I agree with Wilson on this one. Having one nation contact all the others is a little unrealistic. At least this early on. And it wouldn't always be in the Unions best interests to befriend each and every species they had contact with straight of the bat. In fact, you're quite lucky that the two only openly and permanently hostile races chose to attack you first. Though this nothing wrong with choosing to be peaceful over violent. That definitely has lots of benefits

In regards to humans, I have a few ideas for my faction. This one is probably the most feasible, unless multiverse theory is fair game.

Since the origin of life on Earth is a bit blurry, if we were to presume that life was seeded on Earth by an asteroid or extraterrestrial, what if, by some chance, that same "seed" broke up and crashed into another, earthlike planet, resulting in the evolution of a species very similar to homo sapiens?

...yeah because having one or two small scout ships appearing next to a large fleet, next to a planet with 3 other alien powers, and appearing next to a planet with confirmed activity is having ships everywhere.

...Considering that those three alien powers, that one planet and the large fleet are all supposed to be so wide and separate that they can't discover each other on their own despite their advanced technology, yes I would say that that would be considered having ships everywhere.

So far, there's a lot of very human-like species in the RP so that alone is a shocking coincidence already. To clarify though, I don't think it's a problem at all -- and so I don't think it's a problem for someone to play other humans, as there's a lot of people(including myself) who are pro-human.

Although the likelihood of humans developing on a different planet with a completely different ecosystem and with completely different catastrophic natural disasters(ice ages, stuff like that)... Is really improbable. I think it's fair for a small part of humanity to disappear from Earth during their space fairing age to go their own separate ways. The only issue is you'd be extremely far back in population numbers, and well.. You get the picture.

Hey, guys, it's alright, Duck probably has the Infinite Improbability Drive and is simply using it to make all things improbable, possible at the moment it's thought up.

Meanwhile, I will now work on my Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy inspired app where mattresses are the main form of life on a swamp planet, thermonuclear missiles turn into a bowl of petunias and a sperm whale about 10,000 feet up in the atmosphere, and there is a magical land/planet called Magrathea where they build planets for luxury.

As much as I love to use the panspermia theory to justify humanoid aliens in my stories, it totally wouldn't result in anything like humanity at all. That being said, you can do that, just with a few modifications to the species. I'm talking Star Trek alien level modifications, so just give them pointy ears or something and it's all good.

Wilson stop for a minute, stop being a goddamn asshole and only targeting me.

Because you also have to remember, the current FTL system used by the Eternal Union is extremely fast, it may seem like their everywhere but there really not, its just that they can move around so fast it seems like that.

You're the only one that has found pretty much every very quickly, although you will not be able to say that the merfolkpeople is near you because they are WAAAY out of the way. And from what has happened so far, the Nouvellians are like a bridge between the areas that are occupied by the Valkians and the Convergence, and the other side with everyone else. Darkwolf's hiveminds are who-knows-where.

I'm not specifically talking about you because I don't like you, I'm talking about you because you're the only one doing it. Everyone else has been reaching blindly into the dark, and you have a half dozen clones with flashlights and hoverbikes.

Does this include three arms and two heads instead of two arms and one head being acceptable modifications?
Also, there will probably be a mix of regular humans, people resembling but not exactly being Nouvellians, probably Thor and some of them, among other strange creatures, in the Hitchhiker's-inspired app I'm writing up. See, the improbability is very high, but when the Hitchhikers get involved with thing, the space-time continuum gets f*cked with pretty badly. Just saying; they live off improbability. The improbility of there being humans with the nation is very very high, but nevertheless, it has happened. The improbability that titanium and mattresses grow up in a swampy world are insanely high, but nevertheless, they have it.

(I'm not actually making a Hitchhiker's inspired app, btw, it'd trump everyone else because of how difficult they would be to do anything)

Hey Wilson, expect a post tonight. Sorry, been having termite control on my house lately. Also, don't worry about Duck. Just convince the Convergence that Ducks people are bad and threaten the Esurienti's way of life. They'll call their brothers.

Not like this is metagaming either. If Wilson's people know of Ducks and dislikes them, currently the Convergence has no reason to not believe them.

Aye, and then there will actually be the beginnings of TWO sides, instead of one side with everyone, and then a lone independent antagonist or two.

Your faction has not meant the Eternal Union yet.

Also I don't see why its a big deal that im trying to contact everybody. The Eternal Union hasn't expanded far out of their borders, but due to the their FTL they have explored a lot and their ships are fast. Their ships are extremely far out.

And you have singled out me in the past and ignored others, I used the same concept but differently, which is what you are mad at me for, yet you had ignored the fact that Alpha had copied the same faction with very minor changes, and even Darkwolf copied his app from a different failed RP, yet you ignored that, purely because you hate me.

Duck does have a point, but still, if you guys are going to flare your dicks at each other do it in a PM, don't constantly single each other out in OOC since it's annoying, takes up space, creates drama within the whole RP and also has the chance of someone's post being skipped over in the midst of all the bickering.

I don't think he necessarily hates you Duck, more so, finds you an aggravating nuisance. While the OP was intriguing, I'm starting to regret even giving this roleplay a second thought. While everyone has decently made Nations it not only seems that you are the only one being unrealistic but causing unrealistic nature amongst the others. Tie that in with your past of what I' ve heard so far? May as well had the cars from Disney's cars in here, in space. Oh, don't forget to give them each nukes.

What I sense from you is a "I do it because I can." Don't worry, I know you don't outright attack everyone, but that's the problem. From what I've heard and scene, you don't do anything but wait until someone crosses you and pull out the jackhammer on their ass. You require a rushed scenario with an unlimited customization and every weapon possible to put down anyone who disagrees with you.

Worst part? You're best pals with the OP. Which pretty much allows you to make a carebear army if you wanted. This is Command and Conquer in space woth time increased ten fold ready and waiting for someone to make the wrong move and ahatter the declaration of an alliance just to pop them open.

I thought we were building Nations, not playing Russian Roulette, and we can't even have a chance to pull the trigger.

The things Wilson has told you about me happened over two years ago when I was still new to roleplaying, while I was like that before I'm no longer. I also have not been of capable of putting anyone who disagrees with me down, I have been defeated before, and hard.

I also may be friends with Key but he doesn't let me do what I want, he has warned and threatened me with hammers before, and if he did let me do what I want I don't think he would have suspended my mod powers.

And many of the things Wilson has excused me of he has done on a much greater scale. Like how he after me and Dark disagreed with him OOC he sent a OP fleet at me for war after we let him have a OP race for story purposes.

Edit: And calling me unrealistic for contacting multiple nations at once is fucking stupid.

With all of this discussion on wank, the prospect of OP war fleets and the entire focus of war instead of meeting, building nations, forming cultural exchanges and learning from each other I'm not sure if making the Alarai were a smart idea. ;w;

That aside, would anyone else like to make contact with the Pearl Fleet? I can easily say that they split off smaller bits into scout fleets sent on ahead while the rest of the fleet stayed with the slow moving Zhang He
