Personality: Ylcan is very much a people pleaser and just wants everybody to be able to get along. He's always trying to see both sides of the story and isn't very good with confrontation. When his friends are threatened however, Ylcan is quick to anger and even quicker to defend. Since leaving his island home, Ylcan has also started living a lifestyle of excess, having been raised in a community without need of currency or many material objects. He's quick to drink and have fun while rarely worrying about the monetary cost.

Mimic: Unlike other Mimic magic, Ylcan mimics items instead of magic. By touching an material or element, Ylcan can change parts or all of his body to become whatever he's touching (Steel, Water, Fire, Wood, Rock, etc).
Meld: When making contact with the same type of material he is mimicing at that time, Ylcan can become part of that objects, allowing him to move freely through it. If he were mimicing rock for example, he would be able to essentially walk through a rock wall or travel inside the wall itself to get from one point to another.
Assimilate: By coming into contact with whatever he is mimicing Ylcan can make it a part of himself, increasing his size or commanding the item. This would allow him to move tree branches, create spikes along walls, create passageways, etc.. Because of this, he could also take control of a magic users specialty element and turn it against them. If wounded when in his default human form, Ylcan can also mimic a material and use it to heal himself.
Control of Form: Ylcan is able to extend and shape his body when mimicing a material, allowing him to create blades or bludgeoning weapons, even being able to detach parts of his body, which permanently remains the element he was mimicing at that time. Ylcan typically uses this ability to provide himself with gold and jewels when he needs money, but there is only so much that he can detach of himself at any one time before needing to recover.
Shared Mimicry: When touching another person, Ylcan can allow them to mimic whatever he is currently mimicing. He is currently only able to do this with one person at a time.
Biography: Ylcan was actually raised on an offshore island, not far from Magnolia Town. At best, it could be descibed as a hippy commune whose inhabitants specialised in Mimic magic, using their skills to live off the land without much need for outside commerce. They were ill-prepared however for the pirates that caught wind of their specific type of magic and eventually took control of the island, forcing the inhabitants to produce gold, jewels and rare gems for them.
Being a non-violent community, the island was unable and even unwilling to fight against the pirates until Ylcan, barely eighteen at the time, retaliated after witnessing the abuse the pirates would regularly subject the community to. By mimicing and controlling to surrounding plants and water, Ylcan was able to run off the pirates without killing them, sinking most of their ships and convincing them that the island had risen against them. The island elders, while freed, could not condone the fact that he had resorted to violence and he was exiled from the island with his parents hesitantly supporting the decision. While a boat was being prepared to take him to the mainland, Ylcan's mother handed him a slip of paper containing the Fairy Tail guild mark, telling him that while he could not return to the island, he would be able to find a home and a family there.
