Full name: Howard Anthony Stark II
Alias: Iron Lad (although he hates that name)
Brief Bio: Howard was born to the illustrious Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, and as such was given everything that his heart desired. Given the fact that his father was a known super-hero and the owner of a multi-billion dollar corporation Howard spent most of his childhood bouncing from school to school all over the world before finally settling back in a prestigious school in California. While his mother did her best to raise a well-rounded child, his father; the well-known egomaniac with a known alcohol addiction, Howard became an almost spitting image of his father, larger than life ego and all.
Howard’s first interaction with his father’s suits came at the ripe age of ten when he broke into the Hall of Armors and found himself in the Hulkbuster Mk II, the results of which were less than optimal. After being wrangled in by Tony, Howard expected to be shipped off to boarding school again, instead he was given a work bench and tools. Commissioned with creating his own suit Howard spent many nights (against his mother’s wishes) designing the perfect suit for him. What he came back with was an amalgamation of armors with his own improvements.
Debuting with Iron Man on one of his missions with the Avengers Howard was given the nickname “Iron Lad” by his father, a name which would anger Howard for years to come. Because of Tony’s egomania and his own fatherly instincts, Tony would consistently leave Howard behind or send him on missions that Howard would deem “the minor leagues”. After hearing about the Project Teen Titans Howard knew that he had to be a part, if nothing else then to prove to his father that he could be better than him.
Abilities: Although he has no actual super powers, Howard has been given extensive teachings in almost all forms of science especially robotics and engineering. While he isn’t known to be particularly keen on hand to hand fighting, Howard is a capable martial artist. In the place of actual powers Howard, like his father, has an array of suits that he is able to fight with although is known to generally use his own invention that he has dubbed “Kang the Conqueror”. The suit combines two of his father’s suits (Silver Centurion and the Mk 42). The most notable function of this suit was taken from the Mk 42 allowing Howard to call and operate individual pieces of the suit, the other is the Centurion’s two vibranium blades in each arm. Improvements that he made was an energy syphon that allows him absorb most forms of energy including cosmic and turn it into useable power for the suit.
Personality:To say that Howard has an ego would be an understatement. Howard is very much his father’s son, which includes the oversized ego, the inflated sense of importance, and all the things Tony Stark is known for. The only redeeming factor for Howard, some have said, is his overwhelming patience and kindness that he gained from his mother.
