Bing: Domains can overlap, yes. A god of fire and a god of earth would overlap, because lava would be a sort of mix of both. Two gods cannot have the same domain though.

General: Even if your character has been accepted, it will not go up on the official roster until you post it on the OOC. Also, you don't have to stick to the character you posted in the interest check. Feel free to alter it to your whim or create a completely new character and post that to the OOC.

Esra: I think I understand your character more now. You explained all of that beautifully. Go ahead a post your character in the OOC, go over it again and make sure everything falls under the general theme of your character, and we'll go from there.
