Date of Birth: 14th of December, 1997
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Measurements:
5 foot, three inches.
54 kg
Personality: Aoife is one of those people that appear to be quiet and reserved from the exterior, but really, she can be quite pleasant and quirky. However, you'll never find her doing something that's borderline idiotic for attention. Having been brought up in a home where manners were enforced with an iron-will, she would never purposely be unpleasant to someone but if they were annoying her, she wouldn't be afraid to voice her displeasure, in a polite way, of course. If Aoife isn't making her way through her daily life, then chances are, she has a book in her hands. She's a total book-worm, spending hours burying herself in some dusty, old tome or a modern thriller. In particular, she could probably rhyme off various histories of nations that have come and gone in the world. This makes her seem a little introverted, and you would be partially correct but only in certain situations. Unlike most, her sleeping pattern is built around staying awake at night, strangely enough - not only does she enjoy the quiet of the dark but Aoife's downright infatuated with the moon.
History:
There's only a few places left in the world that magic is taken as a truth. Most places forgot long ago, replacing their beliefs of the supernatural with the facts of science and industry. Aoife was born in a place where magic was seemingly forgotten, the younger generations taking the old stories with a roll of their eyes and an indignant snort. It was her grandmother who told her all the old stories of Banshees and ancient ghosts, and it was her grandmother who helped her to understand her gift.
It only appeared as a birthmark initially, precariously placed on the inside of her wrist. The design was remarkably intelligent, a small wheel held together by thin strands of web. It was just labelled as "remarkable" and like all things that create a stir, people generally forgot about it and got on with their lives. Aoife wished she could have forgot, but a few days after the turn of her eighth birthday, she was cursed to remember pasts that never even belonged to her.
It was then that she was truly thankful of her grandmother, the woman helped her with her gift while her parents believed her to be demanding more attention. Attention was the last thing on her mind when she could see people's memories, painted out over a broad canvas every time she touched them. It was unbearably horrid, having to go through the horrors, secrets and private memories that she never deserved to see. It was a curse, as much as a gift.
Her and her grandmother kept it a secret though, her abilities, believing that they could be used for dark intents. How others found out, Aoife never really knew, but suddenly one day there they where, standing on her doorstep with their suits, ties and shaded-glasses. To the young girl, they meant trouble, but they were just there to document her powers and move on. She learned to live with her gift, using gloves and avoidance to make sure that it never had a massive input on her life. When the morning came that her official invitation to Zandore's academy arrived, she was initially confused, then excited, then a cold dread settled over her as she realised just why she was going there.

Using her sense of touch, Aoife somehow is forced to channel someone's memories back towards herself, eagerly accepting them and displaying them for herself. Although the person involved never knows what is happening, the impact on Aoife can be quite disastrous.
Depending strangely, on the lunar cycle, the memories she receives can be categorised in terms of intensity. For example, on a new moon, she will be able to receive someone's happier thoughts - riding a bicycle for the first time, their first kiss etc. However, on a full moon, she can see their darkest memories in perfect light - the pain of losing a loved one, or a guilty secret. The problem with these memories is that when accepted, they can instantly cause her emotions to go haywire in confusion. The happy ones will cause her to almost be euphoric while the darker ones can cause anything from not being able to stop crying, to short bouts of depression. For that reason, some would label her as a little insane when she can suddenly break out in tears from seemingly nothing.
