For a long time, Beacon Academy was said to be the best combat shool in all of Remnant. Legends were constantly emerging from its walls, their tales of victory spreading across the world like wildfire.

Because of this, Remnant entered a time of peace. However, with the significant decrease in Grimm hostility, and dispersal of the White Fang, Beacon was at a standstill.
Hunters and Huntresses were made, but with little to save or protect. Even the small villages beyond the four cities had a slight decrease in attacks from Grimm.

But where there is silence, lies a darkness that plots to wreak havoc. After many decades of what Beacon Academy called "The Calm," a sudden series of attacks had begun all over Remnant.

Villages had been laid to waist, special combat schools burned to the ground, but most importantly, airships en route to the Academy were demolished. It was an onslaught to any caught outside the walls of Beacon.

Even this legendary school, however, could not withstand what was to come.


An army of colossal sized Grimm waited patiently outside the walls and the sky turned black with new types of ariel creatures. They were watching, and everyone in Beacon Academy knew it. Fear struck deep into the hearts of most. Hunters and Huntresses prepared to defend, but were taken by surprise when numerous explosions echoed throughout Beacon. Many forms of Grimm burst through the rubble and smoke, and thus began the panic. Defending the school became pointless, each person fighting to survive the attack. Even that did not end well and those still alive were forced to escape.

With the headmasters special airship, he, along with a few students, and fewer teachers had made their way southeast. They were forced to defend against aerial Grimm that attacked them for several hours. Damage to the ship requested an immediate docking on a large island far to the southeast of all the kingdoms. Once landed, and the survivors on the mend, The headmaster scanned the surrounding area. Grimm were present, but non hostile. Without much for choice, Headmaster (I'll think of a name later) activated the secondary function of the airship. Within the hour, the vessel had transformed into a base. It carried much of the architecture of Beacon Academy, and much of its necessities. The size reflected that of a normal combat shool and its walls fifteen feet high. It would be here that Headmaster _______ would rebuild. And it started with a flip of a switch that would send out a signal to any survivors throughout the world letting them know there was a safe haven. A place where they could start a new. A place they would all soon call home.

Appearance- Ash is half wolf faunus with dark gray hair and olive eyes. She is of average height and is thin while slightly tone. While she is usually dressed for the season, Ash always wears a scarf around her neck and waist and other smaller scarves wrapped around her wrists.

Name- Ash

Age-19

Species- Faunus (Half wolf)

Aura Color- Grey

Semblance- Magnitude. This semblance allows ash to control the size of inorganic objects, making the larger or smaller depending on her needs. In order to use this ability she needs to make some sort of contact with the object, a link that will decay with time and require recontact.

Weapon- A series of scarves that have been named after the seasons. Each season represents it's corresponding element and is placed in different locations on her body when she is not in combat. Fall represents the wind and is wrapped around her neck, while spring represents earth and is wrapped around her waist. Summer and winter are wrapped around her left and right wrist and represent fire and water.

Other Equipment- Ash will often be seen with a small pack which she uses to store her free dust and sowing equipment, just in case her scarves become damaged during combat.

History- From a very young age, Ash was gifted with a curiosity for the world that many like did not posses. While other children where running in the safety of their parents sight, she was off in woods searching for the next answer. Every experience was important and only good things came for her adventurous nature, that is, until the day it didn't. When Ash was 10 she was out wandering the woods of Haven when a wild pact of beowolves surprised her from behind, nearly killing her in the first moments. While she thought she was destined for death, the moment it should have came was delayed by the appearance of an odd grim. The beast was a beowolf like the others, but a strange white substance around his body like armor, and he exercised a control that had yet to be discovered by other grim. The creature pushed her to her back and stared while she retreated under a family scarf in hope that hiding her face would make the creature disappear. The beowolf skewed his head then howled to the sky, taking all the grim with him as he ran off and left her to bleed out on the forest floor.

Not a day has past since her near death encounter that Ash does not think of the mistakes she made, nor the beowolf that she met that day. From then on, she sought out ways to protect herself, as well as joining academies to learn everything she could about the grim and special ways they behaved. Although she never discovered found the answers she wanted, Ash has found herself one step closer to unraveling the secrets of the grim, and yet another to finding the unique beast she met that day.

Personality- Ash has always been a driven person, and it's hard for other not to notice it. While not in spewing her ideas on those unwise enough to start a conversation, she is often found wondering around and sometimes getting lost. Often she forgets where is, but looks at it as another mystery for her to overcome. Although her interests has lead her away from others, given her a loner's deposition, she is not scared to work with others to accomplish her goals. She considers herself the most cunning hunter in ever room and will not hesitate to abandon another plan for her own.

Fighting Style- While nonthreatening at first appearance, Ash is was chosen for due Gram for her unique semblance and knowledge of dust. Her scarves are laced with dust and can summon the four elements at will. While each spell is understandably small, Ash uses her semblance to amply their potency, taking a physical tole on her the larger they become. While not using the dust from her scarves, she can also manipulate the size of the cloth, making them stretch great distances and and wrapping them around objects or enemies. This unique trait compensates for lack of a long range weapon and almost always catches her opponents off guard.

Name- Amon Drakion

Age- 18

Species- Human

Aura Color- Orange

Semblance- Repair: Amon can only activate his semblance for short amounts of times because of the amount of energy that the ability absorbs. For the length of just a few minutes he is able to cause his body to undergo rapid healing which allows him to stay in battles longer since the ability is able to heal small flesh wounds up to broken bones. The healing times can very depending on what type of injury he takes like for example if he has a broken bone it can take 50 seconds to a minute to heal while just cuts and bruises can take anywhere from just 10 seconds to 30 seconds depending on the depths of the wound. The down side to this ability is that it still requires the same amount of energy it would take to repair the wounds over time and even burns the same amount of nutrition within his body which forces him to have a large in take of food and vitamins through out the day.

Weapon- Protection and Rocket
He carries a large round spartan-like shield that is large enough to cover his entire torso when he bunkers down behind it. He crafted the shield with a spiral design engraved onto it which appears to have a faint glow coming off of it as it is filled with a type of dust when triggered can create explosions to repel attacks to a distance that allows him to use his spear effectively. He also created a leaf-headed spear with what appears to be cylinder chambers just under the spear head which are able to house dust that is used as a propulsion source to activate a system within the spear which allows it to shoot forward at high speeds and the spear is also able to fold up for easy storage.

Other Equipment- Has belts of ammo wrapped around his chest used for his shields and a small pouch that hangs from his hip with a pouch of cookies that he snacks on.

History- Amon was born into a family of farmers and grew up listening to the legends of the great hunters and huntresses that protected them from grim. He grew up wanted to become one of those legends and was so happy when he was finally able to go to combat school and than afterwards to Beacon before grim attacked.

Personality- Amon is a sort of goofy person who likes to just have fun and doesn't like to take anything seriously. He always enjoys meeting new people and does not enjoy being around people who are the kind of people who just seem to suck the life and fun out of everything. He can be easily distracted even in the heat of a battle and his greatest weakness is always a pretty girl who can catch his eye and he is the may even try doing something stupid to try and impress that girl.

Fighting Style- Amon is a defensive type of person who would prefer to deflect damage off of his shield and strike when he has an opportunity to attack. He tries to draw all the attention of himself and keep the enemies off of his teammates so that they can get their attacks in while he absorbs off of the incoming attacks.

Semblance- Vertical Teleportation
Nahbi can teleport either straight up or straight down. She typically uses this for evasion, getting some altitude on an attack, or dropping down heights that would be too dangerous to fall.

Weapon- Scatter and Flare


Other Equipment- A sack-like backpack for traveling, a whetstone, a cloth to clean her weapons, a water bottle, and various prepackaged sweets and pastries that she likes to munch on.

History- Nahbi chose to become a huntress because it sounds badass, plain and simple. She had a relatively easy childhood, safer than most of her peers' and free of much of the heartache that seems to define peoples' lives nowadays. Her family was affluent enough that they were able to escape to safety when the world seemed to be overrun with Grimm. Nahbi grew up watching the heroic deeds of hunters and huntresses on the news, and even took to playing "hunters and Grimm" with her two older brothers – though of course, the news reporters never covered the gruesome aftermath of battles they showed, or what happened when a huntress wasn't quite fast or strong enough to defeat her opponent. When Nahbi decided she wanted to be a huntress, her parents understandably shot the idea down. Her mom and dad were both very loving, if overprotective, and refused to even entertain the thought of their little girl fighting the monsters that haunted their dreams. Pouting and frustrated, Nahbi refused to let the issue drop, constantly bringing it up and even talking to her brothers about what sort of huntress she would be. When her parents discovered dual blades hidden under her bed, along with books explaining how to utilize aura, it was the last straw. The fight was grand and gruesome enough to rival those that Nahbi always saw on the news, and when it ended with her parents confiscating her swords, Nahbi knew what she would do. That night she packed her things, stole back her swords, and ran away to Gram, to officially start her training as a huntress and achieve her dream. She still writes to her family, though they're less than pleased with her. The only reason why she hasn't been dragged back home by her ear is because the trip is too dangerous for anyone sane to take.

Personality- Nahbi can almost always be seen sporting a wicked grin, and is very easily entertained. She's not always the easiest to get along with, what with snide remarks and sarcastic personality, but if she decides she likes you enough, you can be sure she'll stick with you through thick and thin – not that others tend to decide they like her. She enjoys messing with people, and is often too obtuse enough to read the situation and know when enough is enough. Nahbi's juvenile, falling easily into pettiness, but this also contributes to her child-like nature. She's a bit too naive for a world overrun by Grimm, and doesn't always seem to understand consequences or risks. Despite coming across as combative and snarky, she's actually very trusting.

Fighting Style- Nahbi uses dual blades combined with her aura, which are incapable of changing form. For melee battles, Nahbi uses them in tandem, using fast, spinning movements. She uses them as conductors for her aura for ranged attacks: when slashed, Scatter shoots out razor sharp arcs of aura, to either cut or blow enemies away, and Flare creates a line of spikes made from her aura when stabbed into the ground. Overall, her fighting style is hit first, hit hard, and do it with style.

Other- Nahbi likes butterflies. That's her thing. The windowsill in her room is lined with various butterfly figurines she's collected over the years, made of glass, metal, gemstones, wood, tissue paper… whatever she's managed to find, really. She likes figuring out new ways to fold paper into butterfly shapes when she's bored, and the meticulous nature in which she does so would surprise those who know her.

Appearance- 6’2 and nearly 200lb., though most people wouldn’t guess since his build is fairly lean and thin and his clothes are generally full-body.

Name- Lian Gias

Age- 19

Species- Human

Aura Color- Blue

Semblance- The Hunt. A curse-like Semblance, it can be applied by any extension of Lian’s body; namely his weapon in most cases. Upon realizing on an opponent, a small mark appears, but begins to rapidly fade away, disappearing within a minute at most. Additional uses of his Semblance don't stack, but each application does reset the duration. While in place, the enemy is marked as Lian's prey. He is strengthened when in pursuit or combat, but weakened if he attempts to flee.

Weapon- Blast Bicell is Lian’s custom Flail-Lance. In it’s storage form, it clips onto a hostler at the back of his waist. Fully extended, the weapon is about seven and a half feet in length. The massive lancehead can be fired outwards with a detonation of Dust, turning it into a projectile. Connected to the handle by a length (25m) of wire, its flight path can somewhat be guided. Once it comes to a stop though, Lian can still utilize the weapon for broad sweeping attacks that devastate Grimm in a wide area around him as the heavy lancehead is used in a fashion similar to a flail, but one with an absurdly long chain. As one would expect, the launch feature is also quite devastating if used on an enemy at close ranges.

Other Equipment- A thick travel cloak infused with Dust. It maintains a constant temperature as a result, and can keep Lian warm or cool as its temperature doesn't fluctuate too much.

A pack that holds his other possessions including food, spare Dust, clothes, etc. The Dust weaved into its material causes the pack and whatever it holds to become unnaturally light, reducing weight by about 25%.

History- Born to one of the few nomadic bands of humanity that survived outside of the four Kingdoms, Lians "tribe" roamed the lands near Vacuo. Their history was long, having survived despite the Grimm's attempts to wipe them out. Close knit and with a strong communal spirit, the Grimm were never drawn in large enough numbers to overwhelm the tribe's skilled warriors nor did they stay in one area long enough for it to happen.

His childhood, as a male child, was spent in training to prepare him for the task of protecting his people. Their curriculum may not have been as developed as those of prep Academies such as Signal or Sanctum, but it was effective just the same. He spent a long time learning various skills (first-aid, medicine, tracking, etc.) he would likely need before moving onto any sort of combat training, but there were no training wheels when he did. Lian? Pick up your weapon, and don't die.

The training didn't really ease up as it simply got easier when Lian didn't die the first few times. He went from fighting captured Grimm to hunting the creatures down and even participating in the defense of his tribe. He fought alongside his father, guardians, teachers, and peers. For years their lives were unchanged, but even their wanderings couldn't slow them to escape the Grimm. Driving off the attacks became harder as older, stronger specimen attacked for some reason. Morale and hope became hard to cling onto as villages the tribe had passed through before had now been reduced to ruins. Despair clawed at the tribe, hounding them as much as the Grimm themselves did.

Forced to flee by himself when the tribe finally fell, Lian ran with only his mother's gifts and the clothes on his back. Traveling by himself, he was able to handle the weak Grimm that were drawn to him. Though he had planned to journey to Vacuo the number of Grimm as he drew closer forced him to look elsewhere. Yet there was no elsewhere. Everywhere he tried only showed him destruction left in the Grimm's passing or Lian was forced to turn away as their numbers swelled. Hope began to fade when approaching even Beacon proved impossible, but he held on as he continued to search for somewhere he could go. And then the message reached him.

Personality- Independent, but protective nevertheless, Lian is sometime who tries to look out for those around him regardless of their relationship. Generally dependable, though more so in combat situations than social ones, he can be counted out to help out whenever asked to. At the same time Lian has a fairly light-hearted air to him despite what he's been through, and rarely tries force his opinions on others. He might offer advice he thinks is correct, but won't force others to take it.

He isn't particularly talkative, but even to strangers is not too hard to figure out his mood due to his expressiveness. In the same way, Lian is a fairly straight forward person who prefers to confront issues rather than dance around them.

Fighting Style- A Fighter or Bruiser, Lian is a front-line combatant who delves into the midst of melee. He isn't squishy and can take hits while hitting back just as hard. Meant to hold his ground and prevent the Grimm from reaching his allies. Isn't very effective against enemies with high range or mobility, though he'll likely tear them apart once he gets in range.

Other- While he's an accomplished survivor, he's not great with the newer technologies available in the Kingdoms. In the sane vein, he doesn't have much skill with working Dust or weapons beyond his own.

Fighting Style- Prefers long range. Once she has you in her sights, it's going to be very difficult to get out of it. When she's sniping, she shoots a target, then usually moves to another location so the enemy will not be able to pinpoint her exact location. If forced into short range, though, she is fast and nimble, always trying to keep her distance while firing at her target(s). This is especially true if she is using her semblance while fighting.
Other- She is nervous around dogs, or even Dog Faunuses (Faunii?).

Appearance-

Name- Olivia Blight

Age-18

Species- Human

Aura Color- Gold

Semblance- Queen of the Sky;

Weapon-

Griffin System; Less a weapon and more a specialized suit of armor, it consists of a chest plate that houses a dust powered core on its back. From this core branch two wings, made up of feather like blades that expel dust as a form of propulsion, allowing Olivia to take to the skies. Additionally, each bladed 'feather' can be detached from the main wing at will, capable of use as a weapon. Olivia also wears bracers and greaves in a style similar to the chest piece.

Excalibur; A thick double edged sword around 3/4ths as large as its wielder. It houses a dust powered generator in its hilt, which when activated, pumps a special blend of dust into the blade, igniting the edges with a hot burning blue plasma that increase its cutting power exponentially. Olivia is capable of launching 'waves' of this fiery dust or launching streams from the tip by swinging and thrusting respectively.

Other Equipment- A belt with several pouches, containing rations, basic survival tools, her Scroll and charge packs full of fresh dust for her sword and armor.

History-

Fighting Style- A unique style that incorporates heavy offensive maneuvers, focusing almost entirely on sword play and agility to overwhelm Olivia's opponents. She is entirely capable of fighting effectively while airborne, both against flying and ground based targets, the latter of whom she uses her superior mobility to dive bomb and harass while floating outside of their reaches.

Appearance- Arkos is large for his age, around 6'2 in height with around 215 pounds of muscle. His hair is kept buzzed but his eyebrows betray the color to be a dark blond.
Arkos' eyes glow slightly with a sanguine shine , a byproduct of his semblance or his aura none will ever really known. Finally his face seems to be perpetually either plastered with a frown or cracked with a wide smile with too sharp canines.

Name- Arkos Leantes

Age- 19

Species- Human

Aura Color- Sanguine

Semblance- Empower: When Arkos is calm he can empower his weapons, causing them to glow with heat. When active, Mars can cut through most substances with ease while Athena's bullets gain more penetration.

Weapon-
Mars: An axe that has been passed down from generation to generation, this weapon was used in "The War" and has ended many grim. Nothing too fancy however it has been crafted by masters and has weathered the test of time successfully.
Athena: A large pistol that fires bullets that explode when they enter basically anything. Changes into a machete when melee is a priority.

Other Equipment- Titan Armor: Like Mars, the Titan Armor has been passed down his family since "The War" and was built to last. Like the axe it has no special abilities besides its toughness.

History- Arkos' family have been warriors since the very beginning, fighting grim and whatever else needs battling. So for Arkos to become a hunter was really not a question but more of a requirement. However his family isn't the best one, imparting unreasonable expectations on the young Arkos since day one. His life has been dominated by training and fighting, robbing him of a "normal" childhood.

As he grew older, his training became harder and his trails even more trying. Eventually he stopped viewing his family as family and more like a group of people he needed to constantly prove himself to, not the best situation for a child. In the end he left and took Mars, Athena, and the Titan with him as he traveled away. It seemed like a good idea at first, leave the place that brought him torment but one thing he didn't count on was that he didn't know how to do anything besides fight. He couldn't even read.

And so he turned to the only thing he knew how to do and fought for cash. Taking any job he could, barely scrapping by. That is, until he met the pack. The pack was a small group of Beowolves, only about six members in total. They had been causing trouble and the village was willing to pay a hefty sum of money to get rid of them. It seemed like an easy job, he had taken out beowolves before and they weren't too hard.

After a about three days of searching he found them, but things quickly went downhill. These Beowolves were much larger and smarter than the ones Arkos had fought before. Arkos only killed two of them before they overwhelmed him. It looked like that was the end for him, until he was saved by a lone huntress traveling to a "new" Beacon. Realizing that he was not prepared for these new creatures, Arkos fallowed the Huntress to the new academy.

Personality- Proud, noble, and passionate. Arkos is a berserker through and through, letting his emotions rule his judgement. On the battlefield he is a silent storm of rage, internalizing it until he can release it in a shower of yelling and profanity. Outside of battle he is quiet and stoic, rarely saying much unless prudent. However this is not due to some vague code of honor, it's simply social ineptitude.

Fighting Style- Charging into battle head first, Arkos let loose a spray of bullets while running into the thick of it. Dominating his space with wide arking swings and garnering attention at himself while others put themselves into position.

Other- Arkos is illiterate.

One thing I am noticing with some of these characters is no obvious weakness to them. We all love to be OP, but if you guys can take something away from you characters to make them a little more beatable I think it will make a much better story in the long haul. For example, my character is the obvious mage class and thus she has horrible close range abilities besides the occasion grapple. Her use of scarves over normal weapons means she has no heavy defense and her attack power can be diminish by destroying her weapon or her running out of dust to weave into her fabric. I also expressed that there is a stress limit to her ability. If it helps, put in a weakness section like I've seen other rp.

REMEMBER! The more interesting and dynamic the character, the more likely we are to accept it!

Pathfinder, we are accepting, but this character is a little much, honestly. His semblance would be a danger to even his allies. Also, it would be impossible for anything to be made of Grimm bone, seeing as how they disappear just as soon as they are killed.

Semblance- I need some help with this

Personality-Nero is self-centered, egotistical, and over confident. Nero thinks he is better than everyone else when it comes to battle. And he can handle himself very well, but Nero tends to want all the glory.

Fighting Style- Nero is an duo wielding swordsman, he is amazing in close combat situations and is a very quick and hard to catch in battle.
Nero is bad in long range combat, this will hinder him in battle against ranged enemies. Nero is also a glory hog, he like to try and kill o fight all enemies by himself, just for the glory or satisfaction. This makes it hard for teams to work with Nero. When he is always doing thing on his own, that most of the time, can't be done.

Name- Grehn
Age- 18
Species- Human

Aura Color- Sea Green

Semblance- Fortify - Grehn is able to protect himself against numerous attacks by hardening his skin. Blades and bullets become useless against him, though he is still susceptible to things like dust. With his aura, this problem is taken care of... at a price. Grehn has also shown the ability to lend this power to those close around him, but this leaves himself vulnerable and in a weakened state. The more people he lends this ability, the more drained he becomes. He uses his aura to increase the distance in which his allies can go and still be blessed with fortify.

Weapon-
-The Twins
Grehn carries two dark green, short-barreled shotguns in holsters on each side of his hips. When he is wielding them, A shield unfolds from each of them and covers the length of his forearm. The range is lackluster, but they make up for it with the amount of power they produce.

- Big Papa
In the midst of battle, Grehn can transform The Twins into a single form which becomes his beloved dark green, winged shield. It is based on the design of his fathers old shield, with his own tastes incorporated. The shield is heavy, but with the combined power of The Twins, the it's blast power allows for slight mobility. These blasts come from the two barrels hidden in each wing where they connect with the large metal plate to which Grehn can hide behind. The wings of the shield provide enough coverage for three people to hide behind, and are long enough to stab into the ground for a sturdier stance.

Other Equipment- Numerous cartridges strapped to his thighs.

History- WIP

Personality- Grehn is used to having all the attention, especially when it comes to physical prowess. He is a fun kinda guy, and even views the battlefield as a playground. According to most adults, the adolescent is arrogant and selfish when fighting or sparring.

Fighting Style- Grehn is aggressive when it comes to battle, sticking to the enemy and keeping their focus on him. It is far less demanding to Fortify himself than to lend others his ability, as he can use it sparingly, only hardening his skin for a few seconds at a time if needed. The concentration that would require to perform on another would remove him from battle. Powerful blasts are usually enough to keep the attention of his enemy, but he has come to the realization that Grimm are becoming far to smart for that tactic. His shotguns, while short ranged, help him to cover more ground and cover his allies a little better. He refuses to fight ranged enemies or those that he is unable to catch. These are the times he stands back and waits... or protects.
