I like to think of Essence as a version of the world of darkness. there are lots of good people in it. they just don't make interesting characters.

Yeah... I don't really know where to come in in all of this. There's only so much I can write where there's fuck all I know can actually get involved in. What I've read seems a bit too intricate for my characters to just suddenly arrive and become a part of, so... I guess I should just leave. Sorry about time wasted.

Peskay is brutal, but not violent. And he likes puppies...

Solus's girlfriend is peaceful, but probably doesn't count. She also likes puppies...

Alyce Rinno will like puppies. And she will be neither brutal, nor violent.

Slyre likes how puppies fly when punted.

You just jump in, man. We won't let you drown. Just ask questions and we will deliver. Also, there's not one person here (veteran or not) who has a complete grasp over the entire RP and its lore, world, events. So you're not alone. But that is why we all rely on each other and talk about it. I also know that your character is very well liked and is a Musician, which we are lacking in. So you definitely don't lose out on uniqueness.

I wish I could help with placement, but I'm struggling with my own CSes and I've been in this RP before. Let others come to help you with that, I'm sure they can find a spot for your PC to enter. But just don't walk away without giving it all a real, honest chance.

Well this isn't like any other RP where you could just give me a twenty-worded summary of an event and I'll take off there. Everything is a collab, and consisting of context and lore that I'm largely ignorant of. It's one thing for me to just jump in, but since I don't even know what's going on, I can't exactly figure out how to get involved in any of it. If anything, that'll just make it all the more easier for me to end up getting ignored, or missing out on something that is worth partaking in.

What I would like to to collab with someone who I could somehow get Noelle and Damian involved with, but in this instance I'm not quite sure if anyone is available. I'm not even quite sure what is going on where at the moment, so I'd be practically going in blind and possibly not even going in any meaningful direction if I just post what I have now, which is a gloried prologue of how Noelle and Damian met.

Then there are several people who will and can collab with you given the chance. You could try talking to Yoshua171, Synthorian, or Wind. They're the GM's and the people who know most about the lore. I know Yosh is always willing to help when he can, so I'll let him know you need a hand! ^^

I briefly tried to think of some way in which I could frame Cerria as something other than a destructive monster.... But no, even when she was good she still liked breaking stuff for fun.

It's funny, I was wondering why you hadn't made a post yet, Lucius, now I know. I shoulda sent you a PM asking what was up, I'll try to remember this kind of thing for future situations.

So, more or less, I have Crow, who could be very helpful for both of your characters. I'm actually going to be using him to help Slade's character, Rhett, get involved as well.

I know things can seem a bit daunting here due to the depth of the lore and (our unfortunate tendency not to gather it in one place. Sorry about that, it's just there is so much that we have been kinda putting it up even though we really should hop to it) the many things going on at once.

I think everyone should start using location and time of day tags (they don't have to be specific clock times, but it'd be nice to ballpark them somewhat so that we're all aware of the time of day).

If you like, Lucius, I can PM you, Echo, and Slade (group PM) and we can figure out a nice spiffy way to get the three of you into one plot or another. In fact you might all end up in league with one another. Though Cerria might go together with someone else, since she's of a more blatantly destructive nature. Also, I know that you (Lucius) and Echo don't use/seem to use skype much, I do highly suggest it as it is where a lot of us plan things out together. It's part of the reason that Season 1 was even completed. In fact, without skype I don't think we would have even gotten half way through it all due to everyone having a life, and people disappearing here and there.

Just a suggestion/piece of advice, but it is in no way necessary. Fallen doesn't have skype either, but we managed to integrate her and her character's plots into the overall lore via mass PMs and the like :P

Question: How destructive we talking here? I'm gonna go read her CS again since I have yet to do so since you totally revamped it, but if she's so destructive that she doesn't even care who she is in league with (be they demon, angel, or human) than I might have an interesting idea, which could very quickly get her involved in one of the...larger plots going on. So...yeah, get back to me on that.

I am still working away slowly with Rtron on a post. I kinda figured you'd eventually reply out of nowhere on the PM Wind, its what I'd do.

Oh, as a note. We don't use the Voice call or Video call portions of Skype when it comes to communicating. It's all through text. It's only more useful than the OOC because it's in real time :)

Well, on the skype front, I avoid skype with a vengeance as it is a ridiculously invasive program. It is not, however, the only method to conduct real time communications.

As for Cerria (I should really call her Aluvia, thats who she is now, Cerria is who she was and kind of is now.... Its complicated), we are talking force of nature destructive. She is a weather angel and no friend to the council. Its easier to illustrate her mental state at the moment by directing you to read her character sheet, but as far as future intentions go they are basically: find out who she was, and in the mean time, continue to carry out what she believes her former selfs task was. That is, judge human towns and cities.

In absence of any genuine feeling towards any of the factions, she believes as she did just prior to Cerria's death, though those beliefs are somewhat of a default state rather than a strongly held opinion, and she'll be quite impressionable at the moment. As for not caring who she is in league with... The big picture isn't one of her strong points. Its really more a case of pointing her at something that needs to go away and seting her loose. She could be compared to a Force of Nature in that regard. Little care for who is on what side.

Ever tried uninstalling Skype and truly removing all its files? Perhaps looked at the background processes it runs by default, hogging system resources it doesn't need? The multitudinous updates that do very little except bloat its files?

It used to be good, many versions ago, but over time it has become like an inert computer cancer that simply sits there taking up far more space than it needs.

I'm not talking info stealing scary invasive, just an unbelievable data hog thats near impossible to remove once you have it...

My real time chatting is carried out via a sub-channel of the guilds own chat system on mibbit, Fallen and Lucius both make use of that channel as well. It doesn't require any installed software or profiles, though you can access the system with dedicated programs if you feel so inclined. Otherwise it functions purely in ones browser. The only real disadvantage I've thus far found is that it doesn't like Rtron for some reason.

I would love to get involved however I can. Mass collab, 1x1, I'm good for any. As for Skype I can't say I use it much, and I did have one before, but because I've never used it I've long forgotten the account information. Like Echo said I'm sometimes on Mibbit but I do most of my collaborative efforts through PM's and the Pads. Doesn't mean I'll stick to it, I can get a skype account up and running eventually.

Also as much signature suggest, College has be a bit of a damper on my RPing time. Normally such length in IC's don't bother me, but between classes and work, I find it harder and harder to keep pace with a lot of information, more so when I have other RP's which I juggle my time with. Not that I plan to drop any if I have to (I really didn't want to drop this one), but just so you know why I seem incompetent when it comes to figuring out plot and stuff.

Hmm... maybe I should put my summary writing skills back to work.
