The dawn of a new day, and the streets of New Torrea were already bustling. Everyone was trying to either get to their jobs by pushing aside anyone who stood in their way, or trying to sell trinkets and ends by the street. Of course, that was the situation of the parts where money wasn't as abundant. Near the castle, and all the houses surrounding it, peace reigned. All of them were looking down on every other district of the city, almost laughing at them, saying 'You poor souls'. Of course, many felt like that, but many of them thought that what Donat was doing was righteous, that everyone would become richer than ever before with the expansion... Poor, poor souls, living in deception. All around the city, several posters were hanging on the walls, just BEGGING for some attention.
'Recruiting! Anyone interested in a job involving action, adventure, and many other things, feel free to come to the gate of the capital before tomorrow's afternoon! We will be waiting for you! Signed, Hazael of the Triumvirate.'
Though it was among many others, this paper in particular was quite flashy and eyecatching. Why? Well, firstly, because fo its color. Bright red, the kind you just can't forget once you see. Then, there was the illustration that came along with the text. A spider, a really big and dangerous looking one, a monster, most likely. And lastly, the one who posted this. Hazael, the well known Knight Lieutenant Commander. A single question came to mind, though, why would someone like her actually ask help of complete strangers, rather than the same military she was a part of? Definitely odd and off-putting for many, while others may just take the job without much thought. At the same time, a man passed by, with a cigarrette in his mouth.
"Uwah, she really did it. What is that girl hoping to accomplish, gosh?" The blonde sighed with exhasperation and brought his hand to his face. He seemed really irritated. "Doesn't she trust us at all? We also got out pride as knight, you know. We barely need anyone else, besides, we are also going back to visit Uriah and Isabel after such a long time... I just hope her instinct is spot on, or I myself would thrash her around." Astarte, the youngest of the Triumvirate says, while slamming his fist on his open palm, before visibly losing his confidence. "Yeah, right, as if that were possible." He sighed again, took the cigarrette off his mouth, tapped on it to make the ashes fall off and put it back into his mouth. "Well, whatever suits her highness right, I guess." To be noted, Astarte was at that rebellious age. Still, what Astarte, and maybe several others too, didn't notice, are the small letters. The kind that you never read, because it is too much of a pain or otherwise, however, anyone who'd spare some of their time to read them, they'd find out that it is, in fact, lots of rubbish. Letters just put together at random. However, is that really so? In there, a message is hidden, between the waterfall of trash letters. Anyone with the issue at hand still floating over their head, would easily spot it. 'Donat betrayed the kingdom' A heavy accusation, one for which they'll probably have Hazael's head for, if they are ever able to make out the hidden message, though it is not that well hidden.

New Torrea
Tsubasa
This place was too good to be true. The bustling streets, the crowd of people; the pristine quarters of the nobility, the merchants loudly hawking wares and doing swift business in the trade districts, the knights in their shining armor marching here and yon on their showy patrols. New Torrea was a beacon upon a hill, thriving with business and life, happy and clean. Tsubasa wrinkled his nose beneath the white fur trim of his black hood. It was due for a crash any day now. The king had made this place prosperous, but now he was on his deathbed. The Prime Minister's new policies were expanding the kingdom, laying down foundations for enterprises that, in theory, would bring even more wealth and power to the land. But like herds of wild beasts, countries and peoples had a glass ceiling. At some point, the boundary would be crossed. Resources would dry up, a vacuum of power would bring bloodshed, the common people would suffer and the nobility would hide and pray while their magnificent mansions were stripped and looted and burned down around their ears. Perfect for business. The fluttering red paper caught Tsubasa's attention. He stopped to look it over. Hunting some sort of dangerous creature? Why would the knights be asking commoners to do that? And why with such a flashy flier? As he raised an eyebrow and leaned closer in curiosity, however, he caught the hidden text. He'd learned a little bit about codes and espionage in his line of work. After a few moments of thought, ignoring the occasional jostle of some city-goer against his shoulder, he thought he had it figured out. Donat. That was the name of the Prime Minister, wasn't it? He smirked. Looks like the diving spiral is starting already. Wordlessly touching the hilt of the sword hidden beneath his coat, the hooded man in black headed for the gates...

Yunan ~ The Weaver New Torrea Yunan had been here before, to be more precise he had been here during last night as he entered the Kingdom late last night as his arrival had been delayed with several stops from bandits. It had been tricky but he had managed to fend them off and still arrive relatively on time considering his circumstances on the road. In the day the kingdom was sure busy considering the amount of bustling noise and activity that were going on. With this amount of activities there would be no doubt that he would find what he was looking for, as his eyes were wandering around searching for something... New Torrea was a place renowned for its technological advances and he had came here searching for an answer to his problems, but with the situation with the king and his mysterious illness doubt was placed in his mind. Yunan was doubtful that if a kingdom couldn't cure their own king, how could they have what he needed for his situation? He had sighed before looking around the bustling kingdom and into a general goods store where he was going to buy supplies when a red flyer had caught his eyes, he had taken a note of it to read it when he left. Inside the store he did his business and bought what he needed and a little bit along with a glass mirror. It was something unusual that caught his eye that made him want to buy it and so he did along with the supplies that he had gotten. Once he had exited the shop he remembered the red flyer that once again had caught his eyes and went on over to look at why such a flyer would call so much attention. Upon see the flyer the arachnid on it caught his attention before he eyes saw the jumbled up letters but decided to read the bigger majority first. After reading the recruitment part, his eyes wandered down to the jumbled letters and he began studying them wondering if they meant something. Which they obviously did or they wouldn't be here... most likely but either way it had taken him a good minute some pondering he discovered he was reading it the wrong way. Instead of ''Donat betrayed the kingdom'', he had read the thing going backwards and was awfully embarrassed that he didn't notice sooner. However, he quickly got over that as the name of who had posted the flyer perked his interest, as it was Knight Lieutenant Commander or also known as Hazael. It would be interesting to finally meet the Knight Lieutenant Commander in person rather than hearing about her, so Yunan left the flyer and decided to wait for when the recruitment will start.

Bristlebane was just minding his own buisness when suddenly his vision was assailed by a vibrant red color nearly as attention grabbing as himself flaied around in the wind and stuck upon his face. He carefully detangled himself from the strange parchment and exaimned its contents, it appeared to be a job request of some sort, ohhh action and adventure, and for some reason it had a jumble of text at the bottom, didn't make any sense to him so he threw it away. Bristlebane did love himself some action and adventure, unfortunatly it wasn't until tommorow. Alas, he contiuned his journey curious about the prospects the job offered, and on his way to a bar to play for some coins his 7th sense began tingiling and alerted him to the presence of magic, he wasn't sure how it worked yet but it had never failed before. Looking about he noticed the source attentivly looking at the very same annoyingly bright flyer he had just thrown away. Carefully Bristlebane subtly moved through the crowds of milling poeple and got a closer look. The man had a veeeeery shiny necklace, he wanted it. Bristlebane fake tripped putting his foot in front of the unknown persons and slamming into him. As they hopefully fell to the ground he would grab the mans necklace and rip it off while turning over landing with his back towards the stranger and stuffing the necklace into one of his many pockets.

Salazar woke to sunlight bursting through the drawn shades of the room he had been given by a local lord at court in New Torrea. His reputation had preceded him, not a strange thing to happen in cities such as these. As much as Salazar had wished anonymity, the exertion he would have had to endure to completely wipe his identity from the minds of the people would have put him in no state to travel for at least a year. Sighing gently and sitting up, allowing the naked lady that had been sharing his bed the night previous to gather up her underclothes and scamper from his sight, Salazar caught his reflection in the mirror. He had been wearing one of his favourite Masques the night previous, white hair and a thin scar that curled around his neck, and he watched it melt away. The flesh became less full and the returned to normal flesh. His hair suddenly shifted into brown and he was once again himself. He grinned, revelling too much in his power was something his teacher would quite often reprimand him for. Well…She was pretty. “Quiet Grim…” Oh you are so grumpy in the morning. “Because I always have to listen to some snide remark from you, dear teacher” Salazar gave a short growl and dressed in his customary attire; shirt and tie, black pants and a well worn in jacket. He had to look presentable today…there was court to attend to. --- Salazar strolled through the mingling nobles of the gathered court, a ball of some lesser noble attempting to gain favour from the stronger houses the vied for control of the merchants and land within the city. Salazar loved this game…he was a natural with his gifts. A simple riot of an aggressive emotion from one would incite a rambling argument, a quelling of fears could allow Salazar to illicit information from the tightest of lips. It was a help that Salazar could imitate the idea of consummate ladies’ man. Salazar gave short nods and curt smiles to the lords and ladies fulfilling their noblesse oblige. He felt nothing as he watched arguments cut down alliances in favour of more beneficial ones. He never really felt much when it came to the nobles…they were just secrets to be sold. He finally caught a conversation worth listening to. Shifting closer, he waited and listened. “Did you hear?” a whispering voice peeled out. “what?” “It’s hidden in those red fliers getting thrown out?” “The ‘monster hunting’ ones?” “Yes, the ones posted by Hazael of the Triumvirate…Donat is a betrayer” The gasps gave Salazar his sign to leave. Hazael…Salazar smiled and clenched his fist gently, a small blue bird coalescing from the energy in his fist “fly to Hazael of the Triumvirate, inform her that I will be joining whatever investigation she is planning.” The bird nodded and shot into the air above the nobles, flying off to find its target. “This will be fun…” I agree….

Dante Dante was working on his forge, making trinkets and weapons for travelers who requested. It seemed awfully busier as of late, with Kingdown Expansion came the need for tools, and he had to deliver. He just returned a gun to a new customer, who needed the handle fixed. However, Dante took his time, disassembling it and examining how it worked, before fixing and returning it. The prospect of forging a gun was always so exciting! After wiping his brow, beaded with sweat from the heat and work, he noticed a poster on the wall, alarmingly red colored. "Hm? What is this?" he said, reading the big poster, then looking at the small writing. "I'm afraid I can't decipher this just yet..." Dante muttered, taking the poster and going inside to properly examine the small text. He left a sign that said, "Out for lunch!" although if someone looked enough, they could see his thin frame's shadow in a window, peering over something.

@Eklispe Bristlebane had definitely had taken Yunan by surprise however upon contact and pressure during mid-air a yellow barrier appeared that surrounded Yunan. It had knocked away the assailant considering what he was trying to do, which was obviously trying to knock Yunan over. However, It was obvious that it would take more than simply the body to take down Yunan. To Yunan the spell that surrounded him, was an automatic spell that Yunan had came up with that required only the assistance of his Golden Staff that he carried around, as people around who noticed the two could see the thing shimmering faintly as it was supply energy for the barrier before it had went transparent. It was obvious that the magical shield was still up, as now that his assailant at such close range could see the space was subtly warped around Yunan indicating the barrier. Yunan's assailant had chosen the wrong person to steal from, however he decided that he would let them off easy... considering they haven't done anything bad, yet. So with his staff it gathered its energy taking its time before the staff shot down a tiny green orb into the ground right beneath the ground where Bristlebane was knocked back to. The green orb had grown vines from the feet of his assailant and had slowly crawled up from his feet and up to the top. The vine gave little resistance and was relatively easy to get out of it you had at least a little bit of strength, the rate of travel of the climbing vines were also slow giving Bristlebane more than enough time to escape. With him busy, Yunan waited to see what the man would do with his spell slowly entangling him.

A white gloved hand plucked Astarte's cigarette out of his mouth, putting the tip into a skull headed pipe clamped between sharp grinning teeth as Cassie eyed the young boy, monocle glinting in the sun before she handed the cigarette back. Such brazen behavior towards a knight, let alone one of the Triumvirate, was something most would never dare. But then, few dared what Cassie dared. She puffed the pipe, letting a trail of smoke bleed out from her teeth as she cocked her head, the massive Howler Cannon strapped to her back clanking against the ammo bag. She smelled heavily of cordite, smoke, gun oil, and black powder. Odds are she'd just finished morning drills with her platoon, or maintenance on the Howler, or any number of things involving her beloved cannon. She spoke way too loudly, causing several passerby to give curious glances as her voice carried across the square. "Goooood morning Sir Astarte. Isn't it a bit early to be getting worked up over your sister's little event? Actually, keep going. You're pretty freaking cute when you're ruffled." The bombardier's jackal grin widened as she gave a salute, still 'technically' following protocol. As a sapper, she was quite low in the military, after all. She took a long drag as she eyed the piece of paper, having already seen about 16 others around the city. You'd have to be deaf and blind to not pick up the hidden message that was so absolutely poorly hidden within the letters, or to hear the whispering from the citizens who had noticed it. While Cassie was most definitely deaf in her left ear from the Cannon, she was certainly not blind. Especially since the subject had been on her mind for days now. Still, it would be best to avoid bringing the subject up, especially around Hazael's brother. Her amber eyes flitted back to Astarte, the grin remaining as she puffed the pipe. "I take it by the grumblings and threats of assault upon your sister that you will NOT be joining the event? You wouldn't happen to know anything about it? I'm curious myself."

Chloe Magnolia Chevalier stood in the shadow of an alleyway, the dim light partially hiding her from view as she eyed the passing crowds with growing apprehension. The bag on her back shuddered slightly in response to her growing disquiet. Chloe was not in a good position and she knew it. Her father, the retired knight commander Callahan Chevalier had just recently survived an assassination attempt by an unknown political faction. Well, that was what the letter that she had received had said anyway. However she had her doubts as to how 'unknown' that faction truly was. If you knew who to ask there was always someone who could enlighten you, often for a price. It was no secret that her father, a fervent royalist was a staunch supporter of the king. He followed the code of chivalry almost to the letter and would lay down his life for his liege. And retired or not he had influence at court. And the loyalty of his men. That might have had something to do with it. But Chloe had been away for a long, long time. The political game had become a distant memory to her. It was a game she despised. And then there were the rumors. The rumours were unsettling to say the least. The king was dying it was said and prime minister Donat had taken the reigns of state in his absence. Chloe didn't care about that. The power plays of nobility were of no interest to her. But if anyone of them had hurt her dad there would be hell to pay. They would find out how lethal a paper cut could be. Chloe stilled her breath for a few heartbeats to regain her composure and reasserted dominance over the contents of her bag. Her bag grew still and silent. She looked at the note in her hand one more time. She didn't care too much about the message itself, only the name attached to it. Lieutenant Knight Commander Hazeal. Chloe had never met her but she vaguely recalled the name. Whoever she was Hazeal would provide her with answers. They might not be the answers that she wanted to hear but that was beside the point. But there was something else that she needed to do first. Chloe stepped out of the alley and strode over to the smithy across the way, its door was closed and a note announced lamely that the owner was out for lunch. Chloe knew that that was not true, she had watched the man enter only moments before. He had looked distracted. Or thoughtful. It hard to tell. She supposed he did not want to be disturbed. This had no bearing on her thought process however as she knocked loudly on the door. “I need you to make me something and I'm willing to pay double,” Chloe announced to the closed door as a single sheet of paper obediently found its way into her hand. It was a simple diagram with simple instructions. It showed a picture of rods made of reinforced steel. She had a thought. “I could read the poster for you if you want?”

Bristlebane to his surprise was rejected by the presence of some type of barrier and he fell to the ground, it seemed the mage was either incredibly observant or had passive defenses, since most mages were lazy most likely the latter. Then to his great fascination, vines began emitting from a green orb and started crawling up his legs and encasing his bod. He wondered how far they would creep before they stopped, a gentle and subtle tug informed him that he could get out if he wanted, but he decided against it and simply adjusted his hat and flipped the card in it to a jester of diamonds. He began conversation with the mage, "Well hello there, my name is Bristlebane travelling Troubadour at your service, I do apologize for my misconduct one of THESE BUNDLING SCOUNDRELS bumped me ever so rudely into your defenses." Bristlebane said blatantly lying to the mages face and showing no sign of it., then he paused and glanced at the vines again. "By the way just how do these vines of yours work, do they grow by themselves or do you have to constantly use magic, can you control how they grow? Oh oh can you make a pillow and blanket out of them? I bet they would make an amazing sleeping place, and if you covered yourself with them you would be practically invisible." Bristlebane spat out the questions in rapid fire. If there was a thing Bristlebane wanted to do more than anything else it was learn how to use magic.

Ralena stood before one of the many advertisements. Recruiting... The young woman in her armour and battle attire studied the paper for some moments, before deciding to see what this was all about. Taking one last look at the paper, Ralena began to make her way through the streets. What's this all about?

Dante Dante heard a loud knocking interrupt his thoughts as he was browsing the jumbled letters. Sighing, he stood, about to answer the customer, when they mentioned, "I can read the poster for you if you want?" they called. Dante quickly opened the door, giving the customer a studious look. "Ah, you saw me I guess? Well, I would appreciate it, I can't read the jumbled letters..." he said, looking at the poster he brought out with him. "Anyways, you can talk to me about the poster while I work on whatever it is you want. I should be able to get the job done." He said proudly, looking at his blazing forge.

“Oh it's no problem, I am the one inconveniencing you after all,” Chloe said nonchalantly as she channelled magic into the poster that she herself was carring, causing it to float in the air just above her hand so that the writing was pointing roughly toward the blacksmith. She paused for a second as the thought occurred to her that that had not been the wisest of things to do in front of a stranger, not everyone reacted to magic in the same way. Sometimes it could go really badly. But usually, not so much. The poster coiled up and around her arm like a snake and wove its way into her backpack, disappearing inside with a rustle. “It's a message, you know, sort of hidden in the words, it actually took me a little while myself,” she said humbly. Chloe leaned against the wall and looked sidelong at the smith. “It's an accusation, kinda, it's saying that your dear sweet prime minster has been a very naughty boy. I guess if that bothers you then you, I don't know, you could do something about it.” Chloe watched as he went about his work. Depending on how you looked at it what he was doing was no different than magic, he took an idea, shaped it in his mind and then made it real. She was kind of surprised he hadn't asked her why she needed steel rods/ She was grateful for his professional discretion.

Dante "Well, I've no problem with the Minister, but there have been rumors about some... wrongdoings on his part. Perhaps I'll look into this adventure." Dante said, watching in awe when she projected an image of the blueprint. "Interesting design..." He murmured, immediately getting to work and hammering on steel in the specified shape. "Anyways, what brings you to New Torrea?" Dante asked nonchalantly, attempting to make small talk while he worked.

Avon Ruhame
At another spot in the city, near a flower peddler and a cobbler there was a bulletin board type of wall, and across it were an array of job offers and other posters, plus one really obnoxiously red one near the center. Avon found himself giving these posters a good once-over, he needed a temporary job and was hoping to find something both fun and well-paying. Unfortunately those two usually don't come hand-in-hand, which usually meant he had to choose between them. Usually he would choose something that payed better, but now he was in the mood for something not existentially boorish. This was ok, though, because the obnoxiously red one had everything but boring all over it! Now, Avon wasn't too great of a reader, not having used that skill in almost half a year unless it came to signs with one to two words on it. But he could work out the poster for the most part. It took him a few minutes and many re-readings but he finally got the words down. It was definitely a job offer, one that had everything you would find in the beginning of some story parents would tell their young. It had a cool symbol that was easy to remember, offered fun and adventure, and the person offering had authority! Now, our young man has never met Hazael, but he heard about her from his father. He really looked up to her, and would have had no problems making her and her men their equipment. There was a bunch of gibberish at the bottom of the poster, Avon also gave that quite a look-over. But due to him only having rudimentary reading and writing skills in the first place he wasn't able to decipher it at all. It bothered him a bit, and gave him the motivation to refresh his readings skills and attempt to brush up, but he would eventually be ok with it. It didn't mean much to him, because planned on going to the gate for the meeting anyway. Hell, he could probably ask someone about it tomorrow and they'd be able to explain it to him.

Astarte
The boy was surprised when his cigarrette was suddenly taken away from him. The one behind it was Cassie, a girl he had heard about before. He wasn't as low as her in the military, though, given that he was about just two ranks below his sister, and he was quite proud of being called Sub-Lieutenant. So much, that it went way over his head. And also, he didn't like being called cute. "Cassie... May I ask what all this is about? Insubordination, perhaps? How dare you call someone in a higher rank than you 'freaking cute', huh!?" Well, he wouldn't mind being talked to with such disrespect weren't it for the fact that she called him cute. Not manly at all, not at all, and it pissed him so much that he wasn't as manlier as his sister, even though she looked so frail and he looked sturdy and way taller than the average joe, so how in the seven hells was he 'cute'?!. He soon recovered his composure and cleared his throat. "Of course, I'll take part of the 'job', as my siters calls it, though it is more of a 'mission', actually. And a family visit, actually." He then grinned at Cassie's question. He knew some things about it, yes, though her sister was the one that knew all of the details because he couldn't be bothered by them. "A monster, commonly known as 'Arachnoblaster', has appeared in the woods. Donat has asked us to eliminate it and bring its corpse back to study it. It seems it produces a strong kind of silk that can hardly be broken by even a sword, and it also is able to launch fire from its mouth. Quite an interesting catch, if you ask me." He says, laughing a bit. He was really looking forward to fighting it, after all, he barely got to fight any monsters lately.
Hazael
Leaning against a wall, Hazael waited for anyone that actually came to her to talk about the job. The badly hidden secret message had probably scared everyone off. Her short, thin frame made her seem as any other regular civilian, maybe even someone that wasn't eating all that well, but the fact that she was also wearing designer made clothes made the thought of her being poor fly away. Maybe a metabolism problem? Anyhow, it was deifinitely offputting, however, the huge silver sword hanging from her back. A wonder how she could carry it around and not seem tired at all. She was about to resign and go back to her house when a bird approached her. She definitely recognized this magic, so she heard attentively. A message telling her someone would actually go to the job request. It made her happy and she nodded at the little illusory bird. Well, she might as well stay there for a bit more, before giving up all hope. Still, was the info she received from Nijiara accuarate? That Donat would stop being so passive... It really worried her, mostly by the fact that, how the hell did their mage of the court got a hold of such information?

Nex was bored, so very, very bored. He was walking the streets of New Torrea, looking for something fun to do, when he saw a bright ed poster on the wall. He walked up to it, taking a moment to piece together what it may have been about, he smiled. Fighting a giant monster was always fun, so very fun. Now then, to find the area where he was supposed to meet this Hazel person. He walked around for quite a bit, asked some directions, hit a few dead ends, and almost got mugged a couple of times(it didn't end well for the muggers), but he finally found where the meeting sight was, and by the looks of things so far, was the only one to have arrived so far. Walking over to the lady that seemed to be waiting for people, he held out the poster in front of him, a wide smile on his face as he did so. "It says here that you need some help fighting a monster, well , Nex here wishes to help. I'm really good at fighting monsters, like, extremely good. So, are we waiting on other people to show or what. Oh, and are you the Hazel person that put these out, or just someone else who found a flyer?"

Approaching the area near the gates, Ralena looked around to see if she could see who had put the posters out for the adventurous mission or quest. Eventually she saw two people near a wall and one of them had one of the advertisements she had seen before. Looks like this is the place. However, Ralena had no intention of joining this group and only wanted to see what their plans were. She walked over to a building opposite of where Hazael was and sat down on a bench. Soon enough, Ralena would see who these people were and if they were true warriors or not. Until then, Ralena pulled a small packet of papers from her pocket and began to do some reading. All the while, she was relatively observant of the area around her. The streets, people going in and out of the nearby buildings. The only place Ralena didn't have a good view of was the roof of the building directly behind her. The bench she was sitting on was right next to the building. Nonetheless, she flipped through some pages while waiting to see what would happen.

Moving through the bustle of the city slowed him significantly; by the time he got to the gates, there was already someone speaking to the well-dressed woman with an overly large blade who must have been the contact. The poster had said she was a knight commander or something of the sort, and despite her slight frame she did have the look about her of one who had seen a lot of combat. The sword at her back had been well used and well maintained. The other person talking to her looked to be a young man with a...somewhat disturbed look to him. Tsubasa slowed his gait by a half step, using the extra time as he walked towards them to analyze the area. He took note of every entrance, every exit, every door to every building. Which street was most crowded, which was empty, which nook would hide him and which cranny would give him away. Someone was sitting on a bench, appearing to read. But their observation skills weren't half bad; he'd used that method himself a few times, and it required a great deal of subtlety. Competition...or perhaps, the news that he was being targeted had already reached Donat, and he had dispatched some of his own agents? Though his eyes were hidden beneath the rim of his hood and the white, puffy fur lining around it, Tsubasa kept the observer in the corner of his sight as he approached Hazael and Nex. "'Scuse me. I'm here about that same flier." he spoke up, loud enough for them both to hear him. "I'm not that great at monster hunting...but I'm good at getting jobs done." He looked meaningfully at Hazael. "So, care to explain a little more about this job?"

Lord Captain Farrow It was early, Damon always awoke early. In actual fact he wasn't expected to be at his post for another two hours but he liked to be early and he didn't like the newest guard, a cocky young man who was good at his job but always seemed too relieved after a night shift. He stood up and got dressed, put on his armor and pulled the belt holding his sheath tight before trying it still. He looked at his appearance in a mirror and began heading down the stairs. His staff had already prepared breakfast and were just finishing the table placements. There were two, at the one end was his seat and at the far other was his mothers seat, but she almost never left her room after the death of Damon's Father and brother. "I don't know why you insist on cooking a full breakfast you know I will never eat." he sighed to his manservant, an old man named Keel, with a smile. Damon had liked Keel as he had never changed, even after the death of his late master he remained sure in his duty and always going the extra mile for Damon to make sure the boy wanted for nothing. Keel had looked after him when he was young and never really stopped. "Look, you and the staff enjoy a hearty breakfast, I will just have a slice of meat." he said heading into the kitchen and doing exactly that before stepping out into the cool morning air. He felt like today would be a good day, that was until he saw the flier. He thought nothing of it until he read the fine print. 'What was she thinking!' he thought 'If the Prime-minister hears of this then It will be civil war!' he then allowed himself a cuss and muttered "I had better confront her... before I'm forced to fight the kingdom to keep the king alive!" with another muttered curse he gripped his sword tightly and set off to find the Knight Lieutenant Commander. The gates to the city would require a detour, more like he was going a great distance out of his way, but he still had time and this was big... "Commoners messing with affairs of state never end well!" he growled through gritted teeth as he set off from the peaceful of the nobility to the hustle and bustle of the city, not having time to get some of his men to accompany him.
