1. It's Mario. Keep it PG, guys. Most of us our old enough to handle this stuff, but the Mario kingdom isn't meant to be a place of sex and gore. This isn't the place for it.
2. Similar rules about Romance. Romance is acceptable, but I'll trust that you can use your own discretion and that I don't have to hand hold you through your romance subplot. This is Mario, remember that.
3. If any disagreements come up consult me about it. I'll try my best to solve any disagreements and be the best mediater I can.
4. Try to avoid power gaming if possible. The truth is, while our characters can be smart, quick, clever and strong, our enemies are powerful and most mushroom kingdom denizens are not combat trained. Create a character with room for growth.
5. If you have questions let me know. There are some aspects of this RP I may have not quite pieced together yet and appreciate people pushing me in the right direction.

Techniques:
Shell Spin - Harry launches forward in his shell, going quite a distance and dealing moderate damage, bouncing off of his opponent.

Bone Throw - Harry throws a bone in an arc that deals mild damage.

Undead Unrest - Harry can release an unholy screech, temporarily deafening everyone near him for a short amount of time.

Detached Death - Harry can detach and (up to a certain range) control all of his limbs.

Brief background history: After waking up in a grave on the outskirts of Toad Town and no memories, Harry took his name from the half of his tombstone he could read, and left for Toad Town. He grabbed a local news paper, saw that the kingdom was in need of some heroes, and gladly decided to help (As long as he could take some of the credit.)

Techniques: [Vergil used three items, a Hammer he wields in his left hand, a Boomerang he throws with his right and kendo stick he grips in his mouth laterally.]

V - Vergil will make a shell spin, but let the kendo stick poke out of his shell to bat and ward off attacks while he moves.

Vergilance - Vergil will throw his boomerang at his target. It will spin so fast that it will conjure up a small whirlwind while travelling. When the boomerang hits the target, they will get thrust up into the air by the suction of the whirlwind. This attack will travel forwards and then return, requiring it to be dodged twice.

Vergilante -Vergil will pounce up and smash his hammer into the target. Vergil will hit them with so much 'hammer force' that the target will temporally get planted into the ground. If Vergil is hitting the ground, he can cause a fracture in the surface and cause a part of the ground to avalanche or break away.

Maximum Vergil - Vergil will launch himself at the target with a full tackle in mind will spinning. As he spins he will hit the enemy with each of his three tools (Hammer, Boomerang, Kendo stick). This is Vergil's "Ultimate Attack". After successfully hitting a target with this, there is a moment of time, about 5-10 seconds in which a random Guqin Zither solo will play as both Vergil and his target are standing ten feet apart with Vergil in a 'post-move' post

Brief background history: Vergil is a rebel to the Bowser Kingdom. He defected long ago when his dad fought with the Mario bros to defend one of Bowsers many airships. After being defeated and being spared by the brothers, Vergil's Dad was fired by the Bowser Empire and then jailed as a traitor for not completed his mission. Wanted to free his dad and all the other political prisoners of the Bowser Kingdom, Vergil went rogue, relinquishing his usual Hammer Bros. gear and donning a blue neckscarf spreading 'propaganda' throughout the Kingdom pertaining to the personal bad habits of Bowser and his family to try and incite the people to overthrow him.

Personality: Mysterious, Cryptic, and a little Eccentric. Merli is always curious and is a seeker of knowledge and adventure.



Brief Background History: Merli awoke east of Toad Town one day with no memories of what he was. Not knowing who or what he was, Merli began to wander. With nowhere to go, Merlon took him in as he had fallen near Toad Town. Merli was able to learn magic from Merlon thanks to what he was, but no matter how hard they tried they were not able to restore Merli's memories, Merli being a name Merlon had given him. Eventually after many years, Merli had gone out on his own journey as Merli was inspired by the great Hero Mario, believing that if Merli went on a journey then he, or she, could possibly grow strong like that and regain those lost memories. Coming back from that journey, Merli discovered that Mario was missing. Wanting to save the Kingdom, Merli figured he could do what he could to help and hopefully the journey would let him recall those lost memories.

Appearance: Merli never takes off the robe, so it is unclear what Merli actually looks like.

Race: Yoshi

Personality: Energetic, Loyal, Naive

Techniques: Yoshis are generally very quick and good at jumping long distances, but they are poor at vertical jumping and very much lack in upper body strength. Generally Yoshis fight with a combination of kicks, head butts and tail slams, occasionally throwing in some egg and tongue based techniques for good effect. DJ is a quick runner who can deliver powerful blows if given enough space to move, but he lacks technical skill and can be exceptionally clumsy in tight and confined spaces. If he isn't careful his speed can be his own downfall just as readily as his opponent's.

Brain-Bruiser: DJ has an exceptionally tough skull and a nose capable of absorbing the impact. He can slam his tough noggin down on an enemy with differing levels of impact depending on how fast he is moving. Often he will combine this technique with speed in order to deal great damage, but he has to be very careful with this ability. If DJ misses, his head will have a blind date with solid ground and he will damage himself. Worse yet, he could try this technique on a shelled Koopa or a Beetle and risk knocking himself out completely. This is a high risk high reward technique that can cause some serious damage enemies and DJ alike.

Yolk-Bomb: Another rather straight forward ability. DJ can swallow objects whole in order to create an egg. He then will throw it at you, because getting hit in the face with an egg hurts. This ability can do anywhere from none to medium to high damage, depending on the quality of the item he swallowed in order to create the egg. Swallowing a koopa shell makes the egg more durable, swallowing a fire flower makes it burst into flames, and swallowing a mushroom causes it to restore health instead. This is a very adaptive and unique ability, but it can also be incredibly expensive on resources. Most of the time DJ will just swallow rocks to produce eggs because powerups ain't cheap, yo.

Brief background history: DJ can only be described as a roamer. DJ's egg was discovered buried in the sandy beaches of the mushroom kingdom, and since then he has never seen the lush forests of Yoshi Island nor has he been properly conditioned by other Yoshi. He was adopted by a family of koopas who raised him to be a good kid, but he quickly grew restless of the simple lifestyle they lead and set out on his own. Since then he has done nothing but travel, roaming from village to village looking for his calling. He would never spend more then a week getting to know everyone in each town before setting off again. He's a bright and cheerful spirit but utilimately he feels lost.
DJ's most recent stop is Toad Town. Surprisingly he hasn't brought himself around since he heard of how used to routine the townsfolk are, but with the recent trouble he decided to check it out. There was something about a high activity high trouble situation that makes him determined to help out.

Paralitounge: If Dusty licks you, your paralyze for around 30 seconds.
Brief background history: Dusty doesn't remember much of its life before death. It's first memory is of DJyoshi walking around its graveyard. It started to follow DJ, pulling pranks on him and others, untill Dj finally caught him. Dusty was terrified, he didn't know what was going to happen. DJ just laughed, At this point Dusty was a boo with a D on his hat, so Dj desided to name the startled boo Dusty. They have been buddies ever since.

Race: Goomba

Appearance: Jin is a blue Goomba, from the same ilk that is usually patrolling sewers and other dark, underground passages scattered about the Mushroom Kingdom. Jin is different from the others, however, keeping most of his body wrapped in a dark shroud of a cloak complete with a long, flowing muffler scarf. A curved, short-bladed sword is always seen strapped to the Goomba's back, serving as his primary weapon of choice and in his own words, his "only true ally". Under his shroud, Jin hides the wings of a Para-Goomba, preferring to keep that fact a secret from everybody except those he deems worthy of his trust.

Personality: Despite having served King Bowser in the past, Jin has no love for the Koopa King, and in fact would like nothing more than for the Koopa's blood to stain his blade. That's not to say that he doesn't hold any grudges against the intrepid Mario and Luigi, quite the opposite in fact. After all, many Goombas who were Jin's friends and family had met their end via the stomping shoes of the Mario Brothers, and so Jin's vendetta extends to them as well. However, it was the Koopa King's greed that forced the poor Goombas into their never-ending war against the Mushroom Kingdom and Bowser's own incompetence that constantly led to their continual defeat, thus it is the Koopa who bears the brunt of Jin's wrath. Otherwise, Jin is often quiet and reserved, content to remain in silence while others make the important decisions, his only real desire being to know who the next target will be, and whether they are connected to King Bowser or not.

Techniques: Being of the Goomba family, one would think Jin to be as slow and cumbersome as his kinsmen, but they would be wrong. Jin is shockingly fast and agile, his Goomba legs and feet able to move him about the battlefield as quickly as a runaway Koopa shell. His wings, should he use them, can propel him upwards, effectively flying at his leisure. But Jin is no bird, and his flights are by no means indefinite, as the size of his body compared to his wings only allows them to lift his body for so long before they tire out and need a rest. Jin, like just about all Goombas, possesses the mysterious ability to pick up and wield objects as if he had hands, despite very clearly not having any. When wielding his sword, Jin prefers quick strokes that come in rapid succession, as he finds most opponents have greater difficulty defending against such a quick onslaught, though the rapid speed of the attacks do subtract from the strength of the individual swings and vice versa. Finally, Jin can resort to a shadow illusion technique wherein he conjures duplicates of himself to surround and confuse the enemy while Jin himself strikes once their guard is down. The duplicates can move and even speak but are unable to do any physical harm, and are individually dispelled by being attacked, and can all be simultaneously dispelled should the real Jin take a hit and lose concentration.

Brief background history: Jin was born from a clan of Dark Goombas that inhabited the caves and sewer systems of the Mushroom Kingdom. Knowing that their kind was generally weak, they used these underground areas to hide from enemies and predators, using the darkness of the passages to hide and become masters of stealth. When King Bowser began recruiting Goomba and Koopa tribes to his cause, he made sure to seek out Jin's clan, having heard of their mastery of stealth and hoped to have them use it to launch ambushes and assassination attacks on the likes of Mario and Luigi as they came to the Princess's rescue. They were unwilling at first, but Bowser was able to threaten them into joining his forces, and of course from there they suffered defeat after defeat at the hands of the Mario Brothers, many dying from being stomped by one of the Brothers' signature jump attacks. Over time, Jin grew embittered toward the Mario brothers due to the tragic losses of his family and clansmen, but also increasingly disgruntled at having to serve a tyrant like Bowser. When the brothers mysteriously vanished, Jin took it as a sign that now was the time to cut whatever remained of his loyalties to Bowser, and finally do what he should have done ages ago: kill the Koopa King, and liberate his Goomba kinsmen from his tyrannical and idiotic rule.

• Mega Epic Dive Attack! --- Pretty much the same as the aforementioned dive attack. When asked what the difference was, Kyle said “I do this one with Mega Epic style!”


• Super Shell Spin Smash --- Kyle goes into his shell, spins around, then smashed into his enemies with great force.


• So Awesome Signature Thumbs-Up --- Kyle’s signature move. With a twinkle in his eye on par with JJ Abrams’ lens flare, he raises his arm, giving the most perfect thumbs-up ever seen, complete with whooshing background.
