**_As the heroes of the Justice League continue to get older in the year 2022, a new team of young heroes has answered the call to become League members in training under the Young Justice program. For two years the program has welcomed over two dozen young heroes into their ranks, however some of them didn't last long. Others even met their end at the hands of metahuman criminals like Cinderblock and Heart Breaker. After the Justice League revealed the President of the United States was really an android the law enforcement across America has greatly diminished and the ban on superheroes has been lifted while the country picks itself up from the robotic ashes the Tomorrow Woman left them in. The Young Justice crew were awarded a new headquarters by the officials of Star City and now reside in a state of the art building in the center of Star City Park. The new HQ is generally the same as what they had before with most of the raw materials scrapped from Queen Consolidated buildings purchased by Wayne Industries. The main difference being it is now above ground with two additional floors. Justice League teleportation tech was now also made available to the team. Take note that this will take place four months after the previous game YJ2021 making it just after the New Year of 2022. Returning active characters will be that much closer to League status..._** ![The tree house wasn't big enough...](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/thekidlantern/NewHQ_zpsde6c0c9d.png "The tree house wasn't big enough...") --- Rules: 1.) No back-to-back posting. 2.) PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND SET-UPS!! 3.) Make sense. If we can't make heads or tails of your posts they're likely to get skipped over. 4.) Get permission before using another player's character in your posts if it involves changing the scene or making actions. Everybody will take beatings in this game in battle however, so don't get pissed if you get punched or blasted into a wall by the bad guys! 5.) Problems with the game or players should be sent directly to me through PM's. I don't want a bunch of bickering in the OOC. 6.) Abandoned characters will be used as NPC's or killed off within the context of the story. 7.) “I was waiting for [insert player/character] to make a move” is not an excuse to not post. 8.) There is no rule #8. 9.) My word is law. 10.) Obey the law. 11.) In the event that I'm offline for any period of time, the deputy GM (BlackSam) will take control and HIS word will then be law. ______________________________ Star City ![Cool city, huh?](http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/3/30334/1191224-jla5310.jpg "Cool city, huh?") The team had been in their new HQ for a little over a month now. Everything still had the new car smell to it. Each of the members in the Young Justice Program had their own personal quarters as well as access to teleporters, the war room, the monitor room, study, and lounge area as well as a state of the art gym complete with indoor swimming pool. Several of the senior members of the program made League Reserve status and took a leave of absence from Star City to help with the shortage of law enforcement across the nation. Shock was back in Dakota City, Fenrir was playing lone wolf, even Superman was spending more time back in Metropolis. The move into the new HQ was smooth, with teleporter tech now available to the team it took less than two hours. With no den mother from the League to watch over the team, there was always one or two Dittos around to help out with anything anybody might need. Just last week it was all Ditto and Hellfire could do to keep a wildfire from spreading through the forests of the park. The original Killian was entering the War Room now. He felt capable, like he could take on a League level threat on his own. An alien from the planet Cargg, Killian knew of the gods of New Genesis and Apokolips and saw Kalibak listed in the options for the War Room. The battle was set in a broken down city block. Kalibak stood roughly fifty yards away from Ditto who's eyes flickered blue as several duplicates came into the scene. The battle almost looked like a video game the way the Dittos smashed into Kalibak and were struck and sent flying across the holo-deck. But each time the original Killian picked himself up. He took advantage of transferring his mind and duplication power into other duplicates and in just under ten minutes about a dozen Dittos managed to defeat the dark god of Apokolips. When the holo-deck of the War Room faded back to the cold monotone steel surroundings and the holo-droid phased from Kalibak to a generic looking robot, Killian made way for the exit after absorbing his duplicates. It appeared as if there was an onlooker or two while he was training. He never even turned to look back, not ignoring the teammate[s] completely, but not letting their presence make him feel embarrassed. Sometimes his smack talk sounded lame with getting Carggite words mixed up with human terms. Killian liked a lot of the new additions. He didn't feel like such an outsider with Damita being half Kryptonian and Starbolt hailing from New Tamaran or whatever they're calling their new homeworld. Ditto passed them both on the way to the lounge. "You kids finding everything ok?" he asked feeling like an old man. ~KL~

"Kid..."Damita wondered out loud if she could technically be considered a kid having only existed for three years. When it came to intellect she was at an average nineteen year old's level although she and maybe even her family noticed she hadn't been aging. She shook her head. "I doubt I qualify as a kid." Damita however was an average teenage girl despite her extra human oddities. Her red glasses flashed as she pushed them against her face. This Ditto guy... seemed extremely complicated. Just the notion of making clones (irony...) confused Damita. Did they have different personalities? What were the limitations on his abilities? Could she take him? Her thoughts were like clouds and within a couple seconds she realized she hadn't responded in a timely manner, but then again, neither did the orange skin colored girl. Wonder where she is from... "Oh...sorry. I'm fine. Just wandering around. It's different here than my parents farm for sure. The technology here seems foreign but home at the same time. I know it's been a couple weeks for me but i guess i'm still in awe..."She trailed off wondering about how the war room mechanics worked. "We should go for a round. Teach me how to use that thing..." As she noticed the quizzical looks on her compatriots faces she added, "The war room?" not realizing she wasn't clear in her first statement. She smiled and pushed back her glasses again. It was a habit for her even when she wasn't wearing them.

"Perfect." Beck marvelled at the culinary wonder in front of him: a sandwich of his own design. A perfect blend of just-cooked flavorful bacon, crisp lettuce, and farm-fresh tomato slices, all on a perfectly-toasted rye bun. It was beautiful. And it was all his. He set it on a plate with chips, and started making his way to the lounge to enjoy his creation. Seeing Killian and the new recruits in the hall, he stopped to check in. "Hey, Killian. Newbies." He nodded to both parties as he addressed them. He didn't mean any disrespect to the recruits, but he honestly couldn't remember their names at the moment. The faces were familiar, sure, but Beck was never really the type to learn names quickly. He looked at the girl with the red glasses. Donna?.. Delilah? Definitely started with a D, but it didn't matter. "So," he started, flashing a smile and flicking a stray lock of hair back into place, "what's goin' on?"

_His feet were like hammers as he ran, propelling him forward as fast as they could. He was running away from something; he didn't know what, but he knew that he had to get away. Whatever it was, it was out to get him._ _He was in a forest, thick with trees, their foliage blocking out all sunlight. Leaves and twigs crunched under him, as loud as gunshots. Branches scratched at his face, thin trails of blood oozing out of where they made contact. He heard loud, guttural screams, barely human. They sounded pained, tortured; sick._ _It was them. The things that were after him._ _His foot caught on a root, and he fell on his face, unable to break his fall. He tried getting up, but he was weak. All he could do was turn around and face his pursuers._ _They arrived not even seconds later. Upon seeing them, his eyes widened with shock. It couldn't be them. Please, don't let it be them._ _His teammates stood around him, withered and weak, their eyes bloodshot. Burns covered their skin, the rawest red anyone could imagine. Their teeth were barred, whether in pain or agony, he couldn't tell. Their chests grew and shrunk as they drew their heavy breaths, their red eyes never leaving him._ _Minutes passed. Nothing happened. He was stuck in his spot. He couldn't move. Not a single muscle. Sweat trickled down his face, mixing with the tears on his chin. It took all he could not to break down. These couldn't be his friends. They just couldn't._ _And then, she emerged. Stepping out from behind the others, Jin walked up to him. He couldn't hold back the tears anymore. When did everything go so wrong?_ _Glaring down at him with those florid eyes, his best friend spoke. The words that left her mouth broke his heart._ _"You. You did this to us. How could you, Gabe? I **trusted** you. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?"_ _His lips parted, but no words came out. He couldn't find any to say. Because Jin was right; he did do this to her. To his team. And he could do nothing to stop himself._ --- Gabe woke with a start. He was slick from sweat, and his lungs desperately needed air. He took three deep, calming breaths, telling himself that it wasn't real, that it was just a dream. But he knew that if he didn't learn to control his powers, the nightmare would soon become a reality. He bowed his head down, his hands gripping his wet hair. And he watched as the flower on his bedside table withered, dying. Dying from the radiation that he was creating.

Ever since she has first gained her abilities of foresight, Kendra had been pretty much been able to see anything she wanted. She just needed to focus on it, and she would usually be able to picture it clearly in the mind. That guy who passed her in the supermarket one day, clutching a lottery ticket in his hand? No, he hadn't won the lottery, just as he hadn't the last several times he had bought a ticket. That woman pushing her pram towards a bus stop? Her husband was cheating on her, and she knew it. But she was probably going to stay with him anyway because she had nowhere else to go, and she _certainly_ wasn't going back to live with her parents. When she had first become aware of her powers, all Kendra had done was point out random people in the street and try and see if she could identify their future. She usually could. The only person who's future she wasn't able to detect was, of course, her own. Well, that wasn't true. She _could_ see her own future if it involved the choices and actions of people and things _around_ her, but it when it came to the decisions she would make, nothing. That made sense. How could she detect the choices she herself would make? She could see the future, and therefore her ability to make decisions accordingly were incredibly flexible. Now, of course, there was one thing in Kendra's future she had almost obsessively been searching for in her visions: Mammon. As she sat on one of the couches in the relaxation area of the new HQ, she thought of Mammon. She pictured his bugging black eyes, his large nose, his snarling mouth that never seemed to close properly. She fixated on him in her mind and tried to push herself to see him. This wasn't the first time she had done this, obviously, but the last times she hadn't been all that successful. In the past, all she'd been able to see was fire, a bright fiery glow against a pure and overbearing darkness. _Come on,_ she thought to herself, shutting her eyes as tightly as she could and trying to push past the fire and darkness to see something clear, something concrete. For a moment, she got nothing... then... Then Kendra's eyes snapped open as she felt an incredible jolt of pain running through her body and, without meaning to, she actually cried out with a loud shriek of "Aaaaaaaaaack!" When she'd finally stop screaming, Kendra realised she was trembling and wrapped her arms around herself. "Crap..." she hissed to herself, her body shuddering and sweat beading on her forehead. She hadn't seen anything, it had just been a feeling. A terrible and powerful feeling. She place a hand over her face and let out a noise that somewhere in between a grunt and sob. That had been freaky, and she'd probably been heard by several of her teammates. "Okay, let's never do that again," she muttered to herself. "At least... not any time soon."

Bored. Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored. . . BORED! I really haven't the faintest clue as to how _ordinary _people do it. How do they manage to live their dull little lives, without even a sliver of excitement or mental stimulation, and manage to keep themselves from blowing their feeble brains out. That's the real Question, now that I come to think of it. Maybe that's the real difference between myself and the rest of the world. Maybe it's just that they're better equipped to deal with boredom, to sit and mull their dreary lot in life while a slow yet incessant rot begins to waste away their drive and interest, a self perpetuating cycle of non-explosive self destruction. The merest inkling that I may be surrendering myself to the fate that befalls _normal _people is enough to supply me with the drive to banish my crippling ennui. If excitement will not come to me then I shall have to supply my own. Necessity compels when the devil drives, and all that. Or perhaps its a case of the devil making work for idle hands? Either way I must act, and the devil probably has a hand in it. I practically leap from the comfort chair that had supported me during my latest bout with monotony. Though spartan in the accoutrements, the items that do fill these quarters are all well made and comfortable. Not that such things concern me unduly, I could live on the streets if an investigation required it, but I will not refuse myself luxury when it presents itself so readily. I pass the mirror on my way out, stopping to inspect my reflection. Some call me conceited, but I am merely a man who takes pride in his appearance. Mind, body and spirit. Keep these things in order and the rest will fall into place. A moment spent straightening my tie and and I am ready, grabbing my overcoat on the way out. I set a steady pace through empty halls, heels from leather shoes clicking away upon the polished floors. Who does clean this place? I've never once seen any of my teammates pick up a broom nor mop, and there has never been a _custodian_, that I am sure of. I log the query for further investigation at a later date. I may be going half mad in need of a Question to answer, but I am not yet at the stage were _'the case of the invisible janitors'_ is enough to pique my entire interest. Instead I make for the exit, sure that in a city like Star there will be mysterys a plenty for a man willing to put in the leg work to find them. My thoughts are disturbed as an ear splitting shriek shatters the relative silence, echoes tearing through the corridors. My body bursts into action, propelling me towards the source even while my mind begins going into over drive, forming split second connections and deductions. _Deduction_; Based on my location in the base and from the direction of the scream then the screamer must be in the relaxations area. _Deduction_; Tone indicates the individual to be female, age between sixteen and twenty four. _Fact_; Team roster indicates we have six female members, no information at the moment to indicate which are on sight, though could be a visting member of the League. Outside party unlikely though, based on deduction that indivdual is a young female, no outsider meets profile. _Deduction_; Scream lacks the urgency of physical stress, perhaps emotional pain, or a shriek of fear. _Fact_; I begin to feel alive. My breakneck pace would impress even an Olympic sprinter as I near fly through the doorway to the relaxation room, my quick eyes taking in the surroundings before I've even skidded to a stop. No attackers. No enemies. In fact there is only one other person in attendance, the woman known as Cassandra, formerly Foresight, given name Kendra Martin. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that she was the source of the scream. Even now she shudders uncontrollably, a sure sign of heightened anxiety and uncontrollable stress. It goes hand in hand with the sweat droplets beading her forehead. She's making noises, such unseemly grunting, which indicates she may be trying to stifle a sob. Her cheeks are a deep red. Could that be embarrassment? Interesting. I study her intently, reading the small details that form like words on a page to tell me a story of her and her situation. I'm told I study people more often and more closely than is comfortable for others. Apparently I make them feel like they are animals in a zoo. That is a most unfair comparison in my opinion. Animals are placed in a zoo for the amusement of the masses, despite the inherent barbarism of such an outdated practice. Though it is not the association with such a disgusting procedure that bothers me. It is more the fact that unlike animals, people rarely amuse me. They are merely a means to an end. I come to my conclusions as to what caused her screams quickly. Childrens play really, from what I know of her personality and powers, the fact she is in a mostly empty room with very few emotional stimulants, and her current mood and demeanor.. "What was the vision of, Miss Martin?" She has earned my attention. Lets see if she can keep it.

Sarin was in the study, lounging on a loveseat with her knees tucked up near her chest. Projected over the table in front of her was a digital copy of the collected works of Shota Rustavelli, which she flipped through casually, reading and relaxing until somebody needed her. Though a large portion of her training with Shado was to be on point and on edge at all times, a necessary part of their skill set was taking time to depressurize--and there was little more that Sarin loved more than a book to unwind, especially a classic with all of the action and heart and romance to make it perfect. She flipped a page with a flick of her finger and rubbed her neck with her free hand, breathing deeply. After massaging herself for a bit, she opened her eyes and closed down the projection. The study was larger than what most people would expect of a traditional study, with a good amount of seating spread around it and a number of the projection tables like the one Sarin was using. It was sound-proofed beyond well, so Sarin had decided it was her favorite place in the entire complex. Though the war room was a close second. She'd spent plenty of time in there as well since moving in with the other initiates and now that she'd calmed herself, perhaps it was time to get back to it. She reached her arms into the air and stretched side to side, observing the shape of her lean body in the reflection off a metal support in the wall. _I've grown sturdy_, noting that her curves seemed to have developed more of an edge since practicing with the League's training tech. She gave her hips a pat and walked out into the hall. The study was across from Sarin's living quarters, which made her very happy. It meant she could slink over to read without having to worry about dressing herself fully and could curl up with a blanket. This time, however, she returned to her room to gear up rather then just dress. The room was tiny, but efficient. Her bed was raised above shelving that held her regular clothing and to the right of that was a glass case that contained her getup on a mannequin. Across from that was a glass case that allowed her to display her bow and her quiver. To the right of it was a work desk with a series of tools that were secured to the wall, but were easily removed if she decided to work on new arrows. On the wall between her bed and the desk was a poster with a beautiful image of hills and forests from Ossetia, with the region's name written in cyrillic at the bottom. It made Sarin smile whenever she thought of it, but a deep smile with a mixture of feelings, both good and bad, behind it. Halfway through gearing up, Sarin heard a shriek from somewhere down the hall. She pulled her top down over her head and rushed out of the room to find out what was wrong. The shriek sounded like Kendra, the girl she'd observed on the bus just before meeting them all for the first time and who she'd took a keen liking for, so she made for her room and opened the door to find the fellow Charles, who called himself The Question there with her. She propped herself up against the door frame and asked **"Is everything alright?"** looking from Kendra to Charles.

Kendra glanced up as not one but two of her new teammates came rushing in at the sound of the scream, not really surprised. She grimaced as the Question referred to her as 'Miss Martin', still somewhat irritated that the Justice League had, without her permission, revealed her real name to them. It wasn't so much that she cared about them knowing who she was, but more so that she knew that they were more likely to call her that instead of by Cassandra, a name she had taken to referring to herself as since her time living on Paradise Isles. "Please," Kendra said. "Call me Cassandra. _Please._" She said that last part with insistence as she rubbed her temple. Great. Now she had a headache. She then glanced over as Sarin, or Shade as she also went by, spoke up. While Kendra had yet to make any friends among the team, she did somewhat like Sarin, if only on the basis that she quiet and kept to herself. Kendra couldn't stand talkative or nosy people. Which was partly the reason why, though she'd yet to speak much to him, she was a little wary of the Question. It also didn't help - and this was something she would never admit to _anyone_ - she was slightly _jealous_ of him. When she had first joined the team, she had thought, as someone with the power to see the future, she would easily make her way to being the intelligence of the group, the one with all the answers. Then this guy, this wannabe Sherlock Holmes, joins the team and, well, visions were cool and all but they were also only showed her what was _likely_ to happen, not what was _certain_ to happen. They couldn't compete with raw intelligence and this made her somewhat bitter. "And I'm fine," Kendra said after moment. "It wasn't a vision. Not really, anyway. I just got a feeling." She then turned her head away from them. "I'm fine. Really." She was also tempted to add "Please go now" at the end of that, but resisted, instead hoping they would be satisfied with her answer and leave her be.

'Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored-' "BORED! Ugh, I'm sooooo-ho-ho booooooooooooreeeeeeeeeduuuuuuh..." came the, admittedly standard response to a slow day, one that often plagued a certain blonde teenager as she lay on her bed staring at her blank ceiling. This ceiling, which had precisely 45,382 and 1/4 tiles, belonged to one Tea C. Sun the V, a perky little lass who had just finished counting said tiles for the 3rd time, slightly irritated at the odd little quarter tile in the corner. Seriously, would it kill them to just use bigger or smaller tiles? Anyways, I digress. Normally, Tea would be ecstatic, like... REALLY ecstatic. Her dream had finally come true. As of last night she was an official superhero. Oh, that she IS excited about. So what else could possibly be bothering her? Well... Tea had, as of last night, discovered she had absolutely ZERO idea how to interact with other people. Yeah, you'd think she'd have know that, but when the only person you really interacted with for the past year was a 6' 6", 385 lb cyborg... well, you'd be lost too. So, Tea was just hiding in her room. Actually pretty scared of encountering someone new. Unfortunatly, though, Tea had nothing in her room to keep her occupied, except for a few Zenescope comics, and she'd already read Robyn Hood like a dozen times. Maybe she shouldn't have insisted on spending the night before she was fully moved in. But as she sat up, contemplating what to do next, a shrill scream pierced the air. Not waiting a second, Tea hopped of her bed and darted out the door, her black and silver armor already fully formed within ten steps down the hall. While Tea had forgotten to memorize or upload a map of the building, she wasn't too far from the source... although she did turn right instead of left once. Once. Okay, twice. Anyways, she eventually reached her destination, her blade, Kindness, in her right hand, and her desert eagle, Phoenix, in the other. Tea was more than ready to deal with any threat. Instead she was greeted by three people she had never seen before. However, judging on the scene before her, these were some of her new teammates. Tea could feel herself start to withdraw. 'Ugh, dammit, Tea! Get it together! They're just your teammates! Quit shaking! But uh... let's keep the armor on' she thought, forcing herself to take a step forward. And then another. "**H-Hello. May I ask w-what's going on? Is everyone okay?**" she asked, hoping the distortion of her voice would cover that small stutter...

Miss Martin was momentarily saved from answering my query by the entrance of the Ossetian archer code-name Shade, given name Sarin Aboev. My eyes roll at her casual entrance, leaning on the doorway as she asks if everything is alright. I barely restrain from telling her that _'no, everything is not alright. I am trying to conduct an investigation and you are distracting me with your remarkably inane questions. I would have imagined a supposedly master archer would be better at aiming for the heart of a matter, but here you are, wasting everyone's time.'_ The need to reprimand Miss Aboev is powerful, but I keep a civil tongue. Mother is fond of repeating old chestnuts, helpful little proverbs that are supposed to guide one in becoming a better person. A special favorite of hers is _'If you can not have anything nice to say then do not say anything at all'._ She repeats it to me on a near daily basis. I do try to listen to her, mother is a remarkable woman after all, but this particular lesson is long in the learning as it would require me to live like a mute hermit. What can I say, other people bring out the worst in me. My problem is that if Shade just used her eyes she could come to her own conclusions as to what is wrong. I am starting to suspect that Magnus Boyle was wrong about this _'team'_ and my place in it. I can hardly see it working out if Shade is indicative of the caliber of my team mates. I take a calming breath, force myself to accept that I'm surrounded by fools regardless of where I am, a peril of consistently being the smartest person in the room, and must learn to deal with the shortcomings of my peers. I refocus my attention on Miss Martin. The supposed oracle, who insists on being called Cassandra (Forcing others to identify her with her Nom De Guerre? _Deduction_; trying to distance herself from her past. Interesting) must be suffering the effects of a migraine, massaging her temple while grimacing mightily (Try being a genius inundated by the insipid questions of the brain dead, then we shall talk about migraines!) That, coupled with the signs of stress I have previously identified, all on top of her earlier shriek, tells me that she is most definitely not fine, regardless of how much she asserts that she is. Mayhap she has issues that she doesn't wish to discuss with myself, a virtual stranger. Perhaps her situation is one she wishes to keep from her new found allies. Maybe she feels if whatever bothers her so will alienate her from us if the truth was to come out. She turns her head slightly from us, a physical cue that most would miss but one that speaks volumes to me. It is a dismissal, her subliminal effort at telling us that she would like to be alone now. Well, Miss Martin, I am afraid to inform you that I care very little for what you would like. Your misfortunes have whetted my appetite for mystery, and now I demand for it hey be slated. Besides, I hate being lied to. I lock eyes with her, fixing her in place, letting her know that I am hardly the type to let such a thing go. "Well, Cassandra. . . " I put extra emphasis on her, fully meaning to harangue my would-be compatriot about the futility of attempting to lie to a man who has mastered the art of reading the subtelties of human facial cues, especially when said lie is as feeble as the one she just spouted, when I am unfortuanatly cut off by blundering entrance of another dim-witted teammate! Woe is me! Tea C. Sun the V, code-named Armory, is in my opinion one of the more interesting of this team, if only for the mystery of her past. Hers is a story I wish to delve into further in the near future, though that hardly excuses her rudely barging into my diatribe. She stutters when she asks what is going on, while either forgetting or choosing not to dissipate the armor she can materialize, even after realizing there is no immediate threat. _Deduction_; Nervous around team mates. Catalog for potential future leverage. A Ditto came from down the hall, just doing routine sweeps of the HQ and also peaked his head into the doorway where the current Question, Shade, Armory and Cassandra were all kind of in an awkward place. "Everything okay, Q? Shade? Armory? Cassandra if you need anything just give us a yell, alright? If your powers are still kinda in a weird state we can get somebody from the League with more experience to help you sort things out..." Ditto's duplicate suggested noticing the sweat on the girls forehead when the air conditioning is set at a cool 65 degrees. "Bloody hell!" I groan loudly, throwing my hands in the air in exasperation. My investigation has become a damnable soiree. I might as well have sent out invitations. I can just picture them now, all printed on salmon pink royal paper, reading _"You are cordially invited to the witness the slow yet inevitable destruction of Charles Ditko's sanity. Dressy casual. RVSP. Buffet provided."_ Well enough is enough! If I must deal with their ignorance then they must deal with mine, mother's chestnuts be damned! I swing on the group, stabbing my index finger at Miss Aboev, Miss Sun and the Ditto clone (I have trouble accepting the clones as actual people. Not very forward of me, I know, but even genius' have their own particular foibles.) "You, you and you" I punctuate each finger stab "Keep quiet or leave!" I swing towards Miss Martin, locking eyes once more. I begin to summon facts related to the lady in question, relevant pieces of information swirling in front of my eyes, useless snippets banished to the back of my head once more. Serenity overcomes me as a I repeat what I know. "Kendra Martins, only child, both parents working full time jobs. Very few friends growing up, exception; Juliet Silverman. Girls grow up together. Witness reports indicate two are extremely close. Silverman perishes supervillain attack, perpatrator designated; Snafu. Martins in early teens at time, retreats from public eye. First reports of vigilante; Foresight surface short time later. Physical descriptions match Kendra Martins. Foresight shows signs of limited chrono related clairvoyance. Exhibits particular vendetta against Snafu. Foresight suspected in apprehension of Snafu. Foresight sightings cease, though series of anonymous police tip offs begin, each alerting authorities of crimes before they happen. Some time later Kendra Martins reported as missing person. Unknown to parents or authorties Martins begins training as Amazon, also functions as soothsayer. Eventually returns as hero Cassandra, helps stop the Tomorrow Woman's bid for power." Serenity recedes as I finish, slowly returning to the real world. I take a deep breath before continuing own. "To the layman these are just the disjointed facts that make up your life, Cassandra. To me they begin to paint the picture of the person living it. You have seen horror and tragedy uncommon, and have come through the other side stronger for it, for the most part on your own. Snafu took something precious from you, so you took his freedom, fitting vengeance. In the doing he nearly killed you, or so the reports say. Even when your mission was finished, you still continued trying to help people, adapting your tactics to suit your abilities at the time. Then for some reason, long after you had confronted your foe, you fled." I pause once more. Another question, one I feel is linked here somehow. Why did she flee to paradise island? _Note to self_; Investigate into why Miss Martins fled to Paradise Isle. Previous findings indicate she is running from her past. Identity which specific part. "You exhibit bravery, tenacity, pragmatism, a fierce willpower and most impressive to me a modicum of intelligence. I sincerely doubt a woman of your capabilities would be sent into a pathetic screaming fit by 'just a feeling'. Your not fine, so don't bother lying to me. It doesn't work. I want to help, in my own fashion. Let me!" Please, please let me. I need this, need it with my entire being. I will her to accept my help, bend my entire spirit and soul into forcing her to say yes. The questions you pose are an itch with a dire need of scratching. I am an addict and you are my fix. Just say yes. Just say yes.

**"You, you and you – Keep quiet or leave!"** The Question shouted at her, Armory and a Ditto copy. Each "you" was punctuated with a nasty and direct point of the finger at each of them. This fellow was relatively new to Sarin and bothered her deeply. It was the way he carried himself; you can tell a lot about a person by the way they carry themselves in an unfamiliar situation and when Charles had first appeared with the others, he already moved as though he belonged and seemed to ignore the personal space that people hold so dear – in particular, Sarin. **"Næ, am bazzajyn,"** _No, I'm staying here._ The Question, priding himself on his comprehension of language, would likely understand her. Cassandra, as she'd asked to be referred to as, was clearly coming off of an overwhelming vision and wasn't likely to want this strange man berating her with questions like he'd done before. Sarin looked to the Ditto copy and to Armory gauging what they thought of what was happening and hoping to convey her concern for Cassandra. Before they could offer a response, The Question began to rattle off things from Cassandra's life, ranging from family life to her qualities as a crime fighter and as a person. What he was trying to dig up made sense to Sarin; everyone has crucibles – challenges in their lives that either refine or break them. The gaps in what Cassandra was willing to share was undoubtedly either from unpleasantries that burned her or, perhaps, she simply wasn't doing anything of note in the gaps. Regardless, the way that he described her character were spot on. Sarin had sensed her willpower and her passion as they fought next to one another. And her perseverance and courage was evident by her having to deal with these strong visions that caused her to cry out; despite them, she never was shaken for long and it never seemed to compromise her willingness to proceed with a plan. **"I speak not for Cassandra, but I am sure she would like to recover before any questions you have, Charles, o?"** Sarin asked, gesturing towards the girl, who still looked away from all of them.

Kendra grimaced slightly as Armory came stumbling into the room, just as the Question seemed like he was about to say something, very likely a protest against her being adamant that she was okay. Armory was soon followed by a Ditto clone, coming to ask if everyone was alright. Kendra sank lower in her chair each time everyone asked that she really hoped the whole team wouldn't come barging in here. She really needed a moment to herself to reflect on what she had just experienced and try and figure out whether it would be wise to try again. She opened her mouth, about to politely ask if everyone would leave her alone, when the Question spoke up again, this time demanding that everyone was silent before... ... before starting to call out every detail about Kendra's life. Her childhood, how she had become a hero. Kendra especially felt her hands clench into fists when she heard him mention Juliet and her shoulders tensed. Had Question started revealing all this information to her in private, she would have been annoyed, yes, but she would have at least been able to keep relatively composed. In front of all these people? Where the hell had even got this information? For one moment, she wondered if the League had told him before noting that 1. the way he was speaking made it sound like these were all separate facts that he had gathered from different sources before piecing them all together and 2. he didn't mention Mammon. He didn't know about her deal. The League knew, but they seemingly hadn't told anyone. She suppressed a sigh of relief, though she wasn't sure why she was relieved. Why did she care so much if these people, these virtual strangers, knew about the deal, about her life? She didn't know them, she didn't care about their opinion on her, did she? Or maybe it was just didn't want to be judged for her decisions. Sure, she'd done some reckless things in the past, her pact with Mammon obviously making the top of her list, but she had no right to be judged for them. They were her choices, dammit, and she wouldn't be the person she was today if she hadn't made them. _I have no regrets,_ Kendra thought to herself. _Not one. Not a single one of my actions would I dare take back if I had the choice._ And she'd keep telling herself this over and over again until she completely believed it. The Question eventually stopped spilling out various facts on, complimented her on being brave and tenacious - or as close to a proper compliment she'd get from him, she supposed - and asked her to tell him the truth, clearly not convinced by her protests and claiming he wanted to help. Kendra wasn't entirely sure how to respond to this. Part of her wanted to punch him in the face for having the guts to talk to her like that. Another part of her wanted to shout at him and tell him to mind his own business. Regardless, she wanted to do anything but the tell the truth. If anyone was going to help her, it would be someone from the Justice League, someone responsible, someone trusted would be able to actually help her. It would not be the Question. He may be smart but he had no powers, seemingly no knowledge of the paranormal or anything that would have been of any use to her. Besides, he had only been in the room with her for less than quarter of an hour and already, he was starting to really piss her off. Sarin intervened, telling the Question to lay off Kendra, but Kendra finally looked towards her now small audience and shook her head. "It's fine," she said. "_I'm_ fine. Really." She felt her headache worsen and she increased the pressure on her temple. She then glanced over at the Question. "As for you, ever heard of invasion of privacy? Because you don't see me spying into your future with my powers and the blurting out to a whole room of people what will happen to you in five years or so. So could you please do me the same courtesy and not go around telling everyone about my personal life from now on, alright?" she muttered. She didn't raise her voice as she felt it would put her in an immature light if she started shouting, and kept her voice to relatively quiet tone. She then stood up. "Anyway, I think I'm going to have a lie down. My head feels like it's about to explode." It was a lame excuse, though it wasn't exactly a lie either. Her head was aching like crazy, though she had no idea if this was because of her earlier vision or because of the Question's behaviour. Either way, she headed towards the door and made an attempt to edge past the small group gathered in the room, hoping no one would try to stop her as she attempted to make her escape.

[Luke's music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6kmOyaONbA) While his head bobbed up and down to the beat Luke Thomas was in the middle of pulling his Lamboghini into a parking spot. Top floor of a five story parking structure that was adjacent to his destination. After letting the song finish (He blames the original Plastic Man for his new found love for gangsta hip hop) Luke killed the engine with a turn of the keys before stepping out. Looking like the billionaire he was as he adjusted the skinny red tie of his collared shirt and pressed dark gray pants. That along with a pair of shades he got fairly recently after he lost a pair where ever it was he lost it. Coffee shop maybe? Who knows, plus it wasn't a super expensive one so he didn't mind. As Luke strolled down and towards the building of his interests at the moment. He got the occasional greeting and friendly response to his presence. He smiled, greeted back, gave a young kid an autograph on his ball cap when he asked. Luke could still remember a time when he was afraid to go down these sort of streets, as nice as they were, because of hecklers and teasing. Turns out getting your confidence and saving the world a few times over fixes those kinds of problems, who knew? After getting cleared by security at the office building entrance and taking the elevator up Luke didn't get much time when he got to his floor for things to get hectic. “Luke HR called they were wondering if you could do Fallon on Thursday night?” “Here sign this, its the release form for the new commericals.” “Luke you got a moment? We got some candidates that need a once over...” “Yeah yeah listen one at a time here, I'm elastic but I'm not a multitasker!” Luke joked as he put his shades into his shirt's pocket. “Here come into my office so I can tackle these one at a time.” Luke paused, scratching his chin before looking back over at the first person who had something for him. “Did Fallon want me to sing or something when I go on there?” “Actually his challenging you to Twister...” Luke chuckled, “Alright I'm game. Let their people know its a deal.” Luke finished the rest of the immediate business as he slid down into his office chair. Sighing in relief as he slipped back upright to log onto his computer. Since all that business with the robot president lady, Luke started up a non-profit organization. It was something he wanted to do for a long time, but never found the time or courage to really set up. But now, the 'Heroes Among Us' foundation was a big success so far. The goal was something Luke could really understand. Kids who are in domestically abusing homes either physically or emotionally, either given assistance in getting a better home through adoption or getting the help their parents need to be better. So far the stories coming from the organization's work have been quite positive. He was able to talk some of the other superheroes into helping with ads, as well as the big celebrity or two. All this work though has come at a cost, in the time his spent with his organization Luke's actual time as Plastic Man as dwindled. After a while Luke stopped staying at the new, and quite nice, base his teammates have. Just staying downtown in his personal condo and occasionally stopping by to visit. Heck Luke couldn't even remember when he had put on his Plastic Man costume last. He wondered about it for a moment as he stared at the framed costume he wore when Tomorrow Woman's whole attack happened. The few scrapes and tears in it being ones he could remember when they happened with strangely perfect memory. Luke's thought process though quickly changed when he got an email about some other PR possibilities for the organization's near future. Ones he would be involved in and ones he wouldn't. Luke thought for a moment before starting into his response. A superhero's work is never done is it?

Jin stared at the device in her hands, her eyes glazed over. She'd been doing something. Upgrading, or cleaning, or... something. There were metal pieces all over her worktable, and while she knew what they were and how they went together, she just couldn't recall why she'd taken it apart in the first place. She rubbed her face, the roughness of her work glove calling her brain back to attention. "Forget it." Today wasn't a day for work. She tugged off her gloves and put them in a drawer, then lay a plastic tarp over her unfinished work to prevent dust. There was a dull, throbbing pain above her eyelids, and she knew it was going to get worse before long. It was really getting on her nerves, and deeper than that, she was so afraid. Things had happened that she hadn't even discussed in therapy. It made her fear for her future. Still, there were things that Jin was determined to handle, no matter what the year ahead looked like. Striding though the new headquarters, she thought about going to her room to change and tidy up. The thought was dismissed quickly; Gabe had seen her covered in sweat, bruised, bloody and beat up. He could handle her in a t-shirt and shorts. She inhaled slow as she reached his room, and she knocked on his door before she could talk herself out of it. Gabe didn't have to ask to know that it was Jin who knocked on his door. She was the only person allowed in his room, something which he made known to the rest of his team fairly quickly. But now, he wasn't sure that was the case anymore. With his developing radiation powers, he didn't want anyone, especially not her, exposed to him for any longer than necessary.  "Won't be a minute," he called out, getting out of the bed he hadn't moved from since waking up. He pulled on a tank top and pants, before taking a look at himself through the mirror in his bathroom. Aside from the dark rings beneath his eyes, he looked okay. Hopefully, Jin wouldn't catch on that something was wrong. "Just gotta do something." Gabe took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and focused all his energy on dissipating any leftover radioactivity. After a short while, the veins on his arms began to glow a bright green, and searing pain filled his arms and expanded throughout his body. A green mist floated towards him; the radiation. Once it reached him, his hands seemed to absorb it, leaving no trace of radiation in his room.  The effort caused him to let out a cry of agony. His body felt like it was burning up, about to explode. But as soon as it came, it went, and Gabe composed himself before opening the door for a probably very worried Jin. Jin smiled warmly as his door opened. The grin faltered somewhat, as she saw the dark rings under his eyes and the fact that he looked a bit sweaty. She'd also heard a shout of what she thought was pain. She hoped it was pain. Not because he would be hurt, but because Canary had explained some things about teenage boys during her therapy, and sweat plus loud vocals could mean something completely different... "Ah... you look tired." There was concern on her face, but she tried to wipe it away with a smile. "Isn't that my job?" She reached out and cupped his face, giving him a scruitinizing look. "I hope you're not getting sick, Gabe." Slightly red faced, she dropped her hands away.  "I wanted to talk to you, about something kinda important. But if you're not feeling great, I can wait." She didn't want to wait, but she could feel her courage starting to fail her.  When Jin cupped his face, it took all of Gabe's self control not to lean into her touch. It was so comforting. Almost as if it was letting him know that everything would be okay.  "You can always talk to me," he said, trying his best to smile. Nervousness was welling up inside him. This was it. The perfect moment to tell her. The next time he'd get this chance, it might already be too late. So, with a long sigh, he said, "And there's something I've been meaning to tell you, too." "Oh, okay." Jin wondered at his weak smile, and hoped whatever was bothering him wasn't serious. She still had nightmares about the long night of saving his life when he'd been poisoned. If Batman hadn't showed up, she didn't know if she could have won. "Rooftop?" Their new HQ had a very nice view of the sky, and even a helipad for emergencies. Jin liked the peace of it, being able to look over the city and be away from all the trouble for a moment. She led the way up, the high-speed elevator getting them to the top floor in a smooth ride of less than 10 seconds. Jin stepped out, smiling briefly at the sun warming her face. She settled on a bench, looking up through the thick, bulletproof plate glass that encapsuled the roof. "...so... Should I go first, or should you?"  "Ladies first," Gabe answered, managing a smirk. "Alright." She was hoping he'd take the initiative, but it was time to bite the bullet. She exhaled slow, then started, hoping the words would come when her mouth opened.  "Do you know- the very first day we met, and Bruce introduced us? I hated you." She realized how that sounded once the words were out in the open, and winced. "Of course my opinion changed quick enough. But, at the start... I was completely sure that I was being replaced. Here was this guy. Smarter, younger, more powerful, and didn't have all the rumory bullshit that came from raising a teenage girl when you were a middle aged bazillionaire living in a mansion by yourself." She smiled and shook her head. She'd been wrong, beyond wrong. Her wariness hadn't really worn off until the first time they fought as a team. "You remember our first night out? We thought we were stopping a mugging, but then it turned into a whole street fight. All of a sudden, it was like we could read each other's minds. I struck, you had my back. You threw fireballs, and I shielded you." Her smile was broadening at the memory. "That was probably one of the best nights of my life. You were my partner, my brother, and my best friend from then on, and... I'm happy." She paused, picking at her nails in an open, nervous gesture that was very unlike her. "I mean, I was happy. Up until like... a year ago." It felt like ages- could so much really happen in 12 months? "Things got rough. You went off with Fenrir, I went quiet, everything kind of went to pieces for the team. I missed you, and I hated you because I missed you. I hated myself for missing you-" She was starting to babble now, because she could feel her throat closing up wiith emotion. "I've never had anyone mean as much to me as you do, and it scares the crap out of me, Gabe. I don't even let Bats in, and he's putting clothes on my back and a roof over my head. He could get snuffed tomorrow, and my first thought would be how to carry on the work, and not about the man who did it." Knowing she was getting off topic, she tried to force what she wanted to say out of her mouth. "I care about you, Gabe. A lot. More than I've ever cared, or even wanted to. You are my best friend, and my brother, and all sorts of other good things, and I'm such an idiot-" The tears were coming now, she could feel them burning in her eyes. "I'm an idiot for being greedy enough to want more--" A tiny sob escaped her, and she reflexively covered her face. All that and she still couldn't let the words out. Her shoulders shuddered as she tried to hold back a thousand emotions that were threatening to take her over at the same time. Her hands only pressed tighter as she tried to muffle her crying. Gabe looked at Jin, at the hands that covered her face, at the tears that escaped them, at the shoulders which shook with each sob, and all at once, emotions erupted within him. He took her hands in his, lowering them from her visage. His eyes locked onto her tear-filled orbs, and he let go of her hands, cupping her face. Slowly, he drew closer to her, his head tilting to the side, and-- Their lips met. The caterpillars in his stomach broke out into butterflies, fluttering around uncontrollably. He didn't know if he was doing it right; was his nose in the right place? Was it annoying her? Did he remember to brush his teeth? What should he do with his hands? Keep them on her face? Eventually, those thoughts disappeared, and the world seemed to stop. For the first time in years, everything seemed perfect. After what didn't feel long enough, Gabe pulled away, his hands still cupping Jin's face. Looking into her eyes once more, he uttered the three words he'd been wanting to tell her for three years. "I love you." Jin was warm, impossibly, amazingly warm. The whole world had slowed down, and all she could see was Gabe's green eyes, overflowing with emotion. Love, he'd said. Love. This was what all the romantic comedies and sappy songs were about. Suddenly a lot of things made sense, falling into place like the final piece of a prototype. She wiped the tears from her face, and her fingers trailed against her mouth. She still felt his lips there. "Gabe.." She started, and then stopped, and then started to laugh. "Dammit, it's going to sound so stupid if I say it back now!" Still chuckling, she leaned against him, savoring his warm, his solid body, her forehead resting in the curve of his neck. "I love you." It slipped out of her like it was somehow still a secret. "I have for a while, I just was- well, I am- pretty much terrified about it. I never even dreamed of the possibility that you could love me back."  Gabe gazed at her, leaning against him, and wrapped his arms around her. Telling Jin about his radioactivity took a backseat in his mind. That could wait. Right now, all he wanted was for things to stay the way they were. Him and Jin, on the rooftop, in each other's arms. He wouldn't have it any other way.

Toriand'r had only been a part of this young justice team for around a month now, Since her arrival from New Tamaran to Earth it has been a learning curve with a lot to adapt and get used to. The first milestone was to understand and speak the native language of this planet. It was an amusing situation that happened within the first day of arrival when she was originally Sponsored by Starfire, An honour which words could not describe but upon that day she arrived. Toriand'r remembered it well and it was also to Starfire's amusement that the young Tamaran was had her interest caught by this boy before she arrived at the new HQ, She could not understand what he was saying but he sounded overconfident and sure of himself, interesting traits to her but she had a lot to learn as the guy was bigging it up he could have any girl he wanted and none good resist his amazing charm. Well the teen had to learn the language and he interested her enough for Toriand'r to go up to the guy and in front of his mates within an instant gave the guy a deep passionate kiss on the lips which had them all speechless. After she broke of the kiss and began walking off he bragged for a moment before ordering her to come back to him and that she could not resist him along with speaking of not minding trying a little Alien, But unfortunately for him, she already learn and understood the language completely and he was not interesting any more and was boring her with his demands. He went to grab her so she would stop walking of and in an instant she used his momentum while grabbing his arm and throwing him around her to the floor using her leg before pinning him to the ground with her free arm, despite his efforts and protests he could not move. "I am a Tamarean, I am physically stronger than you so don't bother trying." She paused watching him with amusement. "You do not interest me, You are a boring individual who only thinks of himself, A dishonourable trait, I only kissed you to learn one of the many languages of this world. Now go back to your friends." Toriand'r finish lifting him up to his feet before shoving him away making him almost lose balance and looking like an idiot in front of his friends. By this point Starfire stepped in to calm everything and get the young teen to the HQ. Although that was the best part of a month ago, It still amused her often when she thought about it, She so could've kissed some one better than him. Still some things did change as Starfire had to move on with bigger responsibilities for her people leaving the now named with the alias of Starbolt was sponsored by Wonder Woman and she was being a big influence on Starbolt but still it was hard to get out of Tamarans often, Toriand'r was different in unique ways that yes she had the same golden like leather skin but her eyes were blue and not green and her power reflected that to. The exotic teen was still learning about the culture and ways of this world and something is often confused or miss understood some of the ways people do things but she was learning.. Slowly. At the moment though she was walking with two individuals called Damita, A half Kryptonian and Ditto who apparently came from the planet Cargg. Starbolt had been watching Ditto in his training and to say she was impressed with his skills and of course a power to duplicate oneself is surely no easy task she would of thought, But something he appeared to do well. On the way to the lounge the later spoke up asking how they were finding it and listened as Damita spoke up, the conversation made her smile a bit, she was excited and curious at the same time. " I don't think either of us qualify as kids Kilian" Tori responded, that was a nickname she was given by some in the group. "But I think things are going okay. Still don't understand half of the cultures on this world, there is much to learn and enjoy but I like it here." She added while walking with the pair to the lounge.

My face falls for the briefest of moments, but I quickly master myself, employing a more neutral expression. Cassandra's answer, though not what I wanted, was no more than I expected. As of this moment I have yet to completely profile my teammates, instead relying on my preliminary findings and basic evaluations of their characters, and what I know of Miss Martin should have informed me that this would have been the flavor of her answer. She suffers from the fierce independence and refusal to rely on others that seems to color most vigilante hero types, myself included (Ironic really, when you consider our current location and situation!). I realize now that coming at her head on was a mistake. Now I've only made her grit her teeth and dig her heels, even less likely to accept my help than she was at the beginning. In retrospect I should have employed a more obsequious ploy. Alas, hindsight is 20/20, even for one such as I. I have gained some insight though, mostly through her physical reactions. Firstly she seemed ready to attack me (Another reaction I was expecting, though what I would have done in a physical confrontation against a woman trained by Amazons I'm not entirely certain), but then her face relaxed and she displayed the motions of suppressing a sigh, both signs of relief. At first I imagined it was because I had managed to penetrate her frosty exterior, but now I am unfortunately forced to reevaluate. Assumption; Relief not caused by proffered helping hand, perhaps I have missed something she wishes kept secret. Again I go back to her exile to Paradise Isle. There is a link there, I just know it, one that is integral to the problem at hand. She attempts to intimidate me, meaning to menace me by threatening to reveal the details of my future. I fail to suppress a grin at the laughable nature of the threat. My future is unwritten, the man I will become a mere wisp of the man I am at this very moment. The actions of some insubstantial phantom of tomorrow wearing my face and body concerns me not at all. In the past I have drawn comparisons to a dog with a bone when I have found a case of interest, and like a dog I will not release upon my treat of choice easily, especially when those wishing me to desist employ such juvenile means. Still, I am forced to accept that I must change tact. If she will not accept my help then I will force my help upon her. Cassandra expresses her wish to leave the room (Deduction; The headache is a fortuitous excuse for her to make her escape) so I step out of her way, quite graciously, acceding this early round to her. I have other avenues to explore after all, and this battle is far from over. This was merely an opening shot! I do leave her with a warning of my own however. "I discovered all that with little more than a cursory search after I discovered we would be team mates. Imagine what I will dig up now you have caught my attention. Something to consider." She poses a question in need of answering, and I will not be dissuaded.

"I feel old. The new recruits... everyone that's left from the original team, everyone is labled 'teenagers'. I'm told by Superman I'm twenty-two years old by Earth standards. On my home planet of Cargg I was the youngest of three siblings who could also triplicate. I was six and a half cycles old. How my makers, what humans call 'parents', could deal with nine children is beyond my comprehension. Still, with Iga diving more into her corporation and business over seas I'm now the oldest on the team. V and Phil were both closer to my age, and even Fenrir would have been in his twenties by now. I don't feel like a babysitter. Plas, Orbit, and Hellfire are all still around from the original group and Frostbite has been a good addition to the team. Starbolt, Shade, Cassandra, and Q will be fine additions as well though I don't understand why the one wants a blank face..." the original Killian thought in his personal quarters laid back on his bed with his arms behind his back. Deciding to travel, Ditto surfs the neural network of the duplicates. There's a total of four in the base including one stationed in the monitor room and another in the teleporter room. "There's the one..." the original Killian thought with a glimmer in his blue eyes as his conscience and duplication power were transferred to that of the duplicate in the teleporter room [making it the 'new' original]. The other duplicate didn't mind being the one relaxing in the hero's personal quarters. He even lucked up and found some barbecue chicken in Killian's mini fridge. "Alright then. Where to, Ditto?" he thought to himself before teleporting to the edge of the Star City Park now also sporting civilian clothes and terrestrial contacts to appear more human. Only the outer points of the Park around the edges really had any kind of structure, the deeper into the woods the more animals, less trails, etc. as well as the Justice Tower closer to the center. It made New York's Central Park look like somebody's backyard by comparison and was almost five times the size. Killian walked out of the park like any other human, nobody really noticing him materialize behind a few trees. He pulls out what Shock once called a cell phone to check the time. 11: 26 am "It's still too early..." Killian thought with the blue irises in his contacts flaring like his eyes normally do without them. Across town.... "There's a fraction of cops still in the city, not nearly enough to watch all twenty two banks," a man in a blue coat commented, "..and the Flash is back in Central City. You ready for a big score, Mick?" asked the now visible Captain Cold aka Leonard Snart. ~KL~

The more and more this guy talked, the more and more pissed off Tea was getting. 'I'm just trying to be helpful, dammit! Maybe a little freaking courtesy for a teammate?! Or maybe I miscalculated and he's not a teammate. Just some asshole who works here. Nah, that's stupid' Tea continued to rant in her head when the other woman in the room spoke up, and to Tea's utter amazement, she could understand her. She had no idea what language this woman was speaking or if this was a function of her armor or just something to do with her past, but Tea could understand it soooo... okay? She definitely had to fiddle with that later. Turning her attention back to the guy she decided to call "The Mouth", she listened as he began to (or continued to) prattle off intricate facts and details about this woman's, who she now knew was called "Cassandra", past. It was probably around here that the last traces of Tea's nervousness were replaced by shakes of anger. As someone without a past, Tea knew how precious it could be and how far one would go to keep it a secret. So to just have some guy spew it out like that, ESPECIALLY in front of other people, was just unacceptable. Flashes of how to shut Mouthy up kept flashing through her mind, from sewing his trap shut to just breaking his jaw (although she did have the clarity to acknowledge 50% as really dark, 20% as what the fuck? and all of them as unacceptable solutions to what could very well be your next partner). She neither knew or cared where these "solutions" where coming from, but managed to stay her hand. Particularly when Cassandra began voicing what was pretty much Tea's opinion. As Cassandra began to leave, Tea's anger started abating and a chuckle started to rise in it's place as the idiocy of this whole thing was kind of amusing... buuuut then Mouth had to shoot off one last time "I discovered all that with little more than a cursory search after I discovered we would be team mates. Imagine what I will dig up now you have caught my attention. Something to consider". As Cassandra left, Tea merely walked up to the prick and slapped him square across the cheek, before exiting herself. Although she did throw a qucik "Fucking arrogant jackass" over her shoulder before disappearing around the corner, rapidly making her way back to her room, where a panic set in at having physically assaulted a teammate over a dispute she wasn't even part of, right in front of a Ditto clone, no less! Gods, she was in so much trouble...

An Outsider A Glorious Failure

I am, and probably always will be, someone who regular people will always struggle to understand. Admittedly I could try to make things easier for them by forcing myself to communicate with them in a fashion they are more accustomed to, but I absolutely refuse to degrade myself in such a way as that would necessitate me speaking in animal like grunts. My metaphorical high horse does have its own disadvantages though, the aforementioned difficulty in making myself understood chief amongst them. At this stage in my life I have grown used to the myriad responses the plebeians choose when I confound them. Some become jealous, realising my intellect will always tower above theirs. Others grow annoyed, attributing my unique skills and attitude to little more than fulfilment for some superiority complex I suffer from, (The truth is I do have a superiority complex, but I would hardly describe it as a bad thing, especially as I am superior.). Some few show respect for me, which is the preferred, though sadly less used, response. Occasionally the response is physical violence. Since the dawn of time man, and woman, has had a depressing predilection for employing violence when confronted with something new and unknown. Unfortunately I usually qualify in both categories, but despite how often I am subjected to violence I am never quite prepared for it. That's my excuse for getting slapped, and I shall stick to it. “Ooooouuuf!” is the noise I make as Tea's hand makes connection with my face, powerful enough to make me stagger a few paces. My own hands goes to my face, probing the impact zone. She might have broken one of my teeth, the left rear-bicuspid to be exact. A peril of being struck by a woman in a metal suit. Deduction; That. Hurt. I make a point of straightening my tie and lapels, presentation being key after all. A catch a glimpse of Armoury striding away down the hall. Note to self, her reaction bears investigating. . . Though perhaps I will allow her some time to 'cool off' before delving to deeply. “Interesting.” I mutter.
