Park looked down at Misaka when she wrapped her arms around his neck. Slowly he wrapped his arms around her and smiled, "Don't worry about it... Abigail kind of deserved it."

He looked down at her as he stepped away and nodded his head toward the bus, "Come on," He climbed onto the bus and walked to his seat. For the first time in a long time, he placed his bag between his legs. He patted the spot next to him for Misaka to sit then looked out the window, "I'll talk to my eomma... My mom about you coming over... Does tomorrow sound good?"

Abigail and Elle walked onto the bus and Elle took their usual seat as Abigail walked to the back and moved to kneel on the semi empty seat in front of Park and Misaka. She looked at the boy that was sitting there for a moment before she looked at Park and spoke in Korean, "Don't tell mom... She'd kill me... Please."

"[i]At this point... I think you deserve to be killed. You're an immigrant, why are you mocking immigrants?" Park said, almost sounding a little sad despite still being rather angry with her.

"Because... It's what everyone else was doing and... I want to be cool, not getting mocked like her."

"It's cruel, Abigail... They are mocking people like mom... They are mocking US. I think you need to take a step back and realize that," Park said quietly before Abigail brushed him off and walked back to Elle and joined the blonde for the ride home. Park looked at Misaka and sighed, "Joesonghabnida," A small smile broke on his lips, "It means sorry."

Misaka nodded "Sounds raik a puran" She smiled happily at the thought of meeting his mother. She was just like her. Almost alien like. Not good with the language, the strange western customs. Some of the customs baffled her. They didn't slurp their food, you werent supposed to pick the plate up and shovel food in, you had to tip waiters... and people used cellphones on the train and buses! These things are just so strange to her.

She watched as Abigail came over and started talking to her brother in Korean. She listened intently as they spoke to each other in their native tongue. She found it strange to hear people talking in other languages. It always baffled her how there is so many different languages on this planet. She drifted off into her head for a moment contemplating life and how the language evolved. She did that some times, you know? Spaced out.

As Park started talking to her she jumped a little as she was still in her own little world. She smiled as he apologised in his own words. "It is okay" She said smiling happily at him.

The bus left the school shortly after and started to make its way through the stops. The two of them didn't talk much. Park wasn't very good at talking on the bus and the few times they had talked he had a topic to talk about. Abigail being a bitch, immigrating, drama, math, Ryan, Abigail... Now not so much. But sitting in the silence wasn't that bad either. In fact, Park enjoyed it when he could sit in complete silence with someone and it not be awkward.

When their bus came to their stop, Park pointed, "We should go," He smiled and stood gathering his things before getting off the bus. Pulling his backpack on he scratched the back of his head, "Do you... Want me to walk you home or something? Make sure you don't get picked on... or something?"

She enjoyed a quiet ride home. When the bus stopped she grabbed her backpack and got off the bus with Park. She laughed at him as he sounded awkward asking if she wanted him to walk her home. She shook her head and gave him a hug. "I wiru be fine. I don riv far from here" she said reassuringly. She went on her tippy toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek before turning around and almost skipping her way home. She was rather happy about how the day ended.

She had been through many emotions in just a few short hours. By the time she got home she was very tired even though it was a short walk, it was like she just came over all lethargic. "Tadaimaaa!" She yelled through the house hold as she took her shoes off at the door and put her slippers on. she left her bag at the door with her shoes.

As she walked down the hallway she was greeted by her grandmother nearly rugby tackling her to the floor.

"Okaeriiii!" Kaede yelled happily as she squeezed her granddaughter tightly. She had worried about her all day. She was very over protective of Misaka since her parents had died.

"Ojiisan!" Misaka smiled happily as her grandfather smiled at her and patted her on the head.

"How was school?" He asked as he wandered off into the kitchen to check on the dinner.

Misaka smiled as she followed him into the kitchen. "It was okay." She said softly "I made a friend!" She added happily as she put her apron on and helped her grandfather with food preparation.

Park walked home with Abigail, his headphones in, not wanting to listen to her. He was still pretty upset with her behaviour today... Even if he didn't like Misaka, he'd have been pissed. He didn't understand how she knew what him and his mom had gone through and yet could mock someone for doing the same. When they got home, he took out his head phone, leaving his shoes at the door, "Eomma?"

Abigail looked at Park, worried, "Park, please don't."

Park looked at his sister as she struggled to take off her shoes and follow him, "Eomeoni will kill me."

Park sighed and looked at his sister, "Fine. I won't tell her... This time. But you better make sure that your friends don't do it again."

"Park?" Park's mom stepped out of the kitchen and looked at her, "What is it?"

The boy smiled at his mom, not making eye contact something he had learnt at a very young age and had been struggling between when to look at people and when not to for years. This was due to being taught as a baby not to make eye contact for it was not polite to only be told that it was not polite not to make eye contact when he went to school. Ultimately, the shift in cultures was strange, "Was just wanting to know if you wanted any help with dinner."

As she helped her grandfather with the dinner her grandmother set the table. They served the food to the table and they all sat and had dinner. Misaka found it wonderful to eat without having people stare at her. Each took turns in telling each other about how their day had been and what they had done.

Once dinner was over she ushered her grandparents into the living room and insisted on cleaning up. They laughed and obeyed. Misaka got to cleaning up the table and washed the pots before heading to the bathroom to have her evening bathe. She loved these moments. She got to reflect on the day and plan ahead for tomorrow.

She had a shower then got in the bath to relax. She laid with her eyes shut almost falling to sleep.

After her relaxing bath she got out and dried off. PJs on. Kissed her grandparents good night and made her way off to her bed. She basically fell into her bed. "Ahhhh.... Beddo" She murmured softly to herself as she drifted off. Her lids fell heavy. That was it. She was gone.

Park helped his mom with dinner, avoiding any conversation about how Abigail had acted at school today. As he was cutting some vegetables he looked over his shoulder at her, "Eomma, I was wondering... I met a girl today and she just immigrated here. I told her that she could talk to you... cause you know what it is like..."

"Oh?" Park's mother said before she stopped what she was doing and looked at him, "Where is she from?"

Park cleared his throat, "Japan..."

Park's mother started to shake her head.... The Japanese weren't exactly Korea's favourite people after a rather... violent history between the two. He sighed, "Please, Mom. She needs someone to talk to..."

Park's mom looked at him before nodding and turning back to their food. Little more talking was done and soon it was time for bed. Park slipped on one of his headphones and curled up in bed. He found that he slept best with music and soon he was fast asleep.

Loud ringing. Groaning. Misaka sat up as she hit the alarm and stretched. Time to get up and have another day at school. She wasnt looking forward to school but she was looking forward to seeing her new friend once again. Park.

Today was a dress day she thought as she looked through her closet. She picked out a cute summer dress. It had a black lace detail bust with a black bow with a pinky red skirt to it. She accompanied it with black thigh high socks, knee high boots and a pink bow hair band. She put a little eye liner on and made her way out of her room. She got some toast and gave her grandparents a kiss on the cheek before leaving for the school bus.

She made her way out, taking a nice steady walk to the bus stop. She got a few stares from some people passing her by. It never bothered her. She had just finished her toast as she made it to the bus stop. She was a little early. She just took a seat and waited, Park wasnt there just yet.

Park walked with Abigail to the bus stop and felt himself jittering a little. He was nervous about Misaka coming over. He wanted him mom to like her but he worried that she wouldn't because of where Misaka came from. As he walked he started to think of all the different things that he had to teach Misaka during the day to avoid any mistakes that night which might make his mother decide she didn't like her.

When he reached the bus stop he smiled at her, "Hey," He said quietly, coming to a stop beside her, "I talked to my mom... She's okay with you coming over today if you want," He scratched the back of his neck, "I also brought a pretty big lunch... If you uh.... Want to eat it with me... I can kind of teach you... Korean etiquette.... So you don't feel uncomfortable... If you want...."

Misaka smiled as she saw Park making his way over with his younger sister. She grinned happily at his awkward invite to join him for lunch and lessons. Standing and giving him a hug she nodded. "I would rike dat." She smiled. "Is Korean ...er.... food eating much differen to Japanese?" She asked, blushing slightly. She forgot how to pronounce the word etiquette... even though Park had only just said it moments ago. It was a hard word for her to stumble over anyway so not saying it was probably for the best. She looked over at Parks sister Abigail and smiled sweetly to her. She hadnt really ever spoken to her before but noticed her staring at her so Misaka thought best to smile.

Park put his hands in his pockets, trying to think about different etiquette between Japan and Korea. Of course, he had never actually been to Japan but there were some stark differences that he knew about, "We eat rice with a spoon instead of chopsticks and we never pick up our bowls... Before we eat, we have to wait for my dad to pick up his spoon... Then we kind of all eat in time with each other..." He scratched the back of his neck, "There's a lot... and Eomma... will forgive you and I'll be there to help but... I think it might be best that you know what you are getting into."

He laughed a little awkwardly before he returned his hand to his pocket and their bus rolled up. He nodded his head toward it, "Come on..."

Misaka raised her eyebrows slightly. This was going to be interesting to try and remember. It sounded like they did things a lot stricter in Korea... And this was just eating! She had no idea of other things they may or may not do. She bit her bottom lip nervously.

As the bus came and Park nodded toward it she smiled slightly and linked his arm as they boarded the bus. They made their way to Parks usual seat. Misaka looked at Park. He seemed. Weird today. Had she done something wrong?

"Parku...hab I done somefingu wrong?" She asked nervously.

Park looked at Misaka and smiled slightly as she wrapped her arm around his. When she asked if she had done something wrong, he shook his head, "No... it's just... I want tonight to go well, for you to feel comfortable and all that," he sighed, "Eomma... doesn't really like the Japanese but don't worry, I talked to her about it and.... well, I just want to make sure she won't have anything to complain about...." he made a bit of a face, feeling like he was stressing Misaka out, "My dad will love you though."

He took his hands out of his pockets and placed them on his legs, "He'll also keep Eomma in line," he laughed a little, "She'll love to talk about coming here with you though."

Misakas eyebrow raised slightly at the 'doesn't like Japanese people' comment. "Weru... Hopefury, your Eomma understands I haven done her personal wrong. I understand our history bu... I reari wan your muder to raik me." She said looking a little upset. She couldnt change the history between their countries, but she could give a good impression to make her like her at least...hopefully. She smiled at Park. She knew today was going to be trying. She was still learning American customs, now she had to learn Korean ones in just a few hours. Her mind was screaming now.
