I'm not the GM, but I have no problem with another player joining in the fun.

I think as long as you can come figure out who'd be good and interesting to play out of characters likely to interact with the Batfamily (or maybe come up with a decent OC although less sure) then you'll be fine. I'm not the GM either but it seems pretty likely Also I think we're all here unless @Corsair is coming back which would be nice.

aww, what were those ideas? I'm not sure what pace we need exactly, but I'm interested in what won't happen now.

So, @Polyphemus what character(s) would you consider playing? Or would you make an OC?

I was thinking maybe one of the classic rouges? I know the focus is mainly on the Bat Family here, but an external threat might be good. Or if you guys prefer I do a hero, maybe the Question (Sage, not Montoya).

Unfortunately playing a villain isn't really allowed right now.

The Question could definitely be cool, though hopefully it doesn't discourage any would-be Montoya players.

If the GM isn't cool with me doing Vic Sage, then I'm thinking my backup plan is Jean-Paul Valley.

This looks incredibly interesting. Hmm...When it comes to making OCs, how do you feel about OCs with major connections to established characters? (Like, say, blood relation to a member of Bats' rogue gallery?)

I'm not the GM and ultimately it's his decision and will be based more off the concept you come up with anyways, but as a player it makes me a little wary personally. In my experiences If not handled carefully that kind of thing can lead to mary sue-ness and plot hijack, sometimes totally by accident too. I mean right off the bat (huh, first Bat-pun of the RP) you're changing the backstory of a major character so that they have a previously non-existent kid which might be out of character, and you're coloring a lot of interactions that would happen with that villain and making it difficult for any plot involving them not to mandate a whole lot of focus on you. Granted, this RP takes place in an AU anyways, and considering most of us get our own episode(s) in the limelight plot hijack is a LOT less of a concern so really I'd say a lot of it is what you have planned, how well you can write up your concept and how well you handle the character. That and what the GM has planned for said character. Just my thoughts. Also in case it was part of said character concept, we aren't really allowed to do villains. Villains who are redeemable and might be permanently/semi-permanently good-ish guys like maybe the TANDEMs might be okay with GM approval though.
