It wasn't long after Eli arrived and broke into to the now closed fast food joint that Karam showed up. He had no idea why he'd expected the place to be open. Still he was of a mind for a burger and fries. He giggle to himself when he found the place was left open and abandoned. He walked in the back, to the kitchen area and started to cook. He noted a flame broiler which there was some natural gas somewhere about. As he got everything preped and ready to go he heard a sound that could be a person. Elijah sighed due to the interruption of his repose. He walked quickly yet, without a sound. He located the noise coming from a walk in freezer. He flung the door open and made sure he couldn't be hit if who was in there had a gun. It turned out he was right as the a hail of automatic gun came when the door was opened.
When the firing stopped Eli stuck out two empty hands showing he wasn't armed. "Look, I'm not armed. Were cool, were cool. I just wanna talk okay?" The person didn't really respond as much as wail, sob and whimper. Keeping his hands in plain sight he moved the rest of his body in sight. He was ready to erupt if things didn't go smoothly.
What he saw scared him a little, a scared woman in an Army uniform. One fully armed for combat, scared with weapons made him uneasy. "Okay, we are okay, my name is Warrent officer Craigh, okay?" The woman lowered her gun and showed that her name was Gibson, and that was she was a lieutenant. "Alright, I'm gonna ask you a couple of questions, okay?" She nodded, still sobbing. "Do you have a smart phone handy?" She started to calm down a little and quickly handed him her cell phone." Awesome thank you. I'm gonna send you back to the FOB. I'm gonna send with a note to run up the chain of command. Are hit? Can you run?" He quickly slid her phone in his back pocket and helped her to her feet. He picked up her empty weapon ushered her out into the kitchen. "I can run." She said between the tears and sobs. He quickly dropped her weapon in a table and scurried off to get some paper and a pen.
When he came back a moment or two later, he wrote a small note and handed it to her. "Listen..." He had to think quickly about what would make the biggest impact on her. He had the advantage of her being emotionally comprised. "I'm former Delta Force, okay? I'm working for the CIA to get Ruby Greenfoot. Take this note and have whoever is calling the shots stop any bombing runs on the building, okay." He quickly pulled out a mag from her vest and loaded it into her weapon. The wrote on a sheet of paper his name, an ID number, his old Social Security number and the words "I got Ruby Greenfoot, stop all bombings."
He handed her the note and her weapon and told her to go, she did so without a second thought or word. The moment she left he went right back to cooking. But first, he played a [URL=https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QAURo0rwt6g]song[\url]. As he sung along he finished his cooking.
While he was eating he looked at the extoir of Apature. While there was no way to be sure he was almost certain Ruby would be at the top of the building. She was one for a view. He couldn't blame her, who didn't like a nice view? When he decided to attack from the roof he went out got some weapons and other items for a kit. A mid range rifle, plenty of ammo, flash bangs and a radio completed Karma's kit. Eli's was much the same save for the rifle. All he wanted his hand gun.
When Karma showed up he explained his idea. Once they agreed Eli tossed him his kit and explained that they were going to use the natural gas tank to get to the top of the building. He was also quick to explain that while could promise nothing would happen from the explosion or fire he was almost in his own for the landing. With all that they got kitted up and hopped on a natural gas tank that was outside. Once on top Eli waited for the tap on the shoulder that would signify Karma's readiness. When the tap came Eli put on his helmet and set the tank off. Guiding it to the top of the roof at breakneck speed, it was all Eli could do to let out a holler of excitement.
It was all going exactly according to plan when Eli came over the radio. "Operator, this is Tactical, KMAGYOYO!!" The military acronym for kiss my ass guys you're on your own. He jumped off the flaming rubble and dove head first into a concrete roof that was a lot thicker than he thought. He was happy that he flashed white hot enough to cut through. However because he was wrong about the thickness he killed his power too soon as a result he didn't cut through the second level as much as he went crashing through it head first... Hard.
He landed on his back somehow, his helmet cracked into. "Oh G-d... Oh G-d. I'm okay... I'm okay." He slowly and painfully got to his feet throwing his now useless helmet on the ground. "that'll do pig, that'll do." He said with a labored breath. He started checking himself for any injuries. He let slip a shout of excitement when he found out he was okay. He drew and loaded his handgun, readying for whoever came looking for him. He was going to make it easy for them, he started shouting out for Ruby.
"Ruby!" He shouted "Where the Fuck are you... Every time I go looking for that girl I get thrown through something." He muttered to himself. It was then he realized that he was some sort of lab. He relaxed a little when his bearings had completely returned. "Ruby, I'm home! You got some esplaining to do!"
