Rielle Rouge stopped running to bend over and catch her breath. Running around an airship, dodging other students, avoiding a guy who liked her... it was all too much for the girl who wanted to do nothing but enjoy the fact that she was actually on her way to Beacon Academy. It was almost too good to be true, and instead of taking it all in like she wanted, she was being chased by her admirer of two years. Why or why did he have to follow her to Beacon!?

"Dammit. I knew I should have just flown here." she said, standing to her full, non intimidating height of 4'9. Rielle looked around her, no sign of the Rat Faunus boy anywhere. That was a good thing. Ignoring the stares of a few others, she fixed her hood, pulling it over her head and fixing her hair, before adjusting her 'Boomerbow' (as she likes to call it) Seraphine. She had it strapped across her back, one end hook curved above her left shoulder, the other around her right calf, and it would occasionally irritate her wings that were folded comfortably beneath her red hood. It had been far too long since she had a good long flight, and after going a few hours without a stretch, they were starting to hurt just a little. Maybe that was why she had such low tolerance for her admirer today. The ache in her wings was an irritation to her... as was he. She gave a small sigh and began to roam around the flying ship after deeming the coast clear. She ignored the obvious fact that many of the other students looked taller and cooler than her. She was dressed in a simple long sleeve white shirt with jewels going down the arm, her usual red combat skirt, her red hood, her favorite pair of boots, and a pendant necklace from her parents with a jewel that matched her sky blue eyes. While her light clothing didn't seem too flashy like many others, they served their purpose of keeping her tiny, innocent body protected from that rat-

"Found you.~" she heard a whisper in her ear before she wheeled around, only to see her admirer behind her.

"Oh will you just give it a rest already? I told you I can't date someone who doesn't know anything about me. For all you know, i'm not your type." she said with a pout, cross of her arms, and a light 'hmpf' as she fast walked away from him. He followed behind her and she could feel his eyes on her back as she tried to weave through other students and lose him. The sneaky bastard stayed on her tail the whole time, and once she reached the casual looking bar, she turned back around to face him. "Hey! I demand you stop following me this instant!" she said with a stomp of her foot. "Aw, come on. You'd for sure be my type. I mean, I date girls like you all the time." he said with a wink. She narrowed her eyes at him. That last line had started to wear on her patience, and though she was keeping her anger under control, she was on her last thread of tolerance.

"Yeah and I eat Rat's like you all the time for dinner." she said

"See? This is why I like you. Even though your small, your personality is big. We could get along nicely." he said. She had no response for him and so he reached forward and pulled her in for a hug. By this point there were a few others staring out of bored curiosity, and Rielle felt her face getting hot. She was literally burning up with rage and embarassment. Suddenly her chin was lifted, and she saw the boys head swooping down, and she didn't even think. She reacted. She brought her left hand up in a wide arch, aiming for his face and closed her eyes. She didn't notice that her hand glowed a bright read as she did, and as soon as she felt skin connect with skin, a loud explosion was heard. She screamed something that was lost in the noise, and the blast blew at her clothes a bit. When she opened her eyes, for a moment, she thought that she had been the cause of it. She had looked around, wondering if t had been her, only to see it had happened too far away for her to really have been affected by it. Rielle had wanted to run over and see if everyone was okay, but she still had something to deal with.

Turning back to the Rat Faunus, she pointed to him, not caring that he had an angry red mark on his cheek in the shape of her hand. "You! Don't ever try something like that again or next time I will torch you where you stand!" she shouted, pushing past him. Though her anger had subsided since she took it out on him, her embarrassment still lingered, and she ran off in a different direction, pushing past a few people on her way out. She didnt stop until she made it to one of the balconies on the ship. Rielle hopped up and crouched onto the railing, intending to jump and just fly the rest of the way to Beacon... but the thought of her cramping wings not being able to support her was enough to make her hesitate. Slowly, she would calm down and close her eyes, allowing the breeze to lift away all her discomforts.

Huh, was his face really that forgettable? Arching an eyebrow at Eurwen’s inability to recognize who he was until a few moments later, Ashart smiled in a defeated little way. He’d been telling her to call him by his full name or his last name for quite some time, but it seems that the rabbit faunus never got past calling him ‘Ash’. At this point, it was probably a losing battle, so he didn’t bother correcting her once more.

Well, he’ll get his revenge easily enough.

With a teasing smile on his face, he asked, “Oh, I thought you would have graduated with a scholarship or two under your belt. Or were you going to Beacon with hopes of avoiding people who’d recognize you after that incident during spring?” It WAS quite a spectacle, after all, with the whole rabbit-mating-season-PMS-mode that had sent Eurwen on a rampage through the hallways. The amount of lawsuits that had to be peacefully settled, and the amount of romantic misunderstandings that had to be smoothed over was worth it for all the situational comedy that Ashart had been privileged to witness.

Retrospectively, he really only bought that drink in the spur of the moment, but it wasn’t too bad. Being the friend of Eurwen came with being dragged along to ‘socially’ drink, after all, so it wasn’t like he’d be puking out his guts anytime soon. And though he should be adhering to the lessons of his parents and constantly keep track of his surroundings…well, he trusted that Beacon had measures in place to ensure that nothing stupid happened.

Then, a dust explosion occurred on the other end of the bar, and he avoided injury only due to the timely intervention of Eurwen’s Semblance.

The Chimp Faunus blinked, rested one hand on his Prefix Cide, winced at the sight of the partially destroyed bar, dropped his jaw at how ridiculously well-built the red-headed bartender was, shook his head at the perpetrator of the explosion, and then turned back to face Eurwen.

“Thanks for that. Guess you didn’t have your earmuffs on for that explosion?”

Looked like Fir was caught in the sooty aftermath of the explosion as well. He took the unused towel that the Rabbit Faunus had handed to him, tossed it over to the daughter of the Juneau family, and then remarked, “Pretty bad timing on your part, Fir.”

KK's eyes glittered as she watched the armored figure walk away with only a few roboty-words. "'Just... a suit?'" She muttered to herself in wonderment before a rather impish smirk spread across her lips. Pulling back the light blue sleeve of her blouse, she revealed the small personal computer attached to her wrist; the size of a large wristwatch; and quickly pressed a few buttons on the holo-panel until a small red dot indicated she was recording. "Programmed to believe he was human, the robot could never understand why he felt so different from those around him... yet the complex coding of his emotions left him destined to search for that which all true humans long for... love!" Finishing the dictation of her upcoming romance short-story with a flourish, KK's mind was awash with the exciting possibilities.

It was at that moment an explosion echoed through the room, causing more than a few students to scream in panic while a few even fell to the floor. Kaesey was rather unfazed as her grey cloak was ruffled about her, and simply turned her icy blue eyes to the multicolored plume of smoke that was lingering around what had once been the bar. Her jovial expression quickly melted into one of annoyance and, after slinging Breakr over he shoulder, she gracefully weaved her tiny form through the crowd of gawkers until she was close enough to step onto an unbroken chair and survey the scene. A quick scan of the debris spread revealed the point of the explosion and intuiting the size and force of the explosion she determined that a particular wolf-Faunus had been the cause; his clothes were still smoking. She sniffed the air, taking in the pungent scent of smoke and ash and also the unique hints of each dust. "Two... no, three primary elements!?" KK 'tsk'ed as she jumped down to the Faunus boy's side, her booted feet touching down lightly before she extended a hand to help him up.

"You know, you really shouldn't mix two, let alone THREE primary elements without some sort of neutralizing solution. You're lucky what little you had wasn't very pure, or else..." Bringing her other hand up she pantomimed the airship falling from the sky and exploding, complete with over-exaggerated sound effects. "As much as I like cool colorful explosions, even my bomb-maker's cloak wouldn't do much if we ran into the ground at a jillion miles per hour..."

Press put aside his thoughts for his creations and lifted his head to look at the other students in the ship, Faunus and Human alike. He could have sworn he saw someone flick her tongue at him, but perhaps that was just his imagination. He moved from his spot near the window and began walking around the ship. There were plenty of rather interesting bits of gossip and events to observe, from the girl staring at the armored guy in awe, to seeing someone get drenched in water, to someone getting slapped, and more. As he made his way to the bar, he thought about getting a drink, wondering which one he should get. He decided on a simple glass of water and headed over.

As he walked, he noticed someone that was mixing a variety of random dust. Press knew from experience that that was never a good thing. He made a split-second decision to back off quickly before the mixture exploded, destroying a good portion of the bar, all of the drinks on the counter, and even the bartender's shirt. Others there were also covered in soot, which was unsurprising. Press was fortunately relatively unscathed, and he sighed and cautiously walked over to the boy who had created the explosion, trying to wave away the smoke, and extended his right arm to lift him back up. "Hey, you idiot," Press said to him in a slightly disapproving tone. "Don't ever do that again."

Whu? It wasn't exactly the most original reaction to an explosion, but considering the plane had just shaken, he'd heard screaming surprisingly close, and someone had just barreled into him for protection and safekeeping he reasoned it could very well be comparable to a shakesperean sonnet. Gazing at the red-haired girl he didn't honestly know how to respond. "Th..." He began, before she let go of him, dropping low and covering her head with her hands.

Rolling his carnation colored eyes the man from Mistral cleared his throat before launching into yet another minor tirade; "Calm yourself, miss... uh... Calm yourself, miss." He repeated the sentence a bit more resolutely the second time, cutting out the odd pause at the end where he had intended to put her name until he realized he still didn't know it.

"The plane isn't going down. With an explosion big enough to rock the plane like that we'd be dropping already if it had hit something vital. And if it had pierced the cabin we'd be experiencing the difference in air pressure and either be losing breath or find ourselves sucked outside the plane by now." It was a bit rude the way he said it, but at this point he was failing introductions so badly he reasoned it didn't really matter. She hadn't gotten rid of him yet, after all, despite his manner.

Noting how worried she was he sighed lightly, kneeling beside her and slowly resting a hand on her shoulder. "Slower breaths or you'll make yourself lightheaded." He knew from experience. Pondering over how best to proceed he glanced in the direction the explosion had come from. There was no onslaught of panicked screaming, or hushed whispers of distress meaning they were likely fine, but he didn't know if that would be good enough for the girl currently freaking out.

"Look; if it'll help, I can go check things out for you...?" His tone while offering to do so was lighter, more reasonable, and even as he said it he began to take steps forwards, his hand still on her shoulder as he passed. Honestly he was quite interested in just what had happened. Already he was concocting elaborate daydreams about the ships' crew fending off sky-pirates, or the explosion being the shockwave of himself time-traveling back to this moment to help him, or something that would be viewed as equally ludicrous.

Compassion:

Gen stood there idly as students from all around the ship came to see the spectacle. After all, realizing your aircraft had almost been blown up by a pseudo-terrorist wasn’t exactly a commodity. Either than the leader of the anti-bar rebellion and himself, everybody seemed to have been left unharmed. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as he listened to the perpetual comments flung at Lupus. The amount of disapproval the boy was receiving could only be an omen for his future days at the academy, though his classmates making such a fuss out of it soon began to bug him. He was literally sitting next to Lupus when he mixed the vials of primary dust, meaning he had a front row seat to the explosion, in high definition. Though rather than becoming hooked to what should have been anger, Gen could feel slight pity and guilt that he hadn’t stopped the teen beforehand. He managed a smile within the crowd of frowns and placed a hand on his shoulder, “Though it seems bad, you may have the potential for mixing dust. Just try to do it in a more secure location next time, alright?” Hio looked himself over, patting off any impurities which had managed to make their way past his cloth shield. “Oh, and no need to cover the hoodie… I believe you already have enough on your plate.” He said, motioning the muscular bartender, who was probably on the verge of strangling somebody between his forearm and bicep. In all honesty, with the way Lupus thought, Gen wouldn’t have been surprised if he attempted such an experiment in the engine room. “What’s done is done, don’t beat yourself up too much about it.” A hand sudden grasped onto his shoulder, causing him glanced back to his left.

”What the hell, C? This guy almost blew you up! Hell, he almost killed everybody on this ship! I don’t want that guy potentially passing on his genes some day! His spawn could continue with his legacy of setting off dust-based explosion at bars. Who knows, maybe his child will be even more blind and try it out on school grounds, or in the teacher’s lounge; hell, maybe even a baby shower!”

All Gen had in response for Aggressor’s rant was the raise of an eyebrow. Gen problaby should have been mad- no, furious at the student, but it simply wasn’t in his nature. This sort of attitude he gives to people is why his personae dubbed him Compassion in the first place. As he was about to speak up, the persona continued on with his glorious speech, ”...I’m glad everybody here doesn’t have to hear you.” He thought, leaning slightly to the side as the persona balled up his first and threw a punch his way. Of course, such an act could never be completed, as it would basically be his own mind attacking itself. The fist didn’t exactly miss, it was instead moved by Gen’s intervening with its course. The teen let out a cough, as his lungs must have been congested from the event. “I’m going to head outside. I need some fresh air.” With the dream of acquiring a third caffinated beverage now shattered, he started off for the deck door, followed the pair of consultants. ”Oh, and you two. Wait for me here please. A., try not to strangle E. please.” Soon after stepping onto the open deck, a gust of wind blew his green tie into his line of sight. Gen tried to grab the flapping piece of cloth as it fell to the gusts’ whims, finally wrapping his hand around it and stuffed it into his collar.

He noticed a tint of red in the corner of his eye affixated his gaze towards it. At first, his eyes were drawn to the bladed bow slung next to her back, but then it dawned on him where she was currently standing. Gen could more accurately describe it as crouching or hunching over the edge. He couldn’t help but to dive into the mystery even more, making his way towards the railing and leaning his arms over it. “Um… You seem to have good balance. But if Mr. Lupus sets off another explosion by accident, it might shake the ship a little.” As Gen spoke, he could tell Tactician must have been going crazy within the waiting room. The persona was most likely contemplating how well the user and the bow worked together. ”Jeeze, does my hair still have soot in it?” He thought to himself as he nervously ran a hand through the strands of hair. Though he came up with barely noticeable piece of black excess, his white dress shirt was worse for show. Since it the set of attire he fancied the most, he had a plethora of hoodies of the same color scheme packed away in his luggage. After letting his mind wander for a few moments, he snapped out of the synapse and quickly spoke up, “Oh, sorry, that was a little random. Erm, name’s Gen Hio. Pleased to make your acquaintance.” The awkward introduction was almost the same as the one he gave the student earlier, except now his voice was a bit raspy from the daze of the experiment. He couldn't see the face of the girl from this angle, so he ended up staring down at the seascape. Recalling the words Exuberance said earlier, he unknowingly let them slip out, "...I wonder what clouds taste like?"

Trouble. Indigo's whole body warned him of the incoming incident as the corner of his eyes picked up on one of the students that began to mix to vials of dust together. Should he evade it or just shield himself? He wasn't entirely sure and became confused at his options as he stood up, not knowing exactly what to do. As the explosion was just about to occur he was pushed away from the student that was sitting nearby him. Boom. The ground shook for a bit due to the explosion that occurred. His thoughts were in a jumbled mess during the whole incident, he couldn't believe what he was caught up in before he even arrived. But he settled down, he had to. Otherwise worrying about the whole thing would be troublesome and that would conflict with his whole idea of avoiding as much trouble as he can. He examined his body just make sure no shrapnel pierced or damaged his clothing. After a brief examination, everything seemed to be fine just a couple spots of black here and there but nothing too noticeable. He also examined for any potential injured students, oddly two students who were quite near the explosion came out unscathed and one was completely covered in the black aftermath of the explosion.

He turned to look at the bartender who was furious at the young student, he raised his hand to intervene with the goal to at least calm the bartender down but it fell back down shortly after. "That would be trouble." He thought to himself as he sighed, it was the bartender's right to be mad, I mean who in their sane mind wouldn't be mad that someone blew something up and endangered the students around him as well as destroying a bar. The student who pushed him spoke up in a completely calm manner as if trying to settle the situation. "Wait, what is that normal?" He thought to himself as he saw the student trying to console the troublemaker. He began to worry what other kinds of students were around this place, as the student took his leave from the situation. He quickly thought to himself, looking at the big picture if the student wasn't as talented as he was there might have been a casualty on the way to the academy. Having his first day being a mourning service didn't really click fun with Indigo.

More and more people began to pour in to see what caused the little turbulence on their magical ride through the sky. People began coming up to the troublemaker to scold him, someone scolded him for not doing the procedure of mixing dust properly, another came up and expressed his dissatisfaction with the student's actions. Indigo's imagination began to run wild, maybe he'd see a robot or something on the plane as well, maybe some psycho stalker would follow him wherever he went, maybe he would meet someone or some people residing in one person. No, it couldn't be possible as he tried to shake the idea out of his mind, there is no way there are people like that in the academy. Maybe a few oddballs here and there, but there is no way there would be so much potential for such a eccentric cast among the students here. Well, little did he know, the future would prove him slightly wrong. He should have done a bit more research as to what kind of students come to beacon.

He breathed deeply and let out a huge sigh, "Trouble. Trouble. Trouble." He repeated in his mind three times. It was in his nature to try his best to avoid as much trouble as he can, if he did not have a reason to get caught up with it.

Lupus put his hand behind his head. "was just curious that's all" He said Weakly as the scoldings came flying. the bartender. seemed really really Strong. Lupus gawped for a second. at how muscly he was for a sec. he kept his mouth shut. The man was like a Ursa... oh god, try fighting one of those in a confined space. Lupus grin turned into a frown.
"i apologize for mixing the dusts Cut me some slack pleases i was just trying to see what happened" Lupus said standing up with a look of determination "Im sorry Bartender you can have this to reimburse your *cough* establishment" Lupus handed the bartender all the money he had to spend for his first year at beacon

Lupus scratched his cheek. before putting the cap back on his Silver haired head. His eyes barely looking at gen who told him he had potential he was looking at his swords intact yes but the strap that held them was broke. "Dammit now i can't pay for a new one" Lupus said quietly as he picked up Gemini which was being held together he held onto it. his fingers gripping the hilt. he held it and wanted to walk outside his lungs felt full of dust and it was making him sick, he coughed badly Clearing his lungs at he looked at the Land below sure it was a long distance to fall but he won't go splat cause of his semblance. but then the forests where full of Grimm. Lupus turned to go back inside. but noticed A girl with a red cloak. He had seen her around signal. but never talked to her because of the bully's Gen was awkwardly trying to talk with her It made lupus Grin at how bad he was at it. Lupus grin left his face. he was just as bad...*"now or never"* Lupus thought

"gen im not gonna set off another dust based explosion" Lupus said with a look of agitated anger as he leaned against the rails one hand holding it the other holding the swords. "Anyways My names Lupus Argentum" Lupus said to the girl on the rail he continued "i saw you around signal." He said before trying to look at what she was looking at. his eyes flicking to the masterful work of the bow every now and then...

KK tilted her head curiously as the wolf-faunus waved them off the more concerned students aboard the ship and then, after dumping a large sum of money on the bartender, rather impolitely made a beeline straight for the exit. "Hmm..." The small girl crossed her hands over her chest as she puzzled over this strange behavior but, after a long moment of spinning gears inside her head, she simply shrugged it off. She'd never really understood people and it was times like these that reinforced that problem. Skipping over to what was left of the bar, her long blonde braid bounced around her shoulders as she reached deep into the largest of the three leather pouches strapped around her waist and pulled forth a small plastic container. "This should help with those burns, Mr. Bar-man!" Her light, musical voice said cheerfully as she pushed the healing balm across the table. It was a specialized mixture of aloe and mineral powder that counteracted dust, a small thing her father had taught her years ago, and it had done wonders to help with the countless scorches she'd received in her training. She'd have to mix up a bit more when she found the time."Sorry, but it won't do anything for what's left of your shirt!"

"Uhh... thank you, Miss." It was clearly not a normal day for the poor man as his eyes now darted from the money to the medicine to the tattered remains of his shirt.

Happy that she'd done her good deed for the day, Kaesey Kay went to move away from the bar, perhaps to follow the newbie bomb-maker, when the sight of another girl at the bar gave her pause. KK inhaled slowly, her eyes growing wider with every second, as she watched the student gently hold the large pair of floppy rabbit ears that sprouted from her head. Kaesey was familiar with faunus, of course, but she'd never before met one that embodied what might be her most favorite of adorable animals. "They... look... sooo soft..." Her voice cooed softly, mind in a trance like state as she drew slightly closer with hands over the thin-lipped mouth that left was hanging open.

Ah, wha, it was not even the first day of classes and she had already gotten herself into unwanted trouble. Fir consoled herself that there was not much else she could have really done anyway, short of shooting the guy for being a potential terrorist, which, while reasonable given the circumstances, didn’t seem like the most tactful thing to do. She realized that nobody was particularly injured and the damage seemed to be solely material, so she gave up on pursuing the matter further. The relevant school authorities and governing bodies, or even the other students on the airship would be taking very good care of him.

Fir caught the clean towel that entered her field of vision with a forced grin, and gave a wave of acknowledgement to the two sitting at the other side of the bar. Dusting herself off, she made her way over to the more intact section of bar.

“Aish… Thanks. Aren’t you supposed to be noticing these sorts of things, Ashart?” Having dusted herself with the towel as much as she could, the Juneau girl slid into an empty adjacent barstool. She wished she had kept her sweater on.

“These people have an attention span of a goldfish,” she commented, eyeing a blonde haired girl that had already completely forgot about the bombing and was drifting into their direction, eyes fixated on a certain rabbit Faunus. She turned her head back towards her classmates before continuing her belated greeting.

“Well, that was a rather explosive reunion! How have you two been?”

Fir reasoned she probably shouldn’t mention what happened last spring.

“Um… You seem to have good balance. But if Mr. Lupus sets off another explosion by accident, it might shake the ship a little.”

Rielle made no movement when she heard the calm voice of a boy who was nearby. She kept her eyes closed and ignored him, hoping just a little that maybe he would go away if she just ignored him. And so what if the ship shook? Rielle was perfectly capable of keeping her balance... but, of course, he wouldn't know that.

“Oh, sorry, that was a little random. Erm, name’s Gen Hio. Pleased to make your acquaintance.” the boy had said after a few moments. A sigh would escape, breaking her silence momentarily. At least for once the presence of someone wasen't ticking her off. Maybe if he didn't leave, he would just stay there and stay quiet. Either way, she wasen't feeling up to talking with him or anyone else. She looked down over the vast landscape and took it all in, simply craving to go for one flight. Her wings even twitched slightly from under her hood that was ruffling in the wind. Yet-

"...I wonder what clouds taste like?" the boy murmured before falling silent again. Slowly her blue eyes would flicker towards him and she turned head to get the full view of the boy named Gen who still lingered after she was obviously ignoring him. She looked at him for a moment, her eyes glancing up and down his person, and she frowned, blowing a lock of stray hair from her face as it got in the way. He looked... rather messy, but otherwise calm and casual as he leaned on his arms, looking up towards the sky. "For some reason, I wish this airship would rock just a little... Then i could pretend to lose my balance and find an excuse to fly away....." she stated out loud before pausing. "My name's Rielle." she said smiling then and removing the hood that covered her head. Her blue eyes lingered on him for a moment before she turned her gaze towards the sky. She said nothing for a moment before she stood to her full height, still balancing on the railing. "You know, the funny thing about clouds is, they taste a little different depending on where you are. It also depends on how good your imagination is, because once, I imagined that they tasted like frosting." she brought her hand up to cover her mouth as a light giggle escaped. She glanced at Gen again. Maybe I've found a reason to fly just this once.

Carefully she would remove Seraphine and lean towards Gen. "Hold onto this for me for a sec. And careful, its heavier than it looks. 44.8 pounds to be exact." she would say, holding it out to him with one arm despite its weight. She would wait until he took it, as she'd give him no choice, and then she would shrug her shoulders and slowly unfold her wings from under her hood. The reddish brown feathers would dance lightly in the wind, and as she shook them one at a time, a few feathers would fall of and be blown away, carried up towards the sky. Rielle would take Seraphine back from him then and carefully place it back between her wings in a comfortable position. Before she would attempt what she had planned, she had to make sure her wings were flight ready. So with a wink to Gen, she said "Watch this.~" before jumping off the railing.

Immediately a wide smile would spread across her face as she stretched out her wings as she fell. With little effort on her part, the wind would slowly start to carry her into the sky. She could see Beacon and practically all of Veil from where she was, and as she did a few twists and turns to show off, she decided that her wings were just fine, just cramped from not being used in so long. After doing a few dives and backflips, having a bit of fun on her own, she would fly back over to where Gen was and rest her hands on the railing right in front of him. She held her wings still, allowing the wind and the air ship to tug her along as she smiled at him. She haden't been this happy in a long time.

"Cool huh?" she asked before holding her hand out towards him. "I wont do any fancy tricks so you dont have to worry...." she stretched it a little closer to him, urging Gen to accept her invitation. "Do you want to find out how the clouds taste over Beacon?" she asked in a nice, almost singing tone.

As the smoke began to clear, the ringing in Eurwens ears was unfortunately still blaring. Slightly disorientated, she tugged at the bottom of her ears in pain while a quiet whimper rumbled from her chest. "Thanks for.. you didn’t have your earmuffs.. that explosion?” Half tempted to ask him to repeat his words, Eurwen simply shook her head 'no' all while trying to shake out that godforsaken noise. Looking over at the damage, the rabbits gaze fell onto to the back where all the liquor had been meticulously placed on shelves, but to her horror, just like the rights side of the bar, it had been blown to bits.

A mixture of agony, rage, and loss swarmed within the rabbit once she caught sight of her drinks crushed lemon slice on the floor. Brown eyes growing wide and teary, the edges of her lips curved into a large frown as she slumped against the bar, "My drink..." Looking forward to tasting her favorite drink, Eurwens eyes locked onto the Wolf Faunus just as he hurried out to the patio. "He'll pay for this." She hissed out threateningly, the black aura swarming around her once again, seething menacingly around like a negative void.

Aish… Thanks. Aren’t you supposed to be noticing these sorts of things, Ashart?

With the ringing dying down, the sudden voice caught her by surprise, forcing her out of the vengeful mood and away from any thoughts of the fallen liquor. Spinning around on the barstool, Eurwen gasped loudly in excitement, "Fir!" The same wide smile slipped along her features as she caught sight of another one of her classmates. So many familiar faces surrounded her now, and even with the sudden chaos it seemed like all the anxiety she had been struggling with earlier was now a thing of the past. “Well, that was a rather explosive reunion! How have you two been?" Grimacing at the question, Eurwen shrugged as she thought back to the past five minutes, "I've been good, but right about now I'm feeling a little.. unprepared."

Sitting amongst her friends, a look of concern came over the Faunus as she looked to Ashart, and then Fir, "So, why aren't you guys going Torchwood?" As the children of two of Vacuos most reputable companies, the Faunus had assumed the two of them would be attending the Academy together. It had been a surprise to say the least, but it only made Eurwen worry more. Leaning in close she spoke in a hushed tone, only loud enough for the other two to hear, "Did something happen?" Staring wide eyed at both of them she waited for answer, afraid that something family wise, or personal had caused them to be declined from Torchwood.

Birds Of A Feather Flock Together

Compassion:

Gen blankly stared off into the canvas of light blue and white as the ship progressed on its course. The airship would arrive at its destination in roughly twenty minutes, though it definitely felt like a longer trek. If he was to record his experiences at Beacon within, the recent events would be thrown into the first chapter, titled Explosive Developments. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the girl was still in the same composure as of a few moments ago. His ears picked up a faint sigh as the girl exhaled, yet a response refused to leave her lips. It wasn’t until after his query did she finally react, breaking from her quiescent state. The teen turned to face the hooded student in response to her own movement, ending up with the two staring at each other. They both analyzed their external qualities, getting a relative idea of both members of the conversation. He instantly noticed the tint of her retinas, which were of a similar tone of blue as his own. Whilst his were a darker shade, those which belonged to the student were of a more vibrantly lighter hue, almost venturing into a palette of green. She patted down the hair exposed from beneath her hood, locks of similar color to the sun. The girl’s expression could be considered childish if she was to make such a face. But instead, she kept a stern look, which supported her sharp gaze.

"For some reason, I wish this airship would rock just a little... Then i could pretend to lose my balance and find an excuse to fly away....."

As if on cue, Lupus, the demolitionist, stepped onto the open deck. The other students must have finished reprimanding him, or he managed to slither his way out while they were distracted. Either way, it seemed the boy found amusement out of Gen’s mediocre introduction, and followed the same suit in a more adept manner. Gen gave a slight greeting nod, but something else preoccupied him. Hio tried to wrap his mind around the random statement, as one didn’t usually wish to fall off the side of a ship. To confirm a suspicion of his, he opened his mouth and attempted to blurt out some words, but was cut off by the girl’s belated debut.

”My name’s Rielle.”

The name was more unique and outnumbered his own when it came to consonants. Rielle grabbed the edges of her hoodie and pulled it back behind her neck, showing the entireity of her hairstyle. A smile was painted on her face as she stared at him from her crouched angle, before moving her gaze towards the masses of water above. She responded to his question earlier, going into depth about the variables which factored into the taste of clouds. Not only did it depend on the location of the condensed water, but also one’s imagination, something which Gen was notably creative with. After all, such a thing worked with his sub-conscious to manifest the trio of personae. ”I never thought there was such a diversity to the taste of clouds… I’ll have to inform E. later.” The thought of the persona also reminded him of the promise he made earlier, his entitlement to hosting a funeral for the now late insect. Rielle’s own statement made her giggle, though she was lost in her train of thought for a few seconds. She wrapped her hands around her weapon and held it out towards Gen.
"Hold onto this for me for a sec. And careful, its heavier than it looks. 44.8 pounds to be exact."

His eyes widened as he cautiously placed his palms around the limbs of the bow, keeping his fingers away from the serrated blades. The weapons was nearly four and a half times heavier than his firearm, making him doubtful at first. He couldn’t fathom how much strength was hidden within those covered arms, Gen almost fell forward as the bow left Rielle’s grasp. His eyes were focused on the bow, trying to not cut himself in the process as he managed to stay upright. Once he regained a stable footing, he noticed the sound of flapping before him. As he raised his gaze, the teen realized what was hidden beneath the rosey hood. A set of a wings, showing off a pattern of yellow and dark red feathers. A few fell off like flower petals, and were carried away by the constantly blowing wind. Gen was competely focused on the scene before him, until a gust forced his tie into his face. With his free hand, he stuffed the piece of cloth back into his shirt and sighed, handing the bow back to the classmate. Hio was able to guess her next action as she went through with it, with a grin the girl levitated into the air. The other students who were resting on the deck, along with a few who were inside the cabin, were all affixated on Rielle’s flight show. She was obviously an expert in the field of aviation, as she was able to keep at the same speed as the airship, she was most likely hindering herself from torpedoing on ahead of the vessel. She finally returned to the patio and set her arms on the railing before Gen, who was completely astonished by Rielle abilities. ”...I hope Tactician meets with her tomorrow. I’m sure he’ll be able to devise an effective combat style to benefit them both.” She looked up at him from the opposite side of the railing, holding out her hand.

"Do you want to find out how the clouds taste over Beacon?"

Gen debated on his response, such a flight was definitely a viable getaway from the recent events. He ran a hand through his messy hair and nodded, slowly taking the hand. With his free palm, he tightened the strap which held the gun to his back. “...Alright. But let’s try to not scare or collide with any of the other vessels. I think a flying girl would raise some-” The boy was cut off mid-sentence as he was suddenly tugged forward. As if he was as light as a ragdoll, it took him a few moments to realize he had completely left a tangible surface. Only the faraway landscape was left below him. “...questions.” He finished as the girl let go of his hand, leaving him suspended in the air for a moment. At a lighting fast rate, Rielle slipped her upper limbs beneath his underarms, then flew off before the ship, “We’ll have to wait for our luggage.” Hio was in an oddly calm tone, albeit being miles above ground level. “Now I miss my hoodie. It’s pretty cold up here.” The lack of the protective attire allowed the temperature of the cooled air to effect the teen. ”It should only take us about ten minutes at this rate.” He thought to himself as he was tugged along for the flight.

"Attention, students. We are now preparing for landing at Beacon Academy. Please gather your belongings and prepare for touchdown."

The PA clicked off and then on again.

"Our flight staff also requests that students refrain from utilizing Dust while in flight. Thank you for your consideration."

The engines' whine slowed as the ship made its descent, before stopping as it gracefully touched down.

"New students, proceed to the main dining hall where you will be spending your first night. Your headmaster will be waiting there to welcome you to our institution."

Indigo's face lit up during the announcement for their landing. He was getting tired of flying through the skies, also he was relieved that he would be able to be out in a much more open space, where avoiding explosions would probably more favorable as opposed to a cramped airship. He began his walk towards the exit of the ship and quickly examined his surroundings. The students already seemed to have found groups or peers during their stay at Beacon he assumed as great deal of them were talking to each other as they were walking out, some were even hurrying as if they didn't want this ship to be their grave. "The chances of that happening is close to 0." He thought to himself.

Close to 0.

He quickly picked up his pace to head out of the ship before another incident occurs.

As he exited, he was met with a completely new setting. It was much more different that where he grew up, there were bright colors and everything just seemed so bright . Even Indigo, who doesn't usually seem to care about such things was taken aback by it, this is the place where he was going to spend a good deal of time in. He took a deep breath. "I'mma make you proud, ma!", a student with a build resembling that of a lumberjack yelled at the top of lungs as he bumped into Indigo, who was caught by surprise and fell right on his face. The student who bumped into him didn't bother with apologies, instead he made a quick sprint towards the buildings and was soon out of view. Indigo stood up as tears began to well up in his eyes, some students passing by gave him looks of pity, some were even laughing at his misfortune or the fact that his nose was bleeding, either way it was all the same. He walked towards a tree along the side of the walkway and sat leaning against it, tilting his head up to stop the bloody mess from getting even more bothersome.

"This should take awhile." He thought to himself as he saw multiple students walking past him, some even staring. Oddly, he didn't feel embarrassed or rather he thought there was no reason to. The whole incident cured him of a little boredom, as he studied the reactions of the students passing by him, the impression he got off them was similar as to not get overly familiar with him if they did not want to get bullied or something. Although, he didn't feel embarrassed he was definitely annoyed at the result of his fall, as he pinched his nose tighter to avoid any blood from spilling out. He took another deep sigh thinking that he'll arrive a bit later than he planned. "Trouble. Trouble. Trouble."

Blink. Pause. Blink.

Ingrained reactions fought with conscious thought for a moment before Oren regained full control of his body. Letting the tension dissipate with a slow sigh, he moved a hand back to his side from behind him; the holster he had been reaching for was empty and there wasn’t anybody that needed to be shot after all. Straightening himself from the slight crouch he had assumed, he also took a moment to survey the extent of the damage. Which wasn’t too bad after all; it seemed the reaction had been more flashbang than deadly grenade. Seeing little for him to do as students picked themselves up while others took the time to criticize the individual responsible, Oren decided to just move on and file the memory under ‘Interesting Shit that happened’.

A dull thunk was made as metal plates hit one another and then Oren stood up, this time with his locker attached to the suit’s back. When he stepped off he noticed, with a bit of surprise, that he wasn’t one of the last students off the airship. On the contrary, he seemed to be one of the first which was a bit odd, but in the end didn’t really matter. Surveying the Academy briefly, it was about as large as he had anticipated it would be. Larger than the Academy he had attended prior to enlisting, given it was a boarding school after all, but smaller than the base he had been posted to. The architecture had a much more unique feel to it than the plain grey, uninspired military designs though; with the skyscraping tower at the center easily catching his attention.

He didn’t pause to stare though, taking all this in while he walked towards the dining hall as the students had been directed. He didn’t need another reason for others to look in his direction, the hardsuit did a fine enough job of that for him. While not horribly irritated, Oren could say he looked forward to taking the armor off and hanging it on a rack for the foreseeable future. Alas, he would have to wait until after the Headmaster’s greetings for some free time.

KK had just been reaching out to stroke the undoubtedly fluffy ears of the bunny-faunus (an action which would have most certainly been considered incredibly invasive) when the announcement over the ship's loudspeaker shook her from her trance. It was like a light switch with her, the squirrely girl's mind suddenly shifting to another topic entirely as if all previous thoughts had never even existed. Sometimes, for one as excitable as her, the phrase 'living in the moment' can become all too literal. "Beacon!" She chimed cheerfully as the massive ship touched down lightly and the hoard of students started filing towards the exits; most a bit too quickly for what would be considered 'calm'. Kaesey didn't wait to follow, skipping down the platform with the head of her flair and her long ponytail bouncing behind her. It was unfortunate that she hadn't been able to make a best friend while aboard the transport, but there was always the assembly! And then dinner! And then sleepover in the hall!

She was determined to make at least one best friend before the day was out.

The sunlight and open air felt heavenly after the cramped confines of the airship and as she stepped out, KK couldn't help but stop for a moment, close her eyes, and take a long breath. This of course didn't stop the other students from jostling her as they went past; one even shoulder checking her hard enough to send her spinning. Luckily, her reflexes caught up to the motion and she stopped herself from falling flat on her face, instead twisting through the crowd and out to the side of the path where the flow of traffic wasn't so intense. "How rude..." She huffed, her lips sticking out in a pout, watching after the one who'd hit her though the large boy paid her absolutely no mind. Falling back against a tree, KK continued to complain aloud. "You'd think someone who's been invited to such an awesome school would have the courtesy to look out for us short people! I mean seriously, it's not like I'm invis- Oh!" It was at that moment that the tiny girl noticed that the tree she'd leaned against had not been unoccupied as she looked over to the boy sitting not two feet away. He was clearly a first year as well, dressed in a fine set of white clothes and looking rather lost, but he appeared quite preoccupied with clutching his nose. She could make out the tiny stains of red around his fingertips.

"I think head-blood is the most important blood." The girl muttered absently before realizing that he could absolutely hear her and such a thought was probably not one people said out loud. Digging through the second largest of the three leather pouches on her waist, Kaesey produced a small grey rag. "You'd better use this! If you get any blood on that suit it's gonna be a paaaaaaain to get it out... Although my dad did tell me a great way to remove Grimm blood from linen sheets. All you need is a bit of baking soda, powdered quartz, and diet gingerale which you mix in a bowl with-" Remember to always think of others first. The echoeing of her grandmothers words in her head allowed her to catch herself mid-derailment, snapping her jaw shut. Cheeks flushing pink, she flashed a shy and rather awkward smile as she held the rag out to him. "Eh... What I mean is, sorry it smells like grease..."[/b] It was a simply piece of fabric she use when cleaning the mechanism inside Breakr, but she usually washed it out pretty well.

“Well,” he replied, “I probably should have, but I didn’t think security in Beacon would be THIS lax. Guess the headmaster doesn’t care, as long as tuition is paid.”

Ignoring the fact that Eurwen looked like she was ready to kill whomever had destroyed her source of alcohol, because their resident airship terrorist was already getting chewed up by the complaints and admonishments of other students, Ashart instead brushed a bit of debris off his shoulder before shrugging. The strawberry blonde girl did have a rather…vacuous look in her eyes, but the Chimp Faunus really shouldn’t judge her for that. Deciding to take the middle ground, he said, “I wouldn’t go as far as to equate their attention span to that of goldfish, Fir. Beacon should be an…open enough school to accept applications from those with ADHD as well.”

Of course, that goes back to his whole idea that Beacon just accepted anyone who could pay for the tuition, but he didn’t find a need to restate his opinion once more. Certainly, there were skilled first years amongst them who weren’t completely idiotic, irresponsible, or insane. He’ll just imagine that he hasn’t found those types of people yet. Outside of the Torchwood trio, obviously.

Standing up at Eurwen’s own question, he waved away her worries. “Nothing particular happened. Just on a whim, and cause my mom wanted me to check out how my older sister was doing. And hey, despite how unique most of the students are here, it’ll be a nice cultural experience.”

Man, he really did sound like he was constantly insulting every Signal student here, wasn’t he?

He picked up his silver baseball bat, wrapped the black ribbon around his right forearm, and then jerked his head towards the PA. “Guess we should be heading out now. Maybe they have an illegal gin-and-tonic bootlegger in one of Beacon’s alleyways?”

Lupus almost Flew out of the god forsaken airship. he had been so far airsick, exploded, ridiculed so it just felt so good to get off that cramped hunk of metal. Lupus eyes turned sharp as he looked at the building from under his hat. The massive tower in the middle was a sight to behold. "so this is where I am staying huh" he said under his breath in awe. he followed the not so neat line of students that where slowly walking towards the building.

Lupus dragged his swords behind as he walked making small sparks. he saw a girl handing a rag to a guy with what seemed to be a nose bleed. Lupus stood their watching the girl's light heart'ed conversation when she handed the rag. Lupus grinned. before coughing profusely. from Dust inhalement. from the explosion he had inexplicably caused by his Curiosity and been labeled as a terrorist..

He begun to take a step towards them. and then stopped. ("what if they don't like me..." "What if they hated me..." "im such a goddanm screw up...") He thought. he was about 5 meters away. just standing their with his swords binding him in the ground. with a light breeze trickling behind him rustling his silver hair.. his eyes were unblinking as he stood their staring almost in shame and almost in fear... his confidence had left him... maybe it was the overlooking shadow of the school that intimidated him or maybe it was something else he refused to admit...

Press' offer of help to Lupus was brushed off, which had him raise an eyebrow, but he didn't question it. Instead he examined the remains of the bar, which wasn't much. Needless to say, things could have gone better. Then the announcement that they had landed sounded, which Press was excited about. He had no idea what he was going to encounter in this new place, but Press was certain that whatever happened, he would certainly live through it.

Press followed the other students out of the ship and onto the school grounds. As he walked, he double checked his equipment and arms, making sure that they were in working condition. Satisfied that they were, he looked around. Already it seemed like there were some people who were already acting like it'd be their second home. Truth be told, it probably would be for quite some time, so Press decided to make the most of it.
