This is just a thought, but isn't Magic technically I the wands/rods class? I know in ToD in order to use magic, you need to have wands, even if you're an earth mate. And each wand has its own elements, like fire rods for fire, wind rods for wind, sprout rods for planting, etc... I think we should implement that rule here too. The different magic classes would stop magic practicing characters from being too OP. Granted, you can still practice water magic even if you prefer fire, you just have to have a water rod equipped to do so.

Personality: Kar is a simple man with a simple life and a simple love. Traveling around the land, meeting new people, having adventures and sharing stories. He is a friendly young man, mature and fun loving, inquisitive and outgoing, always looking for new things to try and interesting new things to learn. Some might say his stubborn nature and relentless enthusiasm and upbeat personality are annoying but he wears them with pride.

History: Born on the outskirts of the Sech Empire's territory Kar's father was a seasoned hunter and warrior and his mother was a simple merchant, after a thorough and detailed education the time for Kar to decide his own career came. Against the wishes of his father the 16 year old set out to travel the land as a bard, learning new songs and musical styles as he went from place to place as well as occasionally trading items to make up any money he needed. The idyllic lifestyle suited him and his return visits home grew scarcer and scarcer until he ceased them all together and instead started using mail to communicate with his friends and family back home. Over the years Kar picked a number of different jobs from working part time jobs in various settlements, farming, fishing and waitering being among them. After hearing rumours of a more isolated and mysterious city he set out to find Ekrem with a bag full of particularly rare items, hoping he'd be able to stay there a while.

The console games use Rods but the portable games use tomes, that way you could use a weapon and magic. The trade up was that magic tended to always cost a lot more RP in the games that did that.

Well, I'm not willing to stick around and find out. I'm sorry all, but there's been no activity from chirping chip in almost a week, no response to pms, and no OOC. I get that we all have work and lives, but this is not how you start an RP. I'm out. Good bye to you all, you've been great.

I'm also going to be leaving, because I just don't have time for this, and there hasn't been any activity. It was fun while it lasted.

Ok, well if this is still happening, I'm interested. I'll keep an eye on the thread to see if it gets life again, as this RP seems pretty interesting.
