Reina smiled, giggling at the other's comment. "I'm not that smart." She retorted, kicking her feet lightly. "Come exam time you better not give me a better grade just because you like me. Others might get the wrong impression." She said as a tease, but there was some seriousness behind her words. It was true that if out of the blue that she started getting better grades that some students might get the wrong idea. It wasn't like she had a bad reputation as it was. Some other students didn't like her and if they were caught together some speculation might arise that she was sleeping with Mr.Roman for better grades. That's why it was even more important for her to be graded equally or even harder than her peers. "Lets not talk about school now, though." She added, wanting to spend the time with Roman as a woman and a man who were attracted to one another. Not as student and teacher.

When the waitress came around she accepted the menu with a 'Thanks' and began to look for the meal she usually ordered when she came. The waitress was a little bit more casual than the ones that usually served her, but Reina just figured that the woman was a new worker. "I told you, and you should try some of their garlic bread! It is to die for." The teen hummed as she looked through the menu. The restaurant wasn't a fancy restaurant but it was above average and that's why Reina liked coming. It was good food away from the annoying rich adults that went to the fancy places her parents usually took her. Her parent's weren't wealthy enough to be considered millionares, but they did own a large 2 story home and had some help around the house. It never occurred to her that Roman wasn't part of her world in that sense. Never in a thousand years did she think that it would become a blessing or a curse to have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth when it came to love.

When Roman called out to her, she nodded and spoke, "I'm going to get Spaghetti a la Puttanesca." She said, pronouncing the words fluently. Reina was actually part Italian from her mother's side of the family and she had learned how to speak it from her and relatives that would visit often when she was younger.

"Oh, I won't. Your grades are alright as is." He thought back to his gradebook and remembered Reina had a class average of about 86%. She did very well, almost better than half of his classes.

Roman's eyes widened at her fluent pronunciation. "Wow! Where did you learn to speak Italian like that?" He was surely amazed. The only languages that he spoke were English and Latin. He became interested in Latin when he was about 13. There was just something about how almost all English words were derived from it that interested him. His mother, however, didn't like him learning it because Latin was associated with magic. She was always very superstitious. "I mean, I don't know anything about Italian but wow. That was perfect." The smile on his face grew wider. "Label me impressed."

Reina couldn't help but smile shyly at the other's reaction to her Italian. "Oh, it wasn't much, really." She became bashful, hiding half of her face with her hand to stop the other from seeing her blush. "I learned it from my mother since she is a 3rd generation Italian born in America. So it kinda has gone down the line with each generation." She explained, but shook her head, "If anything I should be impressed with you! Latin is a much harder language." Reina already could pretty much learn most of the romance languages but Latin felt like it was it's own different language sometimes. Reina would then call over the waitress, placing in her order before looking over at Roman so that he could place in his order. Once everything was set and down she turned to look at him and gave him a small smile. "You know... I was very scared of confessing to you." Reina recalled back to the moment they were in earlier, remembering the hurt she felt from almost being rejected by Roman. "I'm glad things worked out the way they did."

"It took a while to learn, but once I knew the basics and grammar rules, everything else just fell into place." He raised an eyebrow at her confession. "Yeah, I was afraid too. I thought you'd call me an old pervert, hit me with your purse and leave." He smirked. He loved teasing her because of how flustered she got. "I'm glad things worked out too. You're a very beautiful young woman, and very intelligent. I couldn't ask to be with anybody else right now." He smiled, moving some loose bangs to the side. "I didn't like it when you cried, though. You have beautiful eyes. They should never cry. The only time I want you to cry is when I- I mean someone is down on one knee, asking to marry you. Okay?" He mentally hit himself for the slip up. He wasn't even thinking that far into the future, so why the hell would he say that? "I'm not worth crying over anyway." He added, taking another sip of his water.

Woman. Roman had called her a woman and that made her heart beat just a little bit faster as it filled with a blissful feeling. "I don't think you're a pervert. You're anything but that!" She replied, allowing the male to push her hair and caress her face. "I only cried because I thought I had messed up everything with you..." Reina confessed, looking down at the table with a small frown as she remembered that feeling of rejection. She had honestly thought that things wouldn't have been the same between them anymore and that she wouldn't be able to spend time with him. That was all in the past though, and they were both sitting there together about to enjoy a delicious meal as a... couple? Reina blushed at the thought of them labeling eachother as boyfriend and girlfriend which caused her to feel butterflies in her stomach. Just what were they exactly? Reina didn't catch the slip up and just nodded to the other's words. "I understand." Reina hadn't been thinking too far in the future as far as love was concerned. If anything she hadn't been thinking about love to begin with-- that was until she met Mr. Roman on the first day of her senior year and they began to to become closer through Roman's tutoring. Reina shook her head, "Of course you're worth it! I've never met anyone like you so when I thought of possibly losing you it hurt..." She confessed, pouting at the older man. "Though, I would have thought you had a girlfriend already anyways. I'm surprised you don't have one."

"Yeah well, I don't really go out much. I'm stuck grading and thinking of new material to teach you guys." He rubbed the back his neck and shrugged.
But it would be great if you were mine. He thought, looking up at her.
"You know, I'm just glad that you had said something. If you hadn't confessed your feelings for me, I never would've guessed and/or said anything to you besides 'good morning'." He rolled his eyes and smiled, knowing his own stupidity. The food had arrived and Roman licked his lips. "Wow, this looks amazing."
But the bill won't.
He had gotten the garlic bread, and chicken parmesan. "This is way better than my idea." He smiled, putting a napkin on his lap. Sure it was old fashioned, but it's better than staining his khakis with sauce.

"Oh, I see." Reina nodded, figuring it was a stupid question on her own side. Of course Mr. Roman was a busy man, but still she would have figured that the other male would have possibly met somebody when he had be younger. Possibly a woman who he would have liked to settle down with. It was a sad though to think about the other with another woman, but she was glad knowing that Roman wasn't taken and that she had a chance to be with him. However, the girl realized that their relationship wouldn't be as traditional as any other couple that was currently dining in the same restaurant as them. "Well I guess it would have been an awkward situation if I didn't like you." She mused, "Had you confessed and I didn't like you I supposed there would have been some issues." Reina frowned, and was about to say something but the food had arrived and she felt her stomach growl at her. The spaghetti looked very good and she thank the waitress before letting her go tend to other tables. Reina followed suit and place a napkin over her lap like she did when she was at home. "Yes, it looks and smells heavenly! I haven't eaten since lunch!" She exclaimed as she eagerly picked up her fork and began to eat the meal by picking up the spaghetti with a fork and then proceeded to spin it on a spoon before placing it into her mouth. "Delizioso." She hummed after swallowing before giggling at the other's comment. "Well of course, takeout couldn't compare to this." Reina continued to eat, looking up at the other occasionally. Sometimes she would extend her leg to touch the other's foot as she would sometimes do during her tutoring, but this time she would let her foot linger instead of making it seem like an accident. The teen blushed slightly, hoping the other didn't mind her touching him as they ate.
