Often when people meet Ryu, they would instantly be presented to a guy that would speak, but does so in brevity. He’s not one for being a talker, but if pressed enough, he will let you know what’s on his mind and what he thinks about you. Being an older brother to three younger ones, Ryu has always felt that he needs to defend the weak. Or rather, if he sees anyone picking on those who are weaker than they are, he will do all that is in his power to help them out. Some would call this a hero complex, but he just views it as being a man and living up to what a man has to do out of honor and pride.

Because of the way he chooses to present himself and his clothing choices, Ryu is always attracting the attention of the ladies, but this is not on purpose. Granted, he doesn’t mind the attention, but he’s not going to be one to totally gloat about it. If he gets the attention of the females, then he’ll let it happen, but if not then he doesn’t really care. If Ryu finds himself someone that he finds just as interesting as they find him, he will make an extra effort to talk to said woman and build a foundation for any possible relationship that could come out of that.

So in closing, Ryu has a strong honor code that revolves around his masculinity and his need to defend others. He is flattered by the attention he gets from females, but won’t pursue them unless he finds them as interesting as they do him.

History:
Ryu’s life isn’t really much to gloat about. He grew up in Kyoto Japan and was raised by a single mother. His father died when he was young and he has three younger brothers that he’s over-protective of and will do anything to keep them from harm. He does harbor secrets, but that comes from being the guy that everyone expects to act a certain way.

Throughout his life, his teachers have told him he has a unique gift for being able to spot things that the other kids didn’t, but due to his rather…interesting way of acting, he never lived up to his full potential that everyone raved on about him having. That, of ocurse, was until he got that letter from Zandore III, whihc made him think that he could probably get use out of it. Or at the very least, it could help him out in ways the normal schools could.

Intuitive Aptitude
On the base of it, Intuitive Aptitude is the special skill of being able to understand simple and complex systems almost immediately. For Ryu, this applies to the norms of studies and other such things. Essentially, Ryu is able to learn various things in remarkable timing. This can range from how things work to the amount of information he can store in his head. This can even go as far as to understand complex sequences in formulas used for science and math.

As it is with any “special” skill, there are various downsides to Ryu’s special skill. For one, his Intuitive Aptitude works more so on a gut feeling rather than him knowing the entire picture of something he will aim to know more of. He also, cause this has happened to him in the past, forget some information he printed into his brain. Ryu could also become obsessed in some ways to know almost everything, which brings up the worst side-effect, which is that he can have an information overload and would essentially be stripped down to his basic knowledge that he had at a safe level of his skill’s abilities.
