Darn angel. Forgot her name. What's her name? Let's find her name. Maybe she's on vacation. Angels party on religious holidays, you know.

Username:Bright_Ops
Name: Count. (Not his real name, but he goes by it now.)
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual
Species: Fallen Angel
Appearance: Count stands at a height of 6.5 feet tall, making him noticeably taller then most people. He wears a pair of reading glasses that he picked up in order to help him read once upon and time and simply got into the habit of wearing them all the time. With short brown hair, deep blue eyes and a fairly decent fashion sense of what men's clothing he looks good in, Count makes the effort to appear well presented and decent at all times. On his person Count tends to keep at least two pairs of plastic handcuffs hidden away at all times. He has the ability to turn them into a pair of whips that can ensnare as well as punish; While metal or fuzzy handcuffs tend to provide a stronger, longer whip Count keeps the plastic ones on him because they don't set off metal detectors and thus he can avoid some awkward questions.

Background: Once upon a time, Count used to be just like every other angel; A paragon of anarchy and personal freedom giving the middle finger to all forms of authority. He even went by a completely different name back then. However as time went by he started to notice that the areas that Angels 'liberated' from the iron grip of demonic control tended to start building up the dead bodies of those claimed by the extremes of freedom and anarchy, normally because they were part of the price of an Angel's good time. Morally finding himself unable to ignore the damage that his actions and the actions of his kind caused humanity, Count started to practice self control. By intentionally limiting his impulses and taking the time to think about his actions before doing them, Count was surprised to discover just how much personal freedom he gained by breaking away from the mindless pursuit of total freedom. Not only was there freedom to be had by practicing some control, but by mindlessly pursuing anarchy Angels imprisoned themselves to a single ideological path that made them short sighted to what else they could do.

It wasn't long after this heretical revelation that Count found himself thrown out of Heaven and walking the Earth. Losing his old name and taking up the name Count after the human title, Count found himself just drifting through the mortal world and doing good wherever he could. Recently, his drifting has brought him to Daten City.

OOC: Would I be better off listing Count here as a fallen angel?

Yeah, he sounds a lot like a Fallen Angel. Interesting! I haven't thought of that idea. Hmm....

*high-pitched, godly voice coming out of a tiny earthworm* FROM NOW ON, THERE ARE TWO NEW CLASSES OF BEINGS AVAILABLE: FALLEN ANGEL AND RISEN DEMON. APPLAUD!

What would a risen demon be? It's a demon who doesn't like order, right? If so, would Brace count, considering he doesn't particularly care for order even though he lies to himself/others about it?

Well, the reasoning behind Count's fall was that he discovered that by embracing order and control he discovered a more pure sense of freedom. The way I picture his demonic counterpart would be a demon who discovers that by embracing freedom and anarchy they can forge a more stable, stronger kind of order and control.

Well, we have two demons in a club, one angel at a church and Count kicking the absolute shit out of a rapist in the alleyway behind said demon club. Feel free to join anyone really.

I'm going on the logic that it wouldn't matter who is in charge of the area, rape is still going to be a problem. After all, it is an act in which the doing it gains the freedom to do whatever they like to someone by denying them theirs so it seems like the kind of thing that happens regardless of if it's a demon or angel controlled area.

Damn, work had me offline for a long time.

Well, Fallen Angels traditionally are Angels who deny God, and fully acknowledge they did it to themselves. Doesn't matter if they lie about it, they did it, and depending on the Judeochristian sect, they can come back to God by apologizing. God, of course, forgives them-as long as they truly understand and regret their crimes. In some sects, God says, "fuck you, you understood my love and threw it away. I only reserve my forgiveness for humans."

In this world, that's not the case. God is freedom here. Fallen Angels are Angels who discovered that anarchy is not all it's cracked up to be, and order can be useful. Understanding that, they may decide to leave God. In that case, their wings and halo glow red like demon tails and wing, and their weapons glow black with hints of yellow. They are then kicked out of Heaven.

Demons, traditionally, never got the chance to Rise. As far as I've researched, there has never been an official case of a Risen Demon. In fact, a good bit of the older books claim that there are no demons, only fallen angels, Lucifer's old buddies from Heaven who fell with him. Some unorthodox groups-- like some Unitarian friends I have--believe that demons can Rise, as God is all-forgiving and all-loving.

Not in this world. Risen Demons may be accepted by angels as an ally, but they and fallen angels will never be fully accepted by God or Satan. Of course, they always have the chance to Rise or Fall back to their old Grace. Risen demons are still red or blue-grey colored, but their tails, wings, and weapons now glow blue with white accents.

In a way, Fallen Angels and Risen Demons simply realize that such polarization is retarded, and that humans have it better. Although, there may be some who switch entirely to the other pole, but they be high to think that's a good idea. Word. Yo. Fo'shizzle.

*Bump*

On a slightly different note, can demon's sense Angel's when they activate their abilities nearby? Even if Count's aren't exactly pure angel anymore the same logic should apply.

EDITED. Whoops. Nevermind. Ignore my question. I answered it myself. I would love to join this but, alas, my friend and I roleplay a pair of angels and someone's already using one of the concepts. Sorry for wasting your time!

No idea, but based on estimations of where exactly Brace and Mag are in the club compared to where the alley is, I think they'd hear him making a ruckus.

I dunno, it's a club with loud music....

And sadly, angels and demons cannot sense eachother. Demons tend to stick out, though, while Angels have the luxury of blending in as a human. Besides the weaponry and the superhuman strength and the ability to go to and from Heaven and Hella respectively, they're normal people with normal senses.

See, I was kind of assuming that the whole club music would block out what was happening outside but *shrugs*
