Name : Caleb Paige
Nickname/Alias : "Stone Cold"
Age : 16
DOB : December 12th
Gender : Male
Sexuality : Heterosexual
Appearance :Right
Other Details : Black guildmark on the back of his right hand.
Personality : Caleb has very few inhibitions or personal restrictions. Or in other words: he does what he wants. Energetic, excitable, and optimistic accurately describe the younger of the Paige twins. Caleb isn't just confident; he's over-confident in himself and his friends. Utterly fearless and seemingly immune to stress, Caleb can sometimes work his way into situations that he actually can't handle but will continue to believe he can. While he is loud and boisterous, unlike his sister, Caleb isn't exactly unintelligent. It's that he lacks a lot of common sense, which his sister often has to make up for him. Caleb also pays mind to his (and his sister's) image, often taking effort to portray himself as a badass. Despite his general foolishness, Caleb is surprisingly empathetic and capable of understanding. Also worth mentioning that he seems capable of understanding his sister whenever she tries communicating, no matter how confusing her gestures or expressions can be.
Arsenal : Nada.
Magic Type : Caster
Mage Rank : C Rank
Magic : Stone Magic
Spells :Stone Fist - Caleb coats his fist in a large, solid rock. This not only increases the range and coverage of the punch, as the rock is significantly larger than the fist it surrounds, but dramatically increases the power behind the blow and the damage inflicted upon a target.
Stone Pillars - Creates rapidly forming, vertical pillars of stone underneath or nearby a target. Can cause damage with direct hits but also can serve as utility via manipulating the environment.
Atlas Drop - One of Caleb's most powerful attacks. A massive boulder is ripped from the ground and hurled at a target. The sheer size makes it difficult to avoid and the sheer weight makes it incredibly destructive. Guaranteed collateral damage when used in towns or villages.
Rock Golem - A golem of stone is created, slightly larger than Caleb himself. The golem cannot move from where it is created, but the upper body can still attack enemies or serve as a defensive wall. Multiple golems can be created in a single go.
Rock Hard Body - A strong defensive spell. Caleb transforms his skin into thick yet flexible stone, drastically improving his durability (and weight). The defensive properties alone make it useful but the boost in offensive power makes this spell arguably Caleb's strongest. While using Rock Hard Body, Caleb cannot move as fast as he normally can due to the added weight.
Biography : The story of the Paige twins, whom later come to be known as Fairy Tail's Destructive Duo, begins in the rich countryside by Shirotsume Town. Lawrence Paige, a member of the Magic Council at the time, and his wife Madison were expecting to have a child. Unexpectedly, there was more than one on the way. The surprise wasn't a particularly good one, as it was discovered during childbirth and resulted in medical complications. At the end of the day, Caitlyn was born, followed by her brother Caleb several minutes later. But Madison did not survive the event. The wealthy and esteemed Lawrence Paige was heartbroken, but he still loved his children. A powerful mage in his own right, he eventually decided that he would train them to follow in his footsteps.
Fast forward several years. Caitlyn and Caleb were four years old when they were first introduced to magic. They weren't particularly adept, given their youth, but they demonstrated that it was at least possible for them to become wizards like their father. He would occasionally bring them to Magic Council meetings, as he didn't want to always leave them at home with the caretakers, and they quickly became familiar with the magical world. However, it was when they first met the darkness of the world that their lives changed. When the twins were eight years old, they were walking through Shirotsume Town with their father when a deranged man grabbed Caitlyn and held her hostage with a knife. He demanded the release of a dark mage from the Magic Council's prison. Lawrence could not grant that and tried to talk the man down or at least get him to lower his guard. But that failed.
It took only a second and the deed was done. The dark mage cut Caitlyn's throat open. He then attempted to flee, assuming that Lawrence would be more occupied with his daughter than to give chase. But in the moment of sheer rage, Lawrence instead chased after and killed the man. In that process, he left Caitlyn and Caleb alone. Just for a moment. But that moment he lost with them cost so much. By sheer miracle, or perhaps willpower, Caitlyn survived the attack after her brother carried her to the hospital by himself. The damage done to her throat stole her ability to speak. Her vocal spectrum was limited to only a few noises after that, rendering her mostly mute. But on top of Caitlyn losing her voice, both Caitlyn and Caleb lost their respect for their father.
When news got out that Lawrence Paige had both neglected to attend to his daughter's wound and had killed a man, his reputation was shattered. The Magic Council was forced to remove him from their organization to avoid looking bad. Though he greatly loved his children, he knew he made a mistake when he acted without thinking. He spent almost the entirety of his fortune trying to find a way for his daughter to get her voice back, but it was all in vain. And despite his efforts to regain his kids' trust, he never could. After Caitlyn fully recovered from her injuries and no longer needed medical support to live, she and Caleb decided they were leaving. At eight years old, the twins confronted their desperate father and declared they would make their own way in life.
They strode out into the world on their own, abandoning their previous life. All they had were the clothes on their back and each other. The twins made it to Shirotsume Town on their own, before coming to the conclusion that they wouldn't survive walking to the next nearest town without any supplies or a ride. Caitlyn and Caleb were well known in Shirotsume, so the locals pitied them and helped pay for some food and a carriage-ride to the capital, Crocus. There, they were left to their own devices to survive. The children took up jobs here and there, living in the back-alleys and occasionally scavenging for food in the trash. This lasted several months before they had their fateful encounter with the Princess. A child herself, though quite older than Caitlyn and Caleb, she took pity on them after seeing the scar on Caitlyn's neck. After giving them money and directing them to an orphanage, she was on her way. The encounter was brief, but it changed the Paige twins' lives.
Rather than going to the orphanage, the two spent the money to get a ride to Magnolia. They had heard about Fairy Tail and its wizards and they knew that they had magical potential themselves. They arrived at Fairy Tail's guild hall when they were nine years old. Pollux welcomed the two, though he was skeptical of their qualifications as mages. For the first time in nearly a year, the two demonstrated their magic to the guild. Not particularly impressive, but they were certainly wizards. With that settled, the two were in. Over the years at Fairy Tail, they grew quite comfortable with the upbeat attitude the guild had. In fact, it largely influenced their personalities growing up. By the time they were ready to take on jobs by themselves, they were as fun-loving and happy as the rest. But they caught more than just the "good traits" of Fairy Tail...
It was discovered pretty quickly that Caitlyn and Caleb loved using their magic in excess. In fact, they were quite destructive when they went on jobs without supervision. As Alicia had one time put it: "it's almost as if they are
trying to break everything around them just so we will foot the bill." Their excessive violence on jobs, even jobs that didn't require the use of their magic, got them not only reprimanded on a constant basis but also got them noticed by the magical community. While Fairy Tail has already been known to be rampant, Caitlyn and Caleb seemed to be the crown jewel in a guild of violent lunatics. The Weekly Sorcerer labeled them as the Destructive Duo and wrote several articles about them, though they are often given mentions in the magazine due to recent acts of violence they may have committed.
While their behavior has been troublesome, they were only brought before the Magic Council once. Recognizing them as the children of the former member Lawrence Paige, they were let off the hook with a warning. They took the warning to heart and has since toned down their violence... slightly. Due to the damage they cause, almost the entirety of their rewards goes to Fairy Tail to help pay for the trouble. The Paige twins are now in their mid-teens, having spent seven years in Fairy Tail. Though not the youngest members, they are still generally regarded as the misbehaving children of the guild. Most recently, Caitlyn and Caleb have moved to separate rooms. For over six years, the two stayed in the same room together at the Fairy Hills. While it is a seemingly small adjustment, as they are still clearly close figuratively and distance-wise, it has meant a lot to the two of them in the sense that they are growing up. Something the older members of Fairy Tail hope is a sign that they might stop living up to their name of the Destructive Duo.
Other : While Caleb can fight on his own, he is at his best when fighting alongside Caitlyn. He has some ranged capability, but it is his hand-to-hand combat that shines. Has performed Unison Raids in the past.
