Good Morning all, I'm off to work for now but I will be back in the afternoon.

I'm only a relief staff at this school, so I thought I'd be working more casual than this but they've got me down everyday for the next few weeks. I guess that means they like me???

Prepare for the most BS magic you've ever seen because who needs normal magic.

Name : Rucks Kennithson
Nickname/Alias :N/A
Age : 23 and a half
DOB : 29th February
Gender : Male
Sexuality :Heterosexual.

Appearance :
Other Details : His guild mark (shown below) Is found on his lower back There is also a copy of it imprinted on his hat.

Personality : An emotional rock is probably the easiest way to describe Rucks, he doesn't really care about other people feelings. He's outgoing and pressuring at his worst, if he wants something done he'll make damn sure he gets it done. There are some times when his nature changes however, in battle he becomes more calm - collected even. He's kinder to those who share his ideals although his disdain is strong for those who rush in recklessly.

Arsenal : 60,000 Jewels
A handful of pebbles

Magic Type : Caster
Mage Rank : Rank A
Magic : Quantum Magic*

Spells :

Utility:

Quantum Observance: The lowest ranking spell in a Quantum Magicians arsenal. It allows the changing of matter which cannot be seen by those who aren't the caster. Despite being a low level spell it has quite a large amount of uses if the caster is left to their devices. It can change out an entire magnitude of properties so long as the item remains in its original state of solid, liquid or gas. Higher level users can use their hands to shield an object from view and change it's properties quickly - such as sliding their hands over a sword turning it to dust.

Quantum Superposition: A spell which allows the state of an object to be changed. That is from solid to liquid to gas or an combination of the above. It has advantages over Quantum observance due it's the higher level of skill required, for example it can be done with others viewing the spell being cast. However it cannot be used in combat due the the large amount of concentration and time required for it to work.

Quantum entanglement: This spell gives the previous two combat potential for even a low even user. Two surfaces of the same state and rough material can be entangled. Neither technically exists as a single object when the caster manipulates them. Should Observance be used on once such entangled surface the other would be forced to change as well, even if it is being viewed. This allows the highest class quantum magicians to bypass many laws which are in place. However the magics energy required to entangle is rather large making it only ideal for laying a trap.

Defensive:

Quantum potential, infinite well: In theory this combat adapted spell should act as a shield. There are three planes to the area projected. The central of these planes is known as the "null plane" quite simply the potential of any object entering that area is removed. Any physical attack therefore is rendered useless as the kinetic movement becomes obsolete and the attack is stopped. The other two planes however are "infinite wells" to be put simply they remove any limitations of the energy that anything entering the area contains. Allowing attacks to become massively more powerful.

Quantum potential, finite well: Another combat adapted spell. Unlike the infinite well this spell projects a single plane, it is smaller than the three planes of the infinite well however it carries less risk with its use. The well provides a simple limitation of energy, for a lower the skill of a wizard the higher the energy. The more skill involved thought the lower the wells potential. This is useful as a shield which reduces high powered attacks - although it's possible for some extremely powerful ones to break through - but doesn't entirely reduce them such as the infinite well.

Offensive:

Quantum Conundrum, Reflecting box: The most directly offensive ability a Quantum Mage tends to know, the spell captures the projectile summoned from an enemy spell and at the users command spits it out. Upon doing so there is a fifty percent chance that the spell loses some of its potential - almost as if it's been passed through a finite well.

Quantum Flux: A peculiar skill held by these magicians. It's essentially a random change of a projectile. Quite simply a spell this is cast upon randomly becomes another spell which the caster has seen. A bit like memory make only with no control. It can also be cast upon thrown item such as pebbles. It's certainly a risky spell but sometimes it can pull through.

Free particle: An actual attack in a Quantum magicians arsenal, it disrupts the particles that the spell travels through until it makes contact with an enemy. This attack does more damage the further it goes as it gains far more disruptive potential.

Biography :Fiore wasn't a nice place. At least that's what Rucks had decided in his youth, his parents alcoholics and him left alone to fend for himself in the city. At least that's what he remembers, he could have made it up to justify him running away to become a Mage.

When he was young, Rucks lived in Magnolia where there was situated a guild of people who called themselves mages. He heard whispers on the streets of what they were capable of, some accidentally destroyed buildings and some entire sections of towns when they were on a job. Rucks longed to be one of them. The day he began that journey was like every other, he started by walking to a fruit store and picking up an apple. He had no money to pay for it and he certainly wasn't about to steal it but he liked the false idea of acting as of the quality wasn't very good.

Then he went to walk to the guild, he didn't go inside but the building reminded him of his dreams, to learn magic one day. Every child needs something to keep him going. Most manage to at least begin following those dreams though, Rucks had tried to find a teacher on many occasions but none took him up as a pupil, it was mostly his parents fault, those that wanted payment couldn't get it and others decided that the son of people from a mercenary guild wouldn't be the best pupil.

Then one day his routine changed, Rucks was sat outside the guild hall when someone dropped an apple in his lap, it was a light green much like the ones he pretended to assess every day. He looked up and an old man was stood above him, his hair was cut short but was still scruffy as was his beard. He sat next to Rucks and they began to talk, the man told him tales of how once he wished to be in a guild, to learn magic. He told him great tales of lands to the east which were entire deserts, frigid mountains to the north and how magic had changed his life forever. But now he was old, with no one to teach his techniques. On that day a bond was formed, Rucks practically begged the man to teach him and with some effort he was accepted. He didn't even say a proper goodbye to his parents. As they set off with the setting sun behind them Rucks heard the poem which would encourage him for years to come for the first time.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

The next few years would be hard on Rucks, he wasn't a magician by birth and his talent wasn't extraordinary. All that would carry him through would be the old man who called himself a teacher and his perseverance. The magic he would learn from this teacher wasn't designed to be used as an outright combat magic but rather one for a strategist. Quantum magic was about adapting the world around you, at lower levels like Ruck's you had to lay traps to surprise your enemy and even that took a great deal of time to learn.

The place he trained was a small grove in a forest not too far from town, the trees provided fruit and the old man would go and buy meats ever fortnight, during that trip Ricks was allowed to relax if he wanted. The house was filled with old books to learn. Some were children's stories, other spell tomes which had been poured over many a time. Sometimes Rucks would ask why the old man learned such a complex magic as opposed to those easier to use such as fire magic or ice mould magic . He was alway met with a laugh and was told that Quantum magic was easier for him to learn.

Sometimes Rucks grew furious with his learning, it took him a year of basic training to even start learning the most basic spells and a further four to get to the next level. The training was harsh, the old man would test him each week; it was simple just capture him in a trap made with quantum observance. Unfortunately he didn't follow a prescribed route around the grove meaning Rucks had to be one step ahead. After he finally passed it by distracting the old man with a falling tree he asked the old man one final time: Why must he learn this magic when more practical ones existed? This time he replied with a verse from that poem;

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

At the time Rucks didn't understand what he was getting at but over the years he understood. The old man was a crazy one he gave him that. Allegedly he meant that since a Quantum Mage didn't fork lightning themselves like a normal battle mage that they knew best that even though the end hold nothing but darkness they needed to fight against it. At times Rucks still doubts whether he understand it or not.

The next five years after this were ones of progress, he advanced through several levels of his teachers training, superposition and finite well had become easy to use for him and he'd just about mastered quantum entanglement. This is when his real training began. With these skills mastered combat training was essential, each week the test was simple, defeat the old man. Every time he mastered a new skill the teacher would change his skill set, using different techniques to give Rucks a good enough chance at defeating him.

Soon the old man grew weary, Rucks was now roughly sixteen and had begun to question the theory behind magic. There was a vast number of books theorising on this in the old mans house, but none settled on a distinct idea. Nothing which was entirely concrete at the very least. One day the old man decided to talk to him while he was feeling under the weather. He told him that there were two types of mages in the world, ones who preserve justice and ones who don't give a damn. The best way he could describe it was with that poem.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Then the years where the old began to pass away came around. Four years and Rucks had mastered his spells and become an A rank wizard. At least the old man told him he was A rank and it was the
sat veil of hope he had given to Rucks. His situation deteriorated, grabbing at straws of skills to teach him before he passed away. Reflecting Box, Quantum Flux and Infinite Well were the last of them to be learned.

When he passed away Rucks wasn't sure what to make of the old mans death. Over the years he had become like a father figure to him and all he could do was bury him the ground and hold a small service, no words to remember him by apart from the poems final two.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And so as Rucks left the grove for one last time he wondered what he would do now, only one thing was for certain. He would not go gentle into that good night.

Other: Coming up with spells for this is difficult. I'll be sure to make some more later.

* = Quantum magic is the manipulation of the world around you. While nothing permanent can come of this magic it does make quite the useful utility due to the magic focusing on manipulating matter among other things such as gravity. In it's most basic form things such moving a wall to reveal a hidden path can be accomplished. The more skilled you are the greater the changes you can make. The greatest downfall of this ability is that it can't actually manipulate magic or people meaning you would need something around you already in order to counter-act another wizard. You could consider Quantum magic to be one of the most basic magic's since there are various other forms which split off into more refined paths - a fine example being gravity magic - but due to it's wide spectrum of abilities a quantum magician can never truly be powerful in any one of these paths as they are essentially a jack-of-all trades.

I suppose people are waiting for Pollux to say something in regards to the mission. I'll write that up, as well as fill in the request board on the OP, in a little bit

EDIT; Is anyone willing to play as an important character to the story? I don't want to play anymore characters so if possible I'd like to spread any relevant characters that are needed to ignite the story at certain times out among you guys. There are 2 characters that I need to be played, but one of them will not be coming in until much much later.
