No not at all, you didn't steal it I actually had it reserved but seeing as there is going to be three deities branching or kind of sub-branched into that area I figureed ehhh....
Don't wanna conglomerate too much in one area and I like too much choosing the odd roles.

So, anyways, everyone who sent char sheets are accepted - great work, everyone - except Synn, God of Control.

The Grey Dust said The Celestial Conduit, Aspect of Subjugation and Freedom
is overpowered as hell. I get the idea of a darker God without an absolute sphere of influence, but this is way too OP. You can trick a God to side with you and then create a disaster, or maybe bribe everyone to become a super-God. This might sound intresting in theory, but in practice I think it's going to be obnoxious and unfair to some players, and very hard to DM for.

Artis, God of Chaos

Appearance: Artis may look like anything he wishes, but often he takes on the vissage of a young teenager. In this forum his hair is brown, but ripples with all the colors. His eyes also seem to shift color based on his mood, appearing as the whole spectrum. He can wear whatever he wants, but he chooses to wear a brown leather flight jacket over a white tee shirt and ripped leather jeans. He also wears a pair of combat boots, and he sometimes appears with glasses. This is all of course baffling to his subjects, as none of these things really exist... yet. His expression often strays to a manic grin, looking like the Palladian fighters among his people. (Known to others as serial killers, who's motives are more real then people like to believe.)

Abilities:
  • Manifestation - Once the other gods took control of the primary universe, Artis became unable to manifest his will the same way as before. To be honest, this was fine because he didn't have to many good ideas. But instead, he can reach through the realms of time and thought to manifest small objects. He was the primary son, and he has some influence over his brothers' realms of not enough to do anything important. Mostly he uses this power to play pranks, recruit subjects, and generally be entertaining.

  • Madness - Insane people are his chosen people, he may control them, and madness. Together with Draumur, he can influence and even infiltrate the dreams of his chosen people.

  • Relm of Madness - before anything else, their was chaos. But then the other gods came and took over his turf, so Artis created another plane of existence. In this world he controls everything, although he has decided to borrow a few things. His world is full of an infinite maze made from buildings, parks, and oceans. The whole place is borrowed, coppeyed from the orderly brothers. His world is populated by the insane of all races, allthogh he sometimes has to give some to Finnos and Libris.

  • Illusion - This may to be honest be what his manifestation really is. He can use his influence over madness to create visions and ilusionary creations. But while his manifestation tricks everyone, even the universe itself, his illusions are much more personal. He may use them to give a single person a show, or even a group of his heroes. Once or twice he has used this on a grand scale, to show a bunch of people things he was always to weak to manifest.

  • Personality & Personality Flaws: Artis was the first child of Balsis, and some say a failed attempt. Like his chosen people, Artis seems mad in his chaotic manners, and he may be so. He is inspired, but as chaos he has problems comeing up with his own completely original things. Instead, like a mad artist, he takes things created by others and has his way with them. He is perfectly happy with his people, and is willing to command them directly. He has no qualms about the death of one of his subjects, many reincarnate in his world of madness, and he often orders them to do fantastically stupid things.

Creation - If he wishes he may create things out of thin air, but not on the most powerful level. He can usually only manifest small objects.

Is OP. Besides not giving enough info to justify it (what is a "powerful level"?), you're practically looking at all the Gods and saying "I can create whatever they can, but smaller". Like I explained to Grey Dust, there's a reason why Gods have spheres of influences: so everyone can play a part.

In other news, that's quite a lot of players. I think we'll start on Friday or Saturday. Registration will be open for a brief while after IC play will begin.

Well the idea is that Synn would serve as a catalyst in empowering another god or replicating their abilities, however I doubt they become super-god as their powers are still limited by their own domain. Since if he replicates the ability, the original god (the one tricked?) can use the very same ability to counter Synn as his version is less powerful by being merely the force of a command rather than the force of essence. As for empowerment, this can be problematic, however I think how much of a problem it is, it is a based on the decisions of the other god as they are the ones who determine just how empowered their god may be. Can it be abused? Perhaps, if a rogue god decided to imprison Synn and remain in continuous contact to become "Super-god." But there is no need to empower a god (again these are gods) unless alone their ability is not enough (ie perhaps the god of sand can create stone by compacting the sand into rock).

Plus there are a system of checks and balances (of which I envision him to consider himself as a part of said system) to keep the gods from their petty squabbles. Such that if any god does go rogue, the others would step in and prevent further action.

But I am open to suggestions on how to limit the ability if needed or rewrite it all together.

I've made a few changes. Now he uses his influence over all that has been created to simply reach out and take small objects, I envision him giveing one of his prophets a cell phone or something. They would just expect it, being the type of person he likes, and it could be a fun little device. He has none of his own creations, he is inspired by his siblings and simply takes and preverts theirs. Chaos rules all, but their has to be order for chaosto have any influance on anything.

I'm going to accept you then, after Artis' power was rewritten. What I feared about your character, Synn, is going around, collecting abilities from each God, and then, for lack of a better word, f-ing with the world. So, yes, this may happen and I will allow it to happen as a GM, but this won't go well on Balsis. As for Artis, I feared that being able to spawn anything out of thin air was too OP for a "Sphere of influence", but after this discussion, I believe I can approve your characters for now.
Also, I think this "God rivalry" is an interesting group dynamic.

This might be too crowded for me as well, but I'm gonna give it a change at least. Also of much lesser importance is the fact that Artis is the name of a zoo here in the Netherlands
