Not because she hated them but because they reminded her of the family she had lost. Still she probably couldn't avoid it forever. She breathed a sigh of relief when she reached the last step. Kyo nodded a greeting to the other boy as he approached. "Good morning, Alastair. I hope you are well today?" He honestly still felt slightly tense seeing him again after yesterday's craziness, but he still was convinced that he was still a fairly agreeable person. Alastair shook his head, "No I barely slept at all actually, Yourself?" Alastair asked rubbing his eyes and yawning. Alastair hadn't talked to kyo very much he had just seen him around never sat down and talked he seemed like a good guy. Alastair got startled by the girl who had just greeted him, "hey I don't think we've met I'm Alastair, watch out though I'm a scary monster." Alastair said sarcastically thinking about last night. He nodded to Katherin noticing her to the side.

She was gaining confidence when it camp me to finding her way around. She paused when they reached the dinning room. This was the hard part. "I'm sorry." Kyo typed in response to Alastair's comment about his sleep. "And I slept alright, thank you." Continuing to listen, he was intrigued by the fact that Minerva was a mermaid. As he heard Katherin's voice, the boy turned to face her and smiled again, despite the fact that he knew that she couldn't see it. "Good morning, Katherin. How are you today?"
