I'm not sure if this has been said but I hate it when everybody follows your expectations for their CS's except for one guy and then when you tell him what's wrong with it, he bitches and leaves

Why is it everyone has to be the fucking hero? I mean like, why is it everyone has to have an 'amazingly unique' back story that makes them heir to something, or fated to do something etc etc. Even in RPs that seem to strive to be realistic it happens again and again and again. RPs are collaborative, that means you shouldn't keep trying to make your character the centre of everything.

The GM needs to get his/her arse in gear, in that case, and stop these critters at the door - or deal with them creatively throughout the RP.

Saying that though, when you say amazingly unique back story, could you pitch us a few examples? Don't go a' namin and a' shamin', just you know, out line an RP where all the characters are the centre of everything. I imagine a cauldron of chaos. You sure it's not just your interpretation of their characters?

Also, I got a bitching comment to make. When you open a packet of something, like sliced ham, and the GOD DAMNED PLASTIC NEVER BLOODY WELL TEARS LIKE IT SHOULD! Instead, the corner rips off, and you have to knife your way into it. What's with that!?

Learning that the hard way. :)

I've had some pent up frustrations for Roleplaying for a while now.

Let me tell you them:

1. I'm annoyed with going onto my sites and finding that 13 year olds are roleplaying fantasies of marrying and having children with their boy bands- and half the time this is on a board where there were THOUSANDS of good roleplays on it. They spread like a plague. I almost dropped 2 sites just because 5 pages on the Human board consisted of nothing but 1D roleplays.

2. People whom say they are 'interested' in a roleplay idea and live either mid-roleplay or leave before it even starts. It sucks when you prefer to only have up to 8 people in your thread and you only get like 3 or 4 on board. If you don't even post to tell me what's going on then I'll either start looking for another person or lock the thread depending on how important your character was to the thread- if you do, then it's fine I will move along but if you get on after a month of no posting and try to become friendly again I won't accept it. If you can't even make a fraction of a second of time to get on and say you're really busy, then you aren't worth being apart of the roleplays. I admit I'm not the best GM or roleplayer, and I have stalled roleplays but I atleast tell them why BEFORE it dies.

3.When people want to have it their way and their way alone. It's aggravating to be roleplaying with someone and they are being jerks because they want this and this to happen, not giving you any free reign in the plot. It's not a roleplay anymore then- it's a story you're making me type out for YOU.

4. When someone's not paying attention, and I mean REALLY not paying attention to what's going on. I sometimes forget to pay attention to some minor details in threads but not as bad as what I've seen. I have been in plenty roleplays across many sites where someone doesn't see that they have progressed the story and that person is still in the last section.

When you join a really good RP and the ball gets rolling and things are looking good.

Then the RP stops.

...and you can't help but feel that you caused it somehow. :(

My current gripe is when I have a solid group of people for my current RP, but they're all annoying as fuck in any and all instant messaging services.

Rp's that are have a limited number of selected incoming CS's. Making a CS is alot of work! If I don't get in, it feels like I just wasted a huge chunk of my time reading the lore, imagining a concept, and fleshing it out. I'd appreciate it if there was a cut off of 'well, these CS's are good, we're not taking anymore', but to select a few from dozens, and then throwing out the rest of the players just seems mean.

I guess I'm just lazy, but I don't like to put work in something, only to find I can't even Rp in it.

That moment when you're really into a rp -- and I mean like really obsessed about what the next stage or story arc will be -- and the GM decides to "put it on hold" cause they "lost their motivation". It's like a ton of bricks sinking you to the bottom of the sea with the sight of light quickly leaving your line of sight.

When people don't post. Plain and simple.

These days, just about every electronic device in the world has internet access, (this is an exaggeration) and there are lots of places that have free Wi-Fi. Even if you are unable to type an RP post, you can still put something quick in the OOC at least to let people know what's going on and/or keep a discussion going. I hate coming on, and seeing nothing going on in the RP's I'm in for days/weeks at a time... :/

You can't all be the main character. You can't ALL have tragic backstories, hidden powers, special transformations, and the ability to win every battle or recharge because you suffer from emotional tramua

Unless the GM is being completely unreasonable and the majority of the group thinks he or she is being unfair or putting his or her character first ahead of the others than yes. Please yes. This is the GM'S STORY. You're a part of it but at the end of the day who is the one who made the roleplay in the first place? Who is the one who is in charge of moving the story along? Who came up with the story in the first place? A gm has the exclusive right to do as they please in THEIR roleplay. If you don't like it go somewhere else, make your own roleplay, and or deal with it. You don't go up to the club president and tell them 'No I don't like this I want to do something completely different.' without having a valid reason behind it.

Now my OWN complaining time. I HATE people who complain about nations and wish they'd just implode on themselves just because of the people in the nation...so what? Massive suffering? Pain? Death? The complete desolation of a society and your going to cheer it on just because you don't like the way it's government acts? Well yeah that doesn't sound completely mental at all. Just wish general suffering on an entire group of people because of one reason or another don't mind all those innocent people that would get involved let's just cheer the suffering of our fellow man on some more woopty freaking doo!

1. Attracting buttloads of attention on an interest check, moving to an RP, messaging everybody, and only 2 People showing up. Thus the rp is shot down seconds after taking flight.

2. Ridiculously bad rp that seems to be everywhere all the time. Its like, they take a fandom mk? They make copy characters with dif names and some mental issue that is only brought up 1 or 2 times. N they're like I shoot you. But I have a shield. But it's a laser pistol. But it's a phazon shield. But the gun is enchanted. But the shield is magic too.

3. When yo soy hops on you had, and scoots you to the point where you are struggling to stay on the bed, but theyre dead asleep n you can make an stop.

4. I can't believe it's not BUTTER. Fuck that stuff.

5. Tumblr. No seriously, that place should be eliminated from the universe.

6. People who complain about how they have to wait SO LONG for their show's new season to go on Netflix, when they can watch the show erry week, and not have 2 wait a damn year or whatever.

Bitching is a poor woman's sport. True, I do not like stuff or like people in general. Bitching is free, it is a way to vent: it is just that you cannot make money from it unless you work for FOX NEWS! And then, you look like a asshole with a fan base that is less educated then the average common man. Sure you can write a book for the fan base "Bitching: The untold story" but you find yourself bagging to the less educated, the less well off, and the part of society that want to be worthless by choice.
