@GhostWing He is able to control and bend light which allows him to create illusions, make things invisible and avoid being burned by sunlight. but it doesn't hide wounds, if hes stabbed while hes invisible the wound would still be visible and vulnerable to sunlight and it wouldn't hide a gunshot if he was shooting while invisible and the illusions are just light images, tricks of the light.

So, since the Vampire queen is the "leader" of the vampires. Would the Lycans have an alpha?

Another question. What traditional vampire and werewolf weaknesses are we applying?

@Eklispe Very good question! I added a Weakness section to Luke's profile, but removed it due to uncertainty... I think the things I originally added were: silver (within the bloodstream), fire, and wolfsbane. Silver being the most potent, of course. Wolfsbane would be used in a torturous like fashion, making Lycans completely uncomfortable. Probably one of the most painful things to experience is being in contact with the stuff. Fire I would think would be more psychological if anything, but I would also imagine that fire is more dangerous to a Lycan compared to a human.

Of course, just some random stuff that I just thought of. :P Not my choice to make. No idea what Vampires would/should be weak too though.

If we were to delve into the weaknesses of both species, i'd wager that many of the traditional ones would still stand, i.e. Vampires being weak to sunlight, fire, blessed silver white ash tree stakes/arrows to the heart, & blood deprivation. Some of them such as an inability to cross may water may not still be in effect, as Ghost mentioned there being rain in the first post without making it seem like an issue, and whether or not church grounds and requiring permission to enter a house being issues remains to be seen, just as it remains to be seen whether the vampiric OCD* weakness is in play. It's safe to wager that things such as silver (both blessed and non blessed), wolfsbane, and fire would still cause issues for werewolves, though as Mafia mentioned, wolfsbane would be more of a severe allergen than it would be fatal, though it stands to reason that too much of the stuff might send a lycan into anaphylactic shock much like any allergen would. Depending on the lore, wolfsbane might also be used to cloak oneself from the sharp nose of a werewolf, though it would likely be a balancing act as too much could alert a lycan to the plant's presence, and too little would give away the wearer's scent. There may also be an issue with younger lycans having extreme difficultly controlling their blood lust and older ones having learned to curb (but not fully tame) theirs. This is all speculation on my part of course.

**In some lore it is believed that one can avoid a vampire attack by spilling a large quantity of rice or salt, as vampires are strongly compelled to count the grains due to obsessive compulsive disorder. Some villages still practice leaving piles of rice or salt outside of their houses to avoid attack.

Silver has no affect since they aren't werewolves, wolfsbane would indeed be a common allergen but in its most deadly form, aconite, would be a good way to poison and kill and generally lopping a head off kills pretty much anything and everything. And as far as bloodlust, there would only be any during a blood moon. This is the only time when a Lycan is forced to shift and has little control over themselves but still has some presence of mind and awareness.

A lot of the vampiric weaknesses are based on the origin of Judas Iscariot's curse and punishment for his betrayal of Jesus and so that would be why the blessed ash stakes, holy water and crosses harmed vampires and since in this universe, vampires are actually older than the human race, these weaknesses would be pure myth and not apply. And the vampire OCD thing always made me laugh since it appears to apply to a number of faerie folk, but no, no OCD. Young vampires say... under 100 years will be severely photo sensitive but vampires older than that will have started to build up a resistance to where they can get away with going out so long as they keep themselves mostly covered and use a high spf sun screen. Blood deprivation wouldn't kill them since by definition, vampires are technically not alive but that's the kind of debate my migraine prone brain doesn't want to handle... like ever.

Any other questions?

It's good to know the boundaries between species, thanks for the info. I referred to silver as a weakness for vampires yes, but only in it's blessed state as that would technically turn it into a holy weapon, however as you've said that holy weapons do not affect vampires, that too is no longer an issue. I too found the OCD thing laughable, however that's the main reason I posted it in the first place. I figured however that blood deprivation would at least result in a weakening of the vampire, or at the very least some negative side effects akin to a junkie suddenly going cold turkey.

Does the fatal bite rule apply between species? By which I mean if a lycan bit a vampire or vice versa, would the bite be fatal? Also, you stated that the vampires in this setting precede humanity, does that mean that humans are a result of a mutation in the species, or are they simply a result of parallel evolution? Sorry about my wordiness, I just find topics like this fascinating.

Depends if a Lycan is in their wolf form or have partially shifted their teeth then any bite could be fatal depending on what part of the body, since Lycans are natural born only, they aren't capable of creating a change bite or a bite that might have a killing agent if that's what you're meaning. A vampire's fangs are actually pretty delicate (luckily a lost tooth can grow back, kinda like how sharks are able to replace a tooth if they lose it) and would serve no purpose as to severely injuring a person but since vampires are both created and naturally born they do have a change bite and if they were to use such a bite on a Lycan, then it would cause grotesque mutations and will always lead to a painful death. As to your question about humans, that's another story entirely and that's also a surprise.

Yes, London.

The werewolves do indeed have a leader... For now they have no role since I'm unable to make him at the moment.

You're characters are accepted. But Logain needs an age, nothing older than 3,000 and reduce Hades' age to the same standard.

Yep, much better, so long as Logain's actual age doesn't turn out to be older than 3000.

So turning a human to vampire is by a special change-bite? What about blood sharing?
