I've had a few cases where a guy doesn't show up to post. Even badgering him over his Steam chat to post didn't produce results. RP died before we could even get everyone to go off and do their own things. Letting everyone do whatever helps to identify those who'll commit versus those who won't.

This is why the group should just push on and persevere even despite people doing this. A good GM would set up a posting frequency and enforce it; and if a player didn't meet that frequency and thus leave the rest of the group in a lurch like this, the GM would continue to push the rp on and either control the player's character until the next opportune moment to remove them, kill them, or make them a general background NPC character that anyone could use and control. People will always drop out of rps no matter what which is why, no matter what the format of an rp is, the GM should and would be prepared for it.

I'm annoyed at myself im at a RP skill transition from high free to mid casual where I wright to much to slowly for free play, but I don't wright as much as the folks who wright in the casual rps that interest me, not to mention that any RP I join die within the month. (I also don't understand how people wright in advanced)

Another problem I have is with the site but its a minor annoyance where, in this case, I click the most recent reply and it takes me to page 36 of 35.

Don't be intimidated too much. A lot of them only require casual minimums (such as mine) even though people often post well in excess to that. Just focus on writing a high quality post rather than trying to match the lengths of them.

I applaud you stepping out of your comfort zone. That will help you improve the most. Feel free to check out my thing if you are interested in pushing yourself (link is in my signature).

I think that is due to a deleted post. I think the forum still takes that post into account, so that's why you see a page 36 of 35.

This is correct.

I have another complaint, over sensitive players are extremely annoying. First they can't seem to understand the concepts of mistakes or misunderstandings, then they bring their tantrums into the OOC instead of discussing their problems in a Private Message. This happened in two roleplays I was a part of and it really ruined the moods for them, one of them I left because of it. So yeah over-sensitive players really need to work on dealing with problems or misunderstanding in an rp

sometimes it seems like people take roleplaying way too seriously, it's all for fun, it's not a job or something you do to take care of yourself, it's just a hobby. When people make it an obsession then it seems to become toxic and ruins it for several people. hobbies are good and healthy but obsessions are not

It'd be nice to log in at least once a week on mobile and stay logged in, it is starting to get annoying to have to log in every. single. session.

It drives me insane that there are seemingly dozens of people on the site that simply float around and state interest in RPs without ever joining any. Their activity histories are a handful of interest check posts spanned over three months. One could argue that some of them are just making comebacks recently, but almost every RP I have started has had at least three such people with the same background. They artificially inflate the amount if interested users, so, believing it's appropriate begin the roleplay in earnest, I make an OOC that only ends up with a small handful of members. I have to repeat the recruiting process, but more desperately this time since the ship is barely staying afloat and it's infuriating. If you're going to be a Roleplayer Guild member, ROLEPLAY!

I think you're completely right. It seems like there are people whose sole existences are for that.

I blame it on having super low attention spans especially because of how things move so fast in today's world.

That or don't post in Interest Checks you don't intend to actually take part in.
I've barely RPed on this site for past several years, but I've stayed active in Off Topic, Spam, Members Lounge and occasionally Roleplay Discussion.

From my personal experience - and I don't really do the described activity often, I'm just playing Devil's Advocate and trying to think of a reason why someone might do this - I've stated my interest early on in an Int Check based on the concept, and then a bunch of new ideas have been added to the RP, and it's ended up with me doing a 180 with my interest in the RP, and not wanting to participate. That's happened a couple of times with me.
That said though, you'd have to be remarkably picky to do that in dozens of RP's one after the other, and I know it's not the case that every int check goes like that. But might explain some at least? IDK.

Sound point. However, I still find it extremely rude to do so and not say something about not wanting o participate or something to say you're out.
