Yeah I have.
I had to deal with the same thing fandom wise, though I have managed to get others into anime and such over time. It helped that SAO and AoT became big, because it really allowed me to grow the group I could talk to. Mind you though it still isn't a large group but it is significantly larger than what I started with.
I hope you can find more people to talk with though, I understand how boring it can be in place like that.

Code Geass is good stuff. I liked SAO for the setting, and it helped me to actually enjoy anime at first. Branching out and whatnot was definitely something that improved my perspective on anime. ^^" Any Clannad or Angel Beats! fans here?

Well, it's worked for over 5 minutes. ^^ I'm reading everybody else's stuff. I'm really liking it. I'd also like to point out that one of us is playing a Sons of Anarchy character (reference image), and my mom was JUST watching that show a few minutes ago. She is obsessing over it, has been for like two weeks while she ploughs through episode after episode. Recognized the guy because he's Brad Pitt + Ryan Gosling = Jax. Strange... But good for him. XD I just had to laugh because he was JUST on the TV screen and then I start looking at other characters and there he is again. I can't escape the biker!

EDIT: Side note to MrDevious, I can respect using your real name; I can't do that. Makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. Using any of my three names for any of my character's. Not to mention I hate my first name in real life anyway and much prefer my middle... But good for you being able to separate the two. Also, I noticed you were the one using the SOA guy (not to be confused with Kirito, the SAO guy... ba dum tss). Anyway, neat-o *thumbs up*

EDITEDIT: Aspid, now that I've finished reading the OOC, I'd like to mention I lived in the country for sixteen years up until my parents' divorce reached its boiling point. Moving into population (even if it's still just a small city/big town) was soooo nice. There are things to do, places to go, internet service that isn't crap, the college is right up the road, and I could finally join a gym with a trainer and everything without worrying about the drive making my car fall apart. Not to mention, I could secure a full-time, Union supported job that I don't hate while I trim down the fat. ^^ But! If you enjoy it out there, more power to you. I know sometimes I miss it, but only for short stints. The best part is sitting out on the porch, reeking of bug spray, watching the moon without any kind of light pollution... Wake up early and watch the sunrise - it's a whole new perspective from both the city and the country. :)

I liked SAO quite a bit, though the main reason I watched was because the premise reminded me of .hack. Plus it gains more respect from me because as I said it allowed me to pull my friends into anime.
Also,huge fan of Clannad and Angel Beats. They are absolutely amazing, especially if you don't mind wrecking your own emotional state.

After SAO, I was able to pull my real best friend into anime and thus made him cry when... well yes, in Clannad that one thing happened and it was very sad. Made him cry. I cried at a much later point, but my cry was weeping for like two straight episodes. ;n; Ushio is the most adorablest character ever, killed me to watch her deliver that line with such perfection. Iwasawa's episode always closes my throat in AB as well. Oh dear, the nostalgia. Fantastic.

I like SAO because of the setting - I think Aincrad is lovely. I also just enjoy the action and the first arc (the Aincrad arc)'s delivery. After that it gets a bit eh, but I watch it cause it's just something to watch. Good stuff. ^^

Speaking of sci-fi anime, are you familiar with the Mardock Scramble trilogy? If so, I really might just have to be so thrilled that you exist. Balot <3

Also, yeah, I don't mind using my real name too much. I actually based a lot of the character on myself, due to this being a RP about death (kind of) TBH, I was extremely depressed when I decided to roleplay again, a lot of bad shit had just recently happened (like the girl cheating on my character before he died, literally happened to me 3 days prior to me joining the site.) I figured, i dont REALLY want to die, so lets rp about it? I guess... Lol but regardless, if anyone cares, im doing much better and am glad i started writing again. :)

@Ice and Scout, we should all just form an anime club and call it a day. SAO, Code Geass, Clannad, Angel Beats, everything. Surprisingly, only two people have even heard of SAO at this place which is surprising since it was so big. Personally, I thought SAO was a bit lacking story-wise since there were 6(?) filler episodes that tried to fit 2(?) years of game play into that many episodes.
@Mr. Devious, glad you're feeling better. Writing stuff like this out is therapeutic compared to hiring a therapist to listen to you. Get all your thoughts out here and we have to listen to you. And it's free.

Yeah, welcome to the boonies, Aspid XD I agree, it is lacking story, but I enjoy watching the characters and, add mentioned, the setting. I have an SAO roleplay that has no canon save for the castle and Heathcliffe. Apart from that it's entirely original and we just have a blast m it's getting dark very fast XD and it's not even close to being done with the arc in-game.

Sweet. Love it when an RP gets dark quickly. Was it just out of nowhere or was it like a dark that creeps up into the RP? Now you're making me want to read your thread's IC just to check it out.

Yeah, called XD I'm on my phone and I use gesture typing for speed and called has been known to turn into cake.

EDIT: might be a difficult find at the moment, one of our players is caught up in school as the semester winds down so there hasn't been a new post on weeks.

I use a swipe keyboard on my phone and it does that to me all the time. No biggie.

Aw. My semester's winding down now and I need to work on my Shakespeare essay. But it's such an easily finished essay that I'm procrastinating it.
