crowd cheered, only to be suddenly interrupted by Jormen. “OR DID HE!?”

Jormen waited until the crowd was silent again. “If you did create this rose, great Haedorman, then it would be no effort to create another? Would you tempt our senses with dozen more?”
Jormen’s hand reached out to the rose, gently touching it’s pettles. He whispered softly: “Surely, a god of natural or cosmic wonder, would do better than a deceiver or temptator?”

'Good to hear!' the raved called, now with his own voice
'I am starting to like you!'
The raven flew at her head, folding his wings around her face, making a small cut on her cheek with his talons
'sorry..'
When the raven flew off again they were no longer in a tent.

The raven sat down on a low branch, a few meters away from Jade.
Around them a giant trees towered above the mossy ground. In the distance, the sun could be seen on some sort of field, but it was far away.
'I am sorry about the cut, but you won't feel that for long'
On jade's face, the small gash started to close and with a pricking sensation, it was gone, as if it had never been there.
'That is one of the advantages to being His' the raven told her proudly.
'Although you aren't really His yet of course'
There was some concern in the raven's voice now

At the moment Jormen touched the rose a rush of power went through his body. For a second he could sense all plant life in the city. Then it settled down inside his chest. He felt just a little stronger than he did before. But there was something else. He suddenly knew that when in danger, he could use this power to protect his life. A one time wonder, but after that the power would fade away.

Jade wander who the God was the raven was telling her about. She didnt ask though. She didnt want to offend the God. She had never paid much attention to the various Gods and Goddesses. There were simply too many and she didnt have the time to dedicate to learning about them. "I suppose I am not one yet. But I would like to be."she looked around studying the place the raven had taken her. The God of the hunt maybe? Or maybe the God of the forest? But why would they be interested in her?

Lyah silently walked the stairs and up to the pyre.
She held the scarf tightly in her hands as she looked upon it for the last time.
This was her last memento. With this she was alone.
Without a word she tossed it into the fire. The gods knew her mind better than she could express them.
Lyah looked up, faithful and waiting.

“A prostitute, you mean.” The Builder, Laslo, appeared besides Eräma and Arcturius. Donned in red robes, wielding a stone builders hammer, two clear eyes pierced from under his bushy eyebrows. He stroked his brown beard before continuing.

“Good day to both of you, gentlemen. I see all of us are looking for a champion.”
Laslo looked to the other gods, playing with their mortals, searching for the right one to make their champion
“Arcturius, you have chosen two champions I see. And you, Eräma, the prostitute has potential, even though she comes from bad stock.”

Laslo pondered. “I propose a trade, a deal. My brothers and I a searching for a new mortal to raise to sainthood. Dark times are coming, my brother Ingmar saw it in the stars. Trouble is amongst us.” Laslo pointed to the different dark deities, tempting mortals to hedonism or murder.

“We want allies. All of us, savage or not, have a sense of honor, virtue or justice. Let us be united, so that we can protect and safeguard this world from evil.”
In Laslo’s hands there appeared two objects. One was a copper hunting horn, the other was a steel round shield with the symbol of Arcturius.
“Let us bless your champions, so that in return you’ll bless ours. Let us be united by our champions.”

A horn was heard, echoing through the forest. From behind a tree, a large dog emerged, followed by another, and a grey wolf, and a giant bear!
20 creatures walked towards Jade, and in their midst, walked Erä, leaning on his spear with every step.
He wore nothing over his bronzed leather skin. The empty eyes of a stag's skull looked at Jade.

'Fear not' Said the dog
'For you have been chosen by Erä, lord of the Hunt' Added the bear
'He is here to test you' finished the wolf.

'He chose you, because you are a survivor' whispered the raven in awe.
'The ways of the primal world are mysterious, it is not only about the hunt it self'
The raven landed on Jade's shoulder
'Use your strengths, YOUR strengths to prove your worth, my dearest Jade'

Erä gestured with his spear, and a small wolf walked out from the pack, growling at Jade.
The raven flew up 'I can't help you!'
The fork in Jade's hand shivered, and when she looked down she saw she was holding a small, bone trident.

Arcturius thought for a moment about Laslo's offer. If anyone were to best fit the mysterious aspect of the gods, it was the Triplicate. Not even the fellow pantheon knew what they were up to.

"Wonderful." Roxy patted him on the cheek. She wasnt big on interacting. She preferred to be alone. Especially since... No it was better not to think of that. Especially today. She unreaveled the shadows around John so that he was once again in the middle of the festival. She could not wait to see what he would do with the power she had given him. "Enjoy the festival champion. I will call you when I have a task that needs to be done."

Quintus floated through the crowds, looking for someone, or more importantly something of interest. He always took time to check out the villagers festival, mostly because he liked to see what they had tried to invent or create. Often time it was something he had already thought of ages ago, however it was enjoyable to see someone else gain the same idea he had. He would also appear to a select person and give them pointers on how to improve their invention. He rarely chose a champion. In fact, the last time he had it was some man hundreds of years ago, he had already forgotten the mans name. Dadylus or something? The most he remembered of the man was that he was a genius inventor, one of the best he had ever seen. In fact, the man had even came up with something that he, the god of imagination, hadn't. That was more than enough to make the man his champion.

He had to laugh when one of the humans thought of him at the rose thing. Sure building things and giving them life was his thing, but it would have been way better then just a rose. He'd probably have created an intelligent rose, that spoke and could interact with people. And why not make it singing? That sounded interesting. Hmm ... he'd have to work on creating intelligent, singing roses when he got back to his workshop. Quintus became so busy thinking about the idea of the roses, that he momentarily started to become visible to the humans. He was often so absorbed by daydreams that he was considered quite clumsy. One of the main reasons that he almost never engaged in any kind of combat.

After the cloth had been devoured by the flames, a large, black, bulky shadow shuffled out afterwards. The creature had a pair of horns on it's head, and no other feature could be seen apart from it's shockingly blue eyes. "A goddess has chosen thou. She accepts your sacrifice greatly and believes you to be her champion. Will you accept this opportunity?" The spirit asked in a raspy voice, patiently waiting for a reply.

C.C finished her beer and walked through the crowd not paying attention when she accdientaly bumped a huge fat man, the man did not move at all but C.C rebounded and fell over a pile of objects that where behind her breaking them all, everyone went silent.
C.C slowly stood up rubbing her butt and kicked the objects several times breaking them even more not knowing they were offerings.

the wraith went up to the doors of the citadel, then turned to Misha, "The Master waits for you inside" with that the doors opened and pyres leading up to a throne burst into green flames

And there he stood, the God of Death and Fear, Darko Despair "Enter Mortal" he spoke

a bunch of ghouls ran past Misha with a screaming Mortal soul in their claws and she begged and pleaded for Misha to save her
