Storm was the silver haired woman that had convinced Makoto to leave her home with them. She is a very kind and soothing person but a force to be reckoned with as Makoto observed the woman's interactions with others. It was not hard to see that this individual was very intelligent or that Makoto took a shine to her quite quickly. On the ride over to The Academy it was clear that their powers were similar and Storm showed Makoto that control could be gained with guidance and practice. Storm had encouraged Makoto in great amounts in the short time they were together. Though nervous, Makoto walked with Storm to The Academy's main doors. The pair walked to the nearby office and spoke with the secretary about enrolling Makoto in the school. After a few words, it was decided that with some paperwork Makoto could begin attending class right after lunch.
"Here, I want you to have this." Storm said, turning to Makoto with a smile. Holding out her hand she presented an odd looking device. "It's a cellphone that a few acquaintances modified for me so that it could withstand my own abilities." Makoto looked at it and picked it up, immediately holding it close to her as if it may float away.
"Thank you Storm!" She exclaimed happily, bouncing a little on the spot. "What should I do with it though?" She wondered out loud.
"It's so that we can keep in contact with each other. I should be able to work on a new one within the next two weeks. This way we can stay in touch." Storm explained. Makoto's eye's began to water and without much of a thought she gave Storm the biggest hug she had ever given anyone in a very long time. She so appreciated the kindness Storm had shown her.
"Thank you so much Storm." Makoto pulled away, trying to wipe her eyes in a discrete manor.
"You are welcome, Makoto. Now I suggest you wait over on one of those seats there. Someone will come to show you around. I have to go now." This time Storm smiled a smile that showed she was happy Makoto. The two said their byes for the time and Storm left the building to re join her team.
Makoto sat in one of the seats, waiting for someone to show her where to go next and contemplating this new opportunity. It would be a good time to start over, maybe be someone better than she was before. She could leave the crushing sadness behind her. Maybe someone here could help her with that. With all of this came the question, should she keep her given name or choose a new one?
