Megumi slowly sat up, her hair messy and her eyes sullen. "Fuck... I fell asleep..." The young girl hissed through her clenched teeth. She ripped the blankets off of herself and run her fingers through her hair, detangling the ends and smoothening it out so that it laid flat once more. Ever so slowly, she made her way out of the room to inspect those who were currently in the house; Noa and the dog. Where was the mother and the other two siblings?

"Mnn..." Megumi shook her head and began wandering throughout the house, her eyes finally catching glance of the two outside shoveling up dirt to make a grave... But for whom? She went outside, her body standing in the doorway as she continued to watch them. The corpse that rested was none other than the women she met just a few hours ago, which goes to show how cruel the world truly was at the moment. She didn't say a word, she didn't want to, since whatever she could say would ruin their moment of silence to those who have fallen. Megumi leaned against the frame of the door with her arms crossed as she simply inhaled deeply and sighed. If they had all did something different, maybe this scenario wouldn't have happened? Maybe those three wouldn't be motherless now. Maybe she shouldn't have slept.

After they finished digging the hole and burying the mother, they stood there in silence for a few minutes. Daisuke then pat his brother on the head, as he gave Megumi a smile as he walked past her back in the house to comfort Noa. While the puppy would wobble outside and sit besides Aki who picked her up looking down at the grave sullen. "He said it wasn't my fault, but no matter how you look at it, it all points to my fuck up. I should have gone back in the house, yet for some reason I stayed outside. Which got me attacked with me dropping the pocket knife.... My mom then saved me only to get killed. And he tells me its not my fault." Aki said knowing Megumi was there, but didn't care at this point. "My last fucking words my mom heard come from my mouth was, I'm going to my room. While her last ones were get off my son."

The dog ruffed at him and did a little headbutt which made Aki look at her. "Even you are saying it huh? Sheesh I even get told I'm wrong by an animal." Aki said, as he looked over at Megumi. "Hey, where do you even plan to go tomorrow? Since you are high class, it'd make more sense for your family to have come looking for you. Are they even in our country anymore?"

Megumi turned her head to the side as he spoke, his words simply making him sigh and shake her head in dismay. "You're being rather hard on yourself... But I won't say too much on that. And on the other subject, I plan on traveling elsewhere I suppose. I don't think my parents have fled the country, I know they have, because why would they stick around to save their offspring when they can leave now and make more whenever the feel." She shrugged her shoulders in reply and took a step back inside to re-enter the household. "I don't want to burden your family any longer, especially since a loved one has recently passed. If you want, I can leave earlier than usual to get out of your hair. It hasn't even been two hours and someone has already died, which is probably an omen to kick out the strangers and look after your own kin... Don't you think, Aki?"

The young girl gathered up her hair and swept it onto her shoulder. "I'd also like to suggest leaving the city and heading somewhere less populated, like a farm or a town... Maybe even a camp if they started establishing those already?"

"Maybe I am who knows. And why should they stick around? Cause you are their daughter! Thats why they should try and find you! Thats what real parents should do!" With what she said next made him silent before looking back at her. "Not at all, if anything all I have left are my siblings. You are more than welcome to stay. I don't think its a bad omen, you did nothing to cause this. I blame myself for it. Besides you aren't a burden at all, its actually somewhat pleasant. Also its going to be dark soon, too dangerous to leave." Aki said as he walked back in the house after placing the dog in Megumi's arms.

"A farm would probably be less populated, towns are sketchy at this point and with the first day i doubt any big camps are up, but never hurts to keep that idea up." Aki said before going silent for a bit. "Before what happened, I saw..... Never mind its not important."

The young girl let out a small grunt as she held the small canine in her arms. She simply stared down, looking at the mass of fat and fur, raising an eyebrow as the animal stared back up at her with dark brown eyes. "Er... Uh..." Megumi didn't know what to do at this points, so she merely set the dog down and poked its rump with the tip of her toe, cringing lightly as she closed the door and shooed it onto the couch.

"Pardon?" She said, "What did you see?" Megumi asked, legitimately curious. If this boy was going to hide something from her so early on... Well, her trust is going to waver slightly. "Tell me, was it something important? Dangerous maybe?" She placed her hands on her hips.

The day hadn't been over yet, in fact it was still rather bright out, which also meant that people-students alike- were still trying to make it out alive and attempt to survive the first night cycle.

The hallway, littered with dead bodies and blood everywhere leaving a rotten stench in the air that was only gonna get worse as time pass. Kenny sped down the hallway, trying to think of where Reiko had gone and thought the roof was a likely candidate since it was where plenty of skippers went to hang out. His thoughts were cut short as two of those undead came into view, their gurgling groans too loud to not miss as he pulled out his hammer.

Instead of stopping, he kept charging towards the two who started reaching out for him; eager to sink their blood soaked teeth into his flesh. The moment he reached the foremost one, jumped up at it and used the built up momentum to slam the hammer with great force into the side of its head. A spine tingling crunch of bone cracking as the zombie was knocked to the side, its brain destroyed, though Kenny didn't stop there. The moment he landed, spun on the foot, turning the hammer around and with the last bit of momentum, speared the claw part of the hammer right into its forehead.

Coagulated blood spilled from the wound and down its lifeless eyes and its body went limp, lifeless once more and only held up by the hammer embed on the forehead. Lifting up his foot to kick the zombie in the stomach to free his hammer that was soaked in reeking blood and bits of brain on the very tip. He gave the hammer a good shake then looked ahead to see the stairs that headed to the next floor and previous floor next to it.

Just as he reached them, a body stumbled down the steps besides him and it was obvious by the way it growled and moved even with broken limbs that it was another of those things. Paying it little mind, he started towards the stairs, but stopped as he caught the hair from the corner of his eye and turned back to it. What he saw made his eyes go wide. With the zombie lifting his head, saw it was Reiko..no this...thing was no longer Reiko.

Nearly dropping the hammer gripped in his right hand as he watched the thing before him struggle to get up. Unable to speak as there was a lump in his throat and could only take a tentative step back from it as the only person who had treated him like a person was before him...dead. He wanted to try and save the one person that was nice to him and actually wanted to talk to him, but the growling Reiko before him a clear sign he was too late. Gritting his teeth as he tighten his grip on the hammer, wanting to shout at her for not being able to survive till he got to her or for going off on his own. There was no point in doing so and really; more that he was angry at himself as he stepped back to avoid the arms that tried to grab at him. He simply kept stepping back each time she had reached for him with only the hunger of flesh her desire now. There was nothing else he could do but kill the thing before him and in doing so, would be alone. Still struggling on what to do when his back hit a wall and moved up his left arm against the ex-Reiko's throat to hold her back, its teeth snapping at his face only to thump against his mask, its arms straining to grab at him, but held back by the arm. Gulping down the multiple emotions he was going through and held up the hammer, having no other choice, that and it would be cruel to just leave her like this. He couldn't, not to the one person who tried to be a friend to him, even though he didn't really treat her like one himself, but this time he would be one to her.

His body didn't want to listen with his right hand shaking, but the left arm holding her back was growing tired. Taking a deep breath to calm himself then peered at Reiko, seeing her for who she had been. Seeing that face with color still and a warm smile, making sure to remember this image of her. Kenny steeled himself then and muttered a muffled sorry before ramming the clawed part of the hammer hard onto the side of her head. Within seconds the body went limp, but Kenny had moved forward to catch hold to keep the lifeless body from dropping to the floor. For a moment he just stood there holding her as he stared ahead; feeling the coldness of her body even through his coat. Or maybe that was his own body going cold as he simply felt empty once more now that he was alone again, like always.

Lowering her body gently to the floor then pulled the hammer from the head with a sickening squelch and gazed down at her. Deciding to look at her as if she was simply sleeping and had some little solace that she didn't have to live on this kind of world. Let her sleep in peace then; he would thrive to sruvive for both himself and Reiko and though he wished he could bury her. The situation did not allow him that comfort and had to leave her here. Standing up with one last look at her and turned, heading towards the stairs to the previous floor, knowing he had no time to grieve or cry about it.

It was simply best to just to move on.

Everyone was leaving. If Yukito wanted to survive, he'd have to follow someone. There were three groups; he had to pick the best out of all of them. Of course, there was one group that seemed to be the most powerful, and the other probably more resourceful and smart. If that was their case, they didn't need him. He needed someone that could protect him, even though he could fight himself as well. There was also that other, masked guy who, in Yukito's opinion, really creepy. (The point that it's a gas mask is a red flag.) "W-Wait! I'm coming with you!!" Quickly, he shot a sad look at Shoske. "S-Sorry, dude! We'll try to find you!" There wasn't much he could do about it. He knew the people in this group a little more, and they were pretty strong. But inside, he felt kinda bad that he left the other guy who took the punch for him. "You gotta do what you gotta do..." he thought to himself, before running in pursuit of the others. He stayed behind Akane, just tagging along.

To sum it up- this had been the absolute worst day of Yukito's life, millions times worse than any nightmare he's ever had. Why? It's because it was real. He tried to shake himself out of it, but that didn't work. As he was passing the hall lengths, he saw a few zombies approaching the group around the corner. "W-watch out! Th-there are zombies up ahead, around the corner!" He yelled to the front, Utaho and Kurisa. He was at the back, maybe about a foot away from Akane's back. He tried his best not to trip over any dead bodies or stuff, especially since there were some occasional mangled, mutilated bodies in certain places. "I wonder if Shingen ended up like this... I don't want to have to 'kill' him... As he tried his best to keep up, a tiny tear rolled down his cheek and quickly fell away. When would all of this just end...?

When she persisted on knowing what he saw, he looked at the ground before gazing at her. "Its not dangerous. I just saw... I saw a dead version of.... your brother. He wasn't there, but for some reason my mind conjured him up and he stared at me like he was judging me." Aki said looking at the ground slightly. "Like I said it was nothing, I'm just feeling guilty I suppose." Aki picked up the puppy and pet her. "Not good with animals huh? You just have to pet them and hug them you know." Aki said kissing the puppy on the forehead who yawned, as Aki passed her to Noa who was playing dolls again. "Again, it was nothing just guilt. But just a theory. What would you do, if I went back to the school to check something and asked you to watch my sister?"

Megumi rubbed her arm awkwardly and simply stated at Aki. "Look, I hate to be concerned and all, but you dont have to be guilty... Whatever..." She sighed and shook her head. "Why would you even go back to the school anyways? We're already safe... Only an idiot would head back into the danger zone." The young girl mumbled, her hand trailing up to her head so she could rub her neck. "Mm... I mean I could watch over her, if you were to ever actually go that is."

She glanced down at the dog and huffed before wandering over to the couch and slumping down on it. "I don't hug and do all of that stuff, I'm a bitch after all. A rich one at that." The red-head crossed her legs and leaned on the arm of the couch, her gaze resting on Noa and her interactions with the toys. It made her jealous with how she spent her youth, yet also pitied how it may soon end. Noa seemed to be oblivious in a way, her young ignorance feigning the imminent destruction of the world. "I'm going soft..." She hissed.

"You are right, I don't have to be guilty. I could go about my business and blame him for it. Yet it's because I have a soul that I do feel guilty. The way I see it, is I could have saved them and I failed. You can say I'm not at fault all you want, but I will always feel I am." Aki replied with while he listened to her response to his question. "Thats why it's a theory. I know it's stupid maybe another day when the school is less polluted by those monsters. Besides why would I ever leave my sister alone with you. She will learn so many vulgar words, that she will lose all that sweetness. I'll be in my room, feel free to pester if you want." Aki said quoting the pester part as he walked to his room closing the door behind him.

Noa held the dog and looked up at Megumi and puffed out her cheeks while the dog ruffed at Megumi. "Not uh fibber. You are a nice lady. If you were a mean lady you wouldn't be so nice to Ki-ki!" Moa said with her nickname for Aki apparently being Ki-ki. So when Megumi stated herself being soft, Noa tilted her head and poked her. "Isn't it normal to be soft? It'd be weird to be hard, almost like you were made of stone. Besides she likes you." Noa said pointing at the puppy laying against Megumi. "And I like you too. And I'm sure despite how he acts, Ki-ki likes you too." Noa then flashed her a big grin while the puppy would then fart. "Ewwww, stinky puppy! Bad!"

"You can't be sweet forever in a ruined world, can you...?" Megumi shrugged her shoulders and glanced at Noa whom held the little hound in her arms. The young pre-teen went on and on about how the redhead wasn't mean and how they all liked her, which only made the girl chuckle and shake her head. "Do you really think so? I'm not normally a likeable person, little one. I'm supposed to be a stern character, one that doesn't forgive nor apologize for my actions... And now I'm like a mother deer. Frail yet attempting to be protective over her young." She leaned back on the couch, the leather upholstery letting out a long sigh as her position adjusted.

The little canine released its gas into the air, making both girls grow disgusted. Megumi waved her hand in front of her face and immediately moved from the couch to leave the scene that happened in the living room. "Would it be wise, to pester your elder brother? I have nothing to pester him with anyways, other then telling him the dog probably crapped itself." She leaned against the wall and placed her sleeve over her nose to vent out all of the stench until it actually went away. "What does the dog have to say about that?"

The dog ruffed at her and shimmeyed off the couch as it did a jog, for a puppy anyway at Megumi. Looking up at her with its tongue outside its mouth. "I'm not sure, maybe its her way of saying, I like messing with you girls?" Noa would then stand up and knocked on Aki's desk. "Ki-ki, Megumi wanted to pester you about the dog crapping itself." Noa said through the door while inside the room you could hear Aki say. "Its how she says she loves you. Megumi its normal, you do it I do it. Those zombies probably do it." He didn't leave his room to answer but he did answer. Which made Noa shrug her shoulders.

"Oh she also said she was like a mother deer." Noa said with bright eyes, this made Aki come out of his room laughing quite hysterically as he looked at Megumi. "You a mother deer? Oh that's a good one. Thats like me being a pro boxer." Aki said his laughter dying down while the puppy would then sneeze and look at the three before sitting back on the couch. "Well I would say lets tell stories about what we did before the whole crap happened, but I feel like I know what Megumi did, and Noa you are not old enough to hear that conversation." Aki said about to head to his room when Noa kicked him. "I'm old enough I'm thirteen years old. I'm a big girl!" Noa said puffing her cheeks out as she stomped off to her room. "And now I'm on a little girls frowny list. Oh well." Aki said going back into his room as he laid down on his bed opening up his manga again.

Megumi rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, letting out a small grunt of annoyance as he laughed. "Whatever. But my story isn't bad at all actually, Noa might be interested. But whatever floats your boat, weaboo." She sauntered back over to the couch and laid down on it, her face making contact with the back of the dog, using the little canine as a live pillow, which made Megumi relax considerably. "There's no bukkake or anything obscene involved, I promise. In actuality, it's rather boring and most of it is filled with training."

She got off of the dog and stretched. "It's pretty calm here... I wonder how long it will last until something bad happens?" The young girl crossed her legs and rubbed her chin. It had actually been quite awhile since something dangerous happened, and it felt rather odd in a way, to be out of danger for more than a few moments. Peace and quiet already grew into a foreign feeling to her, and Megumi was simply sitting and waiting for the moment it would go to shit. "Maybe tomorrow morning... Maybe..." Megumi felt a little paranoid, but shook her thoughts off so she could slip into a more lax mood.

"What time is it?"

She was, of course, talking to herself.

Poking his head outside his room he sighed. "You see, she doesn't need to know what bukkake means, and...." Aki walked outside his room and looked around the living room and saw no one but the puppy who was squirming after being used as a pillow. "And I think the time is we are both going crazy, cause you are talking to no one." Aki said chuckling as he sat down on the couch with his Manga open. "Or did you talk to the little flubber ball here?" Aki said as he flipped through the pages. "So what was your past like, the whole training thing? You can probably guess mine."

Aki would look up at her while puppy would start chasing her tail on the couch before rolling on her back while huffing and puffing. She would then sit up wagging her tail as she stared at Megumi too. "You got her attention too, and its hard to keep it so you best talk while you can."

Kurisa continued to fight some of them off when he heard Utaho shout, this cause him to look down the hall at all of them now approaching "Shit! they are attracted to sound...that little fucker was actually right" Kurisa slammed his right foot into one of their chests causing it to fall back into others like it. So they react to sound? That means despite seeing us they couldn't? Fucks sake...Well maybe we can use this to save our asses.... Kurisa continued to run onwards as he then smashed the Wrench in his right hand into the side of another one of their heads.

As they were about to reach the corner one of the other people following called out about some of them being around the corner. "Got it..." Kurisa reached the corner then stopped as one of them stepped out from around the corner, Kurisa quickly reacted by slamming the hammer in his left hand into it's head. The hammer remained stuck within it's head which was a problem until got an idea that would bide them a little time...even if only a few seconds, it could make the difference between life and death.

Kurisa yanked it (giggity) over towards the other of it's own kind that were approaching down the hall and slammed his right foot into it's chest causing the hammer to rip out of it's head as it fell back into the other of it's kind, this caused them to all fall to the ground which stopped them coming from one way right now...but now to fight their way downstairs to the first floor! They were getting the fuck out of here! Kurisa began to make his way down the stairs, hitting a few of them on the way down...as he got a bit further down the stairs he saw the floor below which seemed emptier than the floor they were just on...clearly them breaking out of that class caused one hell of a noise because it seemed they had all made their way there...it was a good and bad thing...but may just have gave them the break they needed

Kenny ran down the steps to the second floor and stopped for a second to catch his breath as he was panting from all the running he had done. His face sweaty beneath the mask and had to take in big gulps of air to catch his breath while scanning the hallways, lucky none were around at the moment. Just one more floor to go, but considered that since he was alone that he had to be more cautious since he had no one to watch his back. Any mistake or hesitation would likely cost his life and couldn't just go rushing around like he had been doing.

Waiting till his body had calmed down before moving to the next set of stairs to the first floor to see a group of zombies making their way slowly up the steps. Arms reaching forward as they fought to get over each other to get at him, though they were still only halfway up, too thick for him to run through. He looked around, thinking he could try and go to the other pair of steps but felt he had stayed in this school longer than he should of. It was then that an idea came to mind and ran over to a nearby trashcan which was mostly full and dragged it to the stairs before turning it to his side.*You fuckers ready for a strike?*He thought to himself, needing a good laugh before giving the can a push and watched it roll down the steps to smack into the foremost of the monsters and like a domino effect they fell over each other.

Kenny quickly followed after, stopping short of the first of the growling corpses and glanced over the railings to see the lower set of stairs was open besides a single zombie which had fallen behind the others.

Already some of the zombies were getting up, but he wasn't gonna stick around and wait around for them as he gripped the hammer firmly with his right hand. Bending his legs before hopping over the railings and just as the undead lifted his head to look up; met by the hammer smashing into its face and fell onto the steps, cushioning his landing with its body. With a lurch of his arm, pulled the hammer from its forehead and jumped down the last set of stairs with a grunt to see the hallway around him clear at the moment. He scanned the area to spot the cafeteria down the hall and thought taking the side exit would be safer than the main entrance where most of these things would likely be. Hitching up his backpack, started down the hallway, cautious of any stragglers when one suddenly burst out from a nearby bathroom. Nearly on him, about to get at his arm when kenny turned on the spot to slam his foot as hard as he could onto its knee and a faint crack could be heard as the zombie lost its footing and stumbled onto him, causing the two to fall. Kenny moved his arms over his face, claw part of the hammer facing upward shortly before reaching the ground, letting the zombie's face land on the hammer take itself out.

Blood spilled down onto the mask as it reeked, causing him to gag even through the mask. Pushing the corpse off with a grunt then got up, wiping some of the blood from his mask to clear the eyeholes.*Oh yeah, Kenny on a roll.*Doing a quick whoop whoop as he had to admit what he just did was impressive, but that was enough celebrating and spun the hammer in his hand as he ran his way to the cafeteria, thinking that even alone he was faring pretty well.

Mi walked. Unsure where to go. Was anyone she knew still alive. And is so, where would they be. Yukito. Where would he go. Being the nerd her was. Mi thought about it for a moment. And then it came to her. He would probably end up heading towards the tech room. And that would be Mi's new destination.

A pebble sailed through the air like a bullet, nailing against the rotten head of a shambling zombie. As it twitched and groaned, dully turning it's now fluid-leaking skull around, a red and black blur dashed from the shadows underneath a large, precariously hanging AC unit embedded into the wall, a booted foot brutally nailing the zombie right in the face. "Grah!" The walker groaned feebly, blasting back onto the ground, where it skidded a few steps. Before it could shamble up, the same dark brown, hard-soled boot slammed ruthlessly into it's face. Once. Twice. Three times. In only a second, it was a smear of bloody paste on dirty cobblestone, brain matter falling from the boot's grimy surface. The figure straightened, glancing around once with dark eyes. He was a tall man, obviously not from Japanese origins, with short black hair and a long, worn, open black and crimson coat, along with a dirt-stained gray tanktop, torn, ragged jeans, and hard-soled boots. He was currently located in a random dirty alleyway, after climbing down from the roof. Where was he, even? In Tokyo? Was he even still in Japan? A quick glance down at the yakuta-wearing zombie corpse answered his mental questions.

"Gross." He growled underneath his breath, sliding up to the alley's cobblestone wall and slowly slinking towards the alley's exits. A quick glance out showed that the roads were filled with fleeting, shambling undead, and Jason quickly moved his head back into the alleyway, his grimace turning into an outright scowl as he adjusted the black duffelbag on his back. Quickly scrounging through the pockets, the young man smirked victoriously as he withdrew what seemed to be a small, nonlethal stick of firework dynamite, labeled 'Black Cat'. A common thing back in America, but exceedingly rare in Japan, it seemed. Good thing he stole a lot back in Mississippi. Licking his right, calloused thumb, Jason quickly pinched the fuse between his middle-finger in thumb, silently slamming the fuse and digits against the wall against his back. His fingernail scraped along with the trio, and the 'courier' grinned as the fuse promptly lit from the friction.

Sneaking forward, he let loose the Black Cat, watching as it sailed into his destination - a broken car a few dozen feet away. The firework exploded promptly, causing a small trail of smoke to leave the windows of the car with a giant 'bang', while the actual car alarm began blaring out it's annoying ringing. The distraction worked, however. All the zombies within the vicinity began making a clumsy dash for the ringing car, and as a zombie got too close to his spot, Jason moved quickly, slamming his elbow into it's face before swinging around and slamming it face-first into the wall, painting the cobble red and gray. Without pausing, he kept low to the ground, dashing away from the street as if the Devil himself was after him. First thing first...get the Hell out of the city, and get to higher-ground. Maybe find some food. Man, did he want tacos.

"Fucking little house on the prairie."

Jason dutifully climbed the hill, eyes zeroing in on the quaint house up above. His breath came out in short bursts, and his eyes were glaring and focused as he finally broke the distance and leaped up on top of the grassy knoll. Breathing in deeply, he unsheathed his machete and rested it against the shoulder of his coat, walking forward confidently. At this point, he didn't give a shit if he died from some hostile fucker with a shotgun - if he, for some reason, managed to hide from the Japanese Nazis. Knocking quietly on the door - didn't want any zombies, after all, Jason put on his best grin - which came out more as a smirk, honestly.

"Yo...eh, Japanese-san-chan. Starving hermit out here." He didn't know much about honorifics, and he didn't really give a shit. Hopefully they didn't, either.

"Hmf, I guess I was talking to myself." Megumi scooted over to the edge of the couch and shrugged her shoulders. "It was rather vigorous, especially with swordsmanship and dueling one another. I suppose he was preparing us for something, like one day we would actually be on our own..."

A knock came from the front door, grabbing her attention. Megumi approached the door slowly, her hand snatching the knife that sat on her bag in the hallway. The young girl placed her free hand on the doorknob, and within a split second she whipped open the door and pointed the knife at whoever was currently standing at the entrance... Which so happened to be a foreigner.

"Uhhh... What the fuck?" Megumi raised her eyebrow in confusion as she held the knife closer to the stranger's neck. "If you're thinking about getting a meal, it won't happen. I won't hesitate to slit your throat right here... What makes you think we'll feed you?" She hissed. No way in hell she was letting a stranger inside this house, especially since he looked so... Shady.

"Well that explains why you guys had bokkens on you. And he must not be much of a fighter if he ran when things didn't turn out well." Aki said, realizing his rudeness then sighed. "Sorry, shouldn't be talking bad about him. I don't even know him." Aki replied hearing the knock thinking it was a zombie until it spoke to them. "Well, either they don't want to be rude or they are incredibly racist."
