Twilight was stephanie miserably failing at taking a unique slant to the whole 'burn in sunlight' myth.

You want vampires? Look at the Van Helsing movie.

Okay so yeah just going to throw this out there as what I thought was a standard obvious thing to do doesn't seem to be getting used. When you have multiple characters in an area set up a posting order! Simple shit...that way someone isn't writing a post, posting it, having to change it all the time and then realise it's somewhat a waste of time as they've moved on making what they likely said/thought entirely irrelevant. This is just something you got to do. If you have to wait half a day for the posting cycle to get back round to you well tough shit, deal with it. Better than someone getting lost and being unable to even contribute with their character. Also I haven't read the IC yet, just woke up, just finished reading the OOC...So yeah...basing this on the whole notion that this was never sorted out. Basically do what Shoske, Hebi and Myself are doing. We set up a posting order. Me, Hebi then Shoske. It then obviously loops back around to me and the cycle starts again. Do I have to post slower? sure but I just blame Shoske since...why not? From now on I'm not going to suggest using a posting order. I'm saying use it. Last thing I want is bitching in the OOC at some point cause someone got lost cause Mr Impatient couldn't be asked to wait while they likely had to attend to IRL issues

Also yeah...it's the morning...I'm still tired, I'm a bit pissy. Deal with it.

Edit: Also if shit is going so amazingly convenient for your character and they also suddenly figure out every Zombies Weakness (calling them Zombies for the sake of it) and seemingly don't learn about anything through observation, testing and the alike. I wont hesitate to throw your character to the Zombies. I want people who adapt and survive. Not know it all's. No fun. Also remember when you get into an area you think there would be Weapons, someone from the group PM me or Shoske and we will tell you what you find. I think people forgot that we were doing that...

Wait so we're are allowed to know that they are zombies? I think that'd usually be the last thing to describe them as since people would try to come up with a logical way to explain what they are first before dead-panning them as zombies o.O Since Zombies are known as fictional characters so I think IRL, a person wouldn't jump to that immediately O.o I guess some people would, I'm never sure whether the fictional zombie material will be used inside stories since it's a world where they actually exist therefore I think in that world the fictional stories wouldn't be made since they're not fictional beings in them.

Or perhaps I'm just over thinking xD

Personally I wouldn't think someone would figure out what they are instantly. Putting myself into the situation, I'd be struggling to grasp the reality of it, let alone identify or give a shit about identifying what they are xD

Me thinks its quite subjective because i HONESTLY WOULD jump to the conclusion myself, that its a zombie XD I've had those flippin out moments once or twice. I'm not lying

Eg:late at night when im going home and there's an old lady shambling really slowly towards me, and since its dark and i cant rly see her face i just freak out and run off home XD

@Kurisa That's what I thought like, if you saw some dude drinking sucking blood from people's necks after biting them, you wouldn't think "I saw a movie once with people doing that! They called them vampires! He must be a real life vampire!!" You'd think "What the fuck is wrong with that crazy person. He must be deranged or something" xD

Lol, well I guess so xD I don't blame you for freaking out and stuff lol xD *Also has a fear of zombies* But like I meant for more story purposes, I just personally think it's better if the world we put our characters in didn't have any information about the potential threat, be it fact or fiction, since then the character has to learn and try to survive at the same time f(^_^')

I'm glad you do xD I'm so bad at trying to explain myself sometimes f(^_^') *Nervous laugh* But yeah, so are we going to allow the fictional stories in the RP or have it wiped from the earth so literally no one has seen it before? I honestly think the latter would be best since once you've seen one zombie movie or show, you've basically seen them all since zombies don't vary too much. Also this would mean that the character's who've seen it would know everything about the zombies which defeats the survival element of it f(^_^') Besides, this would give us a chance to make up our own name for them instead of calling them zombies or walkers xD

But maybe it's too late for this if people have already mentioned too much in their posts f(^_^')

P.s. Please pardon my mistakes, I'm on my phone at college xD

In light of the edited section, I'd like add something in my latest IC post.

@Vex and everyone else on the rooftop, take it that Reiko instructed Kuro to keep 1 zomb alive, so that she can assess what exactly they are dealing with. I'll make the changes in a while

See....thats why I mentioned it earlier, I wait until most people have posted before me so im not constantly having to readjust my post or accidentally causing others to have to do the same. I wasn't necessarily thinking of a posting order, but I think people who are posting back to back in quick succession need to slow it down to give others a chance to react to the situation also.

Furthermore, about the whole, knowing they are zombies and calling them zombies thing...I think like Silverlight said, it is somewhat subject, but if you read my post, Ben called one of them a "Growler", well, basically because it growls. I don't think the concept of zombie even came to him or he may not "know" about it, but also...another character(i cant remember) in another post prior, said that the situation was like dawn of the dead. So it just goes to show right there. Two different characters, with two different interpretations about the zombies.

Calling them something isn't necessarily an issue. Refer to them as what you see fit...I just use the general anime term them since Kurisa isn't into Zombie related stuff so it's not what would first come to mind. So calling them whatever isn't an issue

See? So there you go. Certain characters have common knowledge of them based off their behavior akin to zombies in movies or games, but from reading Kurisa's post, it seems as though he doesnt, seeing as he wen't for the heart immediately and not the head like people who know about zombies would naturally go for.

And I think the reason people who have weapons haven't been keeping track of the usages thing and what not is because its an odd concept not typically used in a roleplay, and some may feel it may limit how they wanna expand on their posts. It's different, so it'll definitely take some getting used to. But, my guess, is that it only applies to...environmental objects that have been picked up. I think logically, characters who may have a personal item like Kurogane's bokken, especially depending on the quality of it, probably wouldn't break easily and knowing how rich kurogane is, his is probably VERY high quality.

But then...what about other sturdy environmental objects? Sure...you pick up a wooden chair, u probably only get one usage. But what if someone picks up a metal rod? Its steel metal, so its not like it'd just break after a few uses. Unless u impaled it in the zombies head and left it there, thats my only guess if it "running out" its uses. I don't know...just my thoughts I guess.

Well I purposely didn't want people to figure out hitting a Zombie in the head kills it...takes away a large danger element and IMO ruins the fun that is learning of their weaknesses as opposed to simply knowing. Movies aren't always accurate with Zombies also so one may assume it takes multiple hits to kill a Zombie as opposed to just one swift blow to the head.

As for weapons like that I do want them to break. As I have stated many times, it's the sort of danger element and that you got to use the weapon wisely. If someone had some custom bokken that lasted like 50 posts it's just...uh so boring. I want those weapons to break to force people into situations they really have to think to get out of otherwise everyone stands a chance of surviving. I know full well something like a hammer would take forever to break but I heavily limit it purely for the fact that I want it to break and not last forever...I like dropping people into the shit as well as make them actually think to get out of it.

After all I do intend for people to die...if I feel something is bordering bull then I will likely call em dead. Know it all's have no place in my Roleplay and nor do Rambo's who can one man army everything and be so amazing at everything...those will be the ones to die first. I choose to focus purely on High School students for a reason...that they are not amazing at everything and in fact are likely useless at a lot more things than they are good at meaning they have to really adapt to the situation...and besides I also like to cause drama...so if one person is drastically shining in terms of being the smart, strong amazing leader of the group who has his shit together...well...they can go join the deceased pile ^.^ then people get the sense of "Oh fuck what do we do now!?" And that...is what I want from this roleplay

I see what your saying...but...if I may...I don't think it should be forced. Every character's different you know? You have a very small number of characters who can physically handle themselves right now cause these characters had training to do so(Referring to Ben's boxing and Kurogane's martial arts). I mean...just because someone is smart and has amazing leadership and has their mind together doesn't mean they should join the deceased pile! ROFL!! thats a bit harsh. Not everyone reacts the same way and...I don't think you should expect them too. In situations, u have people who are just natural born leaders. Its in their nature. U can't expect EVERYONE to be cowering whimpering useless fodder(like paneru lol) just cause they are highschooler. Being a highschooler doesn't define them or at least it shouldn't. But...honestly, I don't think you should worry too much about it, cause the only person who REALLY seems to have his shit together is Kurogane(but warranted since his background and fighting training, and Ben(his boxing) somewhat, though I think Ben is just going off adrenaline right now since he's that type of guy and I think he may have figured out to go for the head at some point off-screen after a few close calls. I think the majority of the cast is right where you want them though, scared, uncertain, and vulnerable. You have a few fighters and a few thinkers, and everyone else is just freaking the fuck out. Anyways, thats all. Just thought I'd give my opinion on the matter. ^_^ Have to go to work now. Look forward to seeing some good story development when I get back. :)

@Merman

I'm not saying they will straight up join the deceased pile just because they show to be doing these things. It's just they best know it makes them a target as they are clearly a strong character and if I feel their death would drastically change how people think and throw things into chaos I will make that happen...it's not like we never said we wouldn't do that xD We did say if we felt it helped the story and kept things interesting then people would die.

I'm well aware that people react differently to the situation, that's something I like...That's why I said In my opinion knowing a Zombies weaknesses ruins the fun...but that's my opinion xD Doesn't mean I will kill someone's character off because they aren't doing things they way I'd like and are doing things in a way I wouldn't do them when that's what I'm looking for as I get something interesting to read and follow while I also do my own thing xD I don't expect them to cower and wimper either xD Some people will take on the Leader role but that role will come with it's downsides.

Basically in short what I am saying is if someone continually proves to be a strong character that essentially keeps the group out of danger or has a large tie to someone in the group (so many things factor in here) that I may decide that their death would be interesting as I would like to see how the rest of the group react and adapt to loosing one of the stronger members of their group or even the leader...hell just cause you aren't a fighter and do most the thinking doesn't mean you aren't able to be killed off xD

I'm not worrying *waves hand* I am merely saying keep this stuff in mind...since you know...just as that stuff applies the opposite does to...as in those who are doing nothing, letting others fight for them and trying to avoid being everything I listed will be just as at risk x3 Keeps you all on edge...makes you think twice. I do agree we have a good balance...just remember I wasn't calling anyone out, just putting that out there to keep in mind...Shoske and Myself are very evil when it comes to these things...we like messing shit up xD

Well the likeliness of every character getting a chance to shine and show that despite being a high schooler, they can survive isn't likely to happen when you have too many people who are just great alround. Like for example, a character who's great at everything enters the school, leads everyone and stays alive no matter what happens. If everyone else just follows this person and believes they can do anything so they don't have to worry, all of them become just basic sheep while the leader is the Shepard. That doesn't seem interesting storywise since individuals wouldn't be able to show off their talents or add to helping everyone escape since they wouldn't need to. Students are less likely to be amazing at everything because if that's so then what's the point in them being a student in the first place? At least this way where everyone has at least ONE bad area (which should be highlighted in the Skills section of the CS) then it shows that there is no one perfect leader, everyone has to pitch in if they want to survive o3o

If you've seen any Zombie show/game/movie, the characters have areas they excel in and others that they don't, but that all a part of the story, it adds to the horror atmosphere. Why would people be afraid of zombies if the characters they've seen all easily overcome them? xD Like in the Walking Dead game, that right there is such a good game with great characters. None of them are perfect, nobodys perfect in general. This adds sweetness to every success, finding food and stuff, things that we take advantage of, become such a big achievement. However no one would feel that way if they were just following a perfect leader who is able to do everything o3o
