Alright, here's my CS. I might change a few things later because I tend to find things I want to add, but I won't change anything major. I'm aware that it's a little bare-bones but I don't have much to tell.
(Without earrings and nowhere near as serious)
Name: Taro Kagetora
Age: 16
Occupation: Grocery store employee
Gift: None
School: St. Sebastian’s knight academy
Personality: Taro is pretty care free, and is pretty whimsical. He tries to lighten the tension a lot, even if it doesn’t need lightening, and likes to tease people who are too serious. He’s a pretty charismatic guy, very bright, and tends to make friends quickly. He’s smarter than he looks, however, and doesn’t overstep the boundaries. He respects his friends and is fairly loyal to them. He’s mischievous, but lazy and he likes fooling around. He smiles a lot and finds quite a few things amusing. That said, he's fairly stubborn if it comes to something he's decided on.
Biography: Taro was fairly normal, but he got pegged as a troublemaker a lot as a kid because he… Well, he made trouble. As a result, he has a lot of experience in climbing, running hiding and deception. That said, his parents are normal, his older sister is normal and his cat is pretty normal too. So Taro's kind of the odd one of the bunch, but also pretty normal. One day, he found that he liked archery. It felt pretty nice and it seemed to be almost natural to him. He ended up trying to be a speed shooter, and he succeeded to some degree. But he took it a bit further and tried running while shooting, which was quite different. He got the hang of the basics eventually. He doesn't really know why he tried it, but it's fun as hell, so he doesn't regret it. He lived his day to day life in relative peace, until he realised that he didn’t know what to do in life. He decided to become a knight so that he would have a relatively stable job for the rest of his life, and is now really good at archery.
All righty! Here's my character sheet to be submitted for review. I decided to try and make a mage, without being a regular old spellcaster.
Let me know if there's anything that needs revising! ^^
"The headphones? They're for really loud bangs."
NAME: Erika Walker AGE: 15 OCCUPATION: She works various chores around her school. Assisting various teachers with whatever they need. In exchange, she is provided a stipend from the school.
APPEARANCE: Gold eyes and blonde hair, her strange eye color is due to her high magical ability. She keeps her hair tied back into a really long ponytail. She normally uses a red bow to keep her hair up, but due to a certain teacher it was deemed "too bright", and "distracting". So she uses a plain black one during school business. She actually very much likes having long hair, but she has to keep it up so it doesn't get in the way while she's working. If she's out with friends she tends to wear it down.
She sports a thin and somewhat small frame, standing at 5' 3". As far as clothing and fashion go, she likes wearing shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, and basically anything that's not a skirt or dress. As a result, she procured herself several sets of the male Al-Revis uniform and modified them to suit her tastes. (And promptly got scolded for it.)
GIFT: While technically she could be a wizard due to her high magically ability. The thought of pouring over books and scrolls of arcane lore bored her to no end. So, she picked a somewhat more exciting type of magic, Alchemy. Rather than cast magic like a spellcaster, the alchemist captures her own magic potential within liquids and extracts she creates, infusing chemicals with virulent power to grant her impressive skill with poisons, explosives, and all manner of magic through extracts.
SPELLS: Alchemists are not only masters of creating mundane alchemical substances, but also of fashioning magical potion-like extracts in which they can store spell effects. In effect, an alchemist prepares her spells by mixing ingredients into a number of extracts, and then “casts” her spells by drinking, throwing, or otherwise using the extract. When an alchemist creates an extract, she infuses the concoction with a tiny fraction of her own magical power. This enables the creation of powerful effects, but also binds the effects to the creator. If an extract leaves the possession of the original creator for too long a time, it becomes inert and loses it's power. Though, there is a method to prevent this effect, however Erika is simply unaware of it.
Erika herself keeps her list of Alchemic formulas in a leather bound notebook she makes sure to have with her at all times. The notes inside contain the formulas she has learned. Although the notes are written so chaotically, and using her own shorthand code that makes it almost undecipherable to anyone else.
BIG BANG: A self titled formula Erika developed on her own. True to it's title, it causes a large explosion upon usage. It is a simplistic mixture of the most volatile materials she could obtain. While very potent, she uses her own magical power to maintain an impressive level of stability. Through measuring the usage of various ingredients, she can control the blast size with a shaky amount of accuracy.
CURATIVE SALVE: Just as the name implies, an extract that when applied causes cuts, burns, bruises, and other injuries to heal quickly. It is a beginner level extract, it is not powerful enough to heal any serious damage, such as broken or fractured bones. Erika (much to her boredom) obtained this Formula in a Beginner's Alchemy Class, that she was forced to attend before she could be accepted.
STICKY BOMB: Another self devised formula of hers. Currently her proudest achievement, it is a very complex mixture. Upon the container shattering, it releases a purple cloud of gas. The thick cloud lingers for a moment, blinding any caught in it. It then begins to transform into a thin green sludge that falls on, and sticks to any caught in it's radius. Severely hampering mobility.
AMPLIFYING TONIC: Another extract she was taught by the school's Beginner's Alchemy Class. A simple set of ingredients with a clear function. When consumed it heightens the user's senses. And allows them to perform physical and acrobatic feats above their normal capacity. Said to be essential for any Alchemist weaving through a battle. Whether they be treating wounds, or raining explosives.
SCHOOL: Al-Revis, School of Alchemy
PERSONALITY: When you ask just about anyone what Erika is like. You'll usually get the same answer, insane. While this is somewhat true, most people say it as a bit of an exaggeration. It is true that she is very reckless, and in most situations comes up with a very psychotic solution. She's also an incredibly bad judge of personal boundaries, and is stubborn as an ox. As such she will usually speak her mind, and when she makes up her mind. It's made up, and there's no changing it.
While those cover some of Erika's more controversial traits (You know, the ones that get her in trouble). She's always very enthusiastic and hardworking, If only a little bit clumsy. Though she does have the tendency to blow things waaaaaay out of proportion. Often over exaggerating things. Which goes hand-in-hand with her somewhat short fuse. This doesn't mean she's prone to anger or rage, it's just incredibly easy to get her riled up. Leading to the nickname her fellow students (and some teachers) have given her, spitfire.
When Erika is with her friends, she can actually be very sweet and thoughtful. And she's much more prone to actually listening to someone if she likes, and or respects them. Her somewhat wild nature always leads her to being the life of the party in any given group.
BIOGRAPHY: Born in New Jersey to a very mundane couple, Erika was for a time, a very normal child. It wasn't until around age 3 when her eye color suddenly shifted after one of her tantrums. Her parents started to get concerned, and even sent her to the hospital. While the doctor couldn't find anything wrong with her, he concluded that something was definitely not right. After that, due to a series of strange occurrences surrounding her it was soon discovered that she was a very well attuned to magic, and potentially a very powerful mage.
After that Erika's parents eventually relinquished her to the one who had discerned her magically ability. A wizard by the name of Akira Sasaki, a teacher at one of the many schools in Academy City. Sasaki then took her with him, and began to raise her himself. He spent his free time helping her learn to control her abilities, and teaching her the basics of magic. Due to him being natively Japanese, and Erika already starting to learn English. He decided on letting her finish learning English, and then set her to work on Japanese. Due to this she usually uses Japanese honorifics when addressing people, because that's what he insisted on.
Because of the fact that Erika was often left to her own devices, she learned how to entertain herself. She developed a somewhat mischievous personality, even sneaking into Sasaki's study many times. When she finally become old enough to enroll in a magic school, Sasaki sat her down and had a serious talk about what she wanted to do. Erika herself had been investigating the various forms of magic for years. And when he asked, she already had her answer.
Needless to say, Erika felt a bit guilty about not enrolling to the school Sasaki taught at. But he taught the exact kind of magic she couldn't stand. The kind that you wear a big robe and read books all day. She wanted more excitement to it. Though, to she still keeps in touch with him, and he's the first she goes to if she needs some serious advice about something.
Currently Erika is enrolled in Al-Revis School of Alchemy. While she is very gifted in talent, and does not lack for enthusiasm. Her troublesome nature makes it so that the staff have to pay special attention to her, especially when left to her own devices with dangerous ingredients lying around. Her overwhelming curiosity makes her a great Alchemist, and she works very hard at her studies. (Most of the time.)
@Apollosarcher: I don't have a personal preference myself, there is a upside to both in my opinion. Having the school year already started would allow for characters to already know each other while just starting the school year would open up more meetings
I have no preference! But I think that starting with a new year might be a bit simpler. We probably should work out pre-existing friendships and stuff if you guys want to start with everyone already in school. But… since not everyone is in the same grade and some people have been in Academy City for a while already… wouldn't some people know each other regardless?

Well, in that respect, are you fine with my character working in the same grocery store as yours?
True, I'll friendships and things to be worked out between all of you. Not sure when I'll do the first IC post but I can't wait to start this I think this will be a lot of fun.
Then, @Lord Santa, how close do you want Taro and Kanako to be? Like… friends? Or just acquaintances?
Judging from the character sheets that are posted in the character section, it looks like Touji, Kanako and Eri (@Hebigami Shiho's character, my character and @Lowkey123's character) would also probably at least be able to recognise each other, since they all go to the same school. Eri seems to be a little older than Touji and Kanako, so maybe she's in the grade above?
As for everyone else, it doesn't look like they would have had much opportunity to meet. All of the Knights are in separate schools, and apart from Kanako and Taro, I'm not sure if anyone is working in the same place as anyone else...

Welp, that's very true. Given Touji's personality, I'm sure anyone can make fast friends with him, if they are able to look past his *sshole-ish tendencies. I'm sure Kanako could be good friends with him, given that she can look past his insults xD
And I'm guessing Touji would be in at the very least good terms with Eri, with them having a similar power and all, but with a bit more of an upper-under classmen relation.

I think they'd be pretty good friends. Taro's pretty much stuck with a large gathering of meat heads in St Sebastian's, so Kanako's energy would probably do him some good.

Kanako's the friendly type, and she has four older brothers, so I actually think she's probably very used to being insulted. In fact, since she'd be completely unfazed by Touji's more *sshole-ish moments, I think they'd probably be quite close. I guess she would therefore know Eri by association? Oh, wait, and she'd probably look up to the both of them because their powers are so much cooler than hers, hahaha.

Sounds great! As for the dynamic between them… since Taro is whimsical and pretty carefree… it would probably be Kanako getting carried away, a lot, and Taro just going along with it because he thinks it's funny or something. Or maybe he just enjoys it.
