I climb up the vines to the house, and look around. "Wow, this place looks ancient or something," I say as I walk around. "So, you think that scrafty could have the last name of Birch?" I ask. "Doesn't look like a fighting type would even live here, though... but you never know," I mutter as I open a door and walk in. I walk around the house, looking for interesting things, but there wasn't really anything. "I don't think that they're here," I say as I continue searching for the scrafty.

-Samuel-
I decide to rest near the beach. "Hello, hello, hello?" I call out before standing up and walking into the forest. I go left and right and get to where I thought the scrafty was. Not there, sadly. I continue walking around the forest and find that disc I threw. "Hey!" I say, picking it up. I take one more large throw with it, in whatever direction was suitable. I heard it hit something, echoing through a small patch of the forest. I run towards the noise, thinking I just hit the scrafty in the head, maybe. I get to my disc. It was caught in a tree branch. "I can't just have nice things today, can I?" I ask before walking around the forest some more and going back to my area that was nice. I call out "Hello?" about three more times before I take a break and chill out in my cave.

Tini

Well it looked like the adventure was back on "yay! more adventure!" Tini cheered. As he made his way to the vines, he made an important discovery; he lacked the limbs to climb them "ah crumbs" he pouted. However, someone like Tini wasn't going to give up the easy. Finding the thickest vine he could, he stretched up as high as he could and then bit into it. Once his jaw had a solid enough grip, he coiled tightly around a group of vines. Then he stopped biting the vine and stretched up further before biting into another vine. He conditioned this until he had reached the top. Once he was back on solid ground, he crumbled to the floor and cheered weakly, but still excitedly "yay...adventure"

Kamina

"Fire Types huh? Well your fire wont hurt me, because my flame burns brighter then both of yours!" Swimming behind Spruce, he used his little fishy snout to flip him up into the...water(?) and caught him on his back. "Come Spruce, my noble comrade. Let us charge wildly into battle! For honor, justice, and the glory of your lover and my friend Celes. Please don't feel left out M; I only mentioned Celes because she and Spruce are in love, and fighting battles for the sake of one's women isn't unheard of. I added that part about her being my friend to make it clear that she was more to me then just my friend lover. You are just as important to me as the others my metallic friend. Now, time to charge!!!" and with that, Kamina rushed the two fire types, with Spruce on his back

The mystery Pokemon used a move that seemed to make Terra's nightmare even worse.
"We have to find a way to turn on the lights! If we don't do something soon, Terra will just slip into... *gulp* the big sleep... so to speak," Anthony said.
"I'm on it." Matt said, putting Josh's bucket on the ground while he looked around for a light source. Meanwhile, Daniel used a shadow move on the mystery Pokemon, which seemed to deal a good amount of damage. He seemed to remember something that his mother told him, about a Pokemon called Darkrai. It seemed likely that this was the Pokemon they were fighting.

Josh fired a Water Gun into the darkness, but once again didn't hit anything. "Hurry up, Matt." He said. Like Anthony said, Terra could die if they didn't finish this soon. If they continued blindly attacking into the darkness, there's no way they would beat Darkrai fast enough.

"Ergh." I groaned, tapping my magnets together and letting off a few sparks. "Let's put these things back into shape." I would never say that, but lately I wasn't really myself. Less pain meant I could concentrate more, and unfortunately (paradoxically in fact) it brought more pain thinking about the last few days.

The ocean was clear, elegant and had webs of sunlight on the surface. You could see further than up in a mountain, gazing out at everything from seaweed to seaweed that were really Pokemon. And yet, instead of enjoying the beauty again, we were fighting a literal juxtaposition underwater. Physics didn't make sense on its own, and going into that messed up zone would probably kill us... or for worse, trap us forever. "Alright, keep your distance away from that place. You don't want to end up as those Pokemon down there!"

And then, Spruce somehow got hit by flames underwater. To our relief, he didn't get burnt, but obviously stuff wasn't working out well - he was hurt, and it was clear the influence of the breakdown of physics was spreading. "Ah, heck." To my amusement, when I let out a small thunder attack, it was amplified into... well, a laser. the 'lightning bolt' went straight, just damn straight. It was like a rod formed within a millisecond. Unfortunately, I just missed the Charmeleon and hit an imploding pillar. Disturbingly, he had an uncanny resemblance to those Shadow Pokemon... and, worse, he had the fucking crystal. My Ars. This wouldn't end well. Again.

"If we had a Plan B, I think it would involve getting back to the guild. Anyone?"

Out of nowhere, everyone seemed to be asking me to do this and that, and before I could answer anyone, Kamina just picked me up and started charging head-first into the fight. He was surprisingly fast underwater, and I didn't have enough time to react. Thankfully, Celes' weird... um... light chain attack left both of our enemies wide open for an attack, and I ended up using tackle the moment Kamina arrived at their bubble, I aimed for the charmeleon in particular, and thanks to the somehow doubled power he actually seemed damaged by the attack, and even pushed back slightly. It wasn't much, but it was a glimmer of hope, and maybe this was all we needed. The charmeleon tried to use a sort of weird, grey slash-based attack, and somehow, I could tell that it was a void attack, so I jumped off of Kamina, and got in the way of the charmeleon's attack, taking the hit for Kamina, and not really taking much damage from the move, as well. The vulpix looks towards M, and fires off a flamethrower of her own in some sort of attempt to deal some decent damage to him. "Kamina, try to get in the way of that attack," I say to Kamina, knowing that a fire attack wouldn't do that much, if any damage given that 1.) we're underwater, 2.) Kamina's a water type, and 3.) Kamina's also a fire type. Kamina would probably be able to intercept the attack, given that somewhat fast underwater, and he's probably more than willing to, as he seems to be the most, um... determined? Energetic? Caffeinated? Well, one of those words might describe him, and any one of those three would work in this situation. I wonder... if this is what he's like as a magikarp, what's he going to be like as a gyrados? I think as I remember that his evolution should be happening pretty shortly... maybe even after this battle.
[Bonnie]

I was fairly certain that this wasn't the home of a fighting-type, but before I could say anything, a glint from the sunlight hitting something shiny caught my attention, and I hopped over to the left, and towards the glint. I notice a few pokecoins and a family painting under them. The painting wasn't too special, just some stuck-up serperior family, though, a couple of them looked oddly familiar. The two snivy in the picture... one of them reminded me of that old explorer, Vine, though, he looked weaker and less mature in this painting, and the other one... I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but somehow that other snivy looked familiar. That being said, I haven't met any normal-colored snivy, so, I had no clue why this one would look familiar to me. After probably taking too long to figure out why that snivy looked familiar, I hold up the painting, and quickly put the monry in my bag, and after that, say "Well, I think this painting here kinda confirms that there are no fighting types here. See? Just a bunch of grass types, and not even grass types that are also fighting types, either," I then continue my search for things this family might have left behind. They were serperior, so, they were probably rich, and probably left behind a bunch of money... right? I mean, heck, I already found some just lying next to some old painting, there was bound to be more. As I continued my search, I started to think about what I was going to spend that money on... my mother used to spend her money on things like berries and seeds, or apples, probably just to keep us all fed, and I didn't even want to think about my father, so, maybe that? But... we don't need THAT much money for stuff like that, right? I then look over to see that Tini fell, but somehow made it up here. I didn't know what to say to him, so I just gave him a smile.
[Anthony]

Well, the good news was that someone was working to bring light to this place, but, the bad news? Well... another hypnosis beam was fired, this time at Daniel, and unfortunately, he couldn't dodge, and was put right to sleep. My teammates were dropping like flies, and I couldn't do anything to help. Man... I wish I bought a chesto berry back at the shop... I think as I look around for any possible sign that he might be around. I manage to see Daniel, and notice that he seems to be struggling in his sleep, just as badly as Terra was before the thing used nightmare on her. I prepare to counter an attack, and thankfully, one finds its way to me. A feint attack hits me, and I manage to successfully counter the attack, apparently doing a decent amount of damage to the enemy, whoever he was, as another scream of pain indicated. Another raspy cough, and the thing says "Please... let me eat... I'm so hungry..." in that same voice that made him sound almost dead. If he was so near-death, how the heck was he kicking my team's rear end so easily, and how the heck was he so evasive if he was starving? These questions kept me from believing that the thing was just some poor old pokemon who was in need of food and water, and kept me thinking of this thing as some sort of evil monster that feeds on dreams, or something like that. The mystery pokemon then sends one of those hypnosis beams my way, but thankfully, his attack wasn't as accurate as it was previously, and it just missed, flying just to the right of me. "Th... that was close," I say, somewhat frightened of what might happen to me if that thing ever hit, and sent me to the same torturous environment as Terra and Daniel... I don't know if I'd last too long if I ended up sleeping and having one of those nightmares.

As Celina saw the attacks towards everyone, and then growled before moving quickly to the vulpix. She had a idea right now, a bit dark.... but still. She quickly strike the vulpix at full speed with the chains, before trying to wrap it using her chains, attempting to lift it in the air, and possibly holding the vulpix hard, attempting to make it flinch from pain and maybe make the charmeleon see this and attack her or stay there in fear, hoping for the last part. It might be a darker kind of attack, but they were causing so much trouble, that she knew that she needed to do something. A way to weaken the damage that the 2 of them would do to the group. She was still ready for another attack, and if she were to miss her catch, then she could always damage the vulpix enough with this. She just hoped that Spruce would be alright and not fall from all this. She did not want him to get hurt too much after all. That feeling of love.... She did love him, and she was pretty sure he seemed to love her also. She sighed to herself.

Kamina

The Magikarp didn't even need Spruce to tell him to intercept the Fire Type attack, that was something he was planing on doing himself. Jetting over to the flame, he turned so that it hit his side "hah! Your fire can't even scratch me normally, let alone down here! I've been hurt worse from Remoraid's ramming into my body" the sad thing was that he wasn't exaggerating, he was speaking from experience. "The two of you are out matched! Surrender the crystal now!" The way Kamina saw it; the Vulpix and Charmeleon were woefully unprepared for this. In fact, he was surprised that they even managed to get the crystal in the first place. Underwater, their fire attacks would be severely weakened, as demonstrated when one of them hit Spruce. His little Grass friend didn't seem to take too much damage from it, and if the loss in power was great enough to overcome a type advantage, then it would do nothing to someone who had a 4x resistance to it, and he was right. The Flamethrower hurt as much as a light pinch. To someone with a pain threshold as high as Kamina, an attack like that was indeed nothing

Tini

Having quickly regained his energy , Tini followed Bonnie to the strange paintings. As she was discussing them, something occurred to the little guy; he had no idea what was going on "um" he rose the tip of his tail into the air and shook it a little, like someone with an arm raising that to get attention "I think I should have asked this earlier, but; what's our adventure? You said that these paintings mean that there aren't any Fighting Types here, just Grass. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

It wasn't long before Daniel was met with the same fate as Terra. Now both of them were stuck in a nightmare so horrible it was physically hurting them. Another Hypnosis narrowly missed Anthony, who was arguably the only one who could do any real damage to him. If he got hit, it would be over for them.
"Oh! Is that what I think it is?" Matt said. "It may take me a while to light this. Not to worry, though. We should have light soon enough."

Josh heard what sounded like two rocks being crashed together. As he looked back to where Matt was, he could see sparks, which he assumed was Matt trying to light a torch, or something.
"How long do you think that'll take?" He asked.
"I've done this many times before. It shouldn't take too long."

The dim light coming from Matt's screens was their only light source, and at this point they began to fade away, until they had disappeared completely. They didn't have much light coming off of them, but they allowed Josh to see his teammates. Now there was nothing but darkness all around them, and if he fired attacks into the darkness like he'd been doing before, he risked hitting Hex or Anthony. On top of that, they no longer had the defense boost that the screens provided.

Thankfully, the room was filled with a much brighter light moments later. Matt floated back towards the group with a torch in his hand.
"This should give us enough light." He said as he used Reflect once again, re-creating one of the barriers that had just faded away.
Now that they had light, they could finally see Darkrai. Josh fired a Water Gun at him, and had no trouble hitting him now that he could see.

"Well, Tini, our adventure if to catch this bad guy who was mean to this kirlia. Uh... he also beat Samuel up. And I don't think Samuel would have just ditched us without even telling us where the heck he's going," I say. "He is sorta spontaneous though." I look at the picture. "Not here then. Might as well take the picture. Dunno, though, it really doesn't have a use to us, but really nothing here does," I say as I look around. The place was covered in vines. I hear something hit a tree nearby, and I say "Uh oh, maybe they do still live here. I mean, they could just have been away for a minute, and we're intruding," as I take a quick look outside.

It looked like we were going to die, again. And we would probably die in a painful way, since my attack turned into lasers, fire somehow worked underwater, and the light possessed electric abilities. I was wondering why we hadn't turned inside-out. "Why do we keep facing off against stronger-" Bam, flames underwater, like I said. It did hurt, and quite frankly, I was left pretty hurt by the attack, since flames and metal often didn't go well together. I sunk a little before rubbing soot out of my eye, wiping my magnet against the side of my bubble.

"Oh, you sly fox!" Pun not intended. Underwater, things were getting bad - there were strange noises associated with large metal structures bending, physics was getting more and more contradicting, the sound of both underwater was concerning... but, for some reason, we were sticking around to fight some oddly-powerful thieves. So, shaking my magnet, I pointed it at the damn fox and let off another laser attack. I was interesting to use, but my aim was terrible, and so I needed the chain effect of lightning.

Well, at least I managed to pretty much punt the fox towards a wall. The laser was non-lethal for some reason, but boy; it was a fist going at the speed of light, (somehow) leaving a smoking hole in a spiraling wall. I broke the chains Celes set up (accidentally), but at least the fox seemed rather dazed and wouldn't move soon.

"Yeah, sorry. My aim's terrible." I relaxed for a little bit, although I had to flick my magnets into position once I realised we still had a Charmeleon trying to kill us.

Apparently, the vulpix used another fire attack without anyone noticing, as the moment I turned around to talk to M, he was rubbing soot out of his eye. I blinked and missed him shooting some sort of powerful attack back at the vulpix, forcing her into the void... and leaving only one pokemon to fight us. Celes had also recently stunned said vulpix with another set of chains, and I expected the charmeleon to be a little bit more concerned... but, no, he seemed determined. An almost Kamina-like determination, if you will, no, he wasn't weaker from losing his partner... he wasn't stuck fighting us, to him, we were stuck fighting him. The charmeleon's determination showed the moment he ran up to my team, and pulled off three consecutive slash attacks, aiming for Celes, Kamina and I... and, well I can at least say that it hit me, leaving me with only a sliver of energy. "Th... this isn't going quite as planned..." I manage to say, turning to face Celes, who seemed hurt, as well. No! Not Celes, too! This has to end... NOW. I wonder... I think as I continue looking towards Celes, but this time, not with a look of fear, but one that might communicate that I had a plan. "Celes... can you try using those light chain things again? Just bring them up... I'll handle the rest," I ask her, though, I still sounded somewhat weak from all the damage I already took in this fight, I wasn't quite ready to give up... even if that might have been the smarter option. No... I could feel it... that void bomb move that I used back in Gabriel's Dojo... I felt as though I could use it again. Sure, he'd resist, but I still felt that it might just deal some kind of decent damage... and if I also used Celes' light chains, maybe as a means to continually slam the Void Bomb against the charmeleon... maybe we could make it out of this.
[Bonnie]

"Well, William, you never know what these residents might have been dumb enough to leave behind, bu-" my explanation was cut short by someone rudely slamming against some nearby tree. William somehow thought that it might be the previous residents, and while it wouldn't make sense for them to keep their house in this condition, I decided to follow him anyways. Somehow, I ended up out of the tree, first, and saw an aipom slamming its tail-fist against some tree just to the left of ours... for some reason. A few berries promptly fell off of the tree, and the aipom scooped them up and started eating as if he hasn't eaten in weeks, or something. Well, I guess that answers my question, then. I think as I try to get closer to the purple monkey, who, as soon as he noticed me, screeched at me, apparently using astonish... well, I only really know the second part because I flinched from the attack, leaving me open for a scratch, which thankfully didn't do as much as I thought it would. As soon as I get a chance to attack, I do, with frustration, which didn't seem to leave the aipom with too much energy. Another scratch, and I decided to wait on the others instead of attacking, they deserved some of the experience from this fight, too, right? As I was waiting I took a few more attacks, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle on my own. "Hey, William, Tini, either of you two want to finish this guy off?" I ask, though I had to kind of shout, as they seemed somewhat far, or at least, weren't listening to me for some reason or another.

As Celes took the last attack from that charmeleon, she looked weakened, but she was not done yet.... As she looked at Spruce, seeing how much he was damaged, she was worried before hearing what Spruce was asking. She then saw the charmeleon about to attack Spruce once again with Slash. That was enough for her. Enough of this guy attacking everyone... enough of that guy going and hurting her beloved Spruce. She quickly rushed forwards before having her chains out and actually catching the charmeleon's claw with her chains and then throwing him back at full force, anger in her eyes.
"Hurting my friends, disrespecting the peace of the ocean, targeting my... love." she says, her eyes with a new kind of anger, energy surgeon inside of her.
"I will not let him or anyone else get hurt here.!" she says, before her body started to glow full white. A bright light was forming around her, as... her body was changing! Celes was evolving! Ribbons started to form around her neck, her tail started to change as well as her starting to grow in size. After that the light dimmed off, revealing Celes who was now a Sylveon. Though she seemed more in anger right now then anything, not caring too much about her having evolved, especially into something she actually never heard of.
"I have enough of you!" she yells, letting her white chains form as she attacks the charmeleon in renewed anger.
"Spruce.... Whatever your plan is, best if you go and do it." she then says, her chains keeping the hits as the Charmeon tried to dodge and get a attack towards Celes, her ribbons flowing in the wind. Celes was literally blinded by anger and the sense of wanting to protect those she cared about at all cost.

Tini
"Oh, oh, me!" Tini jumped at the chance to be helpful and do something adventurey (yes; adventurey is now a word. Deal with it) Slithering into position, he let off his attack "Fairy Wind!" he cried out, as the minty smelling yet painful breeze flew from him to the Aipom . "Fear my minty might and tremble...TREMBLE YOU BULLY!!!" Right now, all that Tini know about this strange Pokemon was that it had attacked his friend unprovoked...and that was all he needed to bring down the metaphorical thunder "Fairy Wind!" he fired another blast "taste minty justice!"

Kamina
Kamina was overflowing with wonderful feelings "the power of their love has made her evolve. I...I never expected to ever see such a glorious sight" Had they not been underwater, you would have been able to see his great manly tears. "The love those two share...it's too beautiful for words." As much as he wanted to rush in there and show that nasty Fire Type what ho, he held back "this is their fight now. Getting involved would be trampling on what their love has done"

Suddenly, morale boost. I was quite happy and contempt, if not awed by Celes. Suddenly, our losing streak had taken a turn, and we were beginning to kick ass.

"Hell yeah! Let's take him down like a horse then!" Now, we didn't need to retreat. We just had to stand our ground and finish off that Charmeleon. Not even our previous defeats and Davis' betrayal could sadden me at this point. Everything was coming up our way, and by Arceus it was golden. I could already imagine beating the shit out of that Charmeleon, and if stuck by our morals, we'd probably just... I dunno, beat him half-way to hell. We had already knocked out one of the two Pokemon, and I was pretty desperate for a win in this world of pain.

...what did I usually do again? It involved mercy, but frankly the world's not the same. Never was, never will.

"Alright, let's do it!" And with that, I watched the Charmeleon move around, before doing my own thing: I banged my magnets together like thunder, creating... well, a blast wave instead. A yellow laser underwater in this zone instead became a yellow orb of... well, slowly-shifting explosion. Assuming you could catch up to the speed of it, of course.

After Celes evolved, much to my surprise, and then used her light chain move again, I grabbed the chains, and formed a Void Bomb in front of me, grabbing that with the chains. I then proceeded to smash the charmeleon with my Void Bomb attack repeatedly, occasionally making sure to hit him with the chains as well. I don't even know how many times I hit the guy with that attack, but, on the last one, I made sure to smack him into the abyss that he created. The charmeleon dropped the Void Crystal before flying into the abyss, courtesy of my new, temporary hammer. I finished my attack, and dropped down to the ocean floor, too tired to move, yet, energetic enough to speak. "The void crystal... he dropped the thing... place it where it belongs," I manage to say before falling down on my face due to exhaustion. I still had a bit of energy left, and I noticed Kamina, and added "Thanks, everyone..." after that, I couldn't really do anything but see the destruction that the charmeleon and his vulpix cohort caused in their... well, I'll assume it was greed. The oddity, I'll just call it that until I come up with a better name, was an affront to every law of gravity and nature that existed. There were giant landmasses dotting the area, and floating or obeying some twisted laws of physics, and acting as both a floor and a wall, or, at least, that's what it appeared to be doing, of course, not to mention the strange stone and or steel structures that occupied this oddity. Only some of them were actually in the ground, and only some of those floors were actually on top of the previous floor, which made for some strange-looking, and probably even evil-looking buildings. I honestly hoped that returning the crystal will solve this mess, and make it normal again.
[Anthony]

Thankfully, light eventually came to the basement, revealing a really skinny, and almost withered-looking Darkrai in front of me. "P...please... I need... to escape..." he pleads with me in that same raspy voice as usual. I shake my head, saying "I won't fall for your tricks, Darkrai!" Knowing that he was probably capable of illusions, or some other trickery that he might be using to make us help him out. I prepared to use counter again, but... no additional attack came. Instead, Darkrai flew out of the door, forcing me to try and fail to follow him. I did manage to catch a glimpse of him escaping, and once I made my way over to one of the houses, I saw him, in what I now know is a resturant, with a giant order of food... or... what used to be a giant order of food. "Alright, you've had your food, now, prepare yourself, Darkrai, I'll be the one to take you down!" I shout, in an attempt to intimidate him. "Hm?" He simply asked. I then answer "The fight, remember?" Darkrai simply shrugs, and I am somehow joined by a now-awake Terra and Daniel. "Hey, weren't you two in some sort of evil nightmare?" Terra nods, and answers "Yes, I was. It was one where I enter this exact town, was immediately shouted at by the elder, and then thrown down into the basement with no escape and no food... sound familiar yet?" I look off to the side, and Daniel adds "I had the same dream... maybe he wasn't really trying to hurt anyone, he was just trying to get out of here," but... Darkrai was the greatest evil, the one obviously evil pokemon... right? Something didn't quite add up here, if he was supposed to be a great, evil pokemon.

Celes breath deeply, still having anger in her, before going down to where the crystal was, and then grabbing it with her ribbons. She then looked at the so called ribbons. She.... she had evolved.... and this was not as a espeon or umbreon, or any other eeveelution she knew about.... At least that her familly knew about. These things made her think about the ghost she had seen, with the ribbons... DId she.... did she change into sometime like that? A ghost? No... she did not look like this.... She was pretty much alive. And evolving from the feeling she had for Spruce.... She quickly rush in the chaos, crystal in her ribbons, and then attempting to place the crystal back where it belong, hoping to be able to do this, feeling a new rush of energy inside of her. She had difficulty a bit moving, but felt like she could do it. Soon she got to where the crystal was, she placed it on the shrine, before quickly moving away, trying to get near Spruce, trying to help him back up.
"Spruce... are you alright?" she says, hoping everything would be alright. She looked at the charmeleon and the vulpix, growling a bit.
"We will need to bring them back to be sure they would not cause us trouble again and interrogate them." she then says.

The light revealed Darkrai, who seemed to be starving to death. Almost immediately, he ran out of the basement, with Anthony pursuing him. Matt and Josh followed close behind them, and saw that Darkrai had headed straight for a nearby restaurant.
"Well, that was a strange turn of events." Matt said as Terra and Daniel came up behind them. After they'd both explained what happened in their nightmare, it was clear what actually happened.
"Well, I guess this mission's over, then." Josh said. "Let's get that cure for Blaze, then get out of here."
These past four days had felt like 7 months. Josh was glad that it was finally over.

I get back down to the ground and walk over to the Aipom. Tini used some weird fairy move, and I use Confusion on it. It hits, but the Aipom isn't punching itself in the face. Maybe it's a little smarter than your average Aipom. I use Confusion again, and it gets knocked out. I look back at everyone else. "So, mission one; find that scrafty. Mission two; find Samuel," I say as I begin to walk into the forest. I walk through the thickets of trees and occasional vine or low-hanging branch, and I see a hint of orange for a second. "I think that's him!" I say, running towards him. He hears me, turns around faster than I could react, and uses High Jump Kick. "Eeek!" I squeal as I duck down and cover my head. He missed and hits a tree. "Hah! You missed!" I say, walking up to him as he regains his senses and I slap him across the face and then use Fury Swipes. "So, you wanna fight and have us drag or teleport you back to the guild, or do you want to just go the easy way and not be up to your crest in trouble, mister?" I ask, and he grumbles. "Old man, you don't tell me what to do," and I retort "I'm actually just about... uh... thir-- no, twenty four," and he spits at me. I squeal as my left hand gets burnt by the acid. I slug him right in the stomach, making him double over. "I insist that you stop this tomfoolery, and just come back to the guild," I say, preparing another Feint Attack.

Kamina

"Ha, ha! Victory" Kamina cheered "as expected; good triumphed over evil!" To Kamina, this was as clean a victory as could possibly be achieved; nobody died, all the bad guys were beaten up, the evil plot was foiled, and one of his teammates even got powered up via the power of love. Honestly, not only did he consider asking for anything else selfish, but he wasn't even sure what else he could possible want out of this. "Ah, such a thrilling adventure. That's just what I needed. Now all that's left to do is bring these two back to face judgment. If needed, I could tow them back to the surface myself"

The world was weird. Anything could happen, from sudden deaths to resurrections, to even witnessing the spice of life. Maybe both, though as far as I'm concerned, that's only happened once...

So yeah, the world was weird. The structures looked frozen in time, seemingly stopping growth and inversion after Celes placed back the void crystal on its pedestal. There was something awfully familiar with these structures... they were giant monoliths, with glass all around and with metal frames. Some were missing chunks and leaning at impossible angles, some had looked like their top half was ripped straight off. Coloured metal boxes kept moving forwards, only to repeat the same movement with the... wheels or something underneath, as if resetting. Strangest of all, the water around was warmer than usual, if not a bit... windy? There was something very creepy about that place, whether that be 'corruption' of the world or something more sinister. It was probably sinister, since I saw bright flashes occur in the distance. Not like light, but... clouds, almost going at the speed of light, only to vanish upon getting a good look at them. The place was almost sickening, literally, despite the lack of anything remotely organic. Quite familiar... maybe Davis would have an idea on what was all this.

Regardless, we had nearly killed the duo. That was all that mattered. "Right then. Let's bring those bastards back to the guild. Thankfully, we're not the ones nearly dead this time." And so, taking off my badge, I had indented a button intended to teleport us back to the guild. I was hoping that the darn corruption wouldn't screw up the badge, or worse. "Ready when you say so, guys."
