I don't enjoy horror films either, but I can watch Jennifer's Body. I saw the gore parts of it once, but whenever I re-watch it, I fast forward through all that stuff. I tried to watch 'Deliver us from Evil' the other day, as I enjoy the religious themes, but turns out it was just another exorcism flick with cheap jump-scares. The good thing was that the jump-scares were really predictable, so I could just fast forward through those as well!

I would suggest watching The Conjuring if you enjoy religious themes. It actually made me cry in the end. Not of fear, if that's what you're thinking. It was a really good movie with a fantastic ending and a fantastic plot. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it had like one jump scare, but it wasn't cheap; it was kinda necessary, even if it did scare the complete bejeesus out of me. The rest of the movie was scary, but in a different way than most horror flicks nowadays try to scare their audience. It's intelligent, cleverly composed cinematically (notawordbutwhatever), and the 'scares' (which, let's face it, was the entire movie; it was just one big scare ;_;) was plot-driven. The director actually said that he hates cheap-jump scares and tactics used to get the audience riled up, instead of actually terrified.

Unless, of course, you have problems with the aftermath of watching a scary movie, like I do. I had trouble sleeping for a good while. ._. It's very much a psychological horror, I think that's the term. It's a horror that's very effective and I would call a far cry from being cheap. In terms of religion, it's very much tied to the main character's faith and end very beautifully too with a deep religious subtext. The story could stand on its own without it being scary, to be honest.

Rockette's the expert in the horror genre, she might know more movies that are scary, but not gory.

See, when Prisk knows it's okay, but if I said I knew you'd all call me a pervert!

But I've never seen Jennifer's Body. Though I have seen that scene.

That scene is hot as Hell. I might be biased, but I think most people would agree, even hardened Christians who think that same-sex interactions are the Devil itself. If I had the chance to be with a girl that looks like Megan, it would be the end of boys for me.

Anyway, I saw The Conjuring today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I did skip the jump-scares. They're just too much for my senses. But, I don't have any problems with the 'aftermath'... I mean, it's fiction. Why be scared of something that isn't real? Even if it was real, the chances of being exposed to it would be slim at best. I think I'm a lot more afraid of Ebola or being mugged, or worse, by some stranger on the street.

This is undoubtedly true, from movies to television series to video games!
Speaking of horror, anyone enjoy haunted houses? Probably not.
I'd post the video link of the one I'd want to go to, but since most don't enjoy horror like I do, I won't. It has graphic advertisement.

Anyways, it's a tour that has no limits what so ever, only two people go in at a time, they can do whatever they want to you and sometimes the tour lasts from two, four, six hours long. You sign a waver and must be in appropriate psychical condition and admission is free! I've never heard about it until now. The experience is so overwhelming that they sometimes only allow four people a week.

On another note, glad you're not leaving Prisk, I almost panicked.
I know I have collabs to finish but everything I have planned and plotted out into a summary falls in a "time line". If I don't get one in particular done today, I think I'll post a battle post since that timeline stands on its own and won't conflict with everything else.

@Rockette: Actually, I never asked if you ever played Fatal Frame.

I was the kid who closed their eyes (or stared at the ground) during the entire haunted house experience (the walking ones or the rides, doesn’t matter) as a friend held my hand. I’ve never attempted a haunted house for a long time so I’m not sure if I got any better (?) with them.

What’s really weird is that I’m fine with just about every other form of the horror genre. I guess it’s because I feel like I’m not in any immediate danger with those.

Did someone say horror? *Inserts gleeful tap dance*

Rockette, that haunted house sounds amazing and it kind of sounds like The Great Horror Campout. I'm a fan of creepy things and ghost stories, but I've never been to a haunted house. Unfortunately, I live in the middle of nowhere.

However, I would like to visit one before I die or something, haha.

Are you guys into creepypastas :)? If you're into reading about the bizarre and frightening, I recommend Sixpenceee or Saya in Underworld.

Sonder, I read a creepy pasta late at night, and it still scares the bajesus out of me! The husky one? That messed with my head like no other! I'd suggest you watch a video of it of someone giving commentary. Adds to the spook factor in my opinion.

Ex, almost ready to begin collabing with you! Just finishing up Prisk and mine, so later today we can get started anytime!

Great - shoot me a PM with a pad? I'll be busy today and tomorrow but I am more free after that.

Have any of you watched Gravity Falls? Been watching it the past couple weeks.

Check and check. Huh, I wonder why there are a lot of (originally) Japanese ones. I'm sure freaky stories are universal.

I've seen it being mentioned, but I've never actually watched it. How is it?

Fatal Frame? No, don't think I've played it. Name sounds familiar though. d:

Don't really care for creepypastas, to be honest. Just could never get into them at all.

Anyways, posting today [couldn't yesterday due to personal reasons; birthday of someone who passed away in my family] since I have the day off completely! Also, anyone heard from Arch lately?

It's great! It's a kids' show, I admit, but it feels much more grown-up and they get away with a lot. It can be pretty weird/creepy at times... which makes it right up my alley D:

Rockette, check out the Husky creep pasta. Though I'm not sure if it'd be enough to scare you, it totally made me wary of packages in the mailbox for a time. Granted, I read this thing a loooonnngggg time ago!

Isn't Gravity Falls that movie about the two astronauts getting stuck in space? Also Ex, I'm just going to post my current collab in the Tree of Life Outpad thing. That'd be easier, no? Otherwise, I can certainly make a new titanpad?

MAJOR FREAKIN' EDIT:

I'm really sorry to hear about the recent passing Rockette. I hope all is well on your end?

Ugh, I've had 8 AM classes this whole week. It's good that you guys keep each other busy in here.

Oh, and I noticed that Anima has her own roleplay now? What gives? You don't seem to understand, sweetie, that The Spirits Within is Love, The Spirits Within is Life. There is nothing else but the SPIRITS within you, and me, and all of us here. Haha, just kidding, of course! If you ever need players, all you need to do is ask me or the trusty minions here!

I have never understood peoples fascination with horror myself. Or the appeal of the lesbian fantasy.

I actually wrote two big rants on the subjects for this post before I decided to scrap the whole thing as little more than verbal masturbation.

I will have my next post up within the next two days.

Boromir Music Minute

This one was particularly hard to decide upon as well. Bloc Party makes some of the best music to Boromir to.

Post forthcoming.

Oh hello there Prisk! I've been waiting on our titanpad for you, but not a peep has come from your corner! I've been terribly lonely! I tease, of course!

Oh no! I was hoping you and your spirits would overlook my little thread! Looks like I've been caught red-handed! Though I did start a group rp, I shall not shrink away from this lovely story we have going here! I mean, it'd be kind of mean since I 'begged' you to join this. So, no. Fear not; I shall still love this thread! I didn't want to 'recruit', but if you are interested, please have a look! But by no means should you feel pressured whatsoever!

By the way Prisk, I really like your avatar! Who is she? My first thought was Megan Fox, but the woman looks much prettier!
