I finally finished my character. I ended up chewing up and spitting out two before I decided on this one. Between that and my puppy going ninja then ending up in puppy jail it took me much longer than first anticipated. Apologies for that.

So hey @Darkmatter, I said it in the chat but you apparently missed it. Here is it again.

I know you're used to collaborating RT with other posters in syncpads, but that sort of arrangement is more suited for an NRP setting. For a character and in-the-moment setting like this one, it's better to just play by post in the traditional fashion. Sure, you aren't always going to be able to bang out thirty paragraph long scenes per post, but it's the overarching quality and direction of the story and plot that matters.

My next post, for example, is basically just going to be Charis shooting Jackson in the chest and then running away. Two paragraphs, tops, unless somebody else enters the scene or I decide to throw in some additional event details elsewhere.

I feel confident that as long as everybody doesn't get carried away with rapid-fire posting in scenes with multiple characters, there's no reason we can't play by post in the normal fashion while also making steady and regular progress.

I noticed that the numbers are distinctly one sided, My character is the type where gender hardly dictates its back story aside from the x versus y so if you would like I can change its gender before I begin the role.

Not at all, it's equal numbers really. Term's main character is actually male. A good mix is always best!

Puppy Jail is the pound or animal shelter. It is a very sad place, I have to talk myself at taking home another animal every time.

@Snaketicus, do you mind if I directly describe Jackson as being bit by the flechette gun and falling over dead, akin to what we discussed earlier? I'll leave the actual descriptive details and such to you. I was hoping to just have Charis start the fire and then skedaddle, but she'd only do so if she got the initial impression that Jackson was actually dead.

Alternatively, would you like me to keep her around for when he shows up a second time, or only include the action itself and let Jackson react to it more actively, what?

Both of the new sheets seem great! I'd just say maybe double back over and clean up on grammar a little. Not a huge deal but it's nice to have them ship shape for reference when needed. Feel free to start posting!

You linked the two threads in exactly how I was about to with the whole 'get to the warehouse' bit. Well played.

Look forward to getting this going further. Though I do agree with terminal in retrospect. I am more used to doing NRPs where longer, thought out posts on politics and meetings are the norm. As such I am used to the collab format but realized, and remembered it's not as suited to standard character based settings. brainstorming and fleshing out ideas is still key but I think we'd be better off keeping it to the OOC from now on.

That said, do you want to post next in our little interaction, or are you happy to skip to Will arriving dockside with Zaquina in tow in his car? Assuming he actually follows?
