Dane chuckles and leads the way to Telma's, stopping outside and regarding the place. "Well, they aren't horribly wrong about the food or the atmosphere, although Teresa is...well, she's not Telma. Still, it's better than nothing, which I could use something." Going to push the door open, he stops when he notices the mark on his right hand that wasn't there before, one that resembled a fox. Odd, that wasn't there before... Deciding to wait until they had food to ask Bubby about it, Dane walked in and waved to Teresa. "Afternoon, Teresa."

"Why hello there sweetie! I'm Teresa! Well, I guess you knew that already. Oh well. Welcome to my Bar and Inn. Yes, I know what the sign says but I've never gotten around to changing it... At any rate, I've got milk, food, and supplies for a fair price..." Dane chuckles and orders two bread and a couple of apples (132 rp left) and then sits down at a table near the front of the bar, setting aside a loaf and an apple for the fairy and then looking around as he ate. The usual crowd seemed to be there, and the drunk sailor at the counter was also there. He was an interesting fellow, but with as old and drunk as he was, he wasn't sure there was a point to holding much of a conversation with him. Then the people at the tables, all sticking to who they knew. Bunch of socially awkward cowards so far as Dane was concerned, sticking to the familiar after already being uprooted by monsters.

After a few moments of quiet inspection and internal speculation, Dane returns his attention to the fairy. "Alright, so I've got two questions. The first, what is the mark on my hand and what does it mean. The second, do you think we could get the sages together? I'm interested by this Stalfo sage." It wasn't a lie. The only Stalfo that had any mention in any of the history books that Dane had ever read besides the armies of them that got slaughtered by the various heroes, was the Hero's Shade, the stalfo born from the Hero of Time. Maybe, just maybe, that's him. If I'm wrong, oh well, but if I'm right... Dane could only imagine the things the Stalfo would know.

Kyriakos looked at the mark that was on the back of her right hand to see the Dragon mark, just as Bubby had pointed out. She only let out a "Huh..." as she noticed the slight magic energy it gave off. She then looked to the side and saw, what looks like a zora, come into the inn, and sit at a table. Right by his side was a fairy that looked exactly like Bubby. Was that...one of the sages? She then looked to see another Hylian come in and sit at the bar and look around. He too had a fairy that looked like Bubby.

She asked the Bubby that had been following her all day, quietly, "Bubby...Are those two...the other sages?"

"Wait...does that mean that..." Gin began stuffing the mask into his pocket. To his great surprise, it actually went in! But his awe was cut short as Bubby informed him of the meeting that would be held in the inn. "Alright, alright! Cool it, Bub!" Gin began to walk towards the inn. As he entered he was greeted by the barmaid. "I'll take a bottle of milk, please." Gin payed the 15 rupees for the glass of milk. He took the corkscrew off and began to drink it in small quantities, sitting down at a nearby table.

He gazed around the room, noticing Dane and Shade, already having seen both of them before, it was no surprise that they were him. He still felt unsettled by the wrinkly zora, though. Gin also took note of another person he hadn't seen before, the healer Kyra. He took out the egg he purchased earlier, only to discover it had already hatched and turned into a scroll!

You have always been the unnoticed one, But your destiny has not yet begun, To truly your potential fill, Go to where the fairy's are no longer still, Wear her mask and you will find, The lost treasure of your ancient kind.

"Hmm..." He said lowly. The salesman had a mask that looked exactly like the great fairy. He had no idea of where to find "where the fairy's are no longer still." Nor did he have any idea what this lost treasure was. He stuffed the scroll back into his pocket, not mentioning a word about it to Bubby. This was the sort of thing he enjoyed solving on his own.

Dane notes the other fairies, who all look eerily like Bubby, with certain people in the room, one with a wrinkled old Zora, who he didn't buy was really a Zora for a moment. The other was the Deku shrub he'd seen behind him at the gate to the castle, who still caused Dane to shake his head ever so slightly. Man, the goddesses sure seem to like picking on me for jokes... The final one, at least that was here, was the healer Kyriakos, an person he only knew by name and not personally. So then who was the fifth one? "Alright, so the sages aren't hard to pick out in a crowd. But, uh, what are each of them if I"m the fox?"

-All the fairies begin talking with one voice-
Well c'mon guys lets sit at the same table together! This is Kyriakos the Dragon sage, The Hero's Shade (yeah I picked up on that...) who is the wolf sage, Dane, the Fox sage, and Gin, The mouse sage. I still don't know much about the Snake, or I'd tell you about her, all I know is that she's a gerudo and she is reeeeeally wary of hoaxes... But yeah! At any rate now that almost all of you are here, I wanted to tell you all the tale of Nayru's race of the stars.

Back when our world was first born, the stars would dance across the sky, unbound by responsibility or law, they moved to their own rhythm, dancing joyously in a display that made the Hylian nights beautiful beyond measure. But it wasn't too long, before our sun, who is also a star, wished to dance too, and so it came to pass that the sun would dance with her friends the stars across the sky often forgetting her responsibilities to our world...

This displeased the goddess Farore, who saw the life on our world that she had placed into being dying, the animals of cold, the plants of starvation... and so she appealed to her sister, Nayru who decided a new law would be put into spirit. She announced that the stars were to have fixed positions in the heavens from then on, so that they could not shirk their responsibilities, and that our world would from that point forward, dance on its own around our sun to entertain it. Now when the people and animals of Hyrule saw the fixed stars, they began to create pictures in them, and the five most well known constellations were the Snake, The Mouse, The Dragon, The Wolf, And the Fox. And the animals on our world were honored to be among the stars (except the dragons, who didnt like to be associated with such a lack of discipline). But many of the people cried out. The beautiful movements of the stars were gone, and now every night, the sky was exactly the same... So through the Great Fairies Nayru conversed with the people of Hyrule, and eventually a compromise was come upon. She would make it so the stars moved again, but on a repeating path that took so long, no single lifetime would ever see the same sky twice. But after that law was poured into the heavens, the animals became upset. the sky no longer had their honourable images in them. This time Nayru came to Din's red ground and spoke with them directly in council. But even after she agreed to make the constellations move as one body the animals began arguing! It seemed each wanted their image to be the one in the center of the sky!

Nayru, seeing no other way, decided that the decision of who would have the honoured place in the center of the sky would be determined by way of a race. The animals would have to travel from one end of the world to the other and the first to reach the end would be made the center of the sky. So each animal chose their best athletes, even the Dragons, who were not to be one upped by mere mortal creatures... And they ran. It was not long before they came to a raging river. The Snake, The Mouse, The Fox and the Wolf could not cross it, and they would have to find their way across by stepping stones or overhanging trees, the Dragon however could fly right over it, and, seeing his advantage, decided he could afford to stop for a drink, when he did, the mouse approached him... "Oh great Dragon, it is I your opponent the mouse. The animals all look down on me, and none respect me, I do not aim to win, but to gain the respect of my peers, by at least making second place behind you Great dragon. Could you perhaps find it in your heart to help me gain that respect, and fly me over this river"

To which the Dragon answered, "Hahahaha! You little mouse could never overtake me if you were to run your fastest and encounter no obstacle! It is clear your intentions are not to beat me, so I shall comply with your wish, and carry you across the river." And so he did, but soon after he had carried the mouse across the river, The dragon got lost in a great expanse of desert, the winds shifting his flight so he never knew which direction he was flying in. It was not long before the rest came across this desert, where they found the mouse sizing it up... The mouse could not enter it, as the winds would blow his tiny body about, and he would never make it through... The snake and fox were also rather small, and although they could make it, it would take them a great deal of time, the wolf however, was heavy enough to cross without much issue, and so the Mouse approached him when he arrived at the desert.

"Please oh strong Wolf, I am too small to make it across the desert without aid, the wind would surely toss me into the unknown. I do not seek to win, but only to make third place behind you and the Dragon that I may gain the respect of the smaller animals..."

To which the wolf replied "Surely it is respect you wish to command, for although I am certain I can overtake the dragon, you have no hope of overtaking either of us. I will let you ride forth on my back. Hold onto my fur tightly, and we shall brave the desert together..." And so the Mouse rode on the Wolf's back all the way through the desert. And when they reached the end of the winds and sands, the mouse thanked the wolf and hopped off, allowing the wolf to run ahead, with the mouse trailing behind. But then the wolf came across a great system of caves, and being unable to see in the dark where to go, he tried to turn around and got lost in the caves for days... Now the fox was pretty sure he could find a way around, but the snake, seeing by heat instead of light, could see the warm creek trickling through the cave, and could follow it to its source, which had to be outside the caves. The mouse, knowing this about the snake appealed to it...

"Oh snake, You and I are so far behind the Dragon and the Wolf, and while you may yet catch up to or surpass them with your advantage, there is no way I can outrun any of you, I only wish to finish the race ahead of the clever foxes, that they may respect me."

To which the snake said "Who caresssssssssss..." and went into the caves alone. But the mouse, having good ears and a good nose tracked the snake through the caves, and followed his path, until they both exited into the light. At which point the snake slithered on ahead got stuck in a temple full of traps that was between her and the finish line. She did not escape for hours. But when the mouse and fox arrived they both saw that the other was clever, and they both navigated the temple on their own. but the mouse, who was smaller, skipped many of the rooms simply by slipping into the cracks of walls, and exited the temple long before the fox and found that all that there was left was a simple road between him and the finish line. Running at top speed, he dashed for the paper ribbon, and saw to his immense surprise, that it was unbroken, meaning he was in first place! But he was only two thirds of the way there when the fox exited the temple, and the fox, who was a much faster runner, quickly caught up to the mouse... there were yards left to the paper tab, and the mouse heard the foxes long quick stride right behind him, and knew that he would lose...

As the fox ran past the mouse, he saw an opportunity... with only feet left to the race, the mouse grabbed the foxes tail, and climbed up it, along his back, over his head to his nose, and jumped off of it... breaking the paper ribbon only a mere half a moment before the fox dashed through...

Eventually all the animals made it through the race, and they all have a place in our sky, but the clever mouse, the one who used his meager advantages and disadvantages and the strengths of those around him, has always remained in that honoured place in the center of the night...

Aline looked at the mark made on her hand. It was clearly a coiled serpent, she'd not seen it before and indeed she was sure it had not been there when she went to sleep. It was of course possible that the fairy had placed it there as she slept. Then again if the fairy was smart enough to come up with the idea of bringing proof of her claim she most defiantly would have come with something more substantial than a tattoo. Something else occurred to Aline in that second and she almost laughed as she lowered the curved sword.

"You have no idea who I am do you?" It was impossible and yet that seemed to be the only explanation. The fairy must only have had there locations and it seemed to have no knowledge of the Hylean Law. "Alright I'll go with ya. the Castle Town right? Just give me a moment to change."

Aline exited the house and after asking permission of Malon who have risen at the crack of dawn entered there bathing house. It was a small thing built on one of the rivers. The water was cold but it was clean and refreshing. Aline disrobed and took a bottle of oil from her pack. The herbs she used to dye her hair would not come off in water but they were oil soluble. If she was the Desert sage she'd go to Castle Town with her hair as brilliantly Scarlet as the day she was born. If she was recognized she had this fairy to vouch for her and she was more than capable of dodge the Hylean Guard. She'd done it before.

After washing Aline dressed herself in soft leather traveling cloths. She strapped her twin scimitars to her back and covered them with her cloak. The fairy was still waiting outside. Aline gave Malon money for her stay, the supper and a handful of provisions before bidding her farewell and walking from the ranch. She was cold from her bath but the sun was hot today and she needed to move quickly. She would arrive in Castle Town soon, she was after all very fast. It came with her upbringing.

"That was a good story, I guess even if the goddesses leave we still have fate. My destiny for what I had before, and the wolf I have now... I've just realized something, you said that Ganon, and Link were removed to break the cycle... Then why is princess Zelda still here?" Shade asked the fairy, just now remembering the tri-forces.

Dane spoke up before Bubby could. "Just because the Hero hasn't arrived yet, doesn't mean that Ganon won't. Evil will do as it pleases, as the rumors all through out town suggest." He turns back to the fairy, who's story had him somewhat confused. "Now, back to the story of the animals, what does that have to do with where we are now? Regardless of what the stars mean, we're all still individuals and we all have different experiences and skills. We all have different strengths to bring to the table. So, beside knowing the history behind our marks, what do we have to learn from it?"

Gin couldn't help but feel a certain pride after hearing the story, even though he was aware of the fact that he and the mouse were still two different entities, the story gave him hope that he could still keep up with the other sages. He was still having a hard time stopping his typically grumpy expression from becoming more pleasant, though. "Fox sage is right." He cleared his head and began to think rationally. "Let's face it, none of us are in any shape to fight Ganon. We've gotta exploit every small advantage if we wanna stand a chance against him, granted he really does show himself."

I think that the story is a clue as to whats ahead. Maybe that each of you will suffer similar fates? Maybe just the places you will go? Maybe what your weaknesses are? I don't know, but it cant be a coincidence. And as for Zelda... I don't think they really work the same way as the Hero and Ganon. They live their lives from birth to death being Nayru's Emissary. Born ready to serve should the need arise. That's because their blood carries that old magic within it. The Hero so far as I know has only ever been descended of a previous hero once. And that was your grandson Shade. For all we know the Hero may still yet come, or maybe you're what we get. And maybe Ganon will come... I wish I had answers. But really we can only pray for the best and prepare for the worst...

Dane tapped his chin thoughtfully, ignoring the questioning looks they were getting from others in the bar as he contemplated the best approach to everything. Then he remembered the fortune he'd picked up and reached in to check the egg and instead found a scroll. "Well that was fast..." Pulling it out, he read it quietly to himself and frowns. "Alright, well, here's a hint. I picked it up in Carmena's tent." Clearing his throat, he reads, "The Goddesses were the Source of Land, Law, and Stone, but where does Water find its home? Your future will be aided in it's course, If you smash the Stone where the sea has its source."

Putting the scroll back in his pocket, he looked over the other sages. "Death Mountain is where the water flow in all of Hyrule begins. That's gotta be a good place to start searching right? I mean," he turns to the old looking Zora, "Link, you traveled all of Hyrule as the Hero of Time, even managing to reach the water temple in Lake Hylia. Is there anything there that might help?" Dane knew that the Shade probably no longer called himself by that name, but he didn't care. Of all the people here, he was the only one with experience to this degree. Then re remembered that he shouldn't technically know about the location of the Water Temple. "Before you ask, I'm a ranger, I go from place to place killing off large groups of monsters. I've helped defend the temples our friend here reclaimed years ago." He hesitates, then hangs his head. "All but the Forest Temple. Without a fairy or being Kokiri, there's no hope of getting there."

Yes... unfortunately the very thing protecting the kokiri was the very thing that doomed it. Without aid from the outside world, the Kokiri fell a long time ago...
As for the fortunes... I'm pretty sure they're personal... or a scam. Probably a scam. I'm not sure I would pursue them too much, especially because we know so little about Burana...

"I don't think we should jump to conclusions about anything at the moment. Not before we find out what the problem is exactly, because if Ganon isn't here and all this people are fleeing from all over, we may have a much bigger problem. There hasn't been much at the forest temple I was checking that place through out the years. But back to the much bigger problem," Shade unsheathes the master sword and sets it on the table, "My friend here is powerless, its just a sword now. It's just as useful as any other sword." He pauses for a second remembering every kill. "This is not the sword of evils bane, not right now."

Kyriakos had listened quietly and attentively as Bubby had recounted the tale of the animals and their race to have a place amongst the stars. She listened to the discussion between the other sages carefully, thinking on the situation and about the other sages in front of her. She agreed with Shade when he said that they shouldn't jump to any conclusions about anything. When the Hero's Shade showed the Master Sword, and Bubby made his comment, Kyriakos raised an eyebrow and she asked "And who is Fi?"

Forgive me, I forget sometimes that not everyone has access to a magic encyclopedia brain...Fi is the evil banishing spirit of the Master Sword. The fact that she isn't here in this weapon truly makes me believe that the cycle not being fulfilled as usual forces us to accept that there's a reason for it. Fi has never left her home before. And what's especially startling about this development is that no evil could remove her from it. Her spirit was imbued by the goddess Farore. She either would have had to leave the weapon herself, which she was sworn never to do without the goddesses approval, or someone with the power of a god is the cause of all this. To which I would immediately figure Demise.

Gin had a look of great shock on his face! The wrinkly old zora was the hero of time? The flower on his head was pointing directly upward as to signal his surprise and somewhat disbelief. Gin watched as the Master Sword was placed onto the table and listened carefully to the wolf sage's words, a new respect for the former hero rapidly developing. Gin continued to listen about the spirit gone from the sword, Fi. "So what do we do if the legendary blade can't even do its job anymore?

"Well, once we know our enemy. We can get what is necessary. There are plenty of weapons that many of the heroes have used we should look for them once we speak to Zelda about what exactly is going on." Shade he sheathes the master sword, and leans back in his chair, "All we have to do now, is wait."
