The corners of Conan's mouth lifted into a small smirk as the beast lost its iron-like hide. The fact that it fled excited him even more Its whole body now a nice, vulnerable target just begging to be filled with arrows. "Aye, woman!" His voice barely containing his excitement. He planted himself firmly on the ground and took a deep breath, as removed one of his few remaining arrows from his quiver and drew back the bowstring. The warrior woman was right the monster would go down soon enough. The arrow flew whistled through the arrow and buried itself right into the creatures flesh. Just like hunting back in the wilds, the beast was no more than prey now and once again he felt the role of the hunter. "Go back to the hell you dragged yourself from, you wretch!" In rapid succession he launched off every single arrow he had at the creatures exposed points.

Raffy’s legs burned and her lungs ached, but she continued to push herself onwards. Every moment, the monster closed the gap between them until he was in jaw-crushing distance. Raffy pushed her legs into the dirt, the heels of her boot making skid marks in the ground, and she catapulted in a different direction. She had hoped that changing direction so quickly would slow down the monster, assuming that its massive body weight – even though it was lighter than before, it was still heavy – would increase its momentum and make it almost impossible to stop. This was all speculation, of course, but even monstrous things have to follow the laws of physics, right? Raffy felt a twinge of doubt.

Everything was going just as Nariah had planned it in that snap decision. Soon the elf had caught onto her and there before the woman lied a smooth, glistening path of fresh, frozen ice, perfect to aid her momentum further, but of course not alone. Surely she couldn't just step out onto the ice in her heavy, steel greaves and expect to maintain a perfect balance. Worst case scenario, the warrior would slip up the instant her foot touched the hard, polished surface and on her ass she would be making a fool of herself, and unfortunately poor Nimblefingers would be in the stomach of the beast by then too. No, what she needed was the ice not to push herself forward...but her shield as well. "Alright! Here goes!" With a mighty grunt she threw the heavy shield onto the ice path and leaped onto it as it slid hastily down the way towards the lumbering beast, the chilled winds whipping past her ears with such velocity the frozen pathway carried her unto the massive creature. Once she was within range of the behemoth, she quickly sheathed her sword behind her back and brandished her war axe. Twas a small blade, but effective, especially for what she had in store next for the beast, an old trick when hunting mammoths upon the frost laden tundras of the old north lands. Without hesitation she dove unto the monstrosity and buried her axe deep into its thick hide, eliciting a horrid wail of pain from its infernal gaping jaws. It thrashed and writhed, the woman holding on for dear life. Luckily the blade never slipped, only serving to deepen its pronged shape into the flesh of the behemoth. Then, with a tight grasp onto it's skin, Nariah hoisted herself onto its mighty back and clawed her way towards its gargantuan skull. "Mage! Find some way to slow this bastard down! I'm going for its head!" She hollered to Finn before jamming her axe once more for a hold, slowly but surely making her way towards the creature's cranium, where one fell blow would be all she needed....if she could keep hanging onto the damn thing.

Finn heard Nariah's order's loud and clear. He was a good distance behind them but he was almost certain he'd have the range and power to do the spell he had in mind. He'd learned this spell from an old woman he'd met a year or two prior, one who had fed him after a nasty run in with some undead. She'd taught him the spell in case he was ever in a situation where something needed to be slowed down. He figured this was just that sort of situation. With look of concentration on his face Finn stood tall and spread his legs shoulder width apart. He pointed is empty left hand and his right hand with his staff at the beast and began muttering in Elvish. The winds began to pick up, sending a chill through the mage but as the winds reached the creature it began to slow. Finn was using a spell that was meant to freeze the muscles of any creature slowing it's advance or retreat.

Dorje pulled up to the wizard, hearing him work his magic as the beast began to slow. He stood three steps in front of the caster, closing his eyes and reaching out with his other senses. He felt the movement of the air around him, and dug his soles into the ash as he sensed the beast's rumbling slow. He tilted his head, frowning as he heard a growl coming from a burning shack fifty feet to the side, and heard another two of what he discerned as the smaller beasts from the other side. His eyes shot open and he sprinted toward the two on his left, closing the distance quickly and shouting behind him. "Cleric! Burning shack on your right! Protect the wizard!" he yelled as he ducked to slide under the first mongrel as it pounced, driving his heel up as he slid into the second one, feeling something crack as it yelped. Luckily, the one he dodged turned it's attention from the wizard, now he only hoped the healer could save the wizard as he pulled his staff in front of him again, splitting it in two, holding one in each hand in one of the more advanced stances of the great teachings, designed for fighting enemies on opposite sides of oneself. He stood, holding one piece of staff out, pointing them at the creatures as they circled, and closed hie eyes, relying on other senses as they attacked together, dodging one and using his momentum to swing a leg backwards, hooking his knee around one's neck, pinning it as he felt the other one leap for a bite.
