If it wouldn't potentially cause a lot of mayhem, I would be cool to use trophies at the end of RPs. Some like, MVP, Most Awesome Moment, Best Character. Things like that. Up to the GM of course.
Or if we had yearly Guild Awards.
Not sure whether giving trophies to GMs to distribute would be a good idea. Too many people with their own personal standards each - such trophies would be arbitrary at best. Besides, RPs themselves shouldn't turn into competitions.
How will the trophy system be integrated when a user has multiple accounts that are connected in the future?

perhaps there should some sort of limits to unlock awards in RPs? RP Post count, Time since RP start, RP finish, etc? The more numerous posts, longer duration etc. an RP has, the more awards a GM "unlocks"?
If its all free from the start, you'll start getting people creating filler RPs simply to get themselves awards.
Parameters should probably vary a bit between free, casual and advanced, but not sure entirely how, or how much.
and to open a dangerous, but somewhat important, can of worms:
Whats to stop GMs from things like "n+ trophies required to join"?

Nothing, really. But that's not stopping people from doing that now. Requiring X number of RPs participated in before joining. albeit I have seen anyone doing that so I'm assuming its safe. GMs would harm themselves more doing that anyway.
ruby. scratch what I said. hahaha.
Mahz they are, but these could help them survive, or even be given out at a death.
Is there / is there going to be some sort of limiting factor on statuses? Like you can only post one every five minutes or something? Because otherwise people may try to turn the status box into a chat pod or something. That was my first thought when I saw it, that it was a chatpod. (I know we have the IRC, but that's just what irrationally came to my mind.)
Anyway, don't let my question interrupt your discussion.
