It was another calm afternoon in the nice, historical, modern and classy city of Rome. People milled around their business, classes were over for the day and the common people on the street remained in blissful ignorance of the dangers that existed right around them, a danger fought in a secret war waged by magical girls. One such girl, Catherine, sat in a cafe in the "territory" claimed by her group. It was a nice little cafe, known as Zepelli's, and the girl was simply waiting, listening to music with a cup of coffee in her hands as she waited for the other girls of her group; fellow magical girls who had formed a group for companionship and teamwork.

Municipal District II - San Lorenzo Base
The hunt was dull. After five years of the same thing, wandering from city to city, nation to nation, exterminating the Errors, Tsukimon Arata had finally come to this conclusion. Initially it had been difficult, as it was with any activity one was new at, but after the first year the risky edge had begun to fade more and more with each passing day. Of all the Errors she had fought, only one stuck out in her mind, the one which she had failed to kill - and the one which had not killed her. Foolishness. Tsukimon closed her eyes, sitting with the left leg out and the other knee raised, resting her right arm across the knee and her back to a wall. The vacant warehouse Silva and herself had claimed in San Lorenzo was like the many others in this area - big, spacious and formerly used by art students from the near by University. They went unchecked by any local authority for the most part, and it had become a sort of tradition for students to turn these places into their 'studios' of work. It was a decent enough cover, even if she was the only one who could possibly pass for a university student...just. To help pass this off, Tsukimon had spent the better part of a week brushing up on her caligraphy and artistic skills to leave around the place on giant canvases in classic student style. If it were up to her though, the place would be spartan besides maybe a few beds and a kitchen area to work with. Heating and electricity were not a problem either. Mob money did wonders, and her grandfather was nice enough to treat her like a princess still. All in all, it was starting to look pretty homey, and that was not something Tsukimon was all too eager about. She was what errornet dubbed a 'Wandering Magical Girl', and she acknowledged this. At this rate however, she might just start becoming attached to the warehouse and her team. How frustrating. She had been making an effort to be a leader for this 'team' of theirs while at the same time remaining distant - but that was not going well. She lead, yes, but trying to remain professional and formal with the others was difficult. Marie and her cooking was mostly to blame. Damn Marie and her absurdly good cooking. A sigh escaped Tsukimon's lips, moving her mind away from such thoughts and onto nothingness, taking this peaceful moment to meditate...or sleep, depending on who you asked.

One thing that Jasmine had gotten really good at was maintain her 'James' form for longer and longer periods of time. Since she still had to attend school as a guy, she had to learn how to get through the school day without running out of magic. In the beginning, it was struggle; she had to take frequent bathroom breaks and spent her entire lunch period somewhere out of sight to recover what little magical power she could. She also had countless close calls, where she was slowly changing back in front of other people. Despite now having superpowers, her life was a nightmare. Granted things did start to get better; it became easier to maintain her male form, and she also found a therapeutic way to let off steam, destroying Errors. She also found a support group of sorts in the form of a Magical Girl team, something that felt really strange to Jasmine. Despite now having a female body, her mind was still very much male, and she was also approaching 'that' part of her life. Although she didn't really have any romantic feelings for any of them right now, it served as a bitter reminder that she'd never find a romantic partner. While she was still too young to be obsessing over something like that, she was still old enough that the thought that it was no longer possible for her was depressing. Being trapped in a girl's body was horrible for Jasmine, so much so that she hid her original gender from her teammates out of shame. 'It's sad really; mom sent me here in hopes of killing my dream to save me, and I end up in more danger then my dad was in at his job' Jasmine thought bitterly as she walked to the team's hideout; an apartment that Jessica had bought for them. It was insane really; the thought of a girl being from a family so rich that they could just give their daughter the money to buy an apartment. Reaching the door, she pulled out her key and unlocked the door "hey! Anyone here yet?" she asked as she entered

Adalina came walking into her favourite cafe in whole Rome with a slightly annoyed look on her face this afternoon. However, that changed rather quickly when she saw one of her comrades in arms and friends sitting at one of the tables, already enjoying the divine nectar of the gods, known as coffee. She waved at Catherine, walked over to the table and sat down across from her, letting a long sigh escape from her mouth as she leaned back and finally allowed herself to relax. "Did your parents tell you the same things over and over again, as if you were baby, when you still were living back in Canada, Cath? I swear, either my father has temporal amnesia whenever he's going on a business trip, or he thinks I'm still and will forever be 5 years old. 'Don't let any people into the house you don't know. No parties. No boys. The wine cabinet is taboo. Remember to brush your teeth at least twice a day. Don't stay up too late. No playing around with your friends until you've done your homework. Oh and of course, no boys'. It's like a broken recording, which just repeats itself over and over again." Seeing as her friend already had something to drink, Adalina waved the friendly woman in her early twenties known as Maria, who worked at the cafe, over to them to order something herself. "Good afternoon, Maria! Could you get me a cup of coffee too, please? The smell of Cath's will just make me drool all over the table otherwise. Oh and Cath, do you think we should get some cake right away, too? The double chocolate colossus looks especially delicious~"

"Hey." Sam was the first to greet Jasmine as she entered the apartment, though she didn't bother looking up at the other girl's arrival either. She was sat in the living room, leaned back in one of the arm chairs, quite contently reading a book. It was The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman, one of several books she had brought from home when she had moved into Jessica's apartment. "How was your day?" she added absent-mindedly, less because she actually cared about Jasmine's time at school and more because she just wanted to seem polite. Sam hadn't been to school for a couple of weeks now. What was the point, really? She had no real friends back in England, nor did she ever feel she'd ever be able to graduate, be able to go to college with decent grades and get a normal job. Or live a normal live, not that she wanted to. What was so great about being normal anyway? She'd been given this power thanks to Annie, and she was determined to make good use of it. And, after all, it was Annie who had suggested she come to Rome. "They've got more magical girls over there," Annie had once told her while the two had been sat at the computer. Annie, or QueenOfWands as she called herself online, had shown Sam the Errornet. It was like a support site for magical girls, teaching them about their powers, how they worked. It was pretty amazing, actually. Sam had gotten herself registered. As Annie had used the name of a Tarot Card for her screen name, Sam had done the same and registered under TarotIX. Tarot IX, the ninth card the major Arcana: the Hermit. "Why the Hermit?" Annie had asked, somewhat surprised. She had been sure Sam would choose something like the Magician, or maybe the Sun or Moon or Star cards. "Well..." Sam had mumbled in a somewhat embarrassed fashion. "My magical girl form sort of looks like the Hermit, doesn't it?" But in truth, the reason she had chosen the Hermit had nothing to do with looks. Now, Sam sighed to herself as she turned the page of her book, pushing away depressing thoughts and hoping to lose herself once again in a world of magic and wonder.

"I'll say it again: What the hell do you mean by 'I'm sorry I bumped into you'?! Are you even a man?! Take responsibility! Tell me to my face that you're looking to pick a fight with a 14 year old girl!" The man looked around nervously, finding him surrounded by a large group who would probably take the girl's words at face value. The crowd that had formed watched with rapt attention at the confrontation between the young teenager and mid-20s salaryman. "But... I didn't mean to bump into you. It's a big crowd. And I'm apologizing," the man said hesitantly. "So you're trying to get my attention so you can sex me, you sick pervert?! SELF DEFENSE OVERDRRIVE!" the girl shouted indignantly, before performing a well formed if heavily improvised kick into the man's leg, the man falling over with a grimace. "What the f- OW! God damn it, what did I do to you?!" "Insult my honor!" the girl replied, giving him a light tap to the head that would knock him conscious. Murmurs about the damn sex offenders in this town and where to get the self defense classes she was taking went unnoticed as Caligetta strolled into the nearby cafe: Zepelli's. She sat down at the only table with familiar faces and greeted her comrades with a nod. "Could you add another coffee please? Two sugars. And milk."

Jessica had left the school and made a stop on her way home and left the store clutching a sack in her arms. She'd gotten a couple weird looks as she carried it through the streets, towards the apartment, but she paid them no mind. Jessica arrived at the apartment a short time later, still holding the sack in her arms, only to set it down long enough to fish her key from her pocket. She opened the door behind the younger girl and stepping in, clutching the sack in her arms. Closing the door behind her with her foot, she greeted the other two, "Good afternoon. How was school today girls?"

Lila sat in her new 'home' looking over one of the many books that she had 'acquired' in the last six months. The rest of her collection was piled around her in the section of the warehouse she treated as her own, private quarters. A pair of her imps moved to sort and pile the tomes in a somewhat orderly fashion, so that Lila might be able to return to them when needed. The two growled and mumbled back at each other as they bumped and ran into one another again and again, coming to blows before a mere irritated glance from their mistress set them back to their work. With a sigh, the girl turned back to her book, it was a piece on the post modern system that had grown to be called Chaos magick, it was simple enough to understand, but like so many other grimoires and manuals she had read, each new revelation only lead to further questions, which could only be answered by finding older, more indepth books on the subject of magick. Ever since she had been rescued, and her powers awakening, she had felt that this new world she was a part of, must in some way be studied and better understood. What better way than to look at the works of those who claimed to master more traditional forms of magick? She had no idea if they were right or not, but according to the books, that was irrelevant. All that mattered was will, faith, and sacrifice. Be it time, sanity, blood, or life, all power demanded sacrifice. She was determined to discover what sacrifice she was making for hers.

Silvia sat in her space in the warehouse. She wasn't really sure what she wanted to do, as she had no interest in the books Lila got, her morning training was over, and she wasn't in the mood to harass Maria to play a game with her. It would have been better if Lila got political books instead of wasting her time trying to figure out the impossible. Oh well, it was her life, not Silvia's. Just sitting here was boring, and she wasn't going to do it any longer. . . . Sadly, there literally wasn't much she could do. She did have a few things in mind for the warehouse to make it a bit more fun, but she would have to speak to Tsukimon about that later. Until she could get that cool Foosball table she wanted, she would just have to deal with basic cable, and basic cable in Italy was really bad. Like, someone from America would probably go insane with basic cable here. However, it did have a news channel that had plenty of politics on it, so that would keep her entertained for a small while. On top of watching the television, Silviana began to think about the group she had at hand. All in all, it was a strong group, but it did lack quite a bit. Siliva herself could blowup almost anything in her way, but her weaknesses were obvious and fairly easy to exploit if she wasn't careful. Lila was a strong ally, especially since her ability allowed so much utility, but once again, her weaknesses could be exploited easy if she didn't want her patch. This was the same for both Tsukimon and Maria, even if Maria was more of a support player. Maria was arguably the most useful of the group, but she needed to think of ways to think of their shortcomings. TL;DR Basic cable in Italy is shit

"Just go there and greet the other magical girls, she said..." Cursing under her breath a young girl walking down Rome's streets kicked a few stones lying in her way. Eyes wide open, she scanned the streets for any sign of what she was looking for. "It's supposed to be easy, damn it!" Underneath her skirt she touched her flintlock pistol to assure herself of its presence. She had modified all of her weapons to be able to load a lot more safely and faster than the actual historical weapons could, but she still used the same ammunition for all of them, making them a lot more dangerous than regular bullets. Finally, after a whole lot of more walking, Makoto arrived at the building described to her. Shrugging she began to enter the building that looked uncannily like an old warehouse, however she sensed something trying to stop her from marching into that house. "Is that what she called a Magic Barrier? Ah, fuck this, I'm going in" She quickly transformed into a magical girl to easily pass through that barrier. "Oi, anyone in here?", she called out pointing her gun in front of her. "I was told this is a hideout for magical girls, am I right?"

Annie - USA Location: Muni XIII With a loud huff, Annie set her supplies out on the great wooden table before her and opened an old and dusty book to a marked page. She had attempted this drawing of the Earth card several times already and each one had seemed to get worse. She looked back over the drawings and imagined herself drawing the same border patterns and runic text in volumes like a twisted punishment forever and then pushed the thought aside before it could overwhelm her. Earth was grounding and solid and strong. And Patient, she thought and wrinkled her nose at the idea. Annie was not. Not when it came to her own skills. She wanted to move quickly and get on to one of the more fun elements like water or air. Those were about movement and action. But her grandmother had insisted that there was an order to learning just as there was an order to the seasons. "How could she flow like water if she could not stand on the ground that held it? How could she fly with air if she had no where to land? How could she learn to be strong if she had not learned to grow?" Her grandmother had annoyed her with her endless, answerless questions. And Mary Beth just smirked, even less helpful than her mentor. Ink met paper and Annie began again, twisting runes into stone and dirt into magic. The image of a mountain worked its way across the paper but would not be contained by her lines and shortly she had gone off the page again. It didn't make sense! She looked at the book and then back at her own. The mountain was definitely larger than the card, yet somehow it was contained in the master image but came unbound in front of her. She would never master it, she concede and pushed the paper away. She heard the front door of the apartment open and Mary Beth answered someone in the front hallway but Annie couldn't tell which of her teammates it was. They weren't really a functioning team yet, which was another frustration to add to the list. Moving to Rome had seemed to come with a lot of them. She flipped through the old, magic book as she waited for whoever had stopped by to find her.

Seren
Seren tapped the door lightly, and waited patiently for it to open. Soon enough, someone opened the door. "Ah, hello Miss Mary Beth," she said, looking at the older woman . . . girl. Magical Girl. Sigh, pronouns were so confusing when it came to things like this! Anyway, the girl was a veteran, definitely, and from what little she'd heard from Annie, it seemed like being a Magical Girl ran in her family, because Mary was trained by her grandmother. Seren was a bit envious; Annie had was in a very good position, as far as she could tell. She exchanged greetings with Mary and entered the apartment. "Hello? Annie, are you busy?"

"Munamu!~" Marie was busy making some sandwiches in her group's little slice of paradise. To use the term "sandwich," though, was an understatement. These were works of art on their own, each ingredient a standalone masterpiece. One single bite would cause a normal human's tastebuds to enter a state of euphoria that could not be reached any other way. Such was the power of these "sandwiches." When she had completed making them, she set them delicately on a platter, arranged symmetrically in a dignified fashion. This would be their snack to give them the strength they needed. "My friends, I have made us some sandwiches. Bon appetit!" She called out across the warehouse, hoping that she could bring her group together.

"A good day to you too, Caligetta. It's a good thing that we get more than enough exercise, or else I would have to be concerned about you putting on weight, with all that sugar you eat and drink." While Maria walked off to fetch them what they had ordered, Adalina pulled out her cellphone, went to the calender option and made a few notes here and there. "Anyway, as I was telling Cath just before you joined us, my father won't be home for at least a week, so unless you guys have other plans, who's up for a slumber party? Ahh, what am I saying, of course you have no plans! As if any of us could make such things since we got enlisted anyway...." A few minutes later Maria returned with the two cups of coffee and Adalina's chocolate colossus piece, which she gleefully started to devour, savoring every bite, as the chocolate bits melted slowly on her tongue, while the fluffy cream dissolved in mere seconds, leaving feelings of longing for the next behind. "Mhmmmmm.....I'm in heaven....." She glanced at the latte macchiato shaped clock and frowned slightly, since Hua Tsing was the last one to arrive again. Not that they had settled on a specific time, at which they would all come together, however they somehow always managed to appear at approximately the same time, as if they were governed by magic. A fact that was undoubtedly helpful, if they had to fight some Error again, however Adalina didn't like it. "So, while we're waiting for Huahaha, who will gladly pay for our orders I imagine, let's talk about serious business. Do you think Mr. Accorsi will ever man up and finally confess to Ms. Lorenzi? It's really getting hard to watch the getting fuzzy all the time, when they are near each other."

"Is this the will of that lunar god...?" The girl from Twaiwan China contemplated why they were arriving here at the same time. In the end it wasn't to far fetched, in the end they all enjoyed this little cafe. All of them arriving at once was a push, but at the same time school was over, so it seemed that they had compatible tastes. It seemed that their little group had good compatibility, and Hua was enjoying her time with them while she was in Rome. Still, this was a bit disconcerting. Shoving that aside, she walked in and promptly took a seat after greeting everyone there and apologizing for her interruption. It looked like everyone was present and accounted for, and they were just ordering coffee and snacks. As a regular here, Maria would probably know what she wanted and bring it to her in a few minutes. A situation involving an Error could potentially happen at any moment, so they had to be prepared. Having arrived just in time to hear the last few words of Corvi, she decided to interject her own opinion. "I think it's cute when a boy is like that, as long as the attraction is mutual. Aha, it's just like the characters from one of my favorite Chinese cartoons~" With her teas arrival, she took a sip and continued with her response. "But there has to be a point when he does get on with it. Things have gotten mundane and slightly awkward if their relationship has been like this so long. Just do something, I don't care what, you know?"

"There are no real men in this goddamn town. None of them have ever really worked a day in their life, if you get my meaning," Caligetta intoned. She sipped her sweet coffee with some degree of pleasure. "A real man wouldn't have waited this long to begin with, for one thing. He would have went up to her and- let me demonstrate here," Caligetta said, getting out of her seat, and grabbing Hua, dropping her into a forceful, pseudo-passionate kiss, before calmly disengaging and reseating the girl. "Force! Bravado! None of this pussyfooting about with 'does she like me' and poetry! Real manliness!" Caligetta only then realized she was making a scene and quietly sat down.

"You walk onto the another's property, armed, and proceed to ask questions? Not very polite... but cute, I suppose." Tsukimon answered Makoto, a certain level of chiding haughtiness carrying on her voice. The older girl more or less appeared from out of Makoto's peripherals, her presence sudden. The entrance of the warehouse still needed work, being both incredibly dull and somewhat dusty. Tsukimon's own part of the structure was somewhere near the back from the entrance, isolated by walls akin to an office cubicles, if higher in order to ensure more privacy. More of these wall 'units' were stacked up in several groups to the side of Tsukimon's makeshift room in order to put up as the group see fit. The bathroom was perhaps one of the only places with proper walls surrounding it to box it off from the rest of the warehouse, and understandably so. "You heard correctly, none the less. No need for this." She eye'd Makoto up and down, clearly referring to her weapon. "Do not just stand there, come an sit. We can talk more once we have some tea. Marie also made some food. We have a guest!" She called out to the rest of the warehouse. Tsukimon wandered off to the kitchen area of the base, simple in appearance much like the ad hoc walls. The dining area appeared to be four office/school tables put together. Makoto appeared ready for a fight while Tsukimon looked anything but, turning her back to a complete stranger and unarmed. Raised in a rather strict traditional gang family, her idea casual clothing was what most would consider formal. Were it not for the open blue dragon-patterned bomber jacket over her black yukata, then she'd appear anything but casual. The swordswoman paused, staring at the sandwiches which Marie had laid out in silent admiration and contemplation, then to Marie. "Thank you for the food, Marie. I am sure it will be outstanding, as always." She said in the best disinterested tone she could muster. A lot harder than it sounded - Marie's cooking was nothing short of divine, and keeping ones composure when trying it for the first time was...difficult. Tsukimon had managed it for the most part, other than the little sparkle that appears in her eyes every time she spots Marie's cooking. She began to dig through a cabinet, seeking some tea leaves.

Seen smiled as she moved to where Annoe was and waved sheepishly in greeting. "Er, hello Annie, good day to you," she said. "If you aren't too busy, I was hoping if you could help me with some thing . . ." Sent thing namely being her ability to conjure shields. So far, she'd not had much success with using it effectively when fighting Errors, so she'd thought that perhaps getting help from another Magical Girl would help greatly.

Catherine watched the antics of the other three girls while remaining silent, not responding to Adalina's rant about her father, only setting down her teacup and only removing her headphones after Caligetta meekly sat down upon realizing what a scene she was making. "Manliness and a chance of getting slapped and charged for sexual harassment." Catherine said. "HuaHua, if you want to sue her for stealing your first kiss I'll gladly be your witness." she told her without even knowing if that was actually even her first kiss. Setting down her headphones onto the table, she let out a sigh. "Nevertheless, I do feel like they shouldn't just be letting all that tension stay unresolved. Life's too short and there's no gain without risk. But whether or not he'll actually do it, I can't say. At least if he does we'll know."
